About Studio 8:28 Photography
What began as a hobby has become a passion with a purpose:
capturing your special moments and keeping your memories alive!
There are certain moments in life that you never want to forget, especially since life moves so fast. As a daughter, as a wife, as a mother, and a friend, Sara Townsend of Studio 8:28 Photography deeply understands the significance of keeping those memories alive—preserving those moments that make life so special. And that’s Sara’s passion and the purpose for Studio 8:28 Photography.
~Knowledge, Professionalism, Experience~
Beginning her creative career in graphic design, Sara sharpened her acuity in visual composition, gaining appreciation and understanding for lighting, color, and arrangement—telling a story with a single image.
With years of experience as a professional wedding, portrait, and freelance photographer, and even more as a hobbyist, Sara is extremely versatile and creative. She has developed her own unique style that’s warm, intimate and real, capturing the milestone events of your life and keeping those important memories alive.
Sara’s photos have been featured in Live Artfully, a magazine based on the Central Coast of California that celebrates the artistic lives and works of the region’s creative culture. She has also collaborated with Shari and Alan of Sonrisa Photography, fellow Central Coast wedding and portrait photographers. Sara was also asked to be on location during the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival (SLOIFF).
She has completed her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership in June of 2010, and with that education, she has developed a sense of structure, preparation, professionalism, and ethics, all of which she feels are very important and has already implemented these qualities into her own business.
Sara is assisted by her husband Phillip Townsend at each event to make sure you get the best experience. Not only does she enjoy the energy and excitement of the special moments she captures for you, she also cares deeply about people and giving them the best possible service. When you book Studio 8:28 Photography, it’s Sara’s personal goal to be on time, non-intrusive, friendly, professional, and to capture all the important memories you want to keep alive.
Sara would personally like to say, “I’m excited to work with you and feel honored to share in your special moments.”
