If I could sum up my experience with Steady Creek Cinema in one word, it would be AMAZING! Everything that they did was extremely professional and prompt and they did an absolutely fantastic job of capturing the important moments of the day. In terms of value, I don't think that there is a better team out there. They answered all of our questions, and provided us with a lot of guidance. They did such a good job of blending into the background, that at times, you forgot that they were even there. I have friends and family who have waited months, and even years, to get the final copy of their wedding video. Whereas, we had ours in our living room in less than 2 weeks in both Blu ray and standard DVD formats for our enjoyment. I cannot mention how many people have commented on the quality of the video and editing. I could go on for a while when it comes to Steady Creek Cinema, but go ahead and let them help to capture the special moments of your big day. Thanks again guys!

We had such a wonderful experience with Steady Creek Cinema! I really struggled to find a cinematographer in the Pittsburgh area for our wedding- we were either disappointed with the quality or the prices were outrageous! The Steady Creek Cinema team provided quality, professionalism and an amazing product all at a very reasonable price. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding video- we can't thank them enough!!

SteadyCreek Cinema did the videography for My wedding in November, at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling West Virgina. I was so pleased with the overall finished video. During the Ceremony and reception,they were very quiet and behind the scenes, I barely even knew they were there! They were very professional and captured every moment. Not only were their prices the most reasonable that I could find, their work is magic. The editing they do for your video is so beautiful. If you want artistic eyes filming your special day, they are the way to go! I HIGHLY recommend Steady Creek CInema!

Danny and Andrew did the videography for my 2 day Indian wedding in Pittsburgh, and despite this being their first Indian wedding, they nailed it! They were very responsive during the weeks prior to the wedding, and took advice from my wedding coordinator on which traditions to capture. During the two days of the wedding, they blended into the festivities easily and managed to catch absolutely every detail I would have expected, but didn't directly mention to them. They were very pleasant and helpful to have around!

They are very, very talented and the videos turned out beautiful, artsy, and elegant! Friends have called my highlight reel the best they've ever seen, and my family cannot stop watching the videos. I gave them very little direction (actually, no direction) on how to put these together, but they managed to put together videos that fit my husbands and my personality so incredibly well. I couldn't recommend them enough! Thank you for everything!

Our goal is to capture the essence of your special day, using all of the technical and creative means at our disposal. We are collaborators, and believe effective communication is the key to satisfaction. Likewise, we enjoy working with couples to ensure they receive a product befitting their personal taste and style. We use multiple High Definition 1080p DSLR cameras and shoot with a narrative mindset. We find shots that are visually appealing and capture the mood of the moment. We are primarily a husband and wife team, home based.

Do you offer demo DVDs for potential clients to look at?

Yes. Just ask!

Describe any special editing services you offer:

We create feature-length films, two distinct short-form editing options, as well as photo slideshows.

Do you have lighting equipment to accommodate a more dimly-lit event?

While we have onbpard lights for our cameras, we tend to shy away from them because they have the potential to become distracting. We've shot in some dark venues, but have always managed. Our sample videos were all shot without additional lighting.

How many videographers do you work with?

We always shoot with 2-3 videographers depending on your package selection.

Does the client get to meet the videographers before the event?

We are glad to arrange meetings, and actually prefer to meet clients prior to booking to get a better sense of their personality and needs.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

Yes. We will definitely be at your event.

Do you have a replacement videographer in case you become unavailable on the event day?

Yes, we have a list of able replacements.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

We shoot using multiple HD 1080p DSLR cameras, a wireless lav mic for the groom during the ceremony, portable sound recording equipment, monopods, a tripod, additional camera accessories and onboard lighting for dark venues.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

While we don't contractually require a meal, it is always highly appreciated.

Do you charge overtime?

We specify hours booked prior to the event, but are also flexible, and never leave without feeling we've captured enough to produce a quality recollection of the day.

Do you give access to your raw footage?

Yes, all clients have the option of purchasing a raw footage drive.

Do you reserve the right to use the video in the future for deals, contents, etc.?

By our contract we reserve the right to use captured images for display and demo purposes, but are willing to accomodate privacy requests.

How long does it take for the client to get the final video?

Our turnaround time is between 2-5 weeks after the event date, with the average being about 3.

Do you require a minimum number of hours to book?

Our packages include a minimum of 6 hours, though we are happy to accomodate special circumstances.

Additional Advice

What are the best conditions for shooting a great video?

The key to great video? Space and light! Venues with ample natural light provide the best exposure, and greatly enhance the quality of the image. Open areas also help us avoid cramping, or accidentally including photographers in our shots.

Most outdoor weddings for example, would perfectly fulfill these requirements.

Small, tightly packed environments with low mood-lighting make it difficult for us to shoot. You will still receive a high-quality video, but taking these factors into acccount will ensure you get the most from your experience with us.
