Straight to the Plate Catering

Sue from Straight to the Plate met with Tony & I and really helped us personalize our menu for our wedding. From the appetizers to the main courses, everything was prepared well & tasted great. She added so many personal touches- like a cheese and fruit tray in the bridal suite and the groom's room. She even served both of us at the head table, so we didn't have to go through the buffet line!

We were really pleased with the service we received from Straight to the Plate, and have received a lot of compliments from our guests as well. I would highly recommend checking them out for wedding catering or any other event!

Sue and her crew did a fantastic job for our client’s open house event. Even though everything did not go exactly as planned, Sue was able to adjust quickly with style and grace. She made my job so much easier because I never even had to think about the food or service. And the food wasn’t just stuff from a big box store that was nicely presented. Everything was made so fresh and delicious that our guests were lining up to enjoy every tasty morsel! We would highly recommend Straight to the Plate for corporate events, meetings, and parties!

The food was wonderful! Everything tasted so fresh, and the buffet setup looked very nice. Sue was very easy to work with, and accommodated the dietary needs of our guests. Our guests all said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding.

Sue was great to work with. She listened to what we wanted and was very flexible in creating an elegant plated dinner option that included filet mignon and chicken picatta plus two sides on each plate. So many of my guests thought the filet was cooked to perfection and when they found out there wasn't a kitchen on site and all the food was prepared off site and brought in they were even more impressed. Everyone loved the BLT stuffed tomatoes and chimichurri sauce on the butler passed hors d'oeuvres. I was glad I went with the caprese salad because many guests enjoyed that special touch. My only slightly negative was that many guests commented on the chicken being a bit dry and missing the sauce. The look of the green beans and twice baked potatoes weren't the best looking, but they tasted delicious. Thank you so much for making my steak and potato family happy on my wedding day with great food!

We found Sue through an all inclusive program and LOVED her!! Her food is YUMMY!!, she has great taste in how she presents her food! She will take salad and it will be presented in a gorgeous Vase until time to serve!! She adds to the elegance of your venue right up to the time she clears her food and serving dishes from view! She added Australian translations or slang to the cards advertising the options and it was a big hit with both the Americans and the Australians!!
