Stone Harbor Resort

Everyone was a pleasure to work with and they did everything in their power to make our wedding day a dream come true!!!! Our wedding guests are still talking about our day and how it was one of the best weddings most of them have ever been too!!!

We loved working with the Stone Harbor Resort and their team. The event location was a beautiful and really was an impressive statement to our guests. We had so many compliments on the amenities at the resort, the scenery from the resort, and having access to several shops and restaurants all within walking distance.

Our wedding and reception ran smoothly and on time (even with last minute requests). The entire team at SH acknowledged we were the couple getting married and went above and beyond to make us feel like we were their most important guests for the weekend. We will return with family and friends and we look forward to seeing our Stone Harbor friends for years to come.

Stone Harbor was an absolute joy to work with! Nancy was more than accommodating to all of our requests and questions about our wedding day. Not only did she help coordinate our wedding reception from start to finish, she also decorated the ballroom for us! What a lifesaver - and it looked beautiful! The dinner entrees we chose were delicious, and everyone loved their meal.

Stone Harbor also hosted our cocktail reception on their waterfront patio with hors d'oeuvres and a bar. Our day was perfect and went off without a hitch with a big thank you to Nancy and Stone Harbor Resort. I would recommend them with out a doubt!

While we loved the venue itself and the wedding day was wonderful, the planning and reliability of the management at Stone Harbor had much to be desired. Their delayed response time to emails and phone calls was unacceptable. We showed up for our final meeting and the general manager finally came down 30 minutes after our meeting time. On the day of our wedding, the manager called me 20 minutes before our ceremony was to start because she had lost the charger plates we had brought up weeks earlier. Fortunately, one of my bridesmaids took control and they located them before I even knew anything was wrong. There were also little things like the fact that we paid to have Champagne toast at the head table and family tables and they brought wine (instead of champagne) only to the head table so I had to scramble to find a waitress to bring something to the families. For being such a popular place to host weddings, I expected much more from them. If you love the location, it's a great place for a wedding but be prepared to have to put in extra effort in doing anything that involves planning with them.

Stone Harbor is a beautiful place to have a wedding. We had some issues with responsiveness, as many questions took a long time to get answered, if they were answered at all. However, our guests were in awe of the reception, and Tom the banquet manager, is completely wonderful and helpful. We wouldn't have changed our venue.

Nancy (general manager) was a PLEASURE to work with, she truly listened to our vision and helped us make it happen. Our reception was beautiful. Our guests continue to compliment us on how professional the staff were, and how efficiently they served 300 guests. We are so glad we chose Stone Harbor!

You will not be disappointed! We are so glad we chose Stone Harbor to host our dinner and reception for our wedding. Our guests LOVED it here also and it was so convenient to have everything in one spot. We continue to go back to Stone Harbor for romantic weekend getaways and hope to renew our vows here for our 10yr anniversary!
The food is always fab, the staff always always friendly and helpful....we have never had a bad experience!

Nancy and Jane were absolutely great to work with. They had to put up with a TON of issues dealing with us and they never missed a beat. They both went above and beyond for us in every way. If you are looking for a great venue in Door County/Sturgeon Bay, this place is fantastic with its beautiful waterfront views and high-class resort.
