Tom was a great dj. Couldn't of been happier with the quality of music and sound as well as his selection of music. He played everything we asked for and then some!! Both the young generation as well as the old had a blast!!! He made sure to keep in touch with us every step of the way, making sure we didn't forget anything. The planning was wonderful... he came to meet me (not once but twice) at a location that was convenient for me.. and even offered to meet yet again when my fiance couldn't make the last meeting! We used Tom at Starry Nite DJs for our recent wedding. We were blown away at how amazing our day turned out and much of it was due to Tom. In planning for our wedding, we talked about how we had been to weddings that fell flat because of the DJ. We knew that we wanted a DJ that was energetic and would keep our guests on the dance floor the entire night. As luck would have it, we attended a wedding before ours where Tom was the DJ. We knew immediately he was the person for us and approached him that night about doing our special day.

Being a very involved couple, we were thrilled with Tom during the planning process alone. He met with us well before the wedding and then was in touch via email almost weekly. We talked through every aspect of the reception, which culminated in a timeline for the night nearly down to the minute. Tom’s experience allows him to guide you where you need guidance, but his easy-going personality allows you to make suggestions that he will incorporate into your day. We were put at ease by his professionalism and willingness to make sure our day was OUR day.

If you are looking for a DJ with a professional attitude and offers a personal touch before your special day than Starry Nite is the DJ service for you. We used Tom Salatto’s DJ service and Tom was our personal DJ, along with an assistant, for our wedding day. Leading up to the date, Tom has you fill out an easy to navigate worksheet to map out the music and structure of our wedding day. He took the time to come to our house and meet with us personally to go over the worksheet and answer any last minute questions we may have had.
The thing that drew us to Tom is his vast knowledge of music in general and the fact that he seemed honest and again very professional. He was easy to work with and did not pressure us or look down at us in any decisions we made on our music selections. He also posts blogs on certain issues that brides and grooms might be facing leading up to the wedding. His insight on certain topics relating to the parent dancing and suggestions on how to select your ceremony music was invaluable.
On the day of our wedding, Tom showed up on time and ready to go. It was a very hot day (98 degrees and in the sun) and Tom was in excellent spirits. We did have a bit of difficulty with the microphone that Tom used for our ceremony, not sure if it was wind related, but Tom did a good job of adjusting. He also did a wonderful job of keeping the music going after all the formalities and very understanding with our multi - parent situation. Flexible I think is a good word to describe Tom.
Tom also listened to our request to play mostly 90’s and college rock. No one knows our guests better than my wife and I and he did a good job of listening to what we wanted. He also knew what songs where a dance floor killer and what was not. He also listened to our coordinator when we sent her up to kill a song we did not want to be play, again, very flexible.
We were very pleased with Tom Salatto and Starry Nite’s services. They are affordable, flexible, and just a wealth of music knowledge and professionalism. Thank you Tom for helping making our date a special...

Picking a DJ was the hardest part for us. There isn't a whole lot of work you can view and the music can make or break the event. I was a little nervous because we wanted a simple wedding (no introductions of bridal party, no group dances, etc) and that seemed atypical. However, Tom assured us he'd give us exactly what we wanted. The dance floor was packed all night and he didn't play any group dances until we went up and told him it was okay since we had so many friends requesting them and they ended up getting everyone dancing even more! He checked in with us a few times during the event to see how everything was going and gave us a CD with some of the wedding songs on them. We have heard from so many people that this was the first wedding they danced at. My legs are killing me from dancing non-stop!

As any wedding its a very stressful time. Tom was hands down the least stress of the planning. He has a great personality and is very experienced in music. Tom will be able to provide any style of music you wish to have. On the day of the wedding our guests could not stay seated and it was all thanks to Starry Nite Entertainment. We talk about using Starry Nite for our anniversary party and highly recommend Tom to anyone who asks. Once again thank you Tom for an amazing memory.

Compared to ALL the vendors and everyone we used (besides photographer) Starry Night Entertainment was the most professional and customer driven. Well worth the few dollars paid for a great night and great MC. If anything just sit and talk with Tom and you'll see why Starry Night Ent. gets my recommendation as well as the recommendation of many others!

The best DJ anyone could have.!!!!! Tom made my wedding a magical night by playing all different types of music so that everyone can enjoy my reception, I couldn't have ask for more. Tom, the owner of Starry Nite was awesome. He worked with us to pick great music from start to finish. We met a few times before the wedding and his hands-on style really helped us in coordinating everything from our on-site ceremony to the last dance. We worked with Tom to pick all songs for ceremony procession and and the timing of all the events. He is very organized and provides a very thorough approach to make sure he has all details of the day in order. Tom took note of all family and special guests, and all the special requests and surprise songs we had in mind. He offers a WIDE variety of music and has every style to choose from. We were all over the place in our selection - and he delivered exactly what we wanted- from classical to country to rap! Tom has a very friendly and upbeat personality which was awesome from helping us plan to the actual wedding day - he is very social with the guests and keeps energy going. He truly loves his job and it shows! He set up special lighting and moved the sound system when we made a last minute change to where we wanted to have our first dance. Tom was the best DJ - everyone was dancing all night and had a great time!

I'm very picky when it comes to music. Tom was awesome from the beginning. He worked around our schedule to arrange meetings, "got" our musical taste and worked with it, and was wonderful even when I wanted a specific recording of the music for the processionals. The dance floor was packed all night and everyone has been very complimentary about the pacing and flow of the evening. Tom was entertaining without being obtrusive and kept us and the photographers abreast of what was coming up. Another favorite vendor.

From the start, we felt very comfortable with having Tom as our DJ at our wedding. He made very good recommendations and was very open to our suggestions. It was a pleasant experience planning a wedding with someone who has so much experience.

Tom was reliable and prompt, and very professional. As well as a DJ, he became our Master of Ceremonies and ensured our entire wedding ceremony and reception ran smoothly. His selection of music was always appropriate, he was always conscious of the sound levels and his lighting effects added a sparkle. He has an uncanny knack of knowing what music the audience appreciates, whether for Oldies or teenagers. A number a people commented afterward that "they hadn't danced for years" but Tom's enthusiasm was so infectious and his music so good that it was hard to stay off the dance floor.

Our wedding was a joyous occasion from beginning to end, thanks in a large part to Starry Nite Entertainment. Tom is the best in the business!

It was so great working with you! We really appreciated you meeting with us twice before the wedding to go over all the details, it made the day much less stressful as we knew we wouldn't have to worry about the music! Also, thank you for going along with our last minute (or second) changes! During the ceremony you were professional and most importantly - fun! You worked well with our family, friends and photographer, which made everything stress free for us.

It was everything we hoped for and more, you not only played all the songs we asked for, but were able to feel out the crowd and kept everyone (from 13 - 85) dancing literally all night long. And a huge thank you for playing the additional 30/45 minutes! Our friends and family are still talking about how much fun they had dancing! We had family members out dancing that we have never seen dance before!

I think you set the tone for the entire ceremony with your laid back, yet professional interaction style with all our guests. We would without doubt recommend you to any engaged couples planning their big day. If fun is what people are looking for, Tom is the man for the job. We were so impressed with you that we wish we could have bought you a drink at the end of the night!

You were amazing! Everyone commented how you joined right into the festivities with the conga line etc. You sure put me at ease when I needed you and were always available for questions and answers.

We met with Tom prior to our wedding at our house for music selections and told him what artists/choices we preferred, and Tom made sure to play all our song selections. He also had great suggestions how we could budget our time with our reception being we only had 41/2 hours by cutting our cocktail hour to ½ hr instead of 1 hour. It worked out perfectly because it left my guests with enough time for dancing and enjoying themselves. We can't begin to express how thrilled we are with how you "ran the show" at our wedding! Even before the big day, you took the time to meet with us about a month ahead of time and planned out then entire reception -- complete with an itinerary! Whenever we had a question or an idea for the reception, we e-mailed you, and had an answer within hours [if that!]. Your organization, exceptional knowledge of wedding planning, and constant contact put the both of us at ease and made us feel completely comfortable putting the night in your hands.

We were especially impressed with your musical selections. When James and I were trying to explain our vastly different musical tastes to you, we felt that we weren't even making sense; however, you intuitively knew what we wanted and found a way to incorporate both of our tastes -- head-banging rock & roll and pop. Tom is great; he's so flexible and easy to work with. I gave him a huuuuge list of songs and told him only to work off that. And to not take requests. I was pretty controlling, but he was so reassuring, saying it was our day and he was there to make it great for us. He met with us and sat with us for over an hour going over the schedule and what we wanted when and coordinating all the music with us beforehand. Overall he did a great job. A couple minor issues I had was that he introduced us into the reception wrong, using my maiden name. Not a big deal. Another thing was that he cut the ending off the dance with my father; we had a whole fast-paced routine worked out and Tom faded the song 10 seconds before it was supposed to end with a kick! Not so huge and no one probably noticed but I told him beforehand about it and thought we were on the same page. Everyone danced all night; Tom was great in making my crazy playlist into workable reception music. Ceremony music was also fantastic; he was able to find some obscure versions of songs I wanted on a few days notice. I would DEFINITELY recommend Tom, he's a great value and so professional. He's been doing it forever and knows all the ins and outs. Thanks Tom!!!

Thank you for all your hard work at our wedding. It was a pleasure working with you, from the moment we met you at the pre-wedding consultation until the day of our wedding. You are very personable, easy to work with, and all of our guests were really impressed with your service...they even had a good laugh as they remembered dancing with you! You played a great variety of music, including some Christmas and Italian which our guests LOVED!
 
You also paid extra attention to details and made sure everything went perfectly when we were introduced as "Mr. & Mrs" (and all announcements), and did a great job timing the cake cutting and garter toss.. Overall, you were very professional, and dependable (as the weather was icy out that day, you still managed to make it there without any problem) your wife was a pleasure to work with as well. Relatives that are always too embarrassed to get up and dance were dancing all night long! You got along well with other vendors, even though you were by far more professional than some. Dom and I could tell you were having a great time too, and would have kept playing all night. The night just flew by and we appreciate all the wonderful memories. First of all, your personality and enthusiasm brings people right in and makes them feel comfortable. Breaking down the events of the night during our Consultation was most helpful since neither of us had a clue about the events, dances and order!



The announcements and accompanying music were wonderful! You captured each moment and we loved how each event (walking in, Cake, Garter, etc.) had its own timing and special moment rather than everything blurring into one another. Each was fun and distinct, with a different feel.



Overall, it was absolutely wonderful. You took charge over what happened (in a good way) like talking to the wedding party about walking in, gathering everyone for cake, interacting with people throughout the night, instead of just pushing play - you were warm, inviting, funny and professional. Everyone can see you genuinely wanted it to be a good time!
