Great company!! Damien exceeded our expectations.. Everyone was up all nite dancing!

Sumar entertainment provided music for my ceremony as well as the reception. They were the best wedding band I have ever encountered. The atmosphere of the reception was alive throughout the evening with the guests totally engaged right through the last song. Many of my guests later told me how much they enjoyed the music from the wedding. Working with Damien was a pleasure right from my first interaction with him. Damien really listened to what I wanted and carried my vision of the reception through the evening. He was also receptive to my familys requests to play their own songs periodically throughout the reception (this was arranged in advance). I highly recommend Sumar Entertainment and hope to beinvited to a wedding that they are playing at again soon!

To all those brides that are looking for guests to talk about their wedding months after, you need a good DJ to help you out with that, right?! Book with Sumar and I promise that will happen!!! I recently got married and everyone keeps saying how awesome our DJ, Damien, from Sumar was! He was a pleasure to work with and had our guests on that dance floor the entire night! Thanks to Sumar Entertainment, we had a GREAT wedding!!!

We decided to use Sumar Entertainment’s band “The Wedding Crashers” for our wedding on August 19, 2011. We also used a keyboard player for our cocktail hour. Both experiences were wonderful. Damien made the process extremely easy and convenient for us. We were able to chose music that we wanted played at our reception, and the band did an amazing job of entertaining our guests. We had such a blast. Our family and friends continue to comment on how wonderful “The Wedding Crashers” played and how much fun they had.

Damien from Sumar Entertainment provided us with DJ services for my daughter's Sweet 16. Damien was very professional, organized, courteous, and made sure the events of the evening went on schedule. I used Sumar for my oldest daughter's Sweet 16 and just had to use them again. The kids and adults danced all night! What more can you ask for!

We used Sumar for both our ceremony music (a string quartet) and our DJ (DJ Bill) and we were extremely happy with everything. Damien was very organized and always a pleasure to work with. The string quartet was very high quality and played exactly what we asked. We had a lot of specific instructions for DJ Bill and he did everything that we asked him to. He kept the dance floor packed all night long (without playing anything cheesy) and our guests had a great time! I would recommend Sumar highly.

Cats on a Smooth Surface played for our wedding reception, and they were great! Nobody wanted to leave!!

We had DJ Markus and crew at our son's Bar Mitzvah this weekend. They were unbelievable The dance floor was never empty They played the songs that my son requested They were very professional and catered to all age groups I would highly recommend them

We booked Cats on a Smooth Surface for our wedding and were blown away by how great they were! We were hesitant to spend so much money on a live band but we are very glad that we did in the end. One advantage of having a band was evident when the conga line started up during the song "Love Train" and the band was able to pick up on it and keep the song from ending. What a great memory!The dance floor was only empty during the band's scheduled breaks, they kept everyone grooving all night long. We got tons of compliments from our guests on the band. We also booked a harpist through Sumar for the ceremony music and were very happy with her.

They were amazing! Everyone at the wedding was dancing and said how much they enjoyed the music. We used Sonic Groove, one of the bands of Sumar Entertainment. The band leader was so nice and sweet and professional. Everyone in the band was really talented. I couldn't be happier!

Overall they are not a bad company but I would never use them again. Damian was extremely professional, and on top of his game. DJ Mic not so good. I gave him specific songs to play which he did not play. i am Puerto Rican and wanted some slas played. He told me that he could not get all of the songs...really dj mic.... you couldnt find marc anthony!!! My cousin had to go out to his car to get one of his salsa cd'sIn addition I specifically requested that no cheesey party songs like we r family, electric slide get played. well...they were all played, but i didnt find this out until i wated the wedding dvd.needless to say i was pissed off!!! I also specificALLY TOLD THAT HE WAS NOT TO TAKE FAMILY/FRIEND REQUESTS FOR THESE SONGS.DJ Mic also screwed up the music a few times. there were a few very awkward moments!!!

Damien and Mario were great. The Sumar Band kept the dance floor packed the whole night. We were very nervous about booking a band and after meeting with Damien and Mario we were extremely excited, we booked them on the spot. They delivered everything they said they would. I definitely recommend Sumar Entertainment!!

We were so excited for the band, which to us is one of the most important aspects of a wedding! The music was good-not great. The band was not lively and did not get the crowd going. We had many meetings prior to the wedding and had special requests that were ignored. We felt they were mediocre and would not recommend to anyone.

DJ Markus was awesome! He played everything we wanted to hear and didn't play anything we didn't want. He was great! If you go through Sumar Entertainment, definitely ask for DJ Markus!

They were great!!! Everyone was dancing the entire night, and we had a blast. They played everything from the oldies to now. They sang our wedding song perfectly and I just loved them! The prices were really good compared to some of the others I researched, and I would recommend them to everyone.

Sumar Orchestras played the music I requested in a lovely manner. And when I called them, the person I spoke to, Damien, was very helpful & cooperative throughout the whole process. However, I realized once I received my wedding video, that the harpist & violinist had moved their positions from right next to the altar over to the shaded area for convenience. I understand it was hot out, but I had paid for a service and the ceremony only lasted for 25 mins., if even. They also assured me that they would have amplifiers to enhance the sound since it was an outdoor ceremony, & I'm not sure they even did because they moved their position further away, preventing the orchestrated music from reaching the whole audience. (about 400 people, which they were aware of) But working with Damien was very pleasant & they tried very hard to find & practice the unique pieces I wanted to have played.

They were fantastic in every way and I would recommend them to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great band...hired an 8 piece ensemble hoping to get the original 8 that I saw on their video and during a live performance. Got 3 "replacements" who sounded better than the originals. Very classy group with outstanding voices. The value of a live band is often overlooked.

We needed a band that played both american and italian music...they were fabulous! The lead singers were both fluent in italian and were able to do all anouncements in both languages. We had a great reception thanks to them!
