I will start with the positivies: The view and room were awesome! The minister was even better. Many guests complimented me on how great he was. However, they made me sign a contract promising I wouldn't show up early or start late. If I started late I would have to pay $250.00 and I would not get the photagrapher for the entire hour I paid for. I was told that my 1/2 prep time in the back room of the small chapel was mostly for reviewing plans with the minister and my butler. So, I changed into my dress in the public restroom in the hotel, not great but whatever, I wanted everything else to run smoothly. My fiance called me and said the that Daun's assistant (Adelle I think) said I hadn't checked in yet and she didn't know where I was. Well I was told not to show up before 4:00 so when I got there at 3:58 she gave me a dirty look and rushed me up the elevator. How was I to know I could get in early if I just showed up. So, I suppose to have a butler. I got some guy from Turkey (I saw him twice the entire hour.) He didn't seat my guests or go over anything with me or my bridal party. I would tell you his name but he never introduced himself and he barked orders to one of my guests so she ran around doing what ever he asked. I had two bridesmaids that were willing and able to help. The butler lined us up at 4:25. He had my son start playing the guitar at 4:30 on the dot. We were then told that there was a problem with the video and we would start shortly. Fifteen minutes later my son is still playing "Ode to Joy" and my fiance is still waiting for me. The butler should have stopped the music and let my guests know what was happening. Everyone thought I was not ready on time. Plus people were tired of hearing the song. They get the video running and we start. The photographer is great and takes a lot of pictures. I did mention that I wanted one at the bottom of the hotel but because they ran late he had to stop at 5:30 and I missed out on 15 minutes of photos so I didn't get one of the shots I wanted. I am surprised that I have to pay if the wedding starts late and it is my fault but it doesn't work the other way. I did buy the overpriced photo package (1,500.00) because the photographer did a decent job and because he took a LOT of photos.

If you are planning on getting married in Vegas, this is the place to go! I got married on May 16, 2011 and it was AMAZING! We had about 20 family members come to the wedding and everyone remarked on how classy the wedding and reception were. The chapel was beautiful and our minister took the time to get to know us so that he could make the ceremony personal. We were married at 6:00 so that we could take pictures at sunset. Our photographer, Anthony, was phenomenal. He spent almost an hour with us and we had to choose from almost 200 pictures from the ceremony alone! Our personal butler, John, was unbelieveable. He had everything we needed and then some! He even refilled my glass when I was talking to some of our guests. We did have a dinner reception and the food was delicious! You could almost cut the streak with your fork! We also had a dj and dancing. We sent him a list of songs that we wanted played and he did a great job filling in the rest! We had a wedding that absolutely exceeded my expectations and we spent no where near what we would have spent on a wedding at home, or anywhere else for that matter! I highly recommend haivng your wedding and reception here!!!! LOVE!!

After 11 years my boyfriend and I decided to get married. We chose Las Vegas because it was centrally located for our families in Utah, California, and Arizona. We picked the Stratosphere because it was to me the best deal we could find.Although every couple is honestly a "number" in Vegas, the Stratosphere NEVER made us feel that way. We were treated as if we were the only couple in Vegas getting married and our wedding was just as important to them as it was to us.Pro's ...1. Excellent customer service, from the front desk (with one exception in my complaints section) to the bell boys to the wedding and buffet management and staff. I like dealing with people via email and they were extremely quick to respond and accommodating. The entire day was very simple and well organized with the help of our wedding coordinator who the Stratosphere assigns to you, it is a part of your package.2. The larger of the two wedding chapels, the Bella Vista Chapel is absolutely beautiful and the view is fantastic. We chose the LUCKY IN LOVE wedding package, but because we had more than 20 guests, had to upgrade to the larger Chapel for a fee ... totally worth it! The smaller chapel, Bella Luna is not even close to the quality of the Bella Vista Chapel. I would have been upset had we booked the Bella Luna Chapel.Getting up to elevator for the tower isn't difficult as long as you plan ahead. I made sure every guest had a map of the Stratosphere (which the front desk supplied me with and I gave out to each of my guests) and I recommended each guest find it prior to the wedding. I also called our wedding coordinator and asked for more specific directions than what is listed on their web site.3. The minister was wonderful, performed the ceremony exactly as we requested. You are expected to tip the minister $50 in addition to your other fee's, this is very clearly laid out on their web site and is typical of most Vegas Wedding Chapels. Even if we weren't required to tip, we would have anyway, he was fantastic!4. The photographer was great, easy going and fun. He took about 125 shots and we found many shots we liked. In your wedding package you are given a few shots with the package, however we opted to buy a CD of all 125 shots and the rights to reproduce them ourselves. We had an email from the photographer's company within a week or two with online proofs to view. Just keep in mind he shoots lots of shots quickly and doesn't follow the bride around while getting ready or come to the reception. I didn't really care about that stuff, so it was fine. He does however take you and the groom up to a private area of the observation deck for photos, those were the best shots of the evening!!!5. We got married in August of 2010, much to many family members dismay. They were afraid of the heat. It wasn't that bad. Like being in Wisconsin in the winter, in Vegas during the summer you spend much of your time in doors in the air conditioning. Every place has air conditioning in Vegas and pools. Our guests who did come had a fantastic time!6. Most of our guests stayed in the Stratosphere and this helped. Money is a huge factor for our family and friends and it was way less expensive than other casino-hotels right on the strip. Plus it is really easy to get around Vegas.Cons, not really, more like complaints ...1. Vegas was really fun for our guests and we all received excellent deals on hotel rooms. You can reserve a block of rooms for guests which we did and that went smoothly. My complaint was when I was reserving the block of rooms I was told by the front desk if 10 or more rooms were reserved by a certain date, we would get a free hotel room and an upgrade to a romance suite. Exactly 10 rooms were booked by the specified date, so when we called to get the free room set up, I was told we didn't qualify. It needed to be over 30 rooms. That really ticked me off and there was nothing I could do about it. So, we decided to let it go. We booked our own room just in case enough of our guests did not book with our block of rooms, so we still had a nice room at an affordable price ... but it wasn't free like we were promised! However the front desk, other than that, was extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to help my guests and I. 2. We wanted to feed our guests a meal, but this was one thing that was really expensive in Vegas. Most places only offer a half hour to an hour long reception with cake and champagne and nothing else UNLESS you want to spend a fortune. The option that made the most sense for us was the Buffet at the Stratosphere. We decided to do things a little out of order to save money. We began our wedding day with a Brunch from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, the wedding happened later on in the evening. We rented the private dinning room just off the main buffet. Our guests had the selection of the buffet, unlimited food and drinks, and the privacyyou would want for a wedding celebration. The food was very good and offered a HUGE variety. My husband and I are vegetarians, but our guests were not. So this really was a great solution. My only complaint was between the time I set up the Brunch and the day of the wedding, the price per person jumped drastically from $12.99per person to $17.99 per person. When looking at the agreement on paper that we signed, it does say "prices are subject to change without notification". We did call and talk to the manager about this and discovered when we booked the Brunch, Saturday mornings were not a Champagne Brunch. After we booked, they changed their Saturday Brunch to be a Champagne Brunch, hence the price increase. There was nothing we could do about the price, however they did allow us to shorten our Private Room rental time from 3 hours to 2 hours to save money. While at the actual Brunch, we ended up staying a half hour longer than planned, however they allowed us to do this free of charge and did not harass us about leaving right at 1:30pm. I wasn't happy about the price change, however it was still well worth it and my guests love the free Champagne. Despite these two complaints, I am still so very happy with my wedding at the Stratosphere. My husband and I are planning to go back specifically to the Stratosphere down the road for a nice Vegas vacations.

My husband and I chose the stratosphere as our wedding spot just because we thought it would be cool, and my husband wanted something that we couldn't get at home. We were so happy! The chapel is beautiful. I loved it, I think our pictures are gorgeous. Our photographer was great, and had no problem whatsoever with our friends and family taking pictures. I had been worried that he wouldn't allow it after reading some other reviews. He was also just supernice! I joked that at least I liked him, or else I would be angry that he's totally all over our wedding video! We chose non-denominational for our ceremony, I can't remember our pastor's name but he was really nice. He asked us both questions before the ceremony to try to get to know us, and really personalized it. Everyone thought he did a wonderful job, and we were so thankful! We had a dinner reception followed by champagne toast and cake. No dance floor, we only had 35 people. We brought our IPOD docking station and had our own music playing, but they also have one, or the house music was ok. We had booked the Valley View room but was upgraded to strip view at no charge, so that was awesome. Just a spectacular view in the evening! Food (beef wellington) was great, people cleaned their plates, even the veggies! We ordered a special cake--marble cake with chocolate mousse inside and butter cream frosting. It was divine. We saved our champagne for our one year anniversary. We stayed at the stratosphere and so did most of our guests. You can get a great room for 150/night, it was so comfortable. The thing that is great about the stratosphere is that it also has CHEAP rooms, which was great because we have some BROKE friends. You can eat a meal there for under 15/person, and that's saying something in vegas. After staying at mandalay and the venetian, I call the stratosphere as the more "down to earth" place to be. It has a laid back vibe and I would recommend it to anyone. The only cons about the stratosphere--1. It's difficult explaining to guests where they need to go, and telling them "the VIP suite at the base of the tower" doesn't really help, especially since there is some sort of VIP kiosk by the front desk of the hotel. The people at the front desk definitely directed some of our guests to that kiosk. 2. I arrive at the VIP suite to go upstairs to the waiting room/changing area at the assigned time, and I'm expecting my butler (or whatever) to come and get me, and instead the place is packed full of tourists waiting in line to get to the tower. Waiting in line for the elevator I'm supposed to take. And the security guard was a jerk. I was freaking but it was straightened out with time to spare. In retrospect, not a big deal, but NOT what I wanted 15 minutes before I'm supposed to be walking down the aisle.3. The email thing. It was annoying, but I'm type A. After working with them, I totally trust that they would not have let me down, but there were times when I was freaking out about not getting a reply! Bridezilla....

We got engaged in Las Vegas in May 2007 and decided to go to the Top of the Stratosphere to see the view of Las Vegas...it was AMAZING...it is just breathtaking up there (especially at night!) I said to my fiance, "I wonder if you could get married up here!" There it started....the planning process! We decided we wanted to get married at the Top of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas! So we did...23 family and friends ended up joining us on May 26th, 2009 and I wouldn't have changed it for anything it was just as I had pictured it =D The view was incredible-we LOVED IT! and our guests definately had not only a wedding they would never forget, but also a trip they would remember for the rest of their lives =)I will now break down my review of the Stratosphere...it is kind of complicated..overall I give it 5 stars-I almost don't want to give it an average rating at all, because at times they went above and beyond for me. For example we had 23 guests and their small chapel only seats 20 people-they upgraded us to the larger chapel for FREE...which I thank them from the bottom of my heart for..I just can't imagine 3 of our guests having to stand after flying from Michigan to Las Vegas to attend our wedding-so that was sooooooo nice of the Stratosphere to do for us!!! When we first started the planning process it was all through email, when you live in another state and you are getting married in Las Vegas....you have to do EVERYTHING through email...you kind of hope for a speedy response..sometime I would get a response the next day, sometimes it would take a week or more! Sometimes if I really needed an answer I would go over my wedding coordinator, who wasn't getting back to me, and send an email to person in charge of Chapel in the Clouds, because she ALWAYS got back to me either the same day or the next day =D Sooooo emails were kind of a pain in the butt, but thats where my responsiveness rating comes from. Our Minister, Richard was the NICEST guy EVER!!!! We couldn't have picked a better Minister if we tried-the minute we met him, I just loved him! He was great and calmed any nervous feelings we had. He performed a beautiful ceremony and even posed with my grandma and her Elvis shades (I'm a big Elvis fan so all my relatives put on Elvis sunglasses/sideburns at the end of the ceremony to surprise me haha) Richard was a complete sweetheart and I can't thank him enough for making our ceremony so perfect! I wish I would have remembered to give him a big hug at the end of the ceremonyOur Stratosphere Photographer-she had a chip on her shoulder from go, not sure if she just didn't want to be there for the whole whopping 30 minutes she was paid to be there or what, but she was rude and not very pleasant to work with. (I'm not saying it was necessary, but I mean how hard is it to be nice for 30 minutes on people's wedding day!) She wouldn't let any of our relatives take any pictures with flashes on, therefore nobody who took pictures besides her pictures really turned out in the chapel. We were then rushed out of the Chapel and up to the Stratosphere Observation Deck, which is fine cause we were going up there anyways and she took some more pictures, however she managed to get the "No Smoking" sign in most of our pictures. However, I will say just because she was a beotch it didn't bring us down one bit...Richard (the minister) the gorgeous chapel, and THE VIEW of Las Vegas...completely made up for her attitude =DThe next day we went to view our pictures and pick the ones for our package (we were to get (1) 8x10 and (3) 4x6's with our package) each additional picture was priced ridiculously high for example (1) 4x6 was $10 each! YIKES...we bought 9 more...so it was $96 and some cents with tax! Anyways our 8x10 was a beautiful picture of us on the observation deck overlooking the strip...with the "No Smoking" sign next to us and I asked if they could please crop out the "No Smoking" sign because I can't see that hanging on our wall with the sign you know...LOL and the woman told me that she wasn't sure...WHAT?! I could crop that out easy with Photo shop myself! Give me a break..anyways she told me she thought they could after a few minutes of looking at it, but that it would have to be shipped to us and that would be an additional $15 for shipping and handeling! I asked when she thought that would get to us and she said probably within 4 to 6 WEEKS! Are you kidding for a fricken picture that came with our package an EXTRA $15 and it would take 4-6 weeks to get it! Geesh....anything to make a buck I guess...I'm REALLY glad we did the Las Vegas Strip Photo Tour with Toner Photography (Check out that review!) though for our wedding pictures...we would have only had a couple professional pictures if we went with Stratosphere pictures alone. YIKES! Chapel in the Clouds-us checking out the mountains from the chapel =)Husband and Wife-Chapel in the Clouds The Chapel in the CloudsTop of the Stratosphere Outside Observation Deck overlooking the Las Vegas StripTop of the Stratosphere Outside Observation Deck overlooking the Las Vegas Strip

The wedding was perfect; all was taken care of by the wedding coordinator. The flowers were perfect, food, and service. The photos turned out great and I bought the photo package.

This hotel was very nice, we just got a regular double king bed room. The room size was nice and check in was a breeze. The staff was very helpful in giving directions and helping us find fun things to do on our honeymoon. The hotel has a rides on top of the buildings, but we did not ride them. The Stratosphere is the tallest building in Las Vegas, so the view is awesome, but you can only go up free of charge for a few hours during the day. It would have been nice to go up at night, but you had to pay and it wasn’t worth it to us. The location of the hotel was awesome, we were close to everything that you would want to be. Overall, would stay there again!

The chapel in the clouds is a beautiful venue. You get the best view in Las Vegas. They are very easy to deal with and at the last minute we added a webcast and it was no problem. They even upgraded the venue to make the webcast easier at no cost. Any questions we had the wedding co-ordinator was ready for. The only thing that was not flexible was the onsite photography that you must use. We had a problem with them. If you can bring along a friend or two with a digital camera, they will be able to take just as nice a photo without the cost of the professional shoot.

They were rreally great in answering questions and making sure it went smoothly

The chapel was beautiful, and the ceremony was quick and simple.

I had helped plan several weddings and did not want the stress of planning my own. This was perfect. Everything was beautiful and we loved it. Flowers were gorgous, music was perfect and offiant was great. Vidoe and pictures were AMAZING! People in the office were wonderful to work with.

I dont think that neither Chris nor I could have asked for anything more. From the first time I called for prices to the day after to pick up our photos we were NOTHING but thrilled!! Everyone we talked with were great. Very helpful and quick to help. They handled our location, officiant and photos and everything was perfect!!

I was married 364 days ago today at the Stratosphere Hotel. The staff for the Chapel in the Clouds and photographer was great. The value for what your dollar on your wedding day is also unbeatable - you get amazing photos from the top of the observatory tower, a chapel for your wedding, the officiant is arranged for you, access to the tower for your guests, champagne, etc.

My husband and I chose to get married here because it seemed like a beautiful, and unique place to get married. I absolutely LOVED my ceremony, and the location. We got married at sunset, and the views were absolutely stunning. I would not have traded it for anything. Our wedding planner, however, was a different story. She was horrible at keeping in contact with us. Never called to let us know where her office was when we arrived at the hotel, and said it was OUR fault for being late. Not to mention, in the early stages, we went through 3 other planners, because they were suddenly "No longer with the company". Like I said, the setting and chapel were unbeatable, but don't expect ANYTHING from the planners they have. And the value was also great. We paid around $600, and that included the ceremony, the use of the chapel for 30 minutes, my own personal butler, my flowers, admission for all of my guests into the tower, and a bottle of champagne. Oh, and our wedding was viewable online for 30 days. Very cool. I highly recommend the chapel, and the packages, just be leery of the wedding planners.
GUEST

My reviews are mixed because there were two very different groups that I worked with. The people who handled the actual wedding in the chapel the day of the wedding were WONDERFUL! I had a personal butler named Goldie and she was fabulous! The minister was great and the photographer was great! The pictures turned out really well, too, and we were able to review them in the office the day after the wedding, so that we could order and pay before leaving town. I can't say enough about those that helped us on our big day!Everything leading up to our wedding day was a mess! They have "wedding planners" at the hotel who allegedly handle everything for you up to the day of the wedding. At times, it took me 30 days to get them to return calls and emails. It caused me so much stress, and other than that I was very laid back about planning this wedding, as I am about most things. But when you have given people money to plan your wedding and then they won't return your calls, you start to panic about the financial loss, thinking they just took your money and now are ignoring you, as well as the stress over nothing getting done for your wedding day. We went to Vegas and hired a chapel and wedding planner ahead of time so that we wouldn't have the stress of doing it ourselves, but the wedding planners caused me more stress than I have ever felt about anything ever. They were TERRIBLE. If they had been my only contact with employees at this hotel/chapel, I would have given them ZERO stars. Also, our wedding cake that came with our wedding package tasted like cardboard. None of the guests would eat it, even to be nice. Everyone literally spit it out, including the kids. It was NASTY!!! It's only redeeming quality was that it looks pretty in the pictures.
GUEST

The chapel has a gorgeous view of Las Vegas. It was nice to have the ceremony all taken care of in one package. There was no picking out of the cake, flowers, champagne, videographer, and photographer. It was all done for us and was a nice headache not to have. The only misgiving I had was that the package that we bought changed by the time the wedding occured, so some of the things (like a garter) were no longer in stock.
GUEST

The only negative thing about getting married on the outdoor deck at the Stratosphere is that the deck is open to the public during your ceremony, so random people may be watching or walking around your party. There is also some semi-obnoxious pop music playing at all times; I'd suggest the hotel play some light classical or jazz when they know a wedding is going on! Overall, though, it is a nice place to get married if you like a killer view, a cool memory and like heights! The officiant was very nice and I think we got a good value for what we paid.

Staying at the Stratosphere turned into a magnificent way to spend our wedding & honeymoon. We enjoyed the planning process, and even got married at the top of Stratosphere. The views were amazing, and somehow still intimate. The service and fast return to all of my calls/e-mails was fantastic. Everything about this place was wonderful.
GUEST

We really enjoyed having our wedding in Las Vegas..The Stratosphere provided everything we needed to complete our day...I know Vegas isn't for everyone but for us, paying for our own wedding, it was very cost effective..The Stratosphere provided wonderful pictures, a beautiful ceremony, a great video and a fantastic experience for everyone who attended.. We all had a great time..I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.......Thanks to everyone at the Stratosphere for helping us plan our day...Karen

I loved it! It was quick and easy and the pictures turned out beautiful!

My husband and I were married there over a year and a half ago and I still think and tell people that it was the best thing that we have ever done. Not only was it beautiful but it was also in our price range. If we had to do it all over again I would not change one thing.
GUEST

For anyone looking for a unique wedding experience, getting married at the top of the Stratosphere Tower should be looked into.
GUEST

I booked our wedding location online and chose their minimal package since it was just my husband and I who would be at the ceremony. We found out that we could choose from many time slots for our wedding and when the time slot I requested wasn't available, I received a prompt email with a few other choices. Everyone was dealt with was very nice and friendly. They also provided a team of photographers who were very good about directing us and they took high quality photos, for a reasonable price and very quickly too. The only thing I would have wanted done differently was for the observation deck to provide a place especially for the ceremony. Our officiant just took us to a spot on the deck where not too many people were standing and married us right by the railing. The speakers will still on, playing 80's music and that didn't fit too well with our experience. Other than that, everything was great! Fast, friendly and efficient.
