I was not very excited about flowers until after I met with Melissa. I didn't do huge amounts of flowers for decor but the flowers I did do were gorgeous and different. Working with Melissa was a great experience. She is very sweet, knowledgeable, and professional. Being a new bride, she completely understands the little stresses and nuances of planning a wedding. She also worked within my budget and gave me pricing with different options which I thought was great. I really wanted peonies and other florists might have said "ok sure." Melissa was able to get me a few but she informed me right away that it would be very costly so she wouldn't do my whole bouquet with them. I appreciated her honestly and openness about that. I would recommend her to all brides!

Melissa's work is absolutely wonderful. The flowers were AMAZING.... The bouquets were incredible, the centerpieces, the place card table flowers, the chuppah, the flowers by the chuppah, the cocktail hour flowers, even the flowers in the bathroom- incredible. It’s not easy to find amazing vendors for any event, but now that all the stress is over I can easily say I was lucky to have Stylish Booms as one of the most memorable parts of my wedding team. We really had an all star team of vendors for our wedding. Melissa from Stylish Blooms LOVES what she does...and it is so evident in her work. We met with her and she was even in the midst of planning her own wedding, but she still was on the ball. She is priced so well, and she just took our ideas and ran with them. My bouquet was absolutely breathtaking...it held up extremely well!! So did the bridesmaids bouquets. Just GORGEOUS. We had bracelet corsages for Moms and Grammas and those were gorgeous! Even up to the last minute, my Mom called her and requested some church decor for the ceremony, and Melissa rocked that too. We had her make like 15 boutonnieres (large family!) and when she brought them to the church, she even went as far as to pin them on the guys (since some of them had put them on incorrectly!) It says a lot about someone when you describe an idea and they can match what you're thinking...and then go 10 steps further to make it that much more spectacular. Our centerpieces were gorgeous. We got so many compliments on the flowers for the day. Melissa is awesome, and I definitely recommend her!!

I’m so happy with our choice in going with Melissa at Stylish Blooms. She was so great and the flowers were gorgeous! She responded to all of my emails very quickly and was extremely helpful. Not to mention, she’s very affordable. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. All of the bouquets and arrangements lasted well through the night and still looked great days later. I had asked to have orchids for my hair flowers, and she not only created the hair arrangement, but she also surprised me by adding a lot of them to my bouquet at no additional charge. Plus, she threw in a few extra stephanotis flowers that we were able to put in the bridesmaids’ hair. Also, we created our own centerpieces (floating candle with a flower in the vase), and were going to go pick up the flowers from her so we could put them together. However, she instead offered to take care of cutting and placing the flowers, filling the vases with water, and putting the candle in them when she dropped everything off at the venue. This took a lot of stress off of us the day of!

Melissa exceeded my expectations and then some.

The theme of my wedding was sort of vintage by the sea. She made me these incredible bouquets with light pink and butter yellow roses and peonies. They looked so pretty and romantic like out of a watercolor painting. Our centerpieces, hydrangeas, were also so gorgeous that our guests argued over who would get take them home. I had so many compliments from my guests, staff at our venue, and our wedding photographer who said they were best floral arrangements she'd ever seen. Which says a lot.

Not only does Melissa's work shine but she is the most incredible person to work with. She gets right back to you, is easy to talk to, professional and most of all can hear what your ideas are and then take it to a new level. Not to mention the fact she jumps through hoops to give you what you want, and make your day special. You know when you book her you're in great hands.

Melissa is fantastic! She is so kind and creative. We worked out a style, color and flowers at our first meeting. Then two months before my wedding, my ideas had changed. We met again, and I basically changed everything except my main color- she had not a single problem with this and was eager to work with me! We had decided on mums for the centerpieces because they would be cheaper and more likely in bloom for my wedding, even though I had originally wanted dahlias. Apparently, when she got the mums they were in pink (the one color I hate!) so she decided to order me some dahlias overnight from California. They were beautiful purples and purple/white colors, unbelievable! I was so excited to have them (she put some in my bouquet too). She didn't charge me extra for any of this, which was so nice of her! Melissa also brought my flowers early so I could have the bouquets for the first look, which I'm so grateful for. She left us extra flowers for the centerpieces just incase we needed them, which was so kind of her! Over all, Melissa is a fantastic person and a very talented florist- I definitely recommend her!

I was beyond happy with my florist! Melissa is wonderful to work with! She is so nice and very responsive. Any time I emailed her with a question or an update to my order she responded in less than 24 hours (Most the time within 12 hours).

Besides colors, I had no idea what I wanted and what to expect with flowers but Melissa listened to me and provided tons of suggestions. All the flowers from the bouquets to the boutonniere were beautiful. Most impressive was the flower arrangement Melissa put on the arch at our ceremony. It was so bright and gorgeous and it took my breath away! I received so many compliments on my flowers and they were all well deserved.

When Melissa came up to my bridal suite with the bouquets, tears came to my eyes. My flowers were absolutely perfect. They were everything I dreamed of and more. Melissa paid attention to every detail I asked of her and spent the time to get to know me to better understand what type of person I was to incorporate that into the flowers. If I had missed some detail I forget to mention, it was as if she instinctively knew my taste and what to do.

Melissa did the flowers for our February wedding and I could not have been happier!!! She was amazingly responsive, flexible, understanding, and talented. I was planning the wedding from out-of-state and ended up picking out all the flowers, vases, candles, and ribbons over the phone and via e-mail. I also wanted to incorporate the handkerchief my grandmother used on her wedding and a brooch into my bouquet. I ended up mailing the items to Melissa and let her decide how best to use them. Melissa is amazing! Our first meeting was at a local starbucks and she brought ribbons in my colors as well as many different pictures. She is full of ideas and can give you many examples of different styles to try. She is extremely good about responding back. I don’t exactly know how to start this review, with all the happiness and ease I have had with working with Melissa on designing my wedding flowers. Melissa is not only an amazing florist she is also an amazing person with a kind heart, a visionary with use of colors and textures and genuine spirit for brides, and their visions. Melissa designed my wedding reception flowers with my love of bright colors and the outcome was perfect, it match my laid back theme perfectly. She also designed my cascade bouquet to meet my needs with being light in weight and easy to hold. She did this by adding a ribbon in the back so if my hands tired, I could just let the bouquet rest on my wrist and no one would see the ribbon or notice the difference, it worked like a charm. Melissa is also very flexible and quick with design modification to suit everyone’s need, she is a flower magician. The quality of flowers Melissa used to create my wedding flowers have been complimented from the moments people saw them and even others in the profession have asked about her work because they have never seen such quality of work with flowers. I got married when Irene wanted to sweep Western Mass off the face of the earth =) and I was so worried about vendors cancelling. Not Melissa she was great! She worked with me on everything! I went to numerous florist and i thought having flowers was never going to happen. But Melissa made it happen in my budget. She worked hard to get me what i wanted. She made 3 different mock ups for centerpieces for me and i loved what i ended with on the final day. My girls bouquets lasted for two weeks after even with the horrible weather that we had the day of the wedding. The person who even delivered the bouquets took her shoes off! haha might seem small but in an Italian household it's a big thing. Love everything about my flowers and the professionalism

I don't think I could say enough positive things about Stylish Blooms. I went with Melissa based upon her amazing reviews from past brides. I knew that she had to be good, but I didn't fully understand it until my wedding day. I was absolutely blown away by her work. My groom was able to get a sneak peek of our wedding reception area and he was brought to tears by how beautiful everything was. I really don't think anything could have been more perfect.

The flowers were absolutely beautiful. They were exactly what I was looking for! I was a little vague at first on what I wanted, but Melissa was able to figure it out perfectly. Even some of the bridesmaids commented that they were the best bridesmaid bouquets they ever had to carry!

Where to begin? I didn't have a clue about flowers and wasn't sure where to begin searching for a florist for my June wedding. Last year a friend recommended I reach out to Melissa. I took one look at her website photo gallery and knew I wanted to work with her BUT her calendar was booked on my wedding date. I had already sent her an email before seeing her calendar and she responded immediately (after 10pm to boot) to find out more information. After providing her more info she noted that the venue was close to her location and that she would be able to squeeze me in. I think she may have had two other weddings that day, so I was thankful.

Melissa offered to come my way and meet me at a local Starbucks, which was convenient. I really didn't have a clue what flowers I wanted, I just knew that I wanted the colors to pop. She had a ton of stuff with her to show me - color swatches, electronic photos, vase samples and lots of flower books. After we talked through everything I realized that I wouldn't really know what my flowers were going to look like until the day of the wedding. Now, I'm a control nut. So, it say's a lot that I put my trust in Melissa. It is evident after one conversation, from her daily FB posts, from her photo gallery and from all the prior bride reviews that Melissa is passionate about her work and she may even be more detail oriented than I am. So, while it made me uneasy not knowing what I would get I did totally trust Melissa.

I'll just quickly note that her prices are incredibly competitive and affordable.

Fast forward - after several months had passed I started to think that I may need some floral arrangements for other parts of the venue (ex, fireplace mantel) that I had not thought about or considered when we first met. I reached out to Melissa to let her know that I was going to revisit the venue to figure out what I might need and that I'd be in touch. To my pleasure and surprise, Melissa offered to meet me there to help me out. And I have to point out that she did meet me there after breaking her toe (I believe) and came to the venue in an air cast AND had to be driven there because she was not able to drive. Is that dedication and great customer service or what?

Then, a couple of weeks before the wedding I let Melissa know that I wanted to include a photo pendant of my grandmother on my bouquet. I was just going to send it to her, but she offered to meet me as she was delivering flowers nearby. When I met her she handed me a beautiful arrangement of flowers in all the colors we had discussed for my wedding. She commented that most brides do not get to enjoy their flowers because everyone takes them at the end of the night and she let me know that she put together the arrangement for me to enjoy before the wedding. I was totally bowled over - it was so thoughtful. And the flowers were GORGEOUS!!!

The day of the wedding all of the flowers were delivered to the venue. So I actually did not get to see them until immediately prior to walking down the aisle. Words cannot describe how perfectly Melissa captured my vision. The flowers were stunning! Simply amazing. My bridal party and the venue looked beautiful.

I am not one to give praise unless it is due. And in the case of Stylish Blooms it is well deserved. You cannot go wrong with Melissa. She is an honorable and dedicated small business owner. She clearly puts her heart in to each and every arrangement, bouquet, centerpiece, corsage and bouttoniere she creates.

Melissa was amazing. Out of all of the vendors I used for my wedding she was the only one I did not need to micromanage or worry about. I gave her a budget and her proposal wound up being several hundred dollars under my budget! She is incredibly good at what she does and is easy to work with - I didn't really know what I wanted and so I gave her a lot of creative freedom and everything came out beautifully. I didn't need to think twice about anything flower-related on the day of, which was so wonderful considering how stressful things get.

Melissa was always happy to help with ideas, even for other aspects of the wedding. She went well above and beyond with willingness to help and accommodate new requests.

In addition to the flowers for the entire wedding, she also provided a beautiful chuppah which was worth every penny!

Melissa was far and wide my favorite vendor to work with throughout my entire planning process. She was so easy to work with, and is just a really great person all around.

Melissa was always flexible with meeting times, and always responded quickly. She was one of the only vendors that actually impressed my husband. We had met with 2 other florists in their actual shops before contacting Stylish Blooms, and neither of them had shown us any samples whatsoever. We met Melissa in a Starbucks and she hauled in a bucket of flowers and a suitcase of books to show us pictures of her work and give us examples of floral design. We were so wowed at our consult that we knew we had to work with her.

She was very respectful of our budget, and gave us great advice on how to keep our flowers beautiful and budget friendly. We were provided a very detailed itemized estimate, and she had no problem with us tweaking things a little bit later (we booked her way far out from the wedding so some things had changed when we got closer). She was also the least expensive of all the florists we met with, however, I feel this is because she was the most helpful in suggesting ways to cut costs. For example, I had planned on having centerpieces of pink hydrangea, because I know nothing about flowers and thought they were cheap and took up a lot of space. She let me know that pink hydrangea are actually quite expensive, so we replaced them with a mix of pink flowers instead. It's things like this that she was very willing to help us with, while the other florists offered no help in creating flowers that were both our style and something we could afford.

A few days before the wedding, she called me to say that she was worried she wouldn't be able to get the flowers I had wanted due to crop damages. I told her I trusted her to replace them with whatever flowers she felt would look good with the rest of the bouquets. She actually ended up driving to Boston to find my flowers there since she couldn't get them through her regular local distributors. She also sent me pictures of the flowers to make sure they would be okay.

The day of the wedding she delivered the flowers herself to the hotel and the reception hall. She brought them exactly on time, and had them all in buckets of water to keep them fresh while we finished getting ready. My flowers were so beautiful, I couldn't stop looking at them. I showed her 1 picture and clumsily described my vision to her at the consult, and she matched it better than I could have ever imagined in my mind. She truly is a master at her craft, and I got so many compliments on them. Everyone was arguing over who got to take home the centerpieces, because of how pretty they were!

I have already recommended Stylish Blooms to several friends who are engaged, and I will continue to do so. Melissa was simply wonderful to work with, and I'm so happy we chose her. I wouldn't have entrusted our flowers to anyone else.

My Husband and I had been working with Melissa on the Flowers for our Wedding for about a year and a half. In that year and a half, we added tables, added bridal party members, added extra vases of flowers randomly...changed bouquet ideas...And all the while she was accomidating and never had a problem with anything I wanted to change. I had her make corsages for all of our Aunts to honor them, and make them feel special, I had 7 Bridesmaids, 2 mothers, 5 groomsmen and 2 "fathers", and 2 ring bearers...she also did 2 arrangements for the church, and I believe 18 Centerpieces. She had her work cut out for her, and she did an absolutely AMAZING job. I would not change anything, it was absolutely perfect, the flowers looked amazing ALL day, and by the end of this process she was not just my florist she was my friend. My absolutely favorite part of my Wedding Day flowers was my Bridal Bouquet...It was over 30 Cymbidium Orchids with loops of grass and Crystals throughout. I was stunned when I saw it, it was absolutley breathtaking. We also added a small photo frame of my deceased grandfather to the handle of my bouquet. Overall, I was so unbelieveabley pleased with her that I have already recommended to her to two friends one that got married last June and had Melissa do her flowers, and a friend getting married in a week who is using her. I will continue to recommend her to anyone I know! Thank you Melissa for such an incredible job on my flowers!

Melissa is a true rockstar! The beginning of my wedding day started off a bit rocky but Melissa made sure everything was perfect. Due to the addition of a BM and GM late in the planning, we were one set of flowers short for the guys and girls, but Melissa came to the rescue and pulled together a matching pair that no one would ever know wasn't already planned for.

On top of that, the unexpected hot weather combined with my late limo caused my flowers to wilt, when Melissa saw this, she waited for us at the reception and gave my flowers new life, and they were once again incredible.

Everything was exactly as I had imagined it and I can't imagine having chosen anyone other than Melissa to create my perfect wedding flowers.

Stylish Blooms just did our flowers for our reception. Melissa was a pleasure to work with, relaxed, professional and very talented. The price was right, and we were thrilled with the results. Everyone thought the flowers were gorgeous and unique... just what we wanted!!

After having a negative experience meeting with a potential florist, whose flowers I loved but business practices I did not, I was slightly apprehensive about meeting with more vendors. Melissa put me right at ease during our first phone call with a few short stories about her services to other brides and her cheerfulness - which is apparent right away! When we met she was very patient and responsive to both my questions and indecisiveness as well as my Mother's wants - the flowers were VERY important to my Mom so I really appreciated how well Melissa worked with her.

She put together a few "mock ups" to get an idea of the shape and colors of the bouquets and centerpieces we wanted and stayed in contact throughout the process with ideas and suggestions. I had originally planned on finding vase filler myself (before I realized how much work went into planning a wedding!) but Melissa anticipated my needs and came up with a FANTASTIC idea - cranberries - and spent, probably much more time than she even let on, figuring out how to keep them weighted down. I needed to add another centerpiece towards the end of our planning process and Melissa was more than accommodating. When our cake vendor called shortly before the wedding and asked about our topper (which I totally forgot about) Melissa provided flowers for that as well.

Without giving her much to go on (I was pretty clueless about what flowers I wanted and had only a vague idea of the style I was looking to accomplish) Melissa worked with us to get to an amazing final "masterpiece" if you will. When the bouquets arrived at the house the day of the wedding I loved them! When we got to the church I was absolutely BLOWN away by the arrangements, and the centerpieces at the reception were stunningly elegant - exactly what I had wanted!

Melissa got everything there on time and looking beautiful - even MORE of an accomplishment considering there was a HUGE snowstorm (10 to 12 inches by the end of the night!!) the day we were married!

I should also mention (since I know this is an important part in planning) that she was great working with our budget. Her total was less than the estimate of the other florist I had met with, and was MORE flowers, centerpieces and bouquets! I honestly cannot say enough about Melissa, not only is her work absolutely fabulous, she is a wonderful person. I had a dream for my wedding...tons of red roses...EVERYWHERE. I looked at a few different florists. They all basically told me this was impossible to achieve with the budget I had. I also wanted to have a Chuppah (a wedding canopy) because I was having an interfaith wedding. The prices the other florists wanted was upwards of $800 (just for the chuppah)!!! Melissa was a god send to me! She said we could achieve all the red roses and the chuppah (she actually made the chuppah, thats how awesome she is) for a fraction of what the other florists wanted. My bouquets, centerpieces and even my heart wreath for the door of the venue turned out absolutley stunning! I recieved sooo many compliments on the flowers and how "couture" they looked. I have no doubt in my mind that in a short while from now Stylish Blooms will be THE florist everyone will want to their wedding and I'll be proud to say that Stylish Blooms did mine!!! After talking with a few different florists for my wedding, I got discouraged. Many didn't seem to want to work with my budget, but that wasn't the case with Melissa. She gave me more than I ever thought I could afford. Her work is beyond amazing, and yet, she's still so affordable. Melissa did an amazing job on our flowers for our Sept 19th wedding!!! She delivered all the flowers to our venue, and waited for me to get there to make sure I was happy with everything. I truly appreciate everything she did. She added such romance and elegance to my wedding thanks to her flowers and decor.

Melissa was incredible! She was so easy to work with, I told her I loved fall colors and big flowers, she took that and about a million pictures that I showed her and came up with the most amazing bouquets and floral arrangements. We bought most of our own center pieces and she put them all together for us. She was prompt with all flower deliveries and even offered to stay through the ceremony and bring our alter flowers to the reception for reuse. After our honeymoon, she even returned to my house to pick up the containers that we had borrowed from her. She is very creative and attentive to detail. I would reccomend her services to anyone. If I ever have another event where I need flowers, Melissa will be the first person that I call.

She even made personalized boxes for the special guests who took centerpieces home as a gift. I recommended a dear friend who was wedding planning out of state to use Stylish Blooms in 2011. Even though they never met in person until the day of the wedding - she was thrilled with the planning process and the end result! I've gone back for a friend's bridal shower flowers as well. Stylish Blooms is most definitely the go-to florist for Connecticut brides and brides to be.

Melissa gave us a great price on all of our flowers (Gerbera daisies mostly) for our wedding on July 24, 2010. When I first met with her, she even brought samples of her flowers and did mockups right in front of me of my bouquet and the centerpieces. She was super quick to respond to emails and phone calls the months before our wedding, and she even text messaged me progress pics of her building the centerpieces and when the flowers were delivered. She delivered bouquets to my parents house), the boys flowers and the church arrangements to the church, and all the centerpieces to the reception venue, which was about 40 min from the first two places. I probably didn’t choose the best flowers to be had on a 90-95 degree, 100% humidity day in CT, but I think they faired pretty well. My bouquet was amazing and so were the bridesmaids. We had a few flower snafus that morning (a corsage and boutonniere fell apart but were able to be rigged back together, and one of the rubber bands holding a pew decoration on broke, but was replaced), but nothing that was a show-stopper and was easily remedied by my mom and the boys. The ceremony flowers were gorgeous and she brought my mason jar/Gerbera daisy centerpiece ideas to perfection. Everything was exactly how I had imagined it, even better!!! Melissa was a sweetheart and really knows her stuff.

From the minute we met and sat down with Melissa, owner of Stylish Blooms, I KNEW that we were in good hands. I had a few general ideas as to a few flowers that I was leaning towards, but didn't know what to pair them with, or which were in season for July. I felt like Melissa picked up on our personal style as a couple, and really listened to the questions and comments we had.

She has a tremendous amount of experience, and came to our meeting prepared with tons of photos of arrangements, bouquets, even jewelry that she had created in the past. She channeled all of that experience and creativity into ideas for Brian and I, and the result was amazing.

She does her work in Connecticut, and we live in Massachusetts - yet every time we wanted to meet with her, she made it happen. She makes herself available to her clients each and every time. At any given moment, she may have a dozen clients for whom she is creating something, but you will feel like every ounce of attention is on you and your flowers.

We had done some research on the cost of flowers for a somewhat traditional wedding, and were prepared for a much higher price than Melissa gave us. All in all, she wowed us with her professionalism, availability and responsiveness, and the cost of the arrangements.

And finally, and very importantly, the flowers were breathtaking. Five bouquets, eight boutineers, two corsages, thirteen centerpieces, and two flawless arrangements later, my husband and I were so incredibly happy that we had Melissa to take care of our flowers. Looking at the pictures of the evening, the flowers were that perfect touch, making the event so beautiful. Absolutely perfect.
