Jessica is just plain AWESOME! When a professional photographer who's work you love recommends someone who they would want to shoot their special life event, you should definitely listen. From the very first meeting with Jessica, we knew that she was the perfect fit and choice to capture our wedding. She's very laid back and she makes you feel comfortable, wanting you to just be yourself. She's super creative (just take a look at samples of her work; not to mention she's won numerous awards) and she has great vision and ideas. The best part is, she doesn't shove her own ideas down your throat. She'll make her suggestions and recommendations, but she genuinely wants to know what you want and she listens! We definitely wanted her to have free reign on how she wanted to shoot; we trusted her judgment. Jessica's great to work with. She really made us feel comfortable when we had our engagement sessions, which resulted in even better photos because we could just be ourselves. She provides you with helpful tips to help you prepare for your engagement session and the wedding day. Jessica's prices are probably not the cheapest out there, but she's definitely worth every dollar spent. For what you get in the package(s) together with the kind of service she provides from beginning to end, she's a bargain. One of the things that my wife and I decided upon when we started planning our wedding is to spend more of our money on photography and videography. We wanted to have photos that will paint the picture of what happened that special day, from the vantage point of our photographers, our guests, friends, and family members. We wanted our photos to bring us back to that whirlwind of a day (because it does go by so quickly) and that's what Jessica did for us. Jessica provides top notch service with personal touch from beginning to end. I would recommend Jessica to anyone and everyone every day of the week, and twice on Sundays.

One of the best parts of my wedding experience was working with Jessica. I had heard horror stories from other brides about their pictures and was so glad that she was the opposite. She worked with my budget and on my time frame. I looked great in every shot at my wedding!!(even the candid ones!!) She is Fantastic and so artistic. My pictures where not just typical but amazing. My family still goes on and on about how great the pictures are. Hopefully one day Jess will be taking pictures of my pregnancy, of the birth of my children, and years of family pics!!! I cant thank her enough for making my forever moments look so spectacular.

Simply The Best! Jessica is the best person for the job- I guarantee it! I fell in love with her work after two of my friends used her for their photos. My fiancé was comfortable with whomever I wanted but was nervous about the engagement shoot. The day came and Anthony was sweating! We met her for the first time at the e shoot and fell in love with her within five minutes! She was able to put us at ease and make us feel so comfortable even while lying in the dirt in a white dress! Anthony adored her and instantly relaxed! The engagement photos were the best photos we’ve ever taken! Jessica knows how to really position people to get great photos that are stunning but look natural!
Jessica is super professional!! Every meeting/ email was about what I wanted/needed, my expectations and dreams. She explained what she would need from me and always discussed what I liked and didn’t and instantly made adjustments! The days leading up to my wedding she kept in touch and assured me everything would be perfect! She was so thoughtful and caring. It meant so much to me for her to treat me like a friend and not a customer! I actually cried!
Day of the wedding she arrived and was instantly loved by my family. She won everyone over! When problems arose at our venue Jessica instantly handled the situations! The entire day went so well and the photos were so fun! We love working with her! We have not yet received our photos as the wedding was last week, but we know they will be perfect!
The photos are also undervalued! I would have paid double for the engagement shoot! There are so many we just love! ! We received copies of photos within two weeks! I had multiple ways to contact her and never felt like I was alone or unable to reach her! I wholeheartedly recommend her!

Jessica's pictures are above and beyond, definitely worth it! She is so fun to work with and incorporates your feedback. She is also quick to produce pictures, we got ours 3 weeks after the wedding.

Wow! Where do I begin to even describe the incredibly awesome work that Jessica does? I guess I don't really have to because the proof is in her pictures! I found Jess through her photographing my friend's wedding and knew that when it was my turn I had to have her! In fact, our wedding date revolved around her availability! From our engagement photos to our wedding photos and finally our wedding album, I have some of the most beautiful pictures to document the best year of my life. As people look through our wedding album, they "ooh and ahh" at all the wonderful pictures, but the one resounding comment that stands out to me is that "she captured all the perfect moments of the wedding." I don't think compliments get any better than that. Jess was not only my photographer but quickly became my friend and someone I will continue to have a relationship with. She is professional, kind, understanding and just all around amazing! I would recommend her hands-down to anyone.

Working with Jessica from Stout Photography was a dream!! Her work is exquisite! The shots from our wedding are more beautiful then I could of hoped for. She is extremely professional and reliable, I completely valued her opinions and expertise. She is also extremely kind and understanding, which is so very important for a bride. We met Jessica at a friend's wedding where she was the photographer, so we knew the level of service we would be getting at our wedding. When numerous friends and co-workers HIGHLY recommend a wedding photographer, you know you are working with someone special. Our office had a rash of engagements and many of my co-workers were looking for photographers. I started a search myself when I got engaged but I found myself looking for someone who took photos that were fresh and different. When I came across a co-worker's engagement photos, I immediately asked, "who took these photos?" I was so excited because the photos encapsulated exactly what I was looking for. When we made our first appointment with Jessica, I knew she was THE ONE. Photography is so important, and my fiance and I didn't want the status quo -- we wanted something awesome and fun. We were able to work with Jessica during our engagement shoot and wedding. During the engagement shoot, Jessica knew exactly where she wanted us to capture the best light. The entire afternoon went fluidly and we were able to get the best photos. We got so many compliments on our save the dates -- we had to choose the one card option that had the most photos because we couldn't choose our favorites! There were too many! When it came do our wedding day, Jessica really proved she was the most awesome photographer around. She maneuvered our entire wedding party around Crocker Art museum, looking for interesting shots with great light. She knew what was going to look good in the photos and made us all feel extremely comfortable. And she was not afraid to contort herself to get the best angles! Jessica literally will lie on the floor if she thinks it will help get the perfect photo -- she is THAT DEDICATED. It was so easy to work with her and we couldn't be happier with the wedding photos. The photos were just "us" and that is exactly what we wanted. Jessica really created magic with her camera that day. Thank you Jessica!

Jessica has a great style that is very "documentary/candid" She really wanted to make sure she got a sense of who were were and what we expected. She took photos of us getting ready and I felt totally at ease in some of my weirdest moments (getting my hair teased like the Bride of Frankenstein!). We opted to do the first look and she arranged a beautiful moment with the two of us, just being ourselves. It was amazing to feel so at ease even though we had two cameras shooting us.

She also had the posed family and bridal/groom photos and I was amazed at how easy she made it look. She has the ability to control large groups of people and get things done quickly. We had one groomsman who needed a little more "direction" and she was able to take care of that without making anyone feel awkward!

We just got our sneak peak photos and I was so amazed at how perfect everything was. Our getting ready photos, during the wedding, and couple photos were so perfect and exactly as we hoped. Jessica captured the golden "magic hour" so perfectly and I was so impressed with how much emotion came through the photos. I would use her again in a heartbeat and I only wish I had a reason to do another big photo session. Thanks Jessica for making everything so perfect on our wedding day!

If anyone is considering Jessica Stout Photography and does not pick her they will be disappointed. Our experience with Jessica was absolutely amazing and out pictures turned out beautiful. Jessica truly has a great talent and you can really tell she loves what she does. At the end of the day the cake, the food, and the flowers will all be gone and the only really tangible thing you will have from your wedding are the pictures. Jessica was wonderful. She is sweet and very creative. Everyone loves our pictures. She had a big challenge working in between a lot of videpgraphers and she still managed to come up with fabulous photos! We love her! you will too!

Without a doubt, Jessica is one of the most professional and talented photographers in the Sacramento region. We are extremely pleased with how well she worked with us before, during and after the wedding. Our photos were available for review pretty quickly which allowed our family and us to quickly pic and order the favorites. Initially, we were apprehensive about the cost for the selected wedding & engagement package, given that money is tight. But in the end, we really did get what we paid for. The product she offers was certainly worth what we paid.

Jessica was great from day 1! In our initial meeting, she was able to answer all our questions, show us her portfolio, and was already highly recommended to us. She kept constant communication with us through our whole planning stages. Our engagement photos turned out beautifully. On our wedding day, she was not only professional, but gracious to us, the wedding party, our families, other vendors, and our guests. She gives direction well to capture amazing pictures! She also has a great eye for sunsets, light and color. After our wedding, an appointment was promptly made for our album. The completed album was packaged and delivered in a very timely manner.

Jessica captured our wedding in Sacramento in August 2011. She was phenomenal to work with right from the beginning. She really treats you like a friend, rather than a customer. We hired Stout Photography for our engagement photos and wedding. Jessica was amazing to work with! Absolutely the best photos we've ever taken, and we get soo many compliments on them. She is extremely flexible. We lived out of state from where the wedding was and she would work with our limited schedules. I would definitely recommended her to any bride looking for a photographer. Our entire wedding was planned to be outside, and unfortunately, we had to deal with the unexpected rain....we were worried that because of the rain, we were going to miss out on getting great photography--NOT TRUE!! Stout photography was exceptional from the beginning. Truly some of the best photography we've ever seen...they always amaze me by how well they really capture the emotions and people. Jessica is such an AMAZING person and photographer! We don't live in the Sacramento area so we were going to pass on having an e-session. Jessica insisted that we have one so we get to know her before the wedding. So we asked if we could have it in the city my husband and I fell in love in ... Chicago. Jessica being the awesome person she is jumped at the opportunity. She captured the true essence of the love my husband and I have for each other in the city that we love so much. Everyone was in awe at how great our e-session photos turned out.
On our wedding day it rained. I was a little bummed we wouldn't have the bright sunny wedding photos that everyone always wishes for. Jessica did not disappoint! She found such stunning and out of the ordinary places to take photos without everyone getting soaked. Now that we look at our pictures we love that it rained. Only Jessica could turn rainy day wedding photos into a blessing. We just received our wedding album the other day and my heart melted at how much thought and effort she put into putting it together. She truly does get to know each couple and knows what they would like best. I've already showed our wedding album off to so many people ... I'm so excited about it, it's like a child to me :) ... and everyone that has seen it says that it's the most gorgeous wedding album they've every seen.

I ever so highly recommend Stout Photography to everyone and anyone in love. I have never seen photo's as authentic, raw and emotional as their's. We found Stout Photography about a year and a half ago, we had our Engagement session in September and our wedding in October and could not imagine our wedding without Jessica Moores. To know Jessica is to completely love her as a person, a photographer and an artist. Her photo's capture such emotion and beauty that every time you look at them you feel connected to her in a way that you feel like you have known her all your life. You will love her for not only the truly amazing photo's she captures but for being part of a connection you share with your partner that shines through in every picture that is taken, it can only be described as magical.

We feel this was the worst photographer ever!! Not happy with our photos, photo quality, photo creativity, or the overall album we received. We have never dealt with such little professionalism from someone like this photographer. Very disappointed with our overall experience and had our entire wedding photography experience ruined by this photographer. Not even all of our requests were done. We got one photo from a few important events from our night and when asked where the others were, it was said to us that they are no longer available. Have tons more horrible experiences to say regarding this photographer but this review could go on forever. We do NOT recommend this photographer or wish our experience upon anyone! I wish more of the couples we spoke with who had this photographer would come through and leave there experiences.

Jessica is an amazing photographer and a true artist. Our wedding pictures were stunning, and more than I could have ever hoped for. We have received so many compliments on our pictures from friends and family. Jessica is so personable and friendly and we had complete faith and trust in her skills, so I knew I had nothing to worry about on my wedding day. Words can't even describe what an amazing photographer Jessica is. She is an artist who did more than capture images of our special day... she told the story of our day with her images. Where do I start? Jessica from Stout Photography is absolutely amazing in so many ways. I fell in love with her work online before I had even met her and soon fell in love with her personality, spunk, charming demeanor, passion for photographing people, and life! We actually chose our wedding date based on Jessica's availability!

Jessica's professionalism and organization are the perfect match for brides who are knee deep in wedding planning. She not only is very accommodating, she has so many suggestions for locations for engagement pictures, what to wear, and how to have fun doing it! I love her directive style that still allows for the couple's freedom and personality. She tailored our engagement pics so they represented "us" and met with us beforehand and was genuinely interested in getting to know who we were as a couple, how we met, and what we loved about each other. Her interest in hearing our story and taking a true interest in each of us meant so much. She was so easy to work with, I often describe the experience to others as it was like hanging out with a good friend, who just happened to be photographing you!

For our wedding day, Jessica asked if she could come early to get some test shots and get a few more getting ready photos, which of course we were more than excited about! She was able to capture absolutely everything. Her work speaks for itself, but coming from a bride that can be quite perfectionistic, she truly did a fabulous job. She's super organized and quick, allowing family members and wedding party to go enjoy the reception. She even went to get my husband and I appetizers after the wedding while we were taking the rest of our pictures! Now that's amazing.

She and her husband work together as a flawless team. She came recommended by our venue and I absolutely know why. She even stayed much later than our contract stated, just so she could capture our final getaway exit and because she just didn't want to miss it.

We just received our wedding album (less than 2 months from our wedding day! so quick!) and it's just gorgeous. She and her husband designed the entire album by sorting through all the thousands of images and putting together what looked best. It was fabulous! It saved so much time and they did such a great job. The album came beautifully packaged with a heartfelt thank you note. Such a sweet touch!

When I think of our wedding, I cannot imagine it without Jessica. She was an amazing photographer, but above all she has become a genuine friend. It's so apparent to me how much she cares about all the couples she works with and how important it is to her to provide them with lasting images of their perfect day. She has an infectious spirit that is truly one of a kind and I would recommend her to anyone!

I wish I could hire Jessica to capture every moment of my life

Hello future brides! If I could title my wedding, and bottle up my experiences with my different vendors., I would call it "A Dream Come True". I am that girl that has been dreaming of my wedding since I was a little. In fact every Halloween, I asked to be a bride. To me, I wanted my wedding to be perfect... to be a fairytale. I knew the flowers I wanted, the kind of music I wanted to dance to, the type of dress I would wear, and that I wanted a great photographer to capture each moment... what I didn’t know was how to make all these dreams/ideas in my head a reality.
By a stroke of luck, or fate if you have it, we were referred by our DJ, to a wonderful woman named Jessica Moores, of Stout Photography. I spoke to Jessica over the phone, and it was the funniest thing; I felt like I was talking to a girlfriend I had known for years! She instantly made me feel comfortable.
A week later we were sitting in her living room having a consultation, and looking at her promo books.. I knew I had made the right choice. Every wedding photo I saw, looked like it belonged in a magazine! I was so excited. Doesn’t every girl want to look like a model? Jessica makes you feel like the model behind her camera. My husband (Yay, I can call him that now!) is not very comfortable in front of a camera, he isn’t even big on posing for pictures for holiday cards(what man does?!). BUT… Jessica has a way of comforting you, of posing you in the most natural way, and it just comes off as PERFECTION on print.
Our specific package included an engagement secession, a small album of that(super high quality), 8 hours of wedding day shooting with 2 photographers (Jessica’s husband Matt is the other photographer and is just as fabulous) and a incredible album of the wedding day. Matt even ended up making us a 3 minute video short of our day, which every time I see it, I am in tears!
Stout Photography is two people who take their craft so seriously. They have planning secessions with you to make sure that every specific shot you imagined is taken, they calm your fears and concerns, and they get you to think outside the box of traditional poses. They capture the most intimate moments and you don’t even know they are there. The colors, the quality, and the warm nature of Jessica… it IS everything a wedding photographer should be. Your wedding is the most important step two people can make, and Jessica and Matt of Stout Photography are the only people I would trust with such a big event.
My dear brides, if you are looking for a wedding photographer, who understands your needs, but also gives you some creative magic, LOOK NO FURTHER!! I would suggest (and do!) Stout Photography to everyone I know, and most importantly, my husband and I made 2 new friends for life. Jessica knows she is on stand-by for when we have kids too! Jessica was so wonderful at our wedding. I have only seen a few sneak peak pictures from our magical event on Saturday, and out of the few I have seen, they are ALL perfect. We had Jessica from Stout photograph our wedding for us earlier this year. She was incredible from the outset of our discussions with her. She creatively took us to a remote location for our engagement session, and we had no idea how the photos might turn out. They were absolutely amazing! As difficult as it is to look at one's self in photos, we couldn't stop staring. Our friends and families were also in love with them. On wedding day, her and her husband were there plenty early, were so easy and fun to work with, and she captured our day in a way I can't begin to describe. We shopped diligently for the right photographer, and Jessica has a style that captures weddings in a 'real' fashion. For those who couldn't attend, when we shared our photos with them, they felt like they were actually there! Jessica rocks!!

We have never imagined our experience with photographer Jessica would be such wonderful. She was really patient with us. Jessica was always available throughout the photo taking session, whenever we have doubts and questions about the photographing, she was there to help us. We got to be familiar with each other in no time. She was so passionate and professional about her job and she took care of every minor detail constantly changing positions to get better angle. When the photos finally came out, I was surprised by how exquisite and delicate they were. The color and calarity all exceeded our expecations.I would have no doubt recommending Jessica to any of our friends and relatives.

We were lucky enough to meet Jessica after our first photographer quit on us. I have to say that was a blessing. Jessica was absolutely fabulous to work with. She listened to what we wanted and was even happy to put up with my picky husband! Anytime I had a question (which there were MANY of) Jessica was happy to help and prompt in her response. She's also SUPER quick with getting you your photos. We had proofs within a week of the wedding! I will be recommending her to my friends and family for sure, and I'm hoping to be able to work with her again once we start our family!!

Jessica Moores is the exact kind of photographer that every bride would hope for. To begin with, the photographs she takes are extraordinary. I had never seen pictures with so much color and clarity until I found the blog to Stout Photography. The pictures are so fantastic, they cause you to take at least a second or third look upon seeing them! I cannot tell you how many people have told me that my engagement and wedding photos are some of the most beautiful pictures they have ever seen, which is a really big deal! For how much her packages cost, you get so much more than your money's worth. Jessica was amazing to work with! We had a great time working with her for our engagement photo shoot as well as the wedding day! She was very patient with our guests and family members who also wanted to get the photo shot too! Choosing Jessica as our wedding photographer was the smartest thing we could have done! We started off with engagement photos, and just after working with her, we were ready to hire her! Then we saw the photos and knew we needed her. Working with Jessica was so easy- she is very helpful (I ended up changing wedding locations, and chose the location Jessica recommended) and responded quickly to calls or email. I appreciated that she took time to recommend/advise me on other wedding aspects, which isn't something I would expect a photographer to do.

When our wedding day finally arrived, Jessica and Dave (her 2nd shooter that day) were ready to capture everything. Not one moment was missed by them, and we are so grateful to have a beautiful wedding album full of those memories. Jessica was very professional, and unlike other photographers I have seen at weddings, she blended into the background, yet captured everything. When we saw a sneak peek (I think 3 days later!) my husband, Mike, and I both cried (he'll say he got teary eyed). It was such a great day and it really was captured perfectly.

Jessica was my wedding photographer and she also shot our engagement photos. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone I know or don't know for that matter. She is friendly, personable and responsive not to mention an amazing photographer. She has an eye for capturing emotion and once in a lifetime moments.

My husband actually hates taking pictures and is very shy when being photographed. Jessica was able to bring him out of that so that we were able to get some amazing shots. My husband felt very comfortable with her and has also recommended her to a couple of his friends that are getting married.

I cannot say enough about Stout Photography. From the moment I saw Jessica's work, I had tears in my eyes and I wanted her to be my photographer. She is the most amazing person, and she is very good at what she does. She has a way of making you feel comfortable, and that allows her to capture very romantic and beautiful photos. My family loved her, and my bridesmaids adored her too! They were even asking about her for their future weddings! Most importantly, she is very flexible and very easy to work with. She always got back to us quickly in regards to our questions, and I always felt comfortable speaking to her about what I wanted. By the way, can I just add that she and her amazing assistant even drove my ringbear (my dog) to the wedding because we ran out of space!!!! What more could you ask for?

Seriously she has an absolute talent to pose the subjects and to also capture the candid moments. I have seen very few photographers who can do both! I was so incredibly blessed to have her at my wedding. I had a simple wedding but she made it look extravagant with the pictures she took. I could not have asked for a better engagement/wedding photographer.

Jessica and Matthew shot our wedding and they did a fabulous job. They were professional and created amazing photos. We had a lot of fun at the engagement session as well; Jessica even stayed out a little later than planned so we could get the perfect shot. We let her choose the photos for our album and it is beautiful. We also were thrilled to be able to get a coffee table book with our engagement photos that we used as our guest book: big hit with the guests AND we got our favorite e-session photos. I knew I wanted to work with Jessica as soon as I met her. She was down to earth and allowed her work to speak for itself. She is professional, patient, and easy going. We had a lot of fun taking the engagment photos. During the wedding she had a creative way of capturing the moment without taking away from the experience. We wanted a mixture of photojournalistic photos and posed photos and she did a great job with both. She also was great at directing the wedding party when needed. Pick Stout Photography!!! Jessica an Matt are amazing. I want to start with all the things they did to help me (they were the first vendor I booked). I loved Jessica's style and it was so important to me to book her but I didn't have enough money saved for the initial deposit - I told her and she made a payment agreement to work with me. I also wanted to do my engagement photography session in the Bay Area (which is an extra fee) and she called me everytime she was traveling to the Bay so we could meet up to aviod the extra fee. She also meet with me SIX times to go over details I was stressing over - each time she was so patient and offered me creative solutions to my problems (plus I liked getting a peak of her big Mastiff dog at her house :) Then when I was having an anxiety attack on my wedding day she calmed my nerves and kept fluffing my hair to release some nerves! She also had deal with the crazy church coordinator who was being difficult - Jess kept her cool and worked around everything and captured every shot in the ceremony we had discussed. She also was extremely patient with the album design after the wedding (it took me two months)! Overall I was extremely impressed and pleased with Stout Photography - they are true professionals.

Loved her- Jessica did an amazing job and was always willing to work with or around anything. I would most dfiitely recommend her and am mor ethan happy to speak with potential customers.

Jessica was great to work with. Easy to talk too, professional in meetings, humorous, and expereinced. We felt comfortable with her and we trusted her expertise. It rained on our wedding and the pictures turned out great. She used professional equipment and the main thing was she was passionate about what she does!!! The price was very reasonable, compared to a lot of other companies out there. She traveled to us, which was a plus. They take payment plans which made it easy for us. Jessica was great. We were running late and she did such a great job with such efficiency that she got us back on trac. She was focused on us and our needs and the photos turned out beautifully. Jessica was great. She never made me feel bad for running behind. Two weeks after my wedding we went up to a river and did a trash the dress photo shoot. It was so much fun and I love the pictures.
