I can't even begin to tell ANYONE how absolutely wonderful my wedding was. I feel in love with the Stroudsmoor Country Inn the minute I stepped foot on their property. My wedding was even BETTER than I could have EVER dreamed. Linda and Lizzy (my wedding planners) were absolutely wonderful. They were there for me every step of the way. Two months before my wedding, my father passed away and through everything they stood by me the whole entire time. Grieving the death of your father and trying to finish planning a wedding is not an easy thing to do, and without them I do not know how I would have gotten through it. Everything was exactly how I pictured - the cake, center pieces, flowers, ceremony EVERYTHING. It is such a magical place to get married. The grounds are beautiful and spacious. I honestly felt on top of the world the day of my wedding, they really treated me as though I was a princess. So many of my guests keep telling me how amazing my wedding was and that it was one of the best if not THE BEST wedding they have ever been too. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend The Stroudsmoor Country Inn to anyone planning to get married. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would because it was incredible.

Absolutely perfect. Planned my wedding in two months, Amy was the best! Having everything at one location made it a breeze and stress free. The Lawnhaven Building is gorgeous. Perfect size for our small wedding of 60. The food was the best I have ever had at any wedding. Crazy amount of hor deurves. Guests LOVED it and so did we!!!!

My husband and I held our New Year's Eve wedding reception @ Stroudsmoor Country Inn (Stroudsburg, PA - Pocono Area). There are plenty of room options for guests and several buildings at the inn (depending on your taste/style and number of guests attending) where you can hold your ceremony, reception or both! We had our reception at Woodsgate which is very intimate and stunning on the inside. Everyone was so attentive and made the planning and wedding day stress free and very memorable. Everything was perfect. The flowers and decorations were exactly what I pictured. The food - WOW amazing and the photographers were phenomenal. I wish I could do it all over again and wouldn't think twice about using them for future events. I HIGHLY recommend Stroudsmoor to any bride!

I cannot stress enough how UN-stressful our wedding at Stroudsmoor was. The event planners and staff truly know their stuff, and are accommodating in all ways possible. Orchestrating a wedding is a huge tasks that Brides can nearly lose their minds over - Stroudsmoor makes the process fun while still paying great attention to detail. The fact that they have all the vendors a Bride would normally have to coordinate for herself, and they coordinate those vendors themselves, is absolutely priceless. Our guests were delighted and we enjoyed every minute.

The food was amazing! Everything was cooked to perfection. For those who made special requests, they were accommodated without question! The waiters and waitresses were always there for your every need!

We had our reception at Stroudsmoor and I cannot say enough have easy they made my day. They made effort to accommodate my requests and their attention to the guests as well as us was impeccable. My guests loved the service they provided and the food was outstanding. Book early if you want your reception here!

We had our wedding ceremony & reception at Stroudsmoor (Ridgecrest) 10/07/2011. It was absolutely beautiful! The entire staff at Stroudsmoor were professional, helpful and made our day everything we imagined. They always seemed to be one step ahead of us in the planning process, and our planner, Cathleen, was always there to answer any questions I had. She was definitely a huge help and I don't know how I would have done it all without her to guide us through it.

Stroudsmoor truly helps you throughout the entire planning process. They were great to deal with & even went above and beyond by removing a few tables for us even though the policy stated they wouldn't. I felt bad even asking, but they helped us out and it really made me happy.

Everything at Stroudsmoor was excellent - the food, the grounds, the staff, etc. Our guests cannot stop raving about how our wedding at Ridgecrest was the nicest wedding they've ever attended. This place is by far the best place in the entire area to have your wedding & I highly recommend it to everyone!

The Stroudsmoor staff is FABULOUS! From the moment we walked in the door as a potential wedding venue, we knew the Stroudsmoor had to be the place! The property is so well maintained, the food is absolutely delicious (every single time, and we have dined there many times)and the wedding planners are spectacular. The flowers were stunning and made our day even more beautiful. The wedding planners and services at the Stroudsmoor really make the wedding process stress free! I could never say enough good things about the Stroudmoor Country Inn, and would highly recommend it to anyone getting married in the area!

If you are looking for a charming and different wedding- this is the place to do it!! My husband and I fell in love with the Ridgecrest site after visiting the grounds. We live in northern, New Jersey and were looking to escape the wedding mills around us. We had the most magical wedding ever! Top notch service and the staff here is sooooo sweet and accommodating. Cannot say enough about everyone we came into contact with, especially our wedding coordinator Cathleen Fillman. I wish we could experience it all over again!!

The Stroudsmoor is absolutely wonderful!! The ceremony site was BEAUTIFUL!! The quality of service and the food was remarkable! They were there every step of the way and always available to answer any questions. My wedding day went flawlessly and I will always remember it!

Our situation was a little different than most in that my husband and I were in charge of the planning for our son's US reception. He and his bride were being married in Dresden, Germany and we wanted to host a US event since not many of the US guests could travel to Germany. Although Josh and Susan were in the US before the wedding, they were living in different states due to their jobs and really couldn't take an active part in the planning of the event at Stroudsmoor. Our events planner, Linda, was extremely helpful and understanding of our particular circumstances. She, as well as the rest of the staff with whom we worked, displayed the utmost professionalism in guiding us through the planning and execution of our reception. From the early planning stages to the final event, Stroudsmoor exceeded our expectations and we wholeheartedly recommend them.

I was not the typical bride who had planned her wedding since she was a little girl. I had no idea what I was doing and no vision in my head of what I wanted at all. As the first of my friends and siblings to get married, I hadn't even been to a wedding since being the flower girl for my cousin when I was five. I thought being so not picky about how things went would make things feel less stressful but I think it had the opposite effect, as I constantly questioned each decision I made, cursing the days as a kid I spent being "one of the guys" and having no concept of colors, flowers, dresses, or decor. Enter Stroudsmoor and wedding coordinator Barbara. We lived several hours away from Stroudsburg but with my Boston family and his Pittsburgh family it made a decent half way point and when we went to take a tour I immediately set my heart on Woodsgate (my heart had been set on Stroudsmoor in general just from the website). The travel time made things a little difficult for us and our time was always accommodated. Barbara was always really patient and helpful. I absolutely loved how personalized everything was to our personalities and styles. As I read up on wedding blogs and learned new or different things I was constantly changing things around and could never really make up my mind on anything and my changes were always accepted without any sign of how irritating I must have been. I honestly cannot imagine the entire planning process had we gone anywhere else, I might have actually lost my mind. Everything went off without a hitch. All of our guests were amazed with how absolutely beautiful the setting was, how friendly the staff was, how immediately their needs were met. We had budgeted from our engagement how much we could spend and how we would pay for things but a few months before the wedding several family issues caused a problem for our finances. Everyone (especially Jessie in their floral department, she was wonderful) worked really hard with us to make our deposit schedules fit for us so that we could still do everything we wanted without having to put a strain on us. I never would have expected such compassion and flexibility from such a high caliber wedding venue/coordinator/everything else they were for us. They truly gave us the perfect wedding that was unique and true to who we are as individuals and as a couple. We used them for our venue, caterer, coordinator, florist, baker, lodging, my hair and nails, and their recommendations for our DJ, photographer, and officiant. It was wonderful to have everything taken care of right there, and each aspect was flawless. I am amazed at wonderful the food was. I've been to a lot of formal non-wedding events before and have never enjoyed the catered food so much. I seriously can't say enough good things about them. If they could work this well with me, they can literally work for anyone.

Enough can not be said about Barbara my wedding coordinator and the stroudsmoor crew. They are incredible. I had a vision for my wedding and they made it better than could be imagined. Stroudsmoor is a one stop shop. I got my invitations, favors, flowers, and everything there. Just amazing and well worth every penny you pay which for what is included I think is not alot!

If you are looking for flawless execution of absolutely beautiful wedding receptions-- look no further. The Stroudsmoor is superb. Our wedding coordinator was Linda who expertly organized our wedding, and did not miss a beat. The communication throughout the planning was fantastic, and we got SO MANY compliments on the wedding reception. The food was fantastic, the flowers were beautiful-- it was perfect. The staff at the Stroudsmoor are experts, and I would recommend this venue to any bride.

We were absolutely blown away by our wedding at Stroudsmoor. It is truly an amazing place that knows just how to throw a wedding. We loved that everything was included and that they took care of the little details that we just didn't either know about or have time to worry about.

As a couple planning a wedding from out of town, Stroudsmoor helped make planning this wedding very simple. We held both our ceremony and reception at the Woodsgate site, Barbara was a wonderful planner. We also used the onsite florist, bridal shop for invitations, the lodging coordinator, and the onsite bridal salon and spa. We did not use the onsite photographer, but this venue allows for almost one stop organizing. They also had a helpful list of area vendors including additional photographers, DJs/musicians, florists, and officiates. \r\n\r\nPlanning: Planning was fairly straight forward. There are several venues to choose from, but wedding size may change which venue can be used. Barbara showed us our potential sites, and worked with us through the months on planning the ceremony & reception timelines, food, working with vendors etc. They have standard checklists to work though which were very useful in making sure we had captured all important aspects for the wedding. The contract is pretty strict (no outside food, additional time costs & bar minimums for example), but they were upfront with all costs and we had no surprises. \r\n\r\nFood & Beverage: There were several food & beverage packages to choose from, which could be easily customized based on your budget and taste. The reception costs are based on the number of guests and the food and beverage packages chosen, there were no additional costs for the reception venue itself, unless upgrades are chosen. There is a bar minimum in the contract, the amount varies based on the venue and night of the week. We chose the Country Heritage package, which included a cocktail hour with 25 hot and cold butler passed Hors d\'oeuvres as well as a vegetable and cheese tray in the cocktail area, an appetizer, a choice of two entrees (a third can be added for an additional cost), and the cake. Vegetarian and other dietary restriction dishes were accommodated with no issues. The cake is also included with the package, there were several cake/frosting flavor options and ways to display and decorate the cake. Custom cakes were also an option through the bakery, for an additional cost. No outside food is allowed (including food favors) as part of their contract. \r\n\r\nService: Service was great during the entire planning process, but the staff at our actual reception was outstanding. They made sure the bridal party had everything they needed; everyone was well fed and had beverages. The staff also went above and beyond for the Groom, making him a special dairy free cupcake. During planning, phone calls and e-mails were responded to in a timely manner. \r\n\r\nCost: The cost may initially appear high, but the reception costs include not only the food and beverages, but also the staff, the setup/cleanup of the room, linens, dining ware, base decorations, as well as the wedding coordinator. Tip and service charges are included in the estimates, and the reception cost varies based on the number of guests. \r\n\r\nLodging: The Inn allows for a discount with a room block of at least 10 rooms booked. The downside of the room block is that all rooms not to be used have to be released 2 months before the wedding date, and there are potential charges if the rooms are cancelled by the guests. However, without the room block depending on the weekend the Inn can fill up, so this was a better way for us to ensure that our guests could stay locally. \r\n

We were married at Woodsgate and loved every second of it. Everything was perfect.

I know so many good things have already been said about The Stroudsmoor, but it can't hurt to have one more stellar review. Every venue there is unique and gives you privacy and the feeling that you are the only couple in the world getting married. The staff is top-notch. The professionalism is ever-present without being stiff or overbearing. Our wedding planner, Cathleen Fillman was incredibly helpful as was every other member of staff we had to work with to make our day complete. Our guests can't stop talking about how "magical" the day was. We chose the Woodsgate, by the way, as our venue. Incredible.

I can not describe in words what a wonderful place the Stroudsmoor Country Inn is. They made my wedding experience so relaxing and stress free due to all the support and help they provide. They have everything in one location for you from flowers to invitations to a spa. The food, staff and presentation is wonderful. If you want awesome pictures go visit their on site photographers called Vinzon Lee Photography, they were also wonderful and so easy to get along with. I could not have wished for a better reception thanks to the Stroudsmoor Country Inn!

They have great variety of wedding reception venues for different wedding party sizes. It's great that the coordinator you start with sticks with you through it all, you feel like you are in great hands! I was at the woodsgate location , just breathtaking natural venue. They work with you on the date and pricing, and wait on you hand and foot , my guests could not stop heaping praise on the staff, the decor and the food AMAZING!

Every Bride wants to feel like a princess on her wedding day and Stroudsmoor provided nothing less...Literally...Stroudsmoor was wonderful at helping me plan my wedding as well as on my wedding day, and not only did I feel like princess for a day, they were also very attentive to my whole bridal party as well all the guest we had there..If one dreams of being a princess for a day, having great food, entertainment, and service..With a flawless wedding and attention to detail then stroudsmoor is definately the place to have it..they definately did not dissapointment..they went above and beyond all my expectations for my wedding day...

I know it looks like I just gave 5-stars to each category and rushed through this review. But really, the Stroudsmoor Country Inn delivered on every detail.
They make it so easy to get married. And since they're the experts, it took a lot of stress off of us. Wedding planner, Catherine, was great and walked us through the day. She was easy to get a hold of using email or phone.

My son and his wife got married at Stroudsmoor Country Inn in May. This place is beautiful. Barbara was the event planner - she is wonderful. Everyone on the staff was excellent - so attentive, caring, friendly. There was not one staff member that any of us could have a complaint or negative comment about. Nor anything negative as far as ceremony, reception, accomodations - everything was perfect. Food was delicious! Even as we were leaving, one of the housekeepers was outside and asked if we had good time and was chatting with us - so friendly. I would highly recommend Stroudsmoor. Stroudsmoor Country Inn is absolutely wonderful. Everyone was so professional and made you feel special. The food is out of this world and the scenery is breathtaking. If you are looking for a quintessential Pocono wedding, this is the place.

From the initial meeting with Linda to the last explosion of the fireworks on our wedding day, everything was PERFECT. We could not have imagined how glamorous and extravagant the whole ceremony and reception would be. The experience was beyond our wildest imaginations and we greatly treasure the friendships that we have gained through both Linda and her staff members. We would recommend the location and the whole experience without hesitation because it was such a flawless experience.

I could not have been more pleased, my reception at the Stroudsmoor Country Inn was remarkable, It was wonderful she helped us on every little detail, I relied on her expertise since i did not have a coordinator, everything turned out perfect.All of my out of town guests felt very welcome and comfortable during their stay.

The staff at Stroudsmoor were attentive, helpful and accommodating throughout my entire experience. Our wedding was planned very quickly, we were married 4 months after we got engaged, but the wonderful people at Stroudsmoor made the whole experience easy and I never felt rushed or stressed about anything.
Stroudsmoor did all the planning for me, I sat with the flower designer the same day that I picked out my linens and room decorations. Everything was done quickly, professionally and beautifully. My guests loved the hotel, they loved the reception room and the ceremony. We had the ceremony and reception inside Woodsgate and the decorations were perfect for a January wedding, all fireplaces and candles, it looked like a warm ski lodge all done up for Christmas. The food was wonderful and the portions were very generous.
Also, the staff at Stroudsmoor worked with my other vendors to make sure that everything was set up and I didn't need to be bothered with any last minute details on my wedding day. My planner, Barbara, worked with my officiant and my DJ every step of the way and she was a God-send! She was able to make last minute changes when the weather didn't cooperate with our plans for the ceremony and none of my guests knew the difference, it was that smooth. Throughout the reception Stroudsmoor staff kept in contact with me to make sure that everything was going well and that I didn't need anything. The whole experience was really wonderful, I can't imagine trying to plan everything without their help!

This place is a dream come true!!!! My Sister and I both had our weddings here in 2009 3 months apart. Barbara was our coordinator and she is the absolute best is the business. Susan is the on-site florist she is a true genious! Every single detail was covered and amazing. They take care of every single thing and they go above and beyond.

Stroudsmoor made my wedding day perfect!! From day one when i met with Barbara the wedding coordinator i knew this whole process was going to be easy and stressfree. She answered every question i had and helped with with every aspect of planning. They even provided me with a list of reccomended vendors (for photography, DJ, Limos, Florists, etc) The day of everything went perfectly. They set everything up and made sure it was exactly how i wanted it. THe food and cake were amazing. After the ceremony, during pictures they had waiters bring me and my husband and bridal party drinks and some food from the cocktail hour. During dinner we had our own personal waiter who would make sure we had whatever we wanted. My wedding day was absolutely perfect thanks to Stroudsmoor! My photographers even commented that my bridal suite (Highland Cottage at Stroudsmoor) was the cutest they've seen!

My family and friends continue to talk about how wonderful Stroudsmoor was! The food was unbelievable, as well as the service, and how can I forget the ceremony site? Absolutely stunning. My wedding turned out to be the fairytale I always wanted it to be. Barbara was a great coordinator, and always calmed my family's nerves. I can't say enough about Stroudsmoor, and I have been recommending it since our wedding, 8/29/09!

I can not say enough about the Stroudsmoor! Anyone who is having a wedding in the Poconos should definitely check out the Stroudsmoor. They have multiple different ceremony and reception sites to accommodate different wedding sizes and are willing to work with your budget. Everything was excellent! They pride themselves on customer service and it truly shows! They are detail oriented and in tune with every little aspect. Coming from a bride who is super organized, I couldn't be happier with the Stroudsmoor.

I got married in Lawnhaven, and it was perfect. My planner was amazing--she kept everything organized and on schedule, and gave me some great ideas for the reception. Although the price SEEMED high, you get so much for that price that it's absolutely a great deal. They made two cakes that people are still talking about, and the service during the reception was wonderful. Every time you turned around, there was someone offering you something. And the food! So many people told me it was the best wedding food they ever had! I can't say enough how awesome Stroudsmoor is. They really made the day perfect.

My wife and I have been to the Stroudsmoor on numerous occassions, usually for birthdays or anniversaries. Taking my wife's aunt for dinner on her birthday had become a tradition, however, at 90 she can't get around very well any more. So we decided to bring the Stroudsmoor to her instead. I ordered five take out meals to be picked up on a Saturday afternoon. To their credit they did not prepare the takeout until we arrived. Danielle took care of everything and could not have done a better job. All the meals were individually packaged, rolls and butter were included, there was a huge nicely arranged salad for sharing with two types of dressing on the side, There were napkins and cutlery all neatly packed in a reusable bag with handles for easy transport. As usual the food was great ... pork schnitzel with buttered noodles, grilled chicken breast with rice pilaf, and melt in your mouth pot roast with red cabbage, and mashed potatos with gravy. You guys are phenomenal.

The Stroudsmoor Country Inn was the perfect place for our October wedding. Barbara was our coordinator and worked with us tirelessly on creating a wedding day that was our own. The entire day from start to finish was perfect. We could not have been happier with how everything went. Our guests still talk about the day and how everything ran so smoothly. The food was incredible! And the cake, which was not traditional, was the most delicious. We asked them to make a cake that was not on the menu of choices, but a combination of two of them. They were open to the idea and created the yummiest cake ever! The staff and service were all tremendous. We can't thank them enough for making our wedding day so perfect!!!!
Susan was the coordinator for the flowers and decorations. She was so sweet and so easy to work with. We were not wanting too many flowers for our fall wedding and she created a beautiful setting that was just so. We could not be happier with how the flowers and decorations turned out.

Absolutely amazing venue, gave us a list of other vendors that we might need for the day, we got our minister and band from the list and they were TOP NOTCH! seamless night, great service, and great support through the whole planning process!

My wedding was amazing. I am so glad I had it here. The staff is kind and extremely helpful. The food is spectacular. People say no one remembers the food at your wedding, but it was not the case here. The location is beautiful and they have several different locations to choose from. The package came with a planner who was very helpful in letting us know what decisions needed to be made and when. They also provided a list of outside vendors they work with to help. Each vendor came highly recommended as they work with all of them. I planned my wedding in 6 months and could not have done it without their help. Also, there is a discount if you book your wedding in January through March - which saved my husband and I a bunch since we paid for our wedding ourselves.

Although it took a long time for us to book our event, the event itself was flawless. I did not live close to the site and we only had to make 2 trips to the site for planning. everything was taken care of by the event planners. Our input and needs were valued and met. The food was absolutely delicious the cake was beautifl and divine! The coordinators at the event took care of all of our needs and all of the planning during the event. we did not have to look ata clock once. They would come and get us for anything like pictures, etc. we were able to enjoy our wedding and our guests. It was wonderful. Til this day we still hear how beautiful it was and how fantastic the food was. At the end f the night, we didn't have to worry about getting anything paked up or taken home. They packed everything up for us and had it taken to our room. we had a night free from all worries. we never had to get ourselves a drink or anything. I was queen for a night. In addition...the morning of our even which was planned for outside, was raining and they allowed us to make a last minute change and moved our event inside. They were very helpful and gracious. I couldn't have asked for a better site or service. I was very pleased and would reccomment them to anyone!

Linda and everone at Stroudsmoor make planning a wedding look easy. They are very flexible and work with you in everyway to make your wedding exactly what you want it to be. Linda is great at listening to your needs and transforming them into your dream. The food is excellent and the cake was out of this world. The have a sampling so you can taste almost everything they offer. We planned our wedding in 6 months.

Stroudsmoor is the place to get married if you love outdoorsy, woodsy, picturesque settings. I loved this place for many reasons: 1. the service--the wedding coordinator that helps you is extremely helpful and friendly from the start. They think about details for you so that you are not stressed out. They were the friendliest vendors that I spoke with on the phone, and that is why I decided to check them out. 2. The food was AMAZING and way worth its value. 3. The floral arrangements were incredible. The florist was incredibly flexible because I had a tight budget, and worked with me and listened to me to get exactly what I wanted. She also ordered wedding favors for me--chocolate cigars--which were delicious. 4. It is a gorgeous setting--at any of the sites--and each outdoor site comes with an indoor backup plan. None of my guests minded the drive--although some friends got lost, despite detailed directions, or arrived late because of traffic. 5. The rooms are incredible. Many of my guests stayed for the weekend--we just stayed one night--and have returned since. I loved our room in the main inn--it was absolutely luxurious. Two floors. Huge. Great decorations. Only problem--room service was not available, and no one would deliver, and we were STARVING--had to go out to McDonalds--have a friend bring you food/wine and leave it in your room during the wedding.

You cannot beat the helpful staff there. I do not regret our decision to have our wedding there at all. Our guests said that it was the best wedding they had been to. I agree ;)

This place was amazing, I was so impressed with the way they worked with me and the way that what I told them they did and it looked so beautiful. To this day I still get " wow your wedding was so beautiful , the foos was amazing, or it was something i will never forget because it was such a beautiful wedding." I would reccomend this place to any one, if I had to redue our wedding I would still have it there. The wedding cake was out of this world, it was so amazing and beautiful. One of the best parts was that we had a personal server who was there for anything we needed and was willing to get us anything we wanted. She was amazing and so nice. The florest did a great job with the flowers and center pieces.

I cannot say enough goo things about Stroudsmoor and it's staff. I worked with event planner Barbra. She was easy to work with and an amazing professional. She was also very patient with me trying to plan a wedding from Va where I live. The staff was well organized and the room(Lawnhaven) we were in, was enchanting!!!

We were married at the Stroudsmoor Country Inn (Woodsgate venue) in November 2011. Our event planner was Barbara, florist was Susan, and group lodging coordinator was Colleen. We even used the salon for hair and makeup. Everyone did an incredible job ensuring that our wedding was everything we hoped and dreamed of.

Throughout the planning process, they were all extremely responsive, and made sure we were always on top of what needed to be done. The fact that we could do everything in one place was a huge plus for us. We probably could have done some things more inexpensively, but we were willing to pay a premium for the convenience afforded us by the Stroudsmoor. It was nice to have food, beverage, cake, flowers, and beauty services ALL in one place...and not having to coordinate as many vendors.

I also was thrilled that we were able to find an amazing photographer and an incredible officiant through the Stroudsmoor's recommendations. They were even able to help schedule meetings with these vendors, which also helped organize the planning process.

The lodging process got a bit confusing at times, but Colleen was always there to ensure things were figured out and our guests were well taken care of as they tried to book their rooms, and as they checked in and received their welcome bags. And everyone LOVED the accommodations.

On the day of the wedding, I can't think of anything that went wrong. The Stroudsmoor staff made sure that we didn't even have to bat an eyelash. The flowers arrived on time. When my husband or I, or our immediate family, needed ANYTHING, it was taken care of without us having to think about it. Barbara ensured the ceremony flowed smoothly, she also coordinated with our DJ, officiant, and photographer. We had servers assigned to us (and our immediate family members), who made sure we always had full drinks and ensured that we got to taste as much of the food as possible (which was a lot, since we had a cocktail reception!).

Susan did an incredible job with the flowers and our custom gift box. Everything was beautiful, and we didn't really give her much instruction...just an idea of budget and colors we liked. She's so creative! The food and cake were delicious too!

Our friends and family can't stop raving about what an amazing wedding we had. It truly reflected US, and we couldn't have done it without the help of Barbara and the whole Stroudsmoor team!

We are so glad we chose Stroudsmoor for our wedding. We got married at Lawnhaven and it was absolutely beautiful. The whole process of dealing with the Stroudsmoor staff, from selecting the venue in November of 2008 til the wedding day in August 2009, was seamless and stress-free. It was so convenient to have a wedding coordinator - ours was Corinne, who, even though pregnant with twins, was always responsive to our concerns. Having everything on-site, catering, florist, cake, etc. made it so easy to plan long-distance as we live in Virginia. We only needed to visit in person 3 times. The food was delicious, the decor and setting beautiful, and many of our guests told us that it was the best/most beautiful wedding they had ever been to! We stayed there for 4 nights and loved our little cottage. We will definitely be going back for our anniversary to enjoy the same cake they made for our wedding cake! Also, the price ended up being more reasonable than any other venues we had considered in the area, as they were flexible with our numbers and didn't make us meet a ridiculous minimum. The best choice for the wedding of your dreams.

Absolutely MADE our event! Our family has belonged for years, but it was great to see that they were able to be more flexible than other venues we had interviewed, since we were interested in a non-traditional ceremony.

Cathleen Fillman (our coordinator) is a great listener! Stroudsmoor is, bar none, the best place in the area to host ANY event. Food was delicious, our ceremony & reception site (Woodsgate) were beautiful, and we even had our own personal bartender for the reception.

The only gripe we had was that when we chose the ceremony site, there was a very simple and elegant wooden structure at the altar area... That rustic beauty was the main reason we chose that venue over Lawnhaven. Between when we booked the date, and our actual wedding, Stroudsmoor tore down that structure and replaced it with a very large (and pretty) structure made of wood beam and stone. We did not really appreciate that our venue was changed, and we were not notified in any way. I understand that they have the right to improve their property in any way that they see fit, however, I still feel that we should have been notified.

All in all, it turned out beautiful, but we really were saddened that they tore down the most charming part of that particular site. Although, I must say, it's gorgeous now. I think I was more concerned that they wouldn't have the new structure finished before my wedding. Which is why I gave them those two lower star ratings... Not that I expected them to ask my permission, but it would have been nice to have the option to change my venue should we absolutely hate what they were building there.

Our wedding day was great. The setting was breath taking and the reception was bueatiful. The food and cake was awesome! We enjoyed every part of our wedding day.

Overall, I could not have asked for a better place to have my wedding. The day of was absolutely perfect, and having most of my major vendors all included saved huge amounts of stress for us. The only critiques that I have to offer have to do with the flexibility and responsiveness from SCI. We were initially told that there were great military discounts, but it turned out to only be $200 off of a $21,000 package, which was a little disappointing. They were also unwilling to budge on any minimums, whether guest numbers or package costs, and said that the only reason a date could be changed without losing any deposits would be military orders. The last point was, thankfully, not an issue for us, but had our wedding been a week later, SCI would've been under a foot of snow thanks to a freak snowstorm and we would've lost 90% of our guests. I would also critique the attentiveness from SCI in the planning process. With as much money as goes into a wedding there, we were expecting as much communication from them as we had from the other vendors: regular emails and phone calls, reminders when major deadlines were coming up, etc, but we never got them. We were given a checklist at the beginning, but no reminders after that. --- In the last month before the wedding, though, the minor frustrations melted away into appreciation for the fact that we weren't dealing with a half a dozen separate vendors, worrying about making all separate payments or delivery times and so on. Having the cake, caterer and all rentals included and having a florist on-site as well took a huge weight off our shoulders during the crazy and hectic last month. The day of the wedding, it was ALL worth it. I could not have asked for a better wedding, from having Barbara, my coordinator, there to make sure everything ran perfectly (which was a huge relief as my husband and I are both major worriers) to having incredibly attentive servers catering to myself and my wedding party from the moment we walked in to the prep room until cocktail hour was over, I didn't need to worry about anything but making it down the aisle and smiling for all of the pictures. At the reception, the same server from before was just as attentive to my husband and I, making sure we had time to eat and drink. It wasn't until the next day that I found out that the incredible service that we were getting was the exact same service that each and every one of my guests recieved, and that was a huge deal to me. The food was incredible, and I was told by a former wedding planner that after 20 years of planning and attending weddings, our cake was by far the best she'd ever had. I can't rave enough about SCI...they gave me the wedding of my dreams, and made my guests feel just as important as they made me feel. They have venues for just about any size wedding, and have countless extra services to choose from to give you exactly what you imagine for your own special day.

We had our wedding at Ridgecrest and it was absolutely the most beautiful place.
The food was outstanding and I have received nothing but compliments on everything. We had them do all the flowers also, and while a little pricey they worked with you very well and the quality is top notch.
Our wedding planners were excellent and outstanding. We had Corinne and Nicole. They were so accommodating and kind and really brought a lot of great suggestions and ideas to our wedding.
My only issues was with the flexibility of the venue. Our wedding started late due to some issues and they did not go late at all.

Everything else was Top Notch.

Stroudsmoor Country Inn was an unbelievable place to get married! The staff was wonderful and I received SOOO many compliments from my guests. The Stroudsmoor staff made our wedding day so special.

Great setting... several choices for wedding sites including views overlooking the mountain or in a fairy tale like setting in the woods. Pretty easy to organize, since they do so many. Accomadations right there, so guests don't have to drive home afterwards. Only downside is that it is a bit formulaic, hard to get to creative. They definitely have their rules, and you WILL abide by them

My wedding did turn out wonderful, and the workers were very nice during the day of my wedding. Although, they would not let me do a rehersal during the evening. So I didnt have one. My wedding planner left right after the ceremony. My mother paid for a room for us to stay in, but then when we went to check in, they said we never paid for it. Also, my wedding planner was very rude to me and my mother. There were a few other mishaps that happened. But overall, the wedding turned out good, and the facility was beautiful.

the food was amazing service was good but while you are planning your wedding don't run into financial harship b/c they won't work with you AT ALL. Over all thre wedding was good but they added alot more stress than needed the months leading up to the wedding.
