Carlos, the owner of Suarez, is a hoot and such a pleasure to work with. Not being cake lovers, we opted for pies and pastries for our wedding day. Carlos was even able to make a family recipe pie of my grandmother's without hesitation (no other vendor would do this). We had 17 pies total, including the family recipe, apple and pecan. Carlos and team also put together an assortment of pastries for our guests to take home as favors. In addition, Carlos and team made an Appalachian State groomsman cake for my retired App football player husband, that even included a helmet with his # on it and scanned action shots of him playing ON THE CAKE! All desserts were beyond delicious and very affordable for the large quantity. Not only does Suarez make amazing desserts and pastries (not just for weddings) but Carlos and his staff were so accommodating throughout the whole process that I will continue to visit their shop in Park Road Shopping Centre for future parties, occassions, and even an after-dinner snack. I highly recommend them to any Charlotte residents, wedding cake or not!

Suarez did a good job for our wedding I would reccomend them. The cake was beautiful and good tasting. The delivery was on time and proffesional. Their hours closed a little early making it unconvienant for tastings but glad we went with them and saved a few dollars over Nona's or Tizzerts (which shares their space but not the same)

Don't get a wedding cake from these guys. The cake was delivered late, it was crooked (I have the wedding pictures to prove it!), and it wasn't even the flavor I had asked for! When confronted with the mistakes, all Carlos said was "people ate it, didn't they?" Rude and unprofessional.

We were very pleased with our wedding cake. It was simple, but exactly what we asked for. Carlos was a pleasure to work with and very accomodating. Everyone has been telling us how good our cake was... especially the Carrot Cake layer.

What can I say? My cake turned out great! It was beautiful AND tasty- what more could you want? P.S.- I got the coconut! You should try it! And when we visited to pick out the cake, the baker gave my little boy a cookie!
