Stunning Stems

Stacey was amazing! I didn't have a very good idea of what I wanted in terms of florals but knew what colors I wanted to work with. Stacey's creativity and vision blew me away! She gave me all the best flowers for my budget and her designs were STUNNING. She hit the nail right on the head with regards to what I wanted. In addition, she was very flexible to change. I kept going back and forth on how many of each item I wanted and little changes here and there. Not once did I get the vibe that she was frustrated or annoyed. She happily accommodated my changes and executed them perfectly! The results were fabulous! Everyone at my wedding praised how beautiful the flowers were! So beautiful that they proceeded to take them home without asking!

We chose our wedding location in Sebastopol as it was an area we often visited from East Bay and enjoyed with our local friends; and we wanted to share it with our “mostly out-of-town guests. The event setting was already pretty incredible, an old apple orchard surrounded by fields of grapes; so getting a florist able to complement and not compete with the natural beauty was going to be a challenge, but we found someone truly up to the task in Stacey, the owner of Stunning Stems.
We met with her several times before the wedding, looking at colors and photos of different flowers and arrangements. She came up with incredible arrangements, innovative table displays of flowers, candles and artistic glass pieces, and even built our wedding canopy (Chuppah) to our specifications.
She has an uncanny ability to put together combinations of flowers and fabrics and candles and glass; that brought an already spectacular setting to a whole new level.

Stacey was magnificent. Her creativity and eye for design exceeded our expectations. My fiance and I were planning a rustic, yet elegant, outdoor lake wedding using yellow and eggplant. The only flower request I had was to incorporate blue thistle. Stacey showed me lots of photos of flowers that would compliment my colors and floral designs. I just loved the picasso lily! Everyone at the wedding couldn't get over the "stunning" flowers and even a local florist driving by the venue commented to a guest on how amazing the flowers looked! Stacey was very easy to work with and she was there to see that every detail was taken care of. We were extremely happy with her work and I highly recommend her services to any bride.

Stacey is fantastic! She is so creative and enthusiastic. She just did all of the flower arrangements for my wedding: centerpieces, floral cake topper and decorations, bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and trellis. They were truly stunning!!

The moms loved their corsages and the bouquets were gorgeous. She totally nailed it! Most importantly, Stacey worked within my budget to create incredible beauty.

When I met with her, she showed me a mock up arrangement that she liked for me and was more than willing to change things around. We had constant email correspondence, and she was so sweet and always willing to help. She made all of the set up on the day go very smoothly. Stacey was instrumental in making my wedding beautiful, and I'm so grateful that I had the chance to work with her.

That's all you could hear as my friends, family, and guests looked over the decor that Stacey put together the day of the wedding! Everyone thought the work she did was outstanding (and I think pictures speak volumes so I will try to post some on here, and on Yelp) and my husband and I became flower lovers (when we were originally indifferent - who knew!)

I had the luck of reaching out to Stacey at Stunning Stems on a whim. I prepared a basic email explaining my limited budget (just under $1,500) and the needs for my large bridal party (myself, 6 bridesmaids, 3 flowergirls, 1 MOB, 1 MOG, 1 Aunt; my groom, 1 FOG, 1 FOB and 6 groomsmen) along with those for the ceremony (1 large arch-decorated) and reception space (10-15 indoor tables and quite a few outdoor). When I say that MOST florists were rude or unresponsive - it would be an UNDERSTATEMENT! Most are not interested in even responding when you start with a limited budget, and the few that did weren't very thorough and didn't make me feel like they wanted my business at all... While it may not be much to them - this was hard earned money that my husband and I had saved and we didn't want to waste it.

This was NOT the case with Stacey! She treated me as if I was her most important customer from day 1! In fact, she was able to flawlessly step in to ask the questions I hadn't considered, intuitively anticipate my design aesthetic with little direction, and to consistently deliver a well thought out proposal that made me drool with delight each time I received it!

I was a long distance bride (planned a CA wedding from N. VA - believe me it wasn't fun!), but with Stacey's level of responsiveness, it felt like we were co-located. She delivers estimates and proposals through email which include inspirational photo mock-ups of what your bouquets, decorations and centerpieces will look like. She includes information about the flowers that would be included as well! I couldn't believe how thorough she was - I still don't know how she does it!

When I was out in CA for Christmas, I met her at her studio to see a mock-up of our High centerpieces and I was FLOORED! The fact that she could create something so beautiful on such a limited budget was insane! She also took me to the flower market so that we could confirm the flowers I liked and didn't like, and she made sure to adjust my florals accordingly (I wanted bright sunshiney-yellow, not soft buttery yellow) - Stacey knew the difference and eliminated every element that she thought I wouldn't like!

On the days leading up to the wedding, I realized that Stacey had become more of a friend than a vendor (isn't that what you REALLY need when your wedding is driving you nuts?) She was able to step in where she needed to with little guidance, be persistent (but not annoying) when I went off the radar, revamp my entire estimate based on a venue change within the last week, and even add individual rhinestones to my escort cards when I realized I had left myself too many projects in the days leading up the wedding... My bridesmaids didn't do it - my florist did! What a GEM!

Now I will be 100% upfront and say that ultimately I ended up spending above my originally stated range, but the upgrades were worth every penny. I knew what I was paying for, and the pricing was more than reasonable. There were no hidden amounts, and her invoices were all that I owed - no hidden fees.

Stacey and her team live up to its name and will be my number 1 go to for any future floral needs! I could go on and on, but I won't - just make sure she is at the top of your list of florists for your wedding or special occasion - you won't regret it!

I met with several florist before finally hiring Stacey to do our wedding ceremony and reception centerpieces and none of them had the excitement and enthusiasm to work with us like she did. During our first meeting she brought plenty of samples and had great ideas, right away I knew I wanted to work with her. The final result was above and beyond what I had expected. The centerpieces were beautiful and it gave our wedding the extra touch of sophistication.

I absolutely LOVED working with Stacey. Of all the people I was matched with at weddingwire.com, she gave me a phone call, then sent me an email with a bunch of ideas and directions I could go with for my florals. I didn't have too many ideas yet and that extra effort made me hire her. I loved how professionally she handled my invoices and conducted each meeting. She took my ideas (rosemary and herbs) and wove them into something beautiful. I was amazed at the how much I got for how much I paid. I had heard that florals would cost me an insane amount, but it was so reasonable (then again, I used a single flower for centerpieces and had no other reception/ceremony florals).

At the wedding, she labeled each bouquet, boutonniere, and corsage with the person's name. There was one hiccup: my mom's corsage was supposed to be a wrist corsage but wasn't. Stacy asked for five minutes and made that pin on into a wrist corsage!

My photographer loved the flowers too- said they really complimented my skin tone (something I hadn't even thought of).

Stacey is a true visionary. She created the most breathtaking and unique flower arrangements for my Las Vegas themed bridal shower. I really did not have any specific requests and the flowers she chose were phenomenal and right in line with my color theme. I almost wish that I had planned a local San Francisco wedding so she could have done those flowers too:)

I highly recommend Stacy to any all brides looking for a great value, outstanding customer service/responsiveness and an unique creative flair.
