WOW! I had the wedding of my dreams, and I owe so much of it to Carmen, Marco and their crew at the Summit House.Pre wedding: Carmen was quick to respond to any and all of my E-Mails and phone calls (and trust me, there were a lot) while never getting irritated with me. Wedding day: The ballroom was gorgeous, the food was amazing!Staff: My husband and I had our own personal server to get us drinks. Our parents had their own servers and our wedding party had a server just for them. When I arrived to the venue in my dress, they were waiting for me and my bridesmaids with glasses of champagne for each of us (and I heard they did this for the guys too) and after the ceremony were waiting for us with more champagne and ready to run to the bar to get us anything we needed. Overall, I could have not chosen a better venue.

Let Me First say... Choosing the Summit house was the best decision I made my whole life. We Probably drove Carmen Nuts asking her question after question visit after visit so that we would get everything covered. we ran around like chickens with our heads cut off and Carmen was alwayse just so calm with a simple answer to every question. "Yes We can do that "!!!! AMAZING... she was so awsome to get us prepared for the big day. THEN IT CAME>> Marco the MAN!!! he was the one that ran the show.. He took care of absoulty everything... We were so Busy and he saw to it that we take a second to have to just ourselves. He was at my side at everysencond getting us anything and everything we need. You could not Pay a million dollars to get better service than we got at the summit house... I would recomend them 100%

Thanks to the Summit House I had my dream wedding! I had the most gorgeous wedding I could ever ask for. The Summit House is a beautiful location and has the best food I have ever eaten! All of my guest compliment me on this venue and how wonderful the service was. Marrying my husband at the Summit Hose turned out to be the best day of my life! I highly recommend the Summit House for a wedding venue.

If you want a wedding reception venue with architectural interest, amazing food, and impeccable service... seriously go no further than the Summit House in Fullerton. Marco was a bride's dream (although my husband didn't mind the constant champagne & munchables either!). He and Carmen put everything together perfectly, and the night could NOT have gone any better. All of the servers did an amazing job and we could not be happier with the result. And we received SO many compliments regarding the food and atmosphere! Trust me... you won't regret choosing the Summit House.

I absolutely love Summit House and the whole team. Carmen K. and Marco , the event coordinators, were exceptional. Carmen was very professional, thorough and efficient. Marco was there the day of the wedding, very accomodating, attentive...totally made us feel like we were king/queen the whole day. Guests enjoyed cocktail hours outside. The view was spectacular for both day/night. We received compliments that food were delicious. The place was perfect for 230 guests. I totally loved everything about the venue. It was indeed MY PERFECT wedding! =)

The Summit House was very helpful in acheiving our "perfect" wedding day. Carmen and Marco were both amazing, carmen for planning the details of the reception and mraco made sure the night went on without any problems. Truley the best reception location I could imagine. Our guests were very happy and the food was amazing :)
GUEST

Amazing service! Marco and the staff were very attentive to our needs. I forgot the garter at the hotel and Marco found one for us to use! Everyone at the wedding kept telling us how beautiful the venue was and how great the food was.

Carmen is the best on-site coordinatory one can ask for! She has the most calming nature! I enjoyed working with her and her staff.

AMAZING and magical. It was the best experience not only the day of, but the entire planning process. Carmen is so professional and efficient, you do not have to worry about a thing. I strongly recommend this venue to any bride.

I went to a wedding June 2009. I have to say it was very beautiful. The ceremony and reception took place on a Friday evening. the ceremony was outside over looking the OC hills and the reception was in a banquet room. The food was good and the drinks were great as well. The bride was very happy with her venue. On a side note, this place is a reatuarant so business is still happening while the wedding is taking place. The restrooms are shared with the wedding guests and the restaurant. So, if don't want people snooping or being looky-loos then this is not the place for your wedding.

Marco, Carmen, and staff were exceptional! We were very pleased with our decision to have our wedding reception here! The food was delicious; the staff was attentive to our guests (and us of course), professional, and wonderful to work with.

Summit House was outstanding! Carmen is so organized and easy to work with! She also provided some outstanding ideas! The venue looked beautiful, the food was excellent and the service was exceptional.

We attended an event here over the holiday and it was beautiful, plus services were great.

Carmen worked with us prior to our wedding day with all the planning and details of our reception and made our planning experience stress-free. Marco worked with us during our food tasting and throughout our wedding day. From the moment we stepped out from our limo their service was outstanding. After coming from our offsite church ceremony, my husband and I were a little hungry and thirsty and Marco and his staff knew what a bride and groom goes through during their wedding day because right when we stepped out from our limo, Marco was there to welcome us and had some drinks and snacks ready for us. When Marco gave us a tour of our banquet room before our guests entered, it was just how I imagined it would be. All our decorations and party favors was nicely decorated in the banquet room. They were organized and very considerate to our vendors.

I had such good luck with vendors on my wedding day, but I have to say that choosing the Summit House for my reception was the best decision I made throughout the whole wedding process. They were my favorite vendor and far exceeded my expectations in every single way.
What put them above the rest:
1) Planning and Organization - I worked with Carmen throughout most of the process. She was on top of every single aspect of my wedding and more than accomodating. I didn't hire a separate wedding coordinator and I definitely didn't need to for the Summit House! When I expressed my concern to her over our ceremony venue, she even offered to come over and coordinate that! (although I didn't take her up on it). I sent her numerous emails and she answered all of them within the next day. And she captured every single detail without me having to tell her twice. She was absolutely AMAZING! And, I must say that the entire staff was wonderful. When Carmen was out of town, I worked with Jan and Mark and they covered for her beautifully. Never once did I have to worry about the Summit House throughout the whole planning process.
2) Beautiful location - I love the grounds of this restaurant! It has a beautiful lawn/patio area and the ballroom is gorgeous with its floor to ceiling windows. It has so much more character and beauty than any other hotel ballroom. One visit and you will see how beautiful it is :)
3) Food - The food is great! We actually made a very uncommon request - we wanted churros and hot chocolate - and the Summit House was willing to do it for us! On top of that, it was PHENOMENAL!!!! All of our guests raved about this and we were so glad we decided to add this!
4) SERVICE, SERVICE, SERVICE - I saved the best for last. On the day of my wedding, Marco coordinated my event. I was a little nervous that it wasn't Carmen, but I really had no reason to be. Marco was just as organized and truly made me feel so special on my wedding day. I arrived early at the venue to take pictures. When I arrived with my family, he was waiting for us with a cart of cheese/crackers and water/champagne. It didn't really occur to me that it was for us until we would move 10 feet and one of the staff members would push the cart towards us. They literally had someone who followed us around with that cart! This continued throughout the entire night. When we pulled up after the ceremony, there was a similar cart (but this time with our appetizers) at the front of the restaurant and it was just for us! Not having eaten a lot all day, we scarfed those down before going to see our guests. It was amazing! The rest of the night, Marco and his team brought me tissues when I started to cry during my maid of honor's speech, would pop in to hand me water throughout the reception (the best!), made sure my pregnant sister in law got cider for the toast and decaf coffee, took the blame when the groom spilled some champagne on a guest, helped wrap up all my vases/cleaned up, and sent us home with a box of food since we didn't have time to eat ours. It was absolutely the best! Everyone was so surprised by the level of service and it certainly exceeded all of my expectations!
Overall, I was overwhelmed by the level of service I received from the Summit House. I brought them 13 boxes of items to set up the day before and they set everything up beautifully and we got everything we wanted all back after the reception. Throughout the whole process, I had complete trust in them and had no need for a coordinator because they did absolutely everything.
Thank you Carmen, Marco and the rest of the Summit House team for making my wedding the best day of my life. Choosing the Summit House to have my wedding was the best decision I made and I cannot wait to come back for my anniversary dinner (maybe even a couple of churros can be replicated for us?)
Bottom line is if you're a bride looking for a venue, you can't go wrong by choosing the Summit House!

Awesome! I LOVED working with the Summit House staff - they were truly amazing to work with from the moment we inquired about the venue and were that much more amazing the day of. They made the day super easy and stress free. Yummy food, gorgeous setting, and even better staff. Can't get much better than that.
GUEST

I don't know why people wouldn't get married at the Summit House! Not only is the location gorgeous, but the staff is amazing! Carmen was great throughout the entire planning process - she answered every email and silly question I had. And, on the day of my wedding...I was astounded at the level of service we received. Marco was our onsite contact, and he was prepared for everything! Any time I needed a glass of water, he or someone else was right there to make sure I had it. At one point, my hair had started to fall out, and I turned to see him with bottles of hairspray and brushes for my maid of honor. He was amazing! Also, our guests raved about how beautiful the location was, and even more importantly - how great the food was.
GUEST

Summit House was a perfect wedding venue for a medium-sized wedding reception. Carmen, Marco and their excellent staff provided excellent service while also putting myself and my husband at ease. The view was gorgeous, and the staff was extremely flexible and kind. And the food was delicious! Our guests left the event feeling pampered and satisfied. I highly recommend this venue to anyone planning a special occasion reception.
GUEST

My wife and I were married on April 10th and we could not have asked for a better ceremony and reception. Carmen and her crew were OUTSTANDING. The food was amazing. The attention to detail was great. Honestly - there was nothing we had need for that they did not provide. As we share stories of our big day with friends and family, one of the things we keep saying is how great our experience at Summit House was.
GUEST

We had our reception at the Summit House and we were so happy with the venue and everyone on staff there. From Carmen who helped us with all the details and stayed calm during the entire planning process. To Marco who helped us day-of and literally chased me down on the dance floor with glasses of water to keep me hydrated during many hours of dancing, it was a pleasure working with everyone to make our day special. The food was amazing and we got many complements from friends and family who were surprised that the ordinary "wedding food" was taken up a notch by the Summit House kitchen. Outside view was beautiful as was the view from inside the ballroom which inspired many "ooo's" and "aahh's". We LOVED it and cant wait to go back on our anniversary!
GUEST

Overall the Summithouse was a wonderful wedding venue. We loved Marco! He was willing to work with our every wish and demand. Carmen is super professional and straight forward. Everyone loved the food. Only complaints- i wish Carmen would have been there for the ceremony and reception since I had worked with her, but she had another lady doing it and we had no idea that would happen. They charged us for extra meals the night of the reception and made my parents write a check that night! I thought that was lame and we feel we got ripped off- they made us pay for quite a few more meals than guests and we don't know how they came up with such numbers.
GUEST

Great service. As soon as we arrived at the ceremony & reception site, there's butler kept following us and bringing us drinks. Food and the hor d'oeuvres were delicious. My guests complimented on the food and the panoramic OC view. Carmen was my contact person, and she's really helpful in putting all the process together. During the wedding reception, Marco was the bomb to make sure all food were out in time, and my vendors were also fed.I really recommend this place if you want to have romantic and great view for your wedding with great service. :)

I fell in love with a venue close to my parents' house and was dead set on having my wedding there--there didn't seem like anything was going to convince me otherwise. That was, until my fiance and I had dinner at Summit House Restaurant. And then it hit me that food was a really important aspect to our wedding. Once we saw the view and banquet room, the other venue wasn't a sure thing anymore. My fiance and I decided to do a taste test of the two venues--Summit House won hands-down! Additionally, Summit House was a more convenient location for guests and vastly more cost-effective.After we booked, we were positively reassured by each vendor we spoke to that Summit House was known for their incredible professionalism. Carmen was always VERY HIGHLY spoken of.Being an extremely pessimistic person, I was skeptical that the wedding and reception timeline would flow smoothly.I can now say that I have experienced the following: the extent to which Summit House and its staff are commended is truly earned.I did not have the best morning with a few issues arising before we arrived at Summit House; however, as soon as the wedding proceeded, I had forgotten my earlier troubles. The outdoor Gazebo was lovely and convenient, and the timetable for the wedding moved smoothly. These are the following reasons I'm grateful we had our wedding/reception at Summit House:1) Friendly and OBSERVANT staff--the wedding coordinator was able to spot/take away unsightly accessories from family members before they made it down the aisle and into our photos--oh, bless her!2) Doting staff--the maître d’ and waiters followed my husband and i EVERYWHERE, especially while we were taking photos around the Summit House grounds (the photographer was given access to everywhere on the grounds)...our waiter ensured I had endless mojitos and he even held my bouquet for me when I was tired. The maitre d' also paid special attention to our parents, which my mother happily commented to me about afterwards.3) Smooth pre-reception set-up--we had last minute details for the morning to be taken care of, e.g. last-minute decor setups and late RSVPs, and these were handled without a hitch by Carmen and her staff.4) Customized venue and a flexible bar and food menu--we elected to have a selection of 4 meal choices by RSVP and Carmen gave us some flexibility with the chicken selection to our liking even if it wasn't on the menu. Additionally, she was very accommodating in having the bar set up in a different location due to logistics for our reception. The basic wine selection was superior to most wines I've had at other weddings.I could ramble for a few additional pages, but in summation--my husband and I had no regrets in having our "party" at Summit House and look forward to having our anniversary dinner back there in a year.

I got married on January 1, 2010- NEW YEAR'S DAY! And trust me, it was not intentional. However, for the first time in many years, the Summit House was open for wedding receptions. Carmen and her staff were AWESOME! They are very easy to work with. The evening of our reception was wonderful, the staff was quick, kind and professional. Completely easy to work with! You will not be disappointed with their treatment! My sister and 3 of my friends had their receptions here and we would all agree, this is a wonderful place.

I have nothing but great things to say about the Summit House. They took amazing care of everything. Everytime I turned around, one of their staff members was there with champagne or water or anything I needed. The view was amazing and the service was even better. Seriously, after we booked the Summit House, every vendor we talked to all said that they loved the Summit House and a few even said they wished they'd had their weddings there. And now I know why. They never made me feel rushed, even during their crazy Saturday switch overs when I'd peak in to see how they transformed the room. Their staff alway had time for me, or my mom, or my aunt or anyone else who we brought by. They created my candy bar, and set everything up beautifully.

Everyone at the Summit House was amazing. My husband and I were extremely happy with the service, the set up, the staff, and everything. And the food was DELICIOUS!!! We got nothing but complements about the Summit House....how beautiful it was, how good the food was, etc. Carmen, the catering director, was very helpful (less stress on my part since we planned the wedding in 6 weeks) although at times difficult to contact (expect to make phone calls rather than email). We had our wedding ceremony in the gazebo and the reception inside the ballroom. The location without decoration is beautiful enough so with flowers, sashes on the chairs, table cloths, etc... it looked spectacular. Marco was our maitre d and he was very nice and helpful...always giving us a heads up on what we were doing next, consulting us, etc. Everything went smoothly on the day of the wedding. The only thing that didn't pull through on was putting the fan programs out before the ceremony, but that's a very minor detail that was easily fixed. I would highly recommend this venue to brides and grooms. It's a little expensive but it's worth every penny.
GUEST

I wish I could rate this venue with all 10 stars. The gorgeous room, the staff, the service, the food - everything was incredible! Our guests told us how beautiful and wonderful everything was. And the view is spectacular!

IT'S NOT SURPRISING THAT THIS WEDDING AND RECEPTION LOCATION IS SO POPULAR. IF YOU HAVE EVER ATTENDED A WEDDING OR ENJOYED A MEAL IN THE AWARD WINNING RESTAURANT, YOU WILL KNOW WHY THE SUMMIT HOUSE IS BOOKED ALL THE TIME. THE FOOD IS TO DIE FOR. NOT YOUR ORDINARY BANQUET FOOD. BUT, IF YOU HAVE HAD THE PLEASURE TO GO THERE, YOU KNOW WHAT THE BUZZ IS ALL ABOUT. OH, THE WAIT STAFF, THE BEST.

We couldn't have picked a better place to have our wedding. Summit House is by far, the best venue out there. We booked this venue 18 months before our wedding and for 18 months, we sent emails to Carmen, the coordinator, asking her question after question about anything and everything, often times repeating ourselves I'm sure, but she never hesitated to answer. It was as though we were the only couple she was working with. Our calls were also returned immediately. In fact, even when she was out of the office, there was someone assigned to her emails and phone messages to make sure that responses were given in a timely manner. On the day of the wedding, everything ran incredibly smooth. There wasn't a moment the entire night where we needed anything. Every time we turned around, we were being asked if there was anything we needed. Not only were we catered to in this manner, our guests were stunned at the service that was provided and we got nothing but amazing compliments about the food. The only negative I had throughout the entire process was that our favors weren't set out on the tables, but we had a candy bar so no one even noticed (including us!). Apparently, the mistake was noticed at the end of the wedding by my mom and when she mentioned it to Marco, who was in charge of the wedding, he apologized repeatedly and explained the reason for it. Because the wedding went off without a hitch, my mom had decided that the error wasn't a big deal and that we'd be fine without the money, but the Manager of Summit House took the time to call my mom to find out what could be done to make up for it. In the end, they ended up paying my mom for every penny that was spent on the favors even though they were never asked to. That in itself was beyond commendable. We highly highly recommend Summit House as it is such an amazing venue with the best service you could ask for!!

This was the perfect place for us to get married. Great staff! Thanks.

I had my reception during lunch time. Carmen (reception coordinator) is a great person to work with. They set up everything for my wedding including tables, table setting, wedding favors, tablecards, guest table, and pictures). I gave her a picture of what I was envisioning and she set it up correctly.
I love how the sunlight flooded the majesty of the room. The food was delicious and my guests commented on the prime rib and horderves. This site is highly recommended!

Summit House is a beautiful location with an amazing view! The food is delicious as well. My family loves the restaurant so it seemed like a natural choice for us to have our wedding reception here. Carmen is fantastic and kept everything organized on our wedding day. We were pleased with everything!

We had both our reception and ceremony at the Summit House Restaurant in Fullerton, CA. The location was beautiful and the service and food was superb! Included within the approxiately $135 per person was use of the grounds/reception hall, food, open bar all night, beautifual decorations (with the exception of flowers and party favors which were not included), free parking, wedding coordinator on the day of and a very attentive staff. Additionally, we get a complimentary champagne dinner on our one year anniversary. The price was much more reasonable than most of the other places we looked at and the place was more beautiful by far. Six months later, I still have friends and family talking about how great the location was and how much they loved the food. But then I think every future bride/groom in the area already knows this as the Summit House is usually booked at least a year in advance.
I can't imagine a better place to get married. The Summit House made sure our entire wedding was wonderful. The staff was always there to assist and the wedding coordinator was extremely helpful. I can't wait to go back on our anniversary!

The Summit House in Fullerton is the best place for a wedding! Carmen and the staff did an amazing job with our wedding reception. Everything was so beautiful and the food was delicious!!! The park adjacent to the restaurant, Vista Park, provided a wonderful spot for photos. We had a Saturday lunch reception, so the cost was very reasonable. We plan to have dinner at the Summit House every year for our anniversary! We happily recommend the Summit House to anyone planning their big day!

Carmen is the manager and she did a very good job!

Summit House is a beautiful location for a wedding reception. My wedding was during the daytime, so I loved how it was filled with natural lighting through all the windows. Their service is excellent as it is well managed by Carmen. She is very responsive to questions and is extremely reliable. Their servers are professional and well-trained. However, I was not please with how they immediately started to tear down the tables and chairs once my guests started leaving. It made the place seem so chaotic during the day time since the guests were outside chatting and taking pictures. Summit House is very flexible in that they allow you to use your own vendors instead of theirs. I did not like the quality/color of their chair cover vendor were too much so I opted to use another vendor. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend this place! I received many compliments for the ambiance and food!

I really enjoyed working with Summit House. It was a beautiful location, great view, big windows with a fantastic view, and REALLY wonderful food & service. I would definitely recommend them!

Carmen is their Wedding Event manager who took care of us. She is not very responsive (like within hours) in terms of email questions; but at least reasonably responsive (like 1-2 days). She explained the cost quite clearly and she is very experienced at the whole thing. Reservation and tasting experience are great!Days prior to our big day, it's raining a lot. We worried while Carmen's explanation of alternatives / planning made us a lot less worried. Again she demonstrated her valuable experience.During the ceremony, Carmen was right there close to us during the whole process. She worked hand-to-hand with our wedding planner. She did a great job!As far as the venue at Summit House goes, their sound system is hard to work with unless you just want them to play in-house background sort of music. If you plan to use their system with you band, forget it. You have to hire your own band / DJ / music consultants for that. Besides the sound thing, their decor and environment are very good for taking pics. Gazebo area can be very windy though. But it looks really good in front of camera!Food is decent. Servers' service is just OK -- a little rushing.Restrooms are very clean and decent too, if you care.Parking are more than enough!Overall experience is very good!

I cannot say enough good things about The Summit House and especially Carmen and her crew. They were a HUGE help! I emailed Carmen a million times throughout the planning process and she was so helpful and patient with me. The Rehearsal was great. Carmen was there, but didn't do the actual run through, another gal did. She was thorough and we went through it twice to make sure everybody got it. I went into Carmen's office and went over all of the stuff that I brought and where it was supposed to go. It was easy, painless, and perfect. The day-of was amazing. Carmen was on it and had the guys ready to go with their bouts and brought us our bouquets before I even got there. The tables were setup when I arrived (and I still needed to get dressed). She made sure the boys were tucked away so that I could enter without being seen. Chris was our main guy for the night. He was awesome. He cruised over to me while I was taking a break from taking pictures (Sheri was taking pics of other people for a change, hahaha) and asked me about decorating the cake (florist left the stuff there, cake was delivered), he just wanted to make sure it was done to my liking. He was also there whenever I took a break to see if I needed a water or anything. After the ceremony was over, we had champagne waiters there and while we were chilling outside while the cocktail hour was going on, there was a waiter who brought over one tray of each of the appetizers to us so that we could get a snack in. They were great about keeping DH and I on track with timing. They brought us out fresh plates of dinner after DH and I went around table to table because our food got a little cold. I even heard that guests got to take home the remainder of their dinners...the waiters were boxing up their food to-go! So cool. The food was excellent. Service was beyond excellent. Price was great. Everything was PERFECT!

Summit House was great! I attended a wedding there and loved the place. It has a gazebo for the ceremony. Food was fantastic!!!! Price was very reasonable too! We ended up having our wedding at Summit House as well.
Carmen is great to work with. Highly recommended!
Summit House is a great place to have an event there. From the gazebo for ceremony, the ballroom all the way to food was great
The Summit House is an extremely popular Ceremony and Reception Venue in Orange County. There are several reasons why. 1. It has a great view of Northern Orange County as it sits in the Hills of Fullerton. 2. The Grand Summit Ballroom is beautiful, well maintained so it doesn't need extensive decor to make it look fabulous although it does look even more breath taking with some floral and Up Lighting. 3. The food and menu is out of this world and let's just say your guests will impressed with the quality and talents of their chef. It is a restaurant so you'd expect the food to be tasty right? 4. And the biggest reason why this is such a highly sought after venue? Their service is phenomenal! The sales team, on-site coordinators and banquet staff all go out of their way to make sure you are well taken care of from the moment you book until your guest depart. Not only do they provide a great experience for you and your guests but they've always been extremely accommodating to our needs as DJ Entertainment. It's obvious that they totally understand that we are all part of the same team and that our ultimate goal is to serve you, the client. The Summit House has been doing this consistently since they opened in the early 90's and it is a testament to their success.
