We loved our pictures from Steve. His assistant was also great. They were professional and clearly knew good lighting, which photos to take, and how to get the shots in a time crunch. If I could redo the wedding and choose all new vendors, Steve would still be my photographer of choice.

I really liked the creative photo suggestions that my photographer came up with. I feel that I really got my my moneys worth and I have artistic filled memories...not just a bunch of pictures that anyone could take.

After looking over hundreds of photographers, I felt the Steve Lyons' staff offered the artistic style I was looking for merged with the best package choices. I was very happy with the picture quality and selection.

Listening to your needs and preferences, we take a creative approach with a balance of contemporary and photojournalistic style that capture the true emotion of the wedding experience. Our photography style can best be described as contemporary, creative, and documentary. We pride ourselves on our cutting edge life-style portraits and ability to capture all the special moments that make up your wedding day. As a business our style could be best described as laid back; we are photographers first and sales people second. Our passion and commitment to our photography is from beginning to end. We are just as committed to our photography in the post-production as we are on your wedding day and each day leading up to it.

What do your packages include?

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?

Our photographers edit each image from every wedding we shoot to make sure that every image you receive looks beautiful. We treat our photos as art, and apply various effects to the images for added mood and drama.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?

Yes. We use lighting equipment and know how to best use it in varying situations so your images are well lit to suit the shot.

Is your media preference film or digital?

We shoot fully digital.

How many photographers do you work with?

Our studio currently has two lead photographers- Steve and Drew. We also have a list of second photographers we use to contact to choose who will assist one of our leads at each event.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

Steve is guaranteed to photograph the first wedding booked for each date he is available where the client books packages 1-4. If choosing package 5 or an a la carte package or if Steve is already booked, Drew would be your lead photographer. All of this information is made clear before you sign the contract, so there are no surprises!

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

Each photographer has only one wedding per day. On occasion our photographers will have multiple weddings over a weekend, but they still work hard to get the best images possible.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

Yes! This is very important and we will have extra gear just in case.

Do you charge hourly or full day?

We charge differently in each of our packages, based on number of hours and products included. Hourly rates are available for a la carte packages.

Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?

Yes! You're always able to add additional hours to your package, even the day of the wedding! The price is $200/hr for the lead photographer only.

Do you charge for travel?

Yes, for weddings outside of the Greater Cincinnati area we do charge a travel fee. Please contact us for prices for out of town weddings.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

Our turnaround time is approximately 4-6 weeks from your wedding date.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?

Each wedding receives their wedding images first in their own Pictage gallery.

How long can the client keep the proofs?

The Pictage gallery will be live for one year from their wedding date.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

Yes, we do. However you are given a disc with printing rights via a release form in each package. This means we retain the actual copyright, but you're free to make prints for personal use on your own.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

Yes. We publish images on our blog, Facebook, and website for promotional purposes. Occasionally we submit to wedding magazines and blogs as well.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?

We do provide digital files to our clients. Each packages includes a high resolution disc of all of your final images, along with a print release form, so you can archive and print your wedding images.

Will images be available for viewing online?

Yes. Each wedding receives its own event gallery on Pictage.com so that the images are able to be easily viewed by the clients, their friends and family.

What kind of albums do you offer?

We offer both traditional matted albums and modern coffee table albums. There are three types of coffee table albums with many customizable features to make sure you have a book unique to your wedding day.

When will the client get the final album?

We begin the ordering process when the client contacts us after the proofs have gone online- approximately 4-6 weeks after the wedding date. Production time varies based on what type of album you're ordering.
