Stone Manor Country Club

The Stone Manor Country Club (Bed and Breakfast) in Middletown, Maryland is the perfect venue for a wedding ceremony and reception. In late March 2013, we had a quaint wedding with our 50 guests in the garden of the Stone Manor with cocktail hour and reception inside. This 1800s Manor has tons of charm and character and added a touch of class and elegance to our big day. Brian did a wonderful job making sure that our ceremony and reception stayed on track and that guests were in the right places at the right times. Brian is a pleasure to work with and was always responsive to our questions and needs. Vern and Aster prepared an amazing made to order breakfast for our guests each morning and are great people. The rooms at the Stone Manor are large and four of them even have large accompanying sitting rooms complete with fireplaces. This is a great venue for a wedding or for a weekend away from the city. The Stone Manor is charming, the people are great and the price is right.

As soon as my husband and I stepped foot onto the property, we knew that Stone Manor was the place for our wedding. My husband and I were married at Stone Manor on October 20, 2012.

The service that we received from the staff and their preferred vendors was absolutely amazing! Brian and Loree made everything about my wedding day easy, and kept me on schedule. I could not have imagined a day more perfect! Even at my rehearsal, when my family started to stress me out about selfish things that we had already discussed, Brian stepped in and took care of it so I didn't flip out!

Stone Manor is an absolutely gorgeous venue... they have a stellar reputation, and definitely live up to it.

Brian and Lori were great and wonderful to work with. You do not have to worry about anything. Their number one priority is your wedding. The venue is beautiful. Although it rain the day of my wedding, the ceremony had to be in the tent, everything turn out well and without any worries. My husband and I stayed the night at Stone Manor, the rooms are beautiful. The breakfast the next day was delicious and the innkeepers were so nice and accommodating. I would definitely recommend getting married at Stone Manor.

Stone Manor knows how to do weddings! I booked the venue 18 months before our wedding and got the last date in October. This place goes fast for a reason. Brian made sure that everything was needed was done and worked great with other vendors. We primarily went off of their preferred vendors list and for good reason! The place was great! I only wish that the fans/heaters were included in the price!

My wedding day had what every bride fears - rain. But no matter, the staff worked so well with everyone to make sure that the day still ran as smoothly as possible. This venue is so gorgeous. The best way to describe it is: garden fairytale. I was dissapointed that I was not able to use the outdoor venue because of the rain, but the tent provided a beautiful plan B. All the guests commented on how much they loved the Manor and the decor. I would definitely reccomend this venue to any bride. From start to finish, the staff were wonderful to work with, and I would choose this venue every time - rain or not :)

It was honestly a complete JOY to work with Brian and Loree! They were extremely responsive and were quick to answer any questions or concerns that we had. They were exceptionally flexible when it came to things that we wanted to do for the ceremony. Without them and their hard work I don't think that my wedding would have been as wonderful as it was.

My husband and I were married on September 28, 2012 at Stone Manor Country Club. All I can say is WOW! The venue itself is beyond beautiful and Brian and Loree are so friendly and easy to work with! I emailed them several times a week in the few months leading up to our wedding and they were always so responsive and helpful. And Brian made our wedding day such a breeze. Even though we hired an outside day-of coordinator, his smiling face was still around the entire day to make sure everything was perfect for us and our guests. They also provide all of their couples with a preferred vendor list...USE IT! All but one of our vendors was on the list and that was the best decision we could've ever made. All of our vendors knew each other and the entire day went off without a hitch! To anyone out there questioning weather or not to book Stone Manor Country Club, I'm here to tell you to DO IT! You won't regret it!

Thank you Brian, Loree and the rest of the staff at the Stone Manor for a wonderful and stress-free experience! Everyone who works there is professional and attentive. My now-husband and I were looking for a venue that had a rustic/country charm appeal but we had trouble finding one that fit all of our needs. One of our major requirements was to find a facility that was extremely handicap accessible since several of our grandparents and family members have limited mobility and use of wheelchairs. The Stone Manor provided the perfect combination of the look and feel we wanted while providing the staff support and handicap accessibility the other venues we looked at couldn't provided.

The day of, everything went off perfectly. We had some day of changes, (my fault since the location I picked for the ceremony wouldn't fit everyone who had RSVP’d!) but Brian and the rest of the staff did a great job accommodating and adapting to the changes while keeping my stress levels at a minimum! They also did a great job keeping the day moving and on schedule. I feel like all I had to do was show up the day of the wedding and they took care of everything else.

This is an experienced staff and they know weddings! They were open and excited to my ideas and helped make my wedding a dream come true! Thank you again for such a lovely experience.

Brian and his team at stone manor made our daughter's wedding flow smoothly and flawlessly from start to finish.They were so accommodating and gracious, and bent over backward in their effort to make this wedding the day we had all dreamed of! Stone Manor Country Club was a beautiful venue set in the country side. Brian and Loree were wonderful to work with. They were very helpful and knowledgeable as they have done so many weddings in the past. They know what works and what doesnt. Their professionalism and their experience made me confident in their ability to facilitate and host our event. And be warned... they are so popular, they book up fast. So there is no time to waste!

Brian and Loree made everything wonderful! They were patient, kind, and very helpful. The innkeepers were also fantastic and I would highly reccommend that anyone getting married at Stone Manor spend the night for the excellent breakfast made by the innkeepers the next morning! Brian and the Stone Manor team helped to make my wedding dreams come true! The venue itself is absolutely stunning! My guests couldn't stop complementing on how beautiful the manor house and the grounds were. I loved having my own bridal suite to got ready in at the manor house, the grounds with different ceremony spots to choose from and how the venue set-up allows for an easy flow to the evening. Thanks to the director, Brian and his staff for making this a day to remember. From our initial visit to the last guest leaving, Brian made this day amazing. We had the ceremony at another location and had to travel about an hour to the venue for the reception. It was well worth the ride. Stone Manor Country Club is an amazing venue. The lawns are well manicured and the landscaping is beautiful. We are still getting calls asking us “how did we find this venue.” This venue exemplifies my taste. Sheer elegance.

We had an amazing experience at Stone Manor Country Club. The Manor is beautiful and conducive to lovely photographs of the bride and groom preparing for the wedding. Outside is a stone terrace for cocktail hour and is comfortable for a crowd. The grounds are meticulously kept, a beautiful view, a lovely trellis under which my son and his fiancee got married. The party tent is clean and cool, with a wooden dance floor in the center. Brian was very attentive to our needs, recommending caterers, bartenders, music, photographers and even cake bakers. He was considerate of our budget and flexible with our needs. We could not be happier to have chosen this beautiful spot to celebrate their marriage.

From the beginning, Brian and Loree were extremely responsive and helpful throughout the planning process. Brian was willing to offer helpful wedding planning suggestions from the first day we toured the grounds. The day of the wedding, Brian was very responsive to our last minute questions, particularly about how to go about setting up our candy bar. The Bridal Suite is absolutely gorgeous! Stone Manor is a beautiful venue and the tent is literally like an outdoor ballroom. Unfortunately, due to the heat on the day of our wedding, not everyone got to take in the beauty of the grounds because we ended up moving the cocktail hour inside the tent, but everyone was grateful for this decision because we had rented air conditioning units for the tent, which made the tent the perfect temperature (even with the 100 degree temperature outside). During our reception, a huge storm came through the area. Brian was extremely professional and looked out for the safety of all our guests during this unexpected event. Although the wind was blowing extremely hard, we did not need to evacuate the tent, however Brian made sure that we remained calm during everything. The storm eventually passed and the party continued! Everyone had an amazing time at our wedding, regardless of the unexpected drama with the weather!! We would highly recommend Stone Manor to anyone!

My sweetheart and I were married at Stone Manor on June 23, 2012 and were beyond pleased with the experience we had. Brian and Loree worked seamlessly with our vendors, even though they were not selected from the “preferred vendors” list provided. The grounds were perfectly maintained and provided an elegant, yet comfortable atmosphere that my guests are still talking about 6 months later!
We really lucked out with our weather and the setting could not have been more perfect. The flow of events from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception worked very well and the guests had no trouble moving from one to the next. We absolutely wanted the wedding to have a feeling of a comfortable summer garden party but with an understated elegance. Stone Manor delivered! My favorite moment of the reception was looking out on the grounds as the sun was setting and watching the children chase fireflies while their parents strolled around the gardens. That moment will live with me forever as exactly the type of summer evening that memories are made of. To make it even better, I continue to hear from a number of my guests (to this day!) that it was to most beautiful and FUN wedding they had ever been to (music to any bride’s ear!).
Brian and Loree were attentive to every detail and polished in their execution. They were insistent of having a back-up plan in case of rain, which I appreciated. I had no worries on the day of and that is simply because of their professionalism and experience. I also greatly appreciated how easy their set-up and break –down policies were for my caterer. I wanted to be sure to squeeze every last joyful second out of my wedding and I was able to do that because of their approach.
The Inn at Stone Manor was utilized by a number of my guests for the evening and I heard wonderful things about their stay. I would HIGHLY recommend Stone Manor to any bride looking for a beautiful and memorable wedding.

Quality is in the details. Brian (manager) was a fanatic about making sure everything was perfect - including our fear of bugs! We had the wedding outside but reviewed rain plans with indoor rehearsals. The house caterer was NOT at all good (not recommended - their "authentic Italian" menu was a joke) so we brought one in from DC (Windows) who knew Brian well and everything was PERFECT. Every guest (most from DC and VA) was amazed at the event with everyone noting it was the best wedding they had ever been to. A truly elegant and beautiful affair. Side note - use Windows (Alexandria VA) as your caterer here - between Brian and the Andrade's at Windows, your event will astonish.

There is no doubt that Stone Manor is one of the most gorgeous venues in the Frederick area. They work closely with Carriage House catering, who provides EXCELLENT food at a reasonable price. Also, being able to bring in your own alcohol saved us $1000s of dollars! Brian and Loree are very organized and work hard to make sure the events run smoothly. There is no air conditioning available in the tent and they charge $100 for fans. It worked out OK for us, since a little rain cooled things down, but I would worry about some of these hot summer months! Overall, it was an amazing place to get married and have a reception!

Wonderful wedding venue. We are still hearing about how everyone loved our wedding, describing it as perfect, romantic, and the best wedding they have ever been too. The grounds are so beautiful. There is not much décor that is needed because the grounds are naturally beautiful. There are so many options for picture opportunities. They have a vineyard, barn, and a lake. Having all these options gave us very beautiful and memorable pictures.
We had a big wedding party so there was room for everyone to get ready at the same location. Brian and Loree, the owners, were so patient and helpful along the way and the day of. So much so that a wedding planner for the day of is not needed, since they handled all of that. They took care of everything and worked so well with the other venders that I did not have to stress about it. There are so many other things to stress about that it made it so much more memorable to have them handle it while I and my husband just enjoyed the day. They are incredibly patient even if you have a bit of a rowdy crowd, they handle it with tolerance, patience, and forgiveness. The only thing is that the tent does get a bit hot if it is a warm and humid day. You do have the option of fans, heaters, and pulling up the sides or down. If it is a summer wedding, I would recommend doing it a bit later in the evening so it is a little cooler. Overall, we are so glad to have had this experience at Stone Manor, we couldn’t have asked for a better place and we would highly recommend this venue to everyone.

Brian, Loree, and the entire staff were wonderful! We found Stone Manor online while searching for a venue, and after only looking at one other place, we knew we wanted our wedding here. It is a beautiful setting for an outdoor wedding. Every question and concern we had leading up to the wedding months in advance (and the questions the day of the wedding) were answered promptly by Loree and Brian, helping to ease some of the stress that can come with wedding planning. There were no details overlooked. My dad and his girlfriend stayed overnight in the Inn after the wedding and they loved it. The "Inn Keepers" ensured they got a great breakfast and great service during their stay (they asked my dad and his girlfriend specifically what they would want for breakfast the night before). The caterer was great - every detail was taken care of and they were willing to work within our budget. Everything just went so smoothly and we couldn't have asked for a better day! It was perfect!! Thank you!

Brian was extremely helpful throughout the planning process. Everything was very organized and the venue was beautiful. They have an amazing tent for the receptions that is built in so you don't feel like you are in a tent (and it even looks pretty in the pictures). The house was gorgeous inside and out and I would choose the venue again and again.

Brian and Loree were wonderful to work with and our wedding at Stone Manor was perfect! I appreciated how organized and prepared Brian was and that we rehearsed the rain plan just in case. We had gorgeous weather and Brian made sure we were adequately bug sprayed prior to our ceremony (there were some pesky gnats). Brian and Loree kept everything moving smoothly and Vern and Astra ( the innkeepers) took care of us for breakfast (we rented out the whole inn for the night which was wonderful). Love me some Brian Childs at Stone Manor Country Club. Brian and his wife Loree run the show at Stone Manor and are pros at making weddings run smoothly and efficiently. The property is beautiful and impeccably manicured, the guest rooms are spotless and welcoming and they have an impressive roster of vendors with whom they frequently do business, which makes the whole wedding planning process just a little less stressful. Brian is accommodating of his brides and was a calming presence for me on my wedding day -- I really appreciated that.

Stone Manor Country Club provided us with a lovely venue for my daughter and son-in-law's special day. The innkeepers made us feel comfortable and were helpful, they also provided us with a lovely home cooked breakfast both mornings that we stayed there. As the mother of the bride, I would like to especially thank Brian (Childs) for all of his help in preparing us for this big day. He was wonderful in planning, scheduling, organizing, responding quickly to our inquiries and thankfully had a personality that ensured calm would prevail. It also helped that he had a wonderful sense of humor. We all felt better with him at the helm!!! Thanks to all of you! Only thing my husband missed was not having a tv in the room!

I'm the Mother of the Bride. Not only did they do a really good job organizing, setting up, running the show etc, they were exceptionally nice and helpful. We laughed through the whole thing, Brian kept the wedding party calmed down with his sense of humor and his incredible organizational skills. Several of us spent the night there and the accommodations were very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious, his in-laws run the inn. This was the best wedding I've ever been to and I'm not saying that just because it was my daughter, everyone is still calling and writing about how beautiful the place was, how good the food was (we used Carriage House, recommended) and how delightful the entire evening was.

I can't say enough about Stone Manor and Brian and Loree. I literally cannot imagine my wedding taking place anywhere else. The property and mansion is just gorgeous. My guests are still talking about how lovely it was. I had originally planned an outdoor wedding but the morning of the wedding it rained and rained and was freezing cold. Brian was so wonderful and flexible and let me change things around so that I could have the day that I wanted. Now I am SO glad it rained and we had it in the tent, it was absolutely gorgeous. The day of, I didn't worry about anything. Guests are still calling and saying how amazing the wedding was. The food was superb, really amazing. You get amazing quality and service for your money. It was money well spent. Brian is responsive and so helpful. He puts any bride at ease and was so wonderful to work with. I just love Stone Manor!

Stone Manor saved my rainy wedding day! It was the most beautiful day possible until exactly a half hour before our outdoor ceremony when a monsoon began. Brian had already taken the initiative to set up both the outdoor ceremony setting and the backup location within the reception tent. Seamlessly to me, all guests were ushered in with umbrellas and the whole bridal party was brought around from the manor to the covered entryway of the tent. From that point I never again even thought about the fact that it was raining because everything was still set up so well. The grounds of the house are absolutely beautiful so it was a shame to loose out on all those picture opportunities and miss the chance to have the guests enjoy cocktail hour on the back terrace/patio, but everyone complemented the site setup and had a really wonderful time despite the weather. We chose to use several of Stone Manor's recommended vendors, which worked very well since they are so used to collaborating with each other's staffs. I didn't have to worry about anything that was going on the entire wedding day and had plenty of confidence that it would all turn out beautifully, which it did. We plan to be back, hopefully to experience a fully sunny day at the Inn for our anniversary next year. Thanks Brian and Loree.

Brian is wonderful to work with at Stone Manor. My daughter was married there in an outside ceremony in April and the reception was under the tent. The tent is beautiful! You have to see it. The Stone Manor was our first and only wedding venue we visited. It has such beauty, charm, and character. We fell in love with it! The Stone Manor staff was extremely helpful and assisted you to make your day flow as you want it. Brian and Loree were very helpful and easy to work with every step of the way.

It was a bit pricey, but I knew this was the place I wanted to get married in to cherish those memories for a lifetime, so we saved our money and went for it. We married in November, so that helped with a reduced rate and we decided to have our engagement photos taken in the spring time so we were able to take advantage of the spring time blooms and grounds. What beautiful photos for engagement and our wedding!! Don't under-estimate the power of indoor weddings! :)

We highly recommend The Stone Manor if you searching for a wedding venue, event, or a bed and breakfast. We spent the night there on our wedding day and it completed our wedding! All of our family and guests loved the Manor and asked us how we knew of the place.

Beautiful location! Brian and Lorre helped our special day run smoothly!

As soon as Lee and I walked in the door at Stone Manor, We knew this was the place that we wanted to start our lives with. We met with Brian and we instantly felt comfortable and felt like we have known him forever. We went to a couple of venues before but we never felt the connection that we did with Brian and with Stone Manor.

Brian and Loree were so helpful throughout the 9 months before our wedding. We wrote to them constantly and always wanted to show more and more family members the beautiful venue and they always welcomed us with open arms.

The day of the wedding finally came. It was a Fairy Tale. It had snowed the day before but you could not tell from the pictures that we have. Brian and Loree and Vern and Astra (The Innkeepers) were nothing but helpful and made our day the most perfect day of our whole lives!

After the ceremony, Everyone could not stop talking about how beautiful the venue was and how it was the perfect place to get married. Brian was there every step of the way and checked on us occasionally throughout the whole day. Brian even loved our signature drink which he and the Carriage House staff named, The Tiffany. :-)

Words cannot begin to describe the love Lee and I have for Stone Manor. We are planning on visiting every year on our anniversary. We love the place and we love the people.

The grounds of Stone Manor were absolutely beautiful and the Manor itself was amazing. However, when we looked at the venue in the winter, the tent was not up. So my husband and I made the decision to go with the venue based on the grounds and manor assuming the tent would be the same caliber. I have to be honest that I was not a huge fan of the tent. So my only suggestion for couples is that if at all possible, see the tent before making your decision. This is not meant to deter anyone from visiting or selecting Stone Manor. Again, the grounds and manor are absolutely gorgeous. Many or even most couples might find the tent charming or just what they had hoped for. Our overall experience with the venue was great and we highly recommend them. As for the service, Brian was top notch. He was responsive, professional, and extremely well-organized.

Brian and Lori at Stone Manor are just wonderful! I cannot say enough great things about this venue, it is absolutely stunning and the best value for your money, The only reason I have it 4 out of 5 starts for the value is that it is a little pricey however it is worth every penny that we had to save for. There are so many things there that brian takes care of..for you, from, making sure the vendors you hire do there part and helping keep the flow of the wedding on time that day. They also are very helpful and answer all emails very fast, they are flexible with any vision you have and will help your day be absolutely perfect.

Stone manor is perfect for an outdoor wedding and the tent is great for the reception. The grounds are immaculate and brian really knows what he is doing. I have been to many wedding where they are nightmares and my wedding was just perfect with Brian and Lori at Stone Manor. I had aweful lighting issues with another vendor there and Brian did the best he could helping me with that matter as well.

I will say that there is no other place anyone should get married except stone manor. They are also easy to get along with and very sincere. These days finding good people and those who care is not easy especially in the wedding business. Stone Manor is a 5 star in my book, and we will be back every year to visit. My wedding was 10/22/2011.

Stone Manor is beautiful and Brian and Loree are amazing! They are there for you every step to answer questions and provide feedback whenever you need it. Brian has this down to an art and everything ran so smoothly. If there were any problems at all during the set-up, the ceremony, or the reception, I was not made aware of them. We loved everything!

From our first snow covered visit to our perfect weathered, wedding day 2 years later; Brian Childs and company were above and beyond first class! Their down to earth nature and approach not only relaxed us, but made us feel completely comfortable about the wedding planning process. Literally only a phone call / email away. Brian's personal approach made my entire family and friends feel invited to Stone Manor; yet his professionalism was even more outstanding. No one can deny the beauty of Stone Manor.
I saw it in the fall when the tent wasn't up and decided then to have my wedding reception there.
I visited again in August and was wonderfully surprised at the summer beauty of the venue.
The manor home is beautiful and the bridal suite roomy and comfortable.
The grounds make for awesome pictures and the drive up is just gorgeous!
We decided to line one of the walkways to the tent with lanterns and add a few make shift "up lights" that my husband made. Brian and Loree were flexible with clean up of these things especially because we had a Sunday event.
The tent is beautiful. My wedding party was abnormally small as compared to my invite list but the party (a little over 100) still did not feel swallowed by the tent.
The only thing to remember is that pictures taken up against the tent will not be satisfying to the eye as it reflects flash, so better to take pictures inward towards the party :)

The bottom line is I got lots of compliments on the venue from my guests. It was one of the few things that went absolutely right on my wedding day. Just don't make the mistake of having a wedding too late in the day. I lost daylight too quickly because of overcast and higher elevation so I didn't get to take advantage of all the beautiful scenary that can be found at Stone Manor.

Oh, fyi: there is a small vinyard behind the tent which would look great for pictures. Just make sure you get to it before the season is over and the grapes are picked. I was too late for it. My wedding was September 18.

Everything about Stone Manor was perfect! Brian and Loree were wonderful to work with. They are extremely organized and personable. They made sure that everything moved smoothly on our wedding day. I cannot say enough about the grounds of Stone Manor and the Manor house its self – everything is absolutely beautiful. They do an exceptional job of keeping up with everything! We stayed at the Manor house the night of our wedding and it was so relaxing. We sat out on the patio area after our reception and relaxed. The breakfast the next morning was wondering as well! Brian also provides a preferred vendor list which is extremely helpful. If you have any questions or concerns throughout your wedding process Brian and Loree are very quick to help! Brian Childs, Director at the Stone Manor, was extremely helpful and wonderful throughout the whole process. The location was lovely, price good for the area, they were very flexible about vendors (although we used their preferred caterer and were very happy with them as well - see Carriage House Catering), they were very clear about the expectations up front, and coordinated everything very well the day of. I'm very happy that we choose the Stone Manor and would recommend it to anyone looking for a country wedding with a gorgeous stone house.

Stone Manor was a beautiful venue for our wedding, and Brian and Loree were both great to work with -- responsive and accommodating. They are very flexible and let you do just about anything you want (within reason!) to personalize the venue. Their list of preferred vendors was also helpful and we no issues with any of the ones we used.

We cannot thank Brian Childs, Director of Stone Manor Country Club, enough for creating a wedding for us that far exceeded our expectations. I could not have dreamt a more beautiful wedding. Brian worked with all of our vendors to ensure our wedding was perfectly executed. The outdoor ceremony was so beautiful we can't help but rave about it any time it comes up.

Eventhough Brian is (and I quote) "NOT a wedding planner," I really felt as though I had one. We were totally impressed with his confidence, adaptablilty and professionalism! Brian's preferred vendor list was excellent; my DJ, Photographer, Officiant, and Wedding Cake were direct hits! Keep on referring them!

STONE MANOR: EXCELLENT service provided for our daughter's wedding. Not only did we have the perfect venue, we had the perfect evening...slight breeze, no bugs, beautiful sunset and a full moon. The reception area was beautiful. I don't know every little job Stone Manor provided but I do know Brian (the Director) helped calm my nerves. We appreciated the suggestion regarding the 10 minute hold to give a few more people a chance to arrive due to an accident on 340, got us ready for the processional, and handled other details which made it so much easier for me to relax prior to the wedding as well as during the wedding and reception. Your preferred vendors list was a huge help especially for us since were we not from the Frederick area. A little about the vendors. The Carriage House. Jeannie and her entire staff were fantastic and the food was excellent. They too handled so many of the little details (laying the overlays, putting out the favors, lighting the candles, and stuff I'm not even aware of). The bartenders were very attentive. After the event, everything was moved to the big table in the back for us to load up. Nicole (from Shew-sical Entertainment) was wonderful as well. She provided excellent DJ service. I know it took Nicole and the bride's family to come up with the order of events, but it was Nicole that put it all together and kept everything flowing. As my sister-in-law stated, "no awkward waiting"! Matt's (To the 9's) flower creations were amazing and he was such a pleasure to work with. We can't forget Daisy's Salon. Very in tune to the look that the bride wanted for her big day. And by the way, thumbs up from the bride and groom on the breakfast the next morning; they said it was delicious! Stone Manor venue was a beautiful site which made for a memorable wedding not only for us but for all our guests as well. You truly went above and beyond...you were professional, responsible, flexible, caring and attentive. We felt as if we were your only client! It was truly a pleasure working with Brian. Again, from the bottom of my heart, thanks for making my daughter's wedding an unforgettable event!

Stone Manor Country Club was the PERFECT choice for our daughter's wedding! The venue is gorgeous, but it truly pales in comparison to the helpfulness, support, and great ideas from Brian Childs and his staff! From the time we first visited through the end of the evening of her wedding, they made my daughter feel as though she was the most special bride ever, and gave me, the mother of the bride, such piece of mind!

Brian also has a preferred vendor's list that he shares, and this was an amazing resource for us in finding the top quality vendors from DJs to flowers, to invitations and beyond! His recommendations were not just time savers but proved invaluable!

At the end of the evening, I had a private moment with my daughter and asked her, 'So how was your wedding'...and a beautiful smile crossed her face as she replied, 'Amazing! It was perfect!'. If you are looking for a dream venue, here it is! Gorgeous manor with immaculate grounds! The ceremony site and tent were perfect! Brian and Lori are amazing! Not only do they provide you with unparalleled customer service, but they also create an environment of calmness for the bride! They handled everything the day of and made it easy to enjoy my wedding. They truly went above and beyond anything I could have asked for.

My daughter had the most beautiful wedding at Stone Manor. The weather was perfect and the garden was breathtaking. Brian Childs, Director, was there every step of the way, when we needed anything all we needed was to ask! If you want the best caterer than you need to look no further than the Carriage House. If the Manor was not perfect enough for the wedding I recommend staying overnight for an absolute memorable experience. Waking up on the Manor grounds and then having Vern and Astra, innkeepers, delicious breakfast and warmth!

Stone Manor was the perfect place for our wedding. It was the greatest day of my life. Brian and Lori are fabulous, very friendly and very organized. The manor and grounds are beautiful. Just got married on May 28th at Stone Manor and it was beautiful! Everything was perfect, including the weather! We could not have been more happy with Brian & Loree. They were there with any questions we had and were so helpful when it came to getting the bridal party out for the ceremony. Stone Manor is out in the country where it is so peaceful and you know that its just you two and your family & guests. The tent was perfect and the grounds were so nice. My husband and I got married at Stone Manor in May of 2011. We still get compliments on how beautiful the location was. You don't need to spend too much money bringing in extra flowers and decor because it's already done.

Brian and Lori are fantastic and extremely professional. They are on top of every detail and will make you feel so comfortable from the day you come visist the venue to last minute of your reception. They work very well with any vendor you bring in and have suggestions for everything.

We had a freak 15 minute storm pass through during our reception, and Brian made sure to speak to my husband to assure him that the generators were on and that everything would be fine. Normally, this sort of thing would devastate me, but the power went of for a mere THREE seconds before the lights and music came back on.

Our friends that came to our wedding loved the venue so much that they are getting married here this weekend, and we're very excited to be going back. I highly recommend this venue.

We had our wedding at Stone Manor and it was absolutely beautiful! Brian and Loree are responsive, professional, and caring! The innkeepers, Vern & Astra, were also very sweet to us during our stay at Stone Manor. Stone Manor offers the ability to use a variety of vendors that cater to your specific needs as opposed to other venues that require you to use all of their vendors. The grounds at Stone Manor are extremely well kept and beautiful! There are many wonderful places to take photos and the reception site is beautiful as well! I would defintely pick Stone Manor again as my venue and would highly recommend it to other brides!

Stone Manor was the perfect place for us to have our wedding and reception. Everything was run smoothly and the location is gorgeous. My family stayed there for the weekend and we loved the rooms and the most amazing breakfasts each morning!

Exquisite setting - my guests are still commenting on the location. Brian was amazing - when our baker flaked he stepped in and just took care of it. The end result was actually nicer than what we were planning, and for less than what we would have spent otherwise. Lori is a complete sweetheart. Bride and groom suites were spacious and good for prepping. Cannot recommend this location, Brian and Lori enough.

Stone Manor is a beautiful venue. I had my wedding ceremony at sunset with the cocktail hour on the patio. The reception was in the tent (which does not feel like a tent at all). The inn and ground are well maintained. They have really thought of everything to insure the event runs smoothly. The best part is that they only host one event per day and you can access most of the property for pictures.

We absolutely loved Stone Manor County Club. Brian was a delight to work with and was very helpful along the entire process. We used vendors recommended by Brian and would not change any of our choices. Brian really knows what he is talking about and makes sure your wedding is everything you dreamed of and more. We had a wedding planner and he worked well with her and gave her lots of helpful tips! Stone Manor is breathe-taking and beautiful. We have so many wonderful pictures around the Manor. We were able to get married outside with the sunset and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. The tent is amazing, you walk in and have no idea you are in a tent. We had a blast and would do it all over again! We were so happy to have found a place that was able to hold the amount of people we had and work with us on an outside ceremony, inside reception.

My husband and I are so happy we chose Stone Manor as our venue. Our wedding was perfect, exactly what we wanted, and mostly because of the venue. Many of our guests commented on how beautiful, elegant, classy, picturesque, and stunning the location was for our event. If you live in the DC area and want a country-esque, outdoor ceremony/reception, look no further. As you drive up to the manor, you have a sense of arrival. The grounds and manor are your first impressions and they are lasting. The land is well-manicured and impressive. The manor can host small to large weddings. We had about 50 people and it was perfect!!! The tent is included in the venue's price and can hold a few hundred people. I was worried my small party would get lost in the tent, but the way the venue owners, Brian and Loree, have decorated it with the lighting really makes the tent feel cozy. Stone Manor offers many ceremony locations. Brian has every single one of them planned out and explains the best way for the bride to approach each and the best seating arrangement. There is not one bad location. Cocktail hour is behind the manor. It's a great spot because your guests are admiring all of their surroundings. Don't worry about inclement weather plans. Stone Manor offers a great plan B. In fact, I wasn't worried about rain on my wedding day because I thought the inclement weather plan sounded just as great. The bridal suite is a great room to get ready in. It's spacious and relaxing. The groom's room is far enough away that you two will not see one another. All of the guest rooms are beautifully decorated and your guests will love staying overnight.

Brian and Loree, the owners, are friendly and will take care of you every step of the way. They go above and beyond their duties. They patiently explain every thing to you, offer lots of great advice and ideas, and reply to your emails and phone calls in a very timely manner. They are also extremely flexible. I had zero stress working with them. They are honest business owners and do not have any hidden costs. On the day of, they are there for you and strive to alleviate some of the stress. Brian had mimosas ready for me when family started stressing me out. Believe me, this was a great touch!!! These people know what they are doing and how to take care of the bride. They also handle every logistical step of the ceremony. They will cue everyone from your ring bearer, to your musicians, to the bride. You do not have to worry about this part at all. Afterward, they are out of the way and you will not see them.

Stone Manor uses Carriage House Inn as its exclusive caterer. The food is presented in a creative and tasteful manner. They serve great quality food and its delicious. All of my guests said they were impressed with the presentation and they couldn't believe how great it tasted. They said it did not taste like wedding food at all. My husband and I didn't know what to expect when we went for our tasting, but were extremely impressed and even more so the day of the wedding. The catering staff is professional and helpful.

The B&B caretakers are very polite and inviting. I felt right at ease with them and they accommodated everyone's needs. The breakfast the next day was superb!

My husband and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this venue, or about the owners. This was the perfect place for our wedding and as I look through our pictures, I'm constantly reminded of its beauty and how Stone Manor made our day a memorable one. Thanks Stone Manor!!!

This was my dream reception venue. Absolutely beautiful location and wonderful owners. Lori and Brian were great to work with and answered any needs that we had. The only down side was the cost which was a little steep.

Stone Manor was the first and only venue we looked at for our wedding reception. After touring the property and meeting Brian (the owner), I knew the search for the perfect venue was over, not only were the manor house, grounds and tent gorgeous, but I knew Brian and the staff at Stone Manor were going to help make our wedding amazing. Brian and Loree were kind, friendly and very easy to wrok with. They were readily available to answer any questions I had throughout the planning process and continuously provided the utmost service to make our wedding day go smoothly.

Our fall wedding turned out to be a little warmer than originally anticipated, but Stone Manor took charge the night before the wedding and made sure we had fans for the reception tent to keep guests cool. The small staff at Stone Manor as well as the catering staff of Carriage House were very professional and accomodating, they made sure the event ran smoothly while fulfilling their duties and responsibilities to the highest degree. The value of having our reception at Stone Manor was well worth the cost and I could not have imagined a better more perfect venue for our wedding. My bridesmaids and I spent the day of the wedding hangingout and getting ready in the bridal suite at Stone Manor, the bridal suite was gorgeous and it accomodated all of us nicely and comfortably.

The flexibility of Stone Manor was only a small part of the reason we chose to have our reception there. Stone Manor allows for the hosts to purchase and provide their own alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for their event (you do have to use bartenders from your caterer). We were able to save a lot of money by purchasing sodas, beer and wine, etc from Costco and Ye Ol' Spirits. Not many vendors allow this flexibility for the specific fact of wanting to nickle and dime you. That point only further showed the integrity and honesty of Stone Manor and their commitment to their clients.

My new husband and I as well as all of our guests had an amazing time at our wedding...our only disappointment is that the day went by too fast. Thanks to Brian, Loree and Stone Manor for helping make our dream day come true. We can't wait to visit for our one year anniversary!

OUTSTANDING! AMAZING! BEAUTIFUL! My husband and I were married at Stone Manor Country Club on September 11, 2010 and It was absolutely wonderful. If you have always dreamed of having an outdoor wedding and reception I highly recommend checking out Stone Manor. When you turn into the drive way to the location you will be Amazed! This place has everything; A beautiful, Stone Bed and Breakfast, Old Barns, pond with water feature, several locations for a ceremony, and a well equiped tent for the reception, perfectly manicured landscape. There is even a vineyard and so many wonderful veiws of the Catoctin Mountians from every location on the property. So many great backdrops for Beautiful Pictures. It would be hard not to get a perfect shot everytime. This place is full of beauty.

In addition to having being a fabulous location. Brian and Loree Childs are the most down to earth, happiest, genuine, wholesome, accomodating, caring (and the list goes on) Wedding Directors you will ever meet. With Brian and Loree I felt so at ease from the planning stages of the wedding, during the wedding and reception, and even after the wedding was over. They really care about you and your special day and it shows :)Its like they are your family by the time its all over.

We stayed at the Manor House the night of the wedding. The innkeepers are so sweet and also very accomodating :) There are so many good things to stay about Stone Manor. All I can say to sum up is that My husband and I will be visting Stone Manor again and again to see the beauty, to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, and to relive that wonderful day at Stone Manor over again!

The Stone Manor Country Club is one of the most beautiful venues my husband and I have ever seen. It has so much charm and is such a romantic place for a reception. We truly enjoyed working with Brian and Loree Childs to coordinate our big day. They were extremely helpful and very kind. Venue was perfect for everything. We got ready there, had pictures, had the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception in the tent. It was perfect. Brian and Loree couldn't have been more accomodating and helpful. It was a perfect wedding, we wouldn't change a thing!

This absolutely beautiful venue is a great place for an outdoor wedding. Brian Childs, owner, pays specific attention to detail making sure your day is one to remember. He has a perferred vendor list which I found to be both comforting and helpful as I had never planned a wedding before. He is personable, available for all your questions and concerns, and is calm under any situation that may arise as he always has a plan B. I could go on and on, if you are looking for that special place for your wedding this is it.

I started planning my wedding around June of last year (2009) and almost immediately found Stone Manor...I loved it from the very first moment I saw it! Not only was it beautiful and elegant, but it was comfortable and homey. Upon meeting Brian, he took us on a tour and showed us pictures of past weddings...it was everything I wanted and I booked the location almost immediately! Both Brian and Loree were very professional and fun, keeping in touch with me when I had questions and making sure that they always made time for me when I wanted to bring people out to see the grounds. Although it ended up raining on our actual wedding day, they took over and had everything running smoothly so that we could have the ceremony inside the tent. My family and friends had a wonderful time and I couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate my big day! I would highly recommend Stone Manor, Brian and Loree to anyone wanting the perfect place to get married...it was amazing!

Stone Manor Country Club is a great place to have a wedding of any size, it accommodates large and small weddings. My wedding was only 50 people and we were able to have our reception in the Manor. The area is just beautiful and all my guests felt relaxed and loved to walk around afterwards.

Stone Manor was the best! Everything was so gorgeous and we got so many compliments on the choice of the venue. The satff was amazing and really had everything put together beautifully! Brian was great at coordinating everything and the ceremony and reception was just so beautiful and fun!

We had our ceremony and reception at Stone Manor and could not have asked for a more perfect day all around. There was a chance of rain the afternoon of the wedding so the staff was ready to go with either an indoor and outdoor setup until the last possible minute. No rain came so we had our perfect outdoor ceremony, but I would have been fine with the alternate in-tent setting because the tent is so spacious and pretty in itself. We had a cocktail hour on the patio and our guests enjoyed mingling out there before the reception began.
Before the wedding Brian and Loree took time to answer all my questions (which seemed endless from my POV) and everything went off without a hitch. Our rehearsal the afternoon before the wedding went smoothly and even though our original officiant got sick the morning of the wedding and we had a last minute stand-in no one knew the difference.
Our photographer also enjoyed all the different backdrops for pictures that the venue provides - we got some truly gorgeous outside pictures that portray the quaint country feel that we were looking for.
Brian checked in with us as the reception was winding down and the guests were leaving to make sure we were happy with everything. Also, the bridal suite we stayed in for the night was also cozy and breakfast the next morning was delicious!!! We took the complimentary bottle of champagne with us on our honeymoon.
Brian and Loree did everything they could to make our day memorable and we hope to go back to Stone Manor sometime soon.

Stone Manor Country Club is a BEAUTIFUL venue, especially for a spring/summer wedding. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and there is a permanent tent set up for the spring/summer months that holds up to 300 people. My only comment is if it's a hot summer day like ours was [Aug '09, 98 degrees out], you'll want to rent more than the recommended 5 fans. Brian and the fan company will tell you that it's enough but it's not!! Everyone was dripping with sweat b/c the tent got really hot...if we could have, we would've moved everything outside of the tent b/c outside it didn't feel as muggy and there was a light breeze. While we were all sweating like crazy we had an amazing time drinking and dancing [our dj was fabulous] so we didn't let the heat get to us.

Aside from the heat, which was out of our control, we absolutely loved the venue for its beautiful grounds and natural setting...it provides a perfect backdrop for gorgeous wedding photos.

We had our wedding at Stone Manor on July 25, 2009 and it was fantastic. The location was gorgeous and all our guests loved it. During the planning, it sometimes took Brian a few days to respond to emails, which I understood was because he was devoting time to weddings going on at that moment. When our wedding arrived, he and Loree were absolutely fantastic. I did not have a wedding planner and was a little worried, but Brian and Loree were on top of everything. I was prepared with a list of contacts and phone numbers and backup plans, but if anything went wrong, I didn't even know about it. They ran our rehearsal and helped everyone understand what to do and they were there all day in the background, making sure things were running smoothly on the wedding day. Our security deposit was mailed back to us within two weeks of the wedding without us having to ask about it. I'd highly recommend a wedding at Stone Manor.

The recommended caterer, Carriage House, also turned out very well. They're quite inexpensive (which is why we decided we could afford the higher site fee) and the food was great. Everything was set up as we requested, on time.

It may seem like a steep price tag, but Stone Manor was worth every penny. Brian, the owner, is absolutly wonderful. The venue was like a dream cone true. Every single guest commented on how beautiful it was.

We had our ceremony and reception at Stone Manor and both were beautiful. The grounds are gorgeous and give tons of options for ceremony location and photographs. The owners were helpful and friendly and went out of their way to meet with me. The price was affordable, and even more so on a Sunday. Stone Manor was exactly what I was looking for with a price that made it even more perfect.

On top of being a gorgeous location, the owners are wonderful to work with! We just had our reception at the Manor but I never had to worry about anything. They allowed me to come in and decorate the night before and the place was spotless! The staff were extremely professional and helpful if my guests needed anything. Their flexibility was amazing, we came to visit the Manor about 6 different times and each time they were welcoming! We would highly recommend for anyone that is looking for a classy, elegant facility for their wedding.

We had just our reception there but everything went smoothly thanks to all of Brian's coordinating. We recently went back for our 1st anniversary to stay at the B&B and would recommend that as well :)

This place is ABSOLUTELY beautiful! Brian Childs is SO incredibly easy to work with and always makes you feel special. They are a GREAT value for the money, but hurry they book up FAST!! They are really busy, which leads to a lack in responsiveness sometimes, but never for very long. I HIGHLY recommend it if you're looking for an outdoor or just old fashioned, european country manor type look.

Stone Manor WAS a little known country Bed & Breakfast that is a rehabbed old country manor sitting on acres of beautiful land in Middletown, MD right outside of Frederick. It's a bit out there but SO worth the drive. Their pricing is reasonable and we were a bit nervous at first because of their Exclusive Caterer, but Carriage House Inn is SO incredible and the manager of Stone Manor, Brian Childs, insists that when the Carriage House comes to Stone Manor they step up their quality of food. It was excellent to begin with so I can't wait! Brian and his wife Loree are VERY nice and easy to work with. They're willing to work with you and suggest vendors they've worked with before and know are reliable for all your other services, and they're local so you don't have to worry as much if something goes awry, because they're close by to fix a problem. There are tons of locations on site for the ceremony and a huge tent for the reception up to 350 people as well. It's also the perfect setting to include a horse and carriage for your entrance ;)

From the moment we finished our first tour of Stone Manor a year prior to our wedding, Brian and Lorie Child's made us feel so welcome and we left wanting to close the deal right then. Once we booked at Stone Manor Brian and Lorie kept great contact with us and answered all our questions down to the silliest little one. Come the day of our wedding we could not have asked for an more organized day. They had everything under control and neither myself or my husband had to worry about anything. Our guests enjoyed themseleves completely and left raving about the location and day and how wonderful it all was. Stone Manor provided everything we wanted for our wedding day; an amazing, picture perfect location, plenty of space for a large wedding and a great place to have both an elegant and fun wedding at the smae time.

However, the most wonderful thing I believe that came from having our wedding at Stone Manor and working with Brian and Lorie was that we found a wonderful place that we will go back to for years to come and we know that we will always be welcome there. Stone Manor will always hold a special place in our hearts.

With the backdrop of this beautiful country estate, we created our own very unique, special day. We used one of several outside spaces for our ceremony, had cocktail hour on the patio and in the manor, and then finished off the night with a reception in their enormous tent. The proprietors were supportive of all of our decisions from day one, and let us come by the manor anytime we needed to. Lovely rooms and suites are available to dress in on the day of the wedding, as well as to stay in over the weekend, which you don't have to do if you don't want. The flexibility at this venue, plus the size of the tent were the main reasons why we chose Stone Manor over many of the other choices in the area. They also only do one wedding a day, and they are in a quiet part of the state, so you can have a peaceful, special wedding day.

Brian and Lori were wonderful to work with and bring real professionalism and class to an already amazing venue. I can't speak highly enough of them. The property itself is gorgeous and made for great pictures. The tent is one of a kind - large with a carpeted floor for an indoor/outdoor feel. Overall we're very happy with the whole experience and thank Brian and Lori for making it all possible.

This is a beautiful reception site, and they can easily accomodate 250-300 people. They require you to use the Carriage House caterer, and we were happy with what they had to offer.

My wedding at Stone Manor was beautiful - the venue is a gorgeous manor house out in the countryside. The ceremony was outdoors behind the house, and the reception was in a large enclosed tent. Everything was meticulously arranged and set up to perfection. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for an outdoor springtime wedding.

There are a number of locations on the property for your ceremony that will be a photographer's dream. The tent allows brides to personalize the reception space with their own personal style and the dark wood chiavari chairs are yet another plus. Brian Childs is a professional who takes care of his clients. Every bride should have someone with his knowledge and experience as their point person for their venue.

I had the pleasure of providing makeup services at Stone Manor Country Club recently and I must say as I drove up to the venue, I had the feeling I was suddenly in Europe, the property was breathtaking and When I walked inside of the Manor I was blown away by the beautiful decor! Honestly if I could have another wedding ceremony it would be there!!!!! The directors Brian and Loree were so warm and friendly and accomodating and they run a tight ship! everything was flawless and things flowed on time,,,I even noticed that Brian was going the extra mile to help the bride and groom with some last minute details, and he did it will a smile on his face... Lorre treated me so good..I felt as if I knew her forever! So You can imagine what you can expect when you have your wedding at Stone Manor! There was also an outdoor tent for the reception as you would see at a celebrity wedding and it was spacious...The guests were having a wonderful time !!!!!
