St.Andrew's United Church
We planned our wedding in hubby's hometown for the convenience of the family. As a christian who desired a testimony of our marriage in church, we picked this beautiful yet cozy church.
During the initial communication and reservation process, everything seemed to be fine and we were told that we can direct our questions to the pastor anytime for feedback. However, we forward our questions to the pastor and never heard anything from him. Hubby went around trying all contact numbers to finally be able to confirm the rehearsal time and several coordination details. At rehearsal, someone besides the pastor showed up collecting all the fees and we handed over the program of our ceremony. The lady noted all the details at rehearsal (which we have clearly stated in the program) and promised the church will be opened 1.5 hours before our ceremony for us to setup and decorate.
The church wasn't opened until 30 minutes before our ceremony, leaving us almost no time to set up. The pastor showed up minutes before our ceremony was scheduled to start. Without preparing either one of us with prayers, he was determined to start the ceremony right away. Going through the program we provided, ignoring all the details we specified to share good news to the family members who are not christians, he led the ceremony fly by within 30 minutes. And disappeared before we could even catch a picture with him. If you're looking for a spiritually fulfilled wedding ceremony while you're not a member of this church, stay away from this place. It's all about a business here.
