If you are looking for a beautiful venue to have your Catholic ceremony, look no further. My guests thought it was beautiful and loved the historic aspect of it. The staff was polite and friendly, and the organ music was outstanding. However, do not even entertain the notion that your ceremony can be at all customized. The church makes it very difficult to make your own choices. If this aspect is not important to you, then by all means- have at it. My husband and I have said though several times if we had to do it all over, we would have gone another way. Examples of things you may not customize: the groom cannot wait at the alter for the bride to come down the aisle, you may not have decor on the pews, you may not walk down to secular music or use secular music in the ceremony, you get only one song to walk down to- you, and everyone in your wedding party will walk to the same song. You cannot wear your veil over your face, you must choose one of their readings- not even able to select another Biblical passage. The only thing you can do that's different is a cultural item like lasso or coins. But again, if none of this matters to you, then this is wonderful place for your ceremony to take place. Also, please note that there is a very long waiting period to get married- 9 months and lots of classes to take!
