Suzy Berberian was our wedding coordinator for our wedding in Napa Valley and it was a complete dream to work with her. I spoke to a few wedding planners but knew Suzy was the one we wanted to work with immediately after speaking to her on the phone. She is both brilliant and warm. She listened to what we wanted and helped us make our wedding everything we had envisioned. She is extremely respected in the wedding industry; every single vendor we spoke to only had the highest praise for her and her work.
She was incredibly organized and helped us plan and execute our wedding in the most efficient manner possible. She helped us put together a team of vendors who were amazing at what they do and loved their work. She always had the answer to any question I had. And, whenever I felt stressed about the details just talking to Suzy would melt it away. My husband wanted to find an open basketball court in Calistoga on a weekend and she helped with that. There was some difficulty at first getting our rehearsal dinner organized and she took care of making those arrangements for us. She created our ideal wedding timeline and incorporated all of our details and requests and made it a reality. Our videographer had some miscommunication with his supervisor and arrived late, but Suzy and her assistant helped us record video of us getting ready and our first look, all of which was later beautifully incorporated into our wedding film.
Every single communication we had with Suzy whether via email or phone or in person was just lovely. On our wedding day itself there were so many details to check, but Suzy took care of them all. I was so happy that we were free to focus on getting married and spending time with our guests. For that we are ever grateful. We had the best time working with her and cannot recommend her enough.
My partner and I hired Suzy to provide partial wedding planning services for our domestic partnership ceremony on May 27, 2012, at the Villagio in Yountville. In the months leading up to our event, Suzy kept us calm, organized, informed and on track. Not only was she efficient and effective, she was pleasant to work with. She is very well connected in the Napa area and made a number of excellent vendor recommendations. She also met with us several times to get a feel for our preferences and incorporated our feedback into everything she did for us. Suzy particularly shined on our big day. She was a calming presence and ensured that everything went smoothly and just as planned. Without her help we would have been in over our heads and we are grateful for all the hard work she put in to make our event special. As a gay couple, it was also a relief to work with someone who was willing and able to help us tailor our non-traditional wedding so that the event was just the way we wanted. I can't even give a review that will do Suzy justice for how amazing she really is at her job! I received numerous compliments about how low key and stress free I was throughout the year of wedding planning and I owe that 100% to Suzy. She kept thorough notes on every single detail, gave us superior recommendations of the best vendors in the area, was extremely responsive when we had questions or needed assistance, kept all of our plans and vendors organized so everyone was on the same page, and was critical in keeping us in budget. Her diligent work throughout the year was a testament to how seamlessly our wedding came together and how much my husband and I were able to enjoy every second and every detail of our wedding. Even when the Napa Valley inevitable red wine stain down my wedding dress by a sloppy guest happened, I didn't fret for a second, I went directly to Suzy knowing that she would have a plan and I was absolutely right, she had me cleaned up and picture perfect in minutes!! The whole wedding planning process was so much fun and dare I say easy and stress free because I had Suzy at the helm. My husband and I took the task of picking our wedding planner very seriously and spent a considerable amount of time reviewing and interviewing wedding planners and Suzy is by far the person who impressed us the most so let us save you the time and look no further, Suzy is who you need to plan your wedding if you want an absolutely perfect and extraordinary experience. When my now husband and I decided to plan a Napa Valley wedding while living in London I expected many stressful days. To ease my anticipated stress, I partnered with Suzy on planning our big day. In a word, she was brilliant! She got to know us at the beginning of the process in order to create a wedding that was personal to us. Suzy was our wedding coordinator for our July 2011 wedding at the Calistoga Ranch in Calistoga, CA and we couldn't have asked for a better coordinator. Due to the added cost, we were hesitant at first in hiring a "day of" wedding planner. Suzy was absolutely the best and most important choice I made in planning our wedding! I live in Atlanta, GA and was getting married in Napa Valley so it was important to have a wonderful wedding planner. I flew all the way out there, interviewed a bunch of planners, and didn't fall in love with any of them, however, as soon as I got home, I spoke to Suzy on the phone, I knew she would be perfect. She is organized, very knowledgeable, kind, creative, very detailed, and most importantly always calm. Even on a crazy wedding day, she handled everything calmly and with a lot of poise. Suzy was our wedding coordinator for our april 2010 wedding and we couldn't have asked for a better coordinator. She was always available, and had great ideas for vendors and for all the details of the wedding. She answered every question I had no matter how silly. Since my husband and I were planning our wedding from across the country, she was so helpful and made us feel reassured that everything would work out fine.... and it did. All of this for the "day-of plus" package. On the day of the wedding, I was able to enjoy my day because Suzy is so good at what she does and definitely worth every dollar spent plus more! Suzy did such an amazing job orchestrating the rehearsal and the actual wedding day that everything went off without one problem. She was so good with all the families and even got my crying nieces who were my flower girls to walk down the aisle the day of even though they wouldn't do it at the rehearsal. I can not say enough about the incredible job Suzy Berberian did for us in helping to plan our out of town wedding in Napa Valley! She went above and beyond what I would expect of a wedding planner by dealing with the hotel event staff, picking out our reception wine selections, picking up attraction brochures for our guests, and so much more! I can't believe it has taken me a year to write this review. Suzy is AMAZING!!! Even to this day we have been in contact just to say hi. We had a destination wedding at St. Francis Winery in Sonoma. Originally, I had planned to organize everything myself from Seattle. Then I met Suzy and thank goodness I did. Suzy was so professional, organized and totally understanding about any and all requests. Our wedding was truly perfect. All of our guests commented on Suzy and the other vendors. I truly did not stress about one single thing. She was so in control it was awesome. Honestly, don't even hesitate. You will be so happy that you have Suzy working with you. We loved her! Overall: Suzy surpassed all of our expectations! She was wonderful to work with and extremely friendly in general. Not that I am the "bridezilla" at all, but Suzy was always calm and collected and really helped us get through a couple minor hiccups we had...that are typical of any wedding day.
I wish that I had elaborate parties all the time so I could work with Suzy, I really can not say enough good things about her. In all honesty, I can not think of one little thing that I had problem with....we had excellant vendors (lots of research to get them) but I could give you some minor constructive feedback on pretty much all of them...but not Suzy - she was great with no changes!
Booking: We spoke on the phone and booked her before we actually met We felt very comfortable doing this as she came highly recommended from other vendors, brides, and we could tell she would be very easy to work with based on our initial conversations.
Cost: My husband and I tried to minimize costs for our wedding and he was very worried about this extra expenditure, but even before the wedding he was so happy that we had contracted her as she was able to help pull together last details and provide general advice on areas we were unsure about.
Organization: She went through several lists of items prior in order to understand what we were doing for our wedding (our vision and all the details that came with that) since we had completed a lot of the planning already. She had great questions and kept us on our toes for some lingering items and also gave us great ideas/recommendations for the last details we were working through. She followed up with vendors to make sure we had all our boxes checked, was fantastic on the day of making sure things were ready to go, and just was a dream to work with overall.
Day of Concerns & Issues: We had one area that concerned us greatly - transportation. We needed to bus all our guests in and vendors leave on time, if not supporting the reception (this included cake, florist...), and move extra cars as the parking made it almost impossible. There were many times my husband and I would sit down and wonder if it could be pulled off. This is an area that Suzy helped us with greatly. She kept on top of vendors to make sure they were gone when they needed to be and even gave a ride to a photographer to help reduce the number of vendor cars onsite and make sure they were parked in spots that were not visible to our event space. Lastly, we had one guest that drank a little too much and due to the parking - Suzy offered to give him and his girlfriend a ride to their hotel.
Thoughtful: Suzy was there to answer questions and take some of the load off to make our day run smoothly and allow us to enjoy it and not worry about the small OR big stuff. She was so thoughtful by being there to help us cut the cake when we weren't sure how we were "suppose" to do it and she made sure that when it was dessert time that we got a plate of it as we were busy with other things.

Over the years the Eloquence String Quartet and Trio has had the pleasure of working at various venues with Suzy on her weddings,including Auberge du Soleil, St Francis Winery, Paradise Ridge Winery and V. Sattui Winery. Each one has been beautifully choreographed down to the last detail. As musicians we have always felt welcomed cheerfully, were well informed of details, and never felt any kind of stress or hectic emanating from Suzy. I think her clients and their guests just float into their fairy tale wedding never realizing the hours of preparation that were spent ensuring that everything flows together so perfectly.
