Studio One Naperville

We used Studio One Photography of Naperville at the recommendation of our friends who used them for their wedding earlier this year. They were responsive, helpful & very nice to work with. Once we chose the package we wanted, we signed the contract & made our payment with them. We were assigned to work with Joe Nelson, and as with our photographer, he immediately put me at ease about the wedding day as soon as I talked to him. I told him what I was looking for and he said it would be easy! The whole day of videoing was painless from our end, he was awesome to work with, such a cool and nice guy, very helpful too! The one negative was that for the amount we paid it did not include video editing, which I was hoping it would, however, there is an option to pay for editing by the hour if we should choose to add it.I highly recommend looking into Studio One for your wedding - they were excellent to work with, both on photo & video side!

Studio one Photography was not everything that I hoped for but I guess when you go for a low costing photographer you get what you pay for. My Photographer was a nice lady but she didnt call me back when she said she would or return my calls so the week of the wedding I didnt hear from her each time I called she was "busy" and they said that she would call me back but never did. So the day of the wedding I still had not heard from her and so that threw things off for the whole day. She also was not very polite to my family.

We went with Studio One since our needs were few and our budget was small. Heather was our photographer and she was wonderful. We were planning our wedding from Dallas and she was in touch with us from the get go to discuss what we wanted as far as pictures and what we did not want. We had specific needs and she met them. The day of the wedding she was on time, we actually were late so she was patient with us... haha... and since it was raining we could not do the pictures I wanted but she came up with a few alternatives that worked out well. She was also very patient with our families which can be like herding cats. She was very helpful right down to bustling my dress for me when the pictures were done. I have not seen the finished product yet but she showed me several pictures right after she took them on her camera... and they look beautiful. We are looking forward to seeing all the pictures and choosing which ones will go into our albums. We went with the smallest package which was 8 hours of photography for $599. The albums are additional but they offer a discount on them as well as any other prints you may order. So I have to say I feel we got our money's worth and the bonus is we met a really nice person. There was a little hump in the road with them switching our photographer last minute. But honestly Scott who was our photographer was very professional and sweet. We haven't viewed our photos yet but are very optimistic that they turned out great. It's a pain to get your photos taken after the ceremony everyone wants a picture with you, but our photographer made it less painful and was quick and efficient.

We had some problems when we first went with Studio one. We asked them who had a lot of experience with Jewish weddings and the owner sent us a snotty email saying it did not matter. Two coworkers had highly recommended them, so we went with them anyway. We picked Mike A because he had done 10 Jewish weddings before. We did receive our pictures within a few days, which was nice. Sadly, there are a ton of important pictures missing. When we called about why there were important missing pictures and a lot of the family photos had people blinking, we were basically told the photographer was having camera problems throughout the night. No compensation on our wedding book or free prints for the fact that there are things missing. We were told if we could find these pictures from other people, we could include those in our album. Um, no, I will make my album online instead of paying you $1000 to make it for me. I just felt really let down at the pictures.

Pavel did an amazing job! He listened to what we wanted and got some great shots. He even made sure little details that photographers have nothing to do with were taken care of (like instructing my MOH on how to bustle my dress!) He was fun and flexible and did a great job.

Heather was my photographer and she was great! She was very tentative to my requests and had much patience with getting everyone in the bridal party together for pictures. I can't wait to see them! Thank you!

We hired Studio One to do our wedding pictures and we have been happy with the results for sure. Ben was our photographer and my wife and I agree he did an excellent job. We did get a lot of pictures, over 1000 from a 45 person reception that went for 6 hours, pretty small but it came out well as there was a chance to get a lot of good shots of all our family and friends. We found the photography package to be very reasonably priced but the extras, including the purchase of the DVD and a photo album we thought were very high. So much so that we did not purchase an album and instead made our own online. All in all it was a good experience and specifically Ben did an excellent job and got some great shots throughout the night.

Studio One videographed our May wedding ceremony as this was the only place we could find that would tape just our ceremony for a REASONABLE price. The dvd came out good, and captured all that it should have. Our only complaint is that our videographer, Ken, was EXTREMELY unproffesional. First off, he brought his wife to our ceremony which I thought was very tacky. Then as we were exiting the church, he was so concerned on taping the big exit that he completely forgot where he was stepping and ended up planting his feet on my train. This caused me to almost trip and rip my dress. Needless to say, I was ticked off! I am glad we got the dvd we wanted, but will not be recommending studio one to anyone.

DON'T DO IT! I'm soooo unhappy with my pictures. I'm not normally one to complain but my pictures were horrible, and when I finally got to see them and I addressed my concerns they only made me more angry. I have so many problems with my pictures and they haven't provided me with any reasonable insight as to why so many things went wrong with my pictures. 1. The photographer left at 9:30, my reception ended at 11:00 he was supposed to be there till 10:30. 2. The photograher told my husband he took 3300 pictures he really took roughly 2k pictures. 3. There is an almost 3 hour gap between our post ceremony pictures and the speeches, there there was about 10 pictures taken. They can't tell me where the photographer was...I know he was at the reception hall with us, I was there, I was talking to him. Yet, he didn't take any pictures during my cocktail reception. 4. There is a limited number of me and my husband. 5. He missed major parts of the ceremony (readers) I have one reader who has NO photographs. 6. The told me at the last minute that I had a second photographer, they sold it to me how great that was and that i'd get more pictures. Then after, when I had all the problems with my photos they told me that it could be because the photographer was training the new girl and it took away from my wedding instead of adding!! 7. The had the nerve to ask me what I excepted to get out of my complaints of my photos. I told them, I don't wish to get anything out of it. Unless they want to re-do my entire wedding, nothing can make up for the fact that they provided a horrible service to a 1 time event and unless I can get all of those pictures I wanted taken there really isn't anything anyone can do...This is just a few of the major problems that I have with Studio One!

We had Joe B for our engagement pictures, and after 2 rain-outs, we went for it for a 3rd day while the sun was still out. We really only liked a handful of pictures from the day and ordered only one, so far. Some of the angles were kind of awkward or unflattering, but to be fair, the weather was not great for long hair (humid, rainy) for a long day of pictures.We used Jason for our wedding day and heard nothing but fabulous compliments about him from our guests. He was very energetic, which helped ME stay on task and excited for the nerve-wracking pre-ceremony part of walking down the aisle!! Jason was clear in what he needed from me the day before in a 45 minute phone interview, and it gave us a chance to tell him what we wanted to be seeing for sure in our final products. Jason worked with our DJ to "corral" the big fam for a giant photo on the dance floor before the party was underway, so we are excited to see it!!Working with the staff via email was easiest with all of the vendors and appointments going on, sometimnes the hours of operation were tough and doing our engagement photos on a Saturday were hard, but we got it done.I would recommend Jason for your wedding day, he definitely worked hard all day, running around and getting all of the little shots we plan to see in our album!!!

Studio One Naperville Photography is awesome. My husband and I were able to choose the photographer of our choice and he was awesome. I would recommend Pavel to anyone. He was personable, helpful, and creative. Right from the beginning he was so nice and captured everything from the beginning. With all his wedding experience he also helped me with little tips through out the day even non photography related. He really went out of his way to help me and make sure everything went smoothly for us. I had many people approach me expressing how they loved my photographer. And the most important part, my pictures are breathtaking. He has captured moments in such different ways that I am so lucky to have for a lifetime. Also he had such creative diffrent ideas that I love. You will be very pleased with Pavel, Studio One Naperville.

I decided to give Studio One a chance despite a friend that used them telling me they were not pleased with their photography or videography services. My photographer was Jason and he was very nice and professional. The biggest problem I am having is that I do not think I have very many good pictures, and have not one picture of my husband and me to even use on our Thank You notes. I also called to ask if I could digitally use one of my photos from my engagement session for Holiday Cards and I was told no. I live out of town so could not order from their website and get everything out in time, and their cards are about $1.50 more per card than ordering from Walgreens. I was even willing to pay for the digital picture! I am very disappointed with how few pictures I have from my special day that I really like, but am hoping the videography services I purchased from a separate vendor will make up for them.

Lou H was our photographer out of Naperville. He was amazing! Totally fun and got amazing shots of us even though we were running low on light outside....we would send anyone to Studio One we know. We had fun knowing our photographer was having fun shooting us. He was like a Ninja! We were having moments and he was right there to capture them. Thank you for everything!

Studio One was great. First our engagement session was comfortable, laid back and relaxing. My husband is very camera shy and isn't a "great poser" but our pictures came out great. On our wedding day Jason had such a great energy, was very up beat and after looking at our pictures seems to have been at all the right places at the right time. I'd use and recommend their studio again!

Jason took our pictures on our wedding day and they turned out great! He got all the shots we wanted and took several others that also turned out nice! He was on time and worked with us even though things were hetic at times! He even called me a couple days before to talk about what kind of pictures I wanted! We also choose studio one not only for the quality of the pictures, but also for their prices! They have a variety of packages at various price levels so you get great quality for a great price! I am so happy and would recommend Studio One and Jason to anyone!

Matt was absolutely the best! He arrived right on time...which we weren't! He was very patient with everyone running around and he still had time to catch some fabulous pictures. He was very professional and everyone loved him. He had a good eye for some really great shots and we couldn't have been happier with the him!

Joe B. took out photos, he is wonderful! Their whole team is great-professional, responsive, and they truly seemed to care about us and our wedding. So much to choose from too, lots of packages in every price range and any style you may prefer.

I absolutely would recommend Studio One to anyone, however my husband & I would not recommend one photographer in particular. We had several issues with the photographer, but Joe took care of us....his company is amazing!

We hired Studio One Photography for our wedding day. I am a little disappointed with our pictures. The pictures we have look great with some amazing outdoor portraits. But almost all of the pictures are posed and unimaginative. I would have liked more pictures of our friends during the cocktail hour and dancing at the reception. They were reasonably priced and the quality is fine, just overall nothing spectacular.

I chose Studio One because they had the most reasonable price I could find in the area. The photographer was very hands-on at the wedding; she directed everyone where and how to stand, and where and how to look. Subsequently, the pictures came out beautifully. She used different techniques to get different styles of pictures. She took many different poses which gave us a wide variety of styles and pictures from which to choose. Additionally, she worked very quickly and stayed on task to keep everyone moving. Our wedding album was completed within days and looked great, as well. After seeing pictures from weddings who used a different photographer, I would use Studio One every time!

We paid a rate for a 12 hour service, but told them we didn't need them for the whole 12 hours... photographer was late due to traffic per his statement. Had to take many pictures in front of our arriving guests. He took alot of pictures quickly within the time he was there. We paid for the rights immediately and had someone else make the album with those pictures. Wouldn't suggest this vendor.

Definitely the cheapest around, but you get what you pay for. Many of our pictures were taken from weird angles, or had weird lighting where someone ended up completely in shadows or with an odd glare or with part of their heads missing. Even so, we went through the proofs and picked out a pretty decent album, in theory. Except they messed up the order of the pictures and put the wrong pictures in several of the pages. I don't know why they thought I would want the exact same picture on consecutive pages, but that's what I got. I called and they were very receptive to my complaints but could not figure out which pictures were supposed to have been ordered. I went through the paperwork (definitely save it) and listed off which pictures I was supposed to get. They sent me the wrong pictures. After doing this 3 times, I finally got the right pictures a little over a year later. I also got some large pictures where the bridal party had bright red eyes (you couldn't tell in the proofs because they were so small). Again, the company was very receptive to my complaints and fixed the issue.
After the wedding, when my sister-in-law found out what company I'd gone with, she said, "If I'd known you were going with Studio One, I would have warned you." I still give the vendor 3 stars, because they were definitely the cheapest, I got several good pictures, and I ultimately got what I ordered.

Our photographer was chosen mainly because my husband is a huge Chicago Bears fan and we found out quickly that they shot for Ditka's son's wedding! Go figure! We appreciate our photographer though...young, energetic and willing to listen to what we were interested in for our shots. We were able to obtain a DVD of our photos as well to make our own duplicates...along with engagement photos included in the package.

If you are looking for a photography studio that does not cost that much, offers a lot of extras and has plenty of helpful staff this is the place to go. My wedding pictures turned out beautifully, I had trouble deciding which ones top pick

I LOVED using Studio One. The photographer we had was AMAZING. Everyone loved my pictures and some of my friends even booked him for their own weddings. The staff at the Studio was very nice and very willing to work with us regarding our budget and what we wanted. We got EXACTLY what we wanted.

The location of Studio One that we used (Palatine) has disbanded. There are a few other Studio-One locations. We loved Studio One. They helped us every step of the way. Studio One gave us a checklist to be sure they took all the pictures we wanted. Our photographer was very sensitive to my parents, who are divorced so that no one felt at all uncomfortable or isolated. The picture and album packages were generous and my album is the envy of several of my friends who were unable to book with Studio One.

Joe is the best! Helpful and very professional!
