My style is fairly low-key and professional. I make whatever announcements you wish me to make, in a clear and pleasant voice. I don't attempt to talk with phony gusto like a TV game show host or a circus ringmaster. I am there to facilitate a great time for YOU and your guests.

I will dress in appropriate attire required for the event, whether it be formal, casual, or somewhere in between. What I will not do is show up in attire that draws more attention to myself than the couple. It is their day and all the attention should be on them, their families and friends.

No, the couple does not have to provide any music.

I don't have a "4-hour package." What I provide is more like an "8 to 12 hour package." I start working for you the moment you hire me, well before the day of your ceremony and reception. That is one of the marks of a true wedding professional. 
You are NOT just hiring me to play music for 3 to 4 hours. In addition to the actual event you have hired me for, I also spend many hours meeting and consulting with you, helping you create your ceremony order and the timeline for your reception. I spend time fine-tuning all the details, researching and obtaining your special music requests, preparing customized CDs containing sequenced music for special moments like your Grand Entrance, visiting the site of your reception in advance, and arriving at the event early to set up. Typically, I devote 12 HOURS OR MORE to your wedding.

I strongly recommend that we meet BEFORE you decide whether or not to hire me. An in-person meeting can help you - and myself decide if we're a good fit for each other. Later, after you've hired me, we can schedule additional meetings to go over all the details (in addition to talking by phone and corresponding by email). A wedding is a very special and personal event, and meeting couples in person is part of the way I conduct business as a wedding DJ.

Yes, I use top-of-the-line professional audio equipment, from manufacturers such as Technics, JBL, Crown, QSC, EV, Peavey, and Shure. In addition to a pair of excellent full-range speakers, I can also set up subwoofers to give the dance music extra punch, especially in larger rooms. At your event, I'll play music through a pro-audio system designed especially for music that is at a proper volume, and I bring a back up of everything.

Dance lighting- intelligent lights that move to the beat of the music and provide modern visual effects that help bring dynamic energy to the room.

I will arrive at least 90 minutes before I'm scheduled to perform. For my main set-up, all I need is a table and access to a standard power outlet. Typically, the table is a standard rectangular shaped banquet-style table that nearly all caterers and hotels supply.

Don't worry. I'm expert at fitting into just about any space, large or small. I'll consult directly with the venue to make sure I'm familiar with the physical layout.

Master of Ceremonies duties will be skillfully handled so your reception events flow smoothly from Grand Entrance to Final Dance.

I am familiar enough with all genres of music and skilled at reading the crowd that this rarely happens. If you don't have a "dancing crowd" at your reception, I don't ever have the need to force grandma or shy guests out onto the dance floor. People have unique ways of enjoying themselves and my services recognize that.

First, I have never missed a gig in twenty years of DJ entertainment. Second, even if I were not feeling well, I'd be there, and you'd never know. After all, it's like show biz - "the show must go on." Third, in the extremely unlikely case that something happened which absolutely prevented me from making a gig, I would find you a replacement DJ at no additional cost to you.

In the event the couple desires extended services, they shall be provided at a rate of $50 per 1/2 hour, prior to the performance of the extended services. The couple must also have the express approval of the venue before overtime services are rendered.

How far in advance should we book you?
That is entirely up to you. But keep in mind that I usually get booked many months (sometimes a year or more) in advance for the busiest months (April through October) and for Saturdays in any month. You can always find a DJ on short notice. But if you care about getting the RIGHT DJ, plan ahead!

Do we sign a contract?
Absolutely, your contract is straightforward and written in plain English so that you can understand the terms before signing. It is signed by both parties and offers you a high level of protection and dependability. With the contract you can be assured that there will be no hidden extra charges or surprises at your event. The signed contract and deposit officially reserves your date and of course an executed copy will be sent to you for your records. If you have any questions or concerns about the terms, just ask!

What is the deposit and when is final payment due?
I require a $350 deposit and signed contract to reserve the date. The final payment of the remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your event date. I will gladly accept your cash, check, or money order. Once the music is paid for, that's one less you will have to think about before your event.

A signed contract is not indicative of a guaranteed date. It must be accompanied by a $350 deposit to hold your date and guarantee service. Contracts and deposits are accepted and considered executed on a first-received, first executed basis.
