My husband and I took dance lessons at Supershag studio starting about 5 weeks before our wedding. Neither of us had dance experience, and we wanted to learn some basic dance moves so that we didn't look like fools during the first dance. Our dance instructor Zeke was absolutely fantastic, and we ended up taking 6 lessons with him. He taught us some basic Rumba moves that we could combine into a routine, and tailored it to our first dance song (which was a little fast and electronic). He made us feel super comfortable with those basic moves (including a very fabulous dip!), and we didn't feel like our dancing looked rehearsed or stiff on the big day. This is exactly what we had been hoping for.Overall, dance lessons were super fun, and were nice break from the craziness of wedding planning. Zeke knew what he was doing - he was professional, friendly, and a really fantastic instructor, highly recommended!
Supershag Dance lessons were really good. Tristan helped teach us the basics, and then helped us figure out a loosely choreographed routine to our first dance song, complete with flourishes and a big finish. Yet it wasn't intimidating, and he was really approachable. My fiance didn't want to go at first, but it actually turned out to be fun date nights, learning something new, and being silly. We could only fit in three lessons though, and I'd recommend doing the full five they try to get you to sign up for.
