We were extremely happy with Susan Flewelling Photography and all Susan offered with our package. We got a great package that included albums for all our parents (we have 4 sets) and a gorgeous album for ourselves. I know our friends spent around 8 grand and they didn't get half what we got and the photos were no where near as good. You get to know Susan and become her friend, this is how she makes you feel so at ease in front of the camera. She will have you laughing and kissing (your husband) that you don't realize she is already done. Dh always kids that he want's to do the engagement session again because he got to kiss me so much. He never gets that much of my attention, LOL! We are more then satisfied, all the product was delivered on time (I know I have heard horror stories about that as well). We have already sent two of our friends to her and she has gone above and beyond for them as well!

We are useing Susan too!! She did my firends wedding and did an awesome job so we had to have her too. We just had our engagement session and it was so much fun and the pictures looked wonderful and artistic. Just what we love!! We love you Susan. :lol:

NIGHTMARE - my best friend used this photographer for her wedding back in May. She just recently got her pictures after months of emailing and calling. Something happened and Susan left town. To make a long story short, she finally got a CD of her images after 7 months!!! She is just grateful she was finally able to receive some images from her wedding. These pictures are so important and irreplacable. Choose your photographer wisely.

I've been waiting for a long time to review Susan, mostly because I was hoping for a more happy ending than I have ended up with, Unfortunately, I've had a heartbreaking tale, and I don't want others to suffer for it. Plus, I still have a little hope left in me.

I got married in July '08. She arrived 45-60 min late, and we were going to take our formal pictures before the actual ceremony because it was outdoors and it was hot. We had to rush all our formal pics just to get any. Other than that, she takes great photos.

However, over a year later, and I have received NOTHING from Susan. She moved and was having family problems. I understood these things happened, and I was patient. But, she still has a contract to fulfill, of which she hasn't! My husband and I, however, have paid her in FULL per our contract terms and are owed our negatives and an album.

Forgetting that what she is currently doing is a breach of contract and criminal behaviour, I'm heartbroken because I have no tangible evidence of a wonderful and special moment in my life. We didn't get a videographer, and of course friend's photos are few in between and not high quality. I've cried over this many times.

At first, Susan would respond to our e-mails with phone numbers she never called back from, and she doesn't respond to any of our e-mails. I've heard she's gotten a divorce, so the address we have for her is out of date. She's been out of business technically for the past year so we can't file a complaint with the Better Business Beureau. In short, she's run off with our money.

Beware of dealing with this photographer. She's in Colorado now, somewhere, possibly setting up shop.

For any other people trying to find Susan, please contact me. Hopefully we can exchange information and keep ourselves updated so we can track her down and see if any of us can find justice. Or just offer each other support.

I've had quite a few people message me to ask if I know of contact info for Susan. All I know is that she moved to Colorado. She told me this while she was very emotional on the phone with me. Luckily I paid attention, because I was able to find the following information. Please let me know if it is correct and if you get anywhere.

I can't believe I didn't review this vendor!

I had a horrific time with Susan and it's a shame because she really is an excellent photographer. But, the thing is, I was so irrate at her customer service that I ended up not even ordering an album from her in the end.

She had a personal crisis last summer (hey, it happens to the best of us) and I was really understanding. I gave her time to pack and move and followed up with her once she was settled. I even went so far to give her a little bit of personal advice and some inspirational-type talks to lift her spirits. I know how hard a personal crisis can be. BUT, and this is the big but, she is running a business. As heartless as this sounds, when it comes to business, you have to put your personal feelings aside and get the job done. She certainly wasn't accepting any new business after she moved, so she had time to finish up her old clients' work. Also, crisis or not, there is a point where you need to let your clients know that something has happened and you are behind. Just a simple "I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but I have had a major family emergency and will be with your shortly." And then you offer a discount. Geez Louise! This is common sense if you don't want to put a permanent X on your name in business.

I had to track her down, call her repeatedly, email her repeatedly, and it still took months to even get my pictures on a CD. I think she has some serious apologizing and discounting to do if she ever wants to get back in business and, as I said, it's a shame because she really is talented.

She was so awesome! We love our album and we love everything about our experience. She was always on top of emailing us back quickly too!

i have to say, susan is one of the first wedding vendors i booked, and i LOVE LOVE LOVED her.
She is as talented as they come, she has a great eye for detail and really knows how to capture your spirit.
She was the ONLY photographer i interviewed because her photos tell it all about her work.
Not only she is the sweetest person ever, but she is willing to work with you. I had a destination wedding that required over 12 hours of work. Her packages include albums and calendars and sign in books, truly a great value. My friends that were married one week after us were very jealous of our fabulous album. Thanks for the awesome work!

We used Susan this summer for our wedding. We loved the way she was so easy to work with. We were very pleased with everything especially our final album. It definatley was better then I could have hoped for. The colors were amazing and the work fantastic. I believe she is using one of photos on her site. Hi I just wanted to come on here and say I have been very happy with Susan's service and photographic skill. She did my sisters wedding as well as my new sister in laws wedding last summer. She will be photographing my event very soon and we are so excited! She did such a great job and she is so much fun to work with. She had us laughing all day when she was working with us. You can tell in the photos that everyone is just enjoying theselves! Love everything!

UPDATE:
I just got my photos back from Susan for my boudair session and they are fantastic. I wasn't going to do bpics but then I had to because of all the raves. It more then exceeded my expectations. She is so sweet and totally put me at ease through the whole session. She does them at her house so there is no need to get a hotel room which I think is helpful with costs! (Also I got my makeup trial that day so that cut down on that as well). Very Happy!!! :D :D :D

I can't wait to do the wedding photos with her!!!! It is getting close now!!

I used Susan for my boudoir photos. Susan was really great. She was wonderful to work with and really sweet. I enjoyed working with her. She made me feel comfortable especially since I was really nervous. I was really pleased with my photos and glad that I did it. My husband was very pleased with the photos as well :)
