I have food allergies so I was nervous about getting my wedding cake. The team at Sweet Cheeks made the most delicious, gorgeous wedding cake for us. It was Gluten Free on top and regular for the rest of the guests on the bottom. Everyone kept saying how much they loved it! Our family ended up eating over the next couple of days after the wedding. It was too good for it to go to waste.

We absolutely loved our cakes. We had the traditional wedding cake and a grooms cake and they both turned out perfect - exactly how we wanted them. They tasted very good too!! Elaine and Christy were great to work with.

What can I say.... Elaine and Kristy were just awesome to deal with! We only visited once for the tasting and at that time, we supplied a very vague idea of what we had in mind for a cupcake tower. We wanted a cake topper that reflected who we are, two peas in a pod. While we didn't mind the topper being somewhat cute, we didn't want it too "fluffy" cute since our style is simple and contemporary with straight lines.Elaine used our keywords: contemporary and simple; along with what little we could imagine our topper to be, and created the absolute perfect combination of contemporary and cute that completely exceeded anything we could have ever imagined! The cupcakes were artfully placed, the 6" cake that sat on the top tier was square with intricately designed vines, and the bride & groom peas in the pod were adorned with a top hat and a veil.What more can I say? Elaine had the vision to make take our cupcake tower far above our expectations and make it absolutely perfect for us! And Kristy processed our appointment, deposits and final payments making it a breeze. We couldn't be any happier!

HANDS DOWN BEST CAKE & CUPCAKES I'VE TASTED!From the tasting to the wedding, Sweet Cheeks was great to work with. We had received countless compliments and praise for the groom's cake at the rehearsal dinner and the wedding cake and wedding cupcakes. It was so hard to choose flavors because there were so many wonderful combinations. The girls were always available to us and helped us come up with the perfect flaors for our day! Pricing was so reasonable and they exceeded our expections with their beautiful designs. They even helped me surprise my groom with a golf themed cake with his favorite flavors! I would highly recommend working with Sweet Cheeks... they truly provided us with fabulous and unmatchable products that we will have in our pictures forever!

I did not actually get a peice of my wedding cake, yet. the top's in the freezer. However I did get a great sample of what our cake would be like at the rehersal dinner. They made a cake in the form of AT&T's logo for us as that is where my husband and I met and where we both work. It was 100% the hit of the party, meant so much to us. Their cakes are so much more than pretty, they taste amazing. We were so happy with them!

We hired Sweet Cheeks for our wedding cake and we couldn't have been happier! Everyone at Sweet Cheeks, especially Elaine and Kristy, were so fun and easy to work with, the cake looked beautiful on the big day, and it tasted even better than we remembered! All our guests were stunned by how delicious it was and kept asking us if we had any leftovers...but of course we didn't because there wasn't a scrap left after the wedding. From start to finish it was so easy to work with Sweet Cheeks, and I can't wait to use them again for another special occasion!

Yum! Sweet Cheeks made our wedding cake back in August and everyone loved it! We had one layer a chiffon cake with their delicious lemon/coconut filling and buttercream frosting and the other layer had their amazing passion fruit filling. We received SO many compliments for the next few days about how good the cake was! In addition to how great the cake tasted, it also looked amazing. We were very happy and would definitely recommend them to anyone. :)

Awesome cake! Great flavor too! It was too good to cut it. Everyone loved it and we did not have any left overs. Nobody could guess a passion fruit custard filling flavor.

Kristy and Elaine were wonderful to work with!! I went to meet with them without my husband because he was working and she just pulled my ideas right out of my head and placed them on paper in about ten minutes!! She nailed the overall design and the cake was DELICIOUS!! Never in a million years would you ever guess that it is sugar free! The technique and care they put into their cakes is well worth the wait!! It is a small shop but you can tell they take care of their clients and put them first!! It was almost a shame to cut into our cake!

From our tasting experience to delivery and wedding, we had a really great experience with this bakery. The cake was delicious! It turned out exactly as we planned. We also rented their glass cake stand. You can put whatever you like into the stand. We provided sand and shells as our wedding theme was beach/shells, etc. The stand was perfect and unusual. The vendor provided an alternative option for dropping off the stand since we did not live in the area. We received our deposit within two days and also had a follow up call from the bakery. We would definitely use this bakery again. They were very responsive and the cake was a big hit.

Sweet Cheeks Baking Company was awesome! They made delicious individual cheesecakes for my wedding..peanut butter, New York style and banana coconut, in addition to a 6 inch topper..banana cake with peanut butter fudge and buttercream icing! Everything was great...beautiful and delicious!!

I have so many wonderful things to say about Elaine and Kristy at Sweet Cheeks that I do not even know where to begin!! First of all, we could not have worked with a nicer, more creative and more accommodating bunch of ladies!! Kristy was absolutely awesome from the beginning! She answered every single one of my questions in every email I sent her and was always extremely pleasant and completely thorough. Elaine was an absolute dream at our tasting and completely perfected our wedding cake and grooms cake!! We showed her pictures of what we had in mind and what she created was even better than what was in the pictures! We went with the banana cake with fudge and peanut butter mousse for our bottom tier, and the vanilla bean sour cream cake with cream cheese and strawberry curd for the top two tiers. Both flavor combinations were loved equally amongst our guests and were absolutely delicious!! They also were able to sculpt an unbelievably accurate replica of the Red Wings logo for my hockey loving husband for his grooms cake which was made of chocolate cake with white chocolate mousse and chocolate ganache. So delicious. I must add that before we got married, my husband did not believe in grooms cakes, but when all was said and done, HIS perfect and delicious Red Wings cake was his favorite part of the whole wedding!!! The Sweet Cheeks team was also able to accommodate one of my guests, who could not enjoy the big cakes, with Gluten free cupcakes without even missing a beat! We appreciate all of the special things you did for us more than we can ever explain!!Everyone at Sweet Cheeks, Elaine and Kristy especially, were an absolute pleasure to work with. We got compliments all night long about how delicious our cakes were and have been referring our friends to Sweet Cheeks ever since. Sweet Cheeks did an amazing job for us for our wedding. We had a 3 tier red velvet cake that was to die for as well as a selection of mini desserts. Everyone raved about them and the cake was gorgeous. They were a lot of fun to work with and got the look we were hoping for for the cake perfectly. They were easy to get in touch with and always responded quickly. We were beyond happy with them and would recommend them to anyone. Delish!

The ladies at Sweet Cheeks were amazing! And there are so many positive things I don't know where to start!Since we live in AZ, my (then) fiancé and I decided to take a trip out to San Diego to try and meet with all potential vendors. We could only meet with the bakery on a Monday which is their half staff day so it's a "Take home tasting". We met with Kristy to talk about what we wanted our cake to look like, she was so friendly and understood pretty much exactly what we were asking about. We then walked out, our arms full of goodies to pair and sample - we had SO much fun trying everything out (great pics come from a take home tasting!). Their options were all wonderful and a great selection.They were so wonderful working with us over the phone and sending us images through email (We decided to basically design our own cake) and they were so helpful with all of that.The cake did seem a bit expensive but the flavors really were unbeatable. My only disappointment was that it turned out a tad bit plainer in design than I was hoping for but that was partial in fault to the huge table it was put on with really no decoration around it.All around wonderful business to work with and delicious outcome :)

From the moment Sweet Cheeks had us come to the bakery to taste-test a variety of different cakes, fillings, and toppings (each made with the highest grade of natural ingredients) we knew we made the right choice! But it was not just the incredible flavors and taste that confirmed our choice, it was also the creativity and uniqueness of how the cake was going to look. Indeed, Sweet Cheeks are not just bakers, they are amazing sculptors and artists too!When all was said and done, at our wedding the cake was unique, beautiful, and mouth-watering! And after one taste, we knew and all of our wedding guests knew the cake created by Sweet Cheeks truly was the ….. piece de resistance!

Working with Elaine and Kristy was so easy! They were laid-back and approachable, yet still professional and dependable. We didn't want the traditional wedding cake, instead we wanted their pistachio cheesecake for our main cake and their blueberry cheesecake for our guests. They totally made it work! Also, they were so patient with us even though we made some last minute changes to our order a couple months before the wedding. Elaine and Kristy were easy to get a hold of by email and very responsive to our questions and concerns. They definitely had our best interests at heart and really helped us stick to our cake budget. Thank you both so much for our awesome (and delicious!) wedding cheesecakes! We loved it!

We absolutely loved our wedding cake from Sweet Cheeks- it was beautiful and delicious! Diane and Kristy were quick to answer emails, accommodated my last-minute changes, and were great to work with overall. Highly recommended!

The cake was beautiful and tasted heavenly. We initially had some issues scheduling a tasting apointment (they misplaced some emails and then had difficulty getting us in for a late afternoon in house tasting) but once we got it nailed down the tasting was an interesting experience. They let you sample a variety of cakes and fillings/frostings where you can mix and match so you don't have to choose a standard flavour combination.Our cake was included in our wedding package through the Bahia (we had 3 bakeries to choose from) and we were clear that we didn't want any extra charges above what the Bahia would cover. We were told of a couple flavour options that would carry an additional charge so worked around them, picked our cake and then got the estimate for a substantial charge! We found out that one of our cake fillings was not included with the package even though we had not been told this at the tasting. Sweet Cheeks would not waive the fee so we ended up having a second (at home) tasting and picked a different cake altogether.In the end it worked out well and the cake was perfect but it could have been a smoother process.

The girls at Sweet Cheeks were awesome! I went in with a design that I drew out myself, and they worked within my budget to give me exactly what I wanted! I had them put roses on the cake, that I left out for them to do when they got there, and it looked EXACTLY like the picture that I had showed them. The tasting was great too, because we got to take different flavors of cake and icing and put together our own combinations!

Not only did my cake look awesome, but it tasted amazing! I would highly recomend Krista's Spumoni, it tasted soooooo good!!!!

Sweet Cheeks baked and delivered 100 delicious pink frosted monogrammed heart shaped cookies for my July 2010 Coronado wedding. They were fantastic. The bakery gals were so nice and we did everything via email. I got their name from a bridal magazine after seeing a picture of monogrammed cookies for a wedding featured in that issue. I got so many compliments on the treats. The kids at the wedding went crazy for them and it was nice to have an alternate dessert to the traditional wedding cake. The cookies were awesome and were the hit of the wedding. Sweet Cheeks really helped to make my day!

Hands down the best cake in San Diego. These ladies are great. Elaine even sent me wedding pictures after our wedding! They are helpful and the cakes are delicious! After our cake tasting and before our wedding, we even used them to make 4 cakes for my MIL's birthday party. Their cakes definitely don't disappoint! I miss their cakes now that we've moved away from SD!

Elaine/ Left Cheek and the entire Sweet Cheeks Team did a phenomenal job on the cupcake we chose for the wedding. From the moment our tasting search began we had taste in mind above all. Tasting several cupcakes was at times a bit of a task, but Sweet Cheeks came to our rescue. Their unique tasting service and ability to mix and match wnything you like was fantastic. I would say it's the ulimate tasting...and to narrow it down even further, they were kind enough to allow us to tast between the top picks we had. The entire team was wonderful in helping with the order, preparing cupcakes to our specific liking, and teaming with our wedding coordinator- Brenda Swann/Swann Soirees and florist- Sally Preston-Gonzales/ Exquisite Blooms to make the big day one to truly remember. Not surprised, everyone at the reception commented on the cupcakes and how Yummy they really were. I would say the best by far in San Diego County. Thank you for the goodies that contributed to our special day..one I will remeber for a lifetime! I think I will have to place a special Sweet Cheeks request next time I get a cupcake craving.

Oh, the cake. We cannot say enough good things about our cake from Sweet Cheeks. Before the wedding, when people asked us what we were looking forward to, we said, “The cake! Make sure you try the cake!” This is no ordinary wedding cake. It is delicious. The cake was so good that the food & beverage captain said that it was the first wedding where the *entire* wedding cake was eaten. We were sad, because we wanted the leftovers! Everyone raved about how great the cake was. Elaine and her team do a wonderful job. They took our theme and made a beautiful, unique cake to match it. Also, we have to say we enjoyed the cake tasting at Sweet Cheeks more than at any other place. Elaine gives you different containers with all the fillings, and then pieces of each cake flavor, and each frosting so you can taste them all separately and come up with your own combinations. We settled on a dark chocolate cake with peanut butter and cream cheese filling, and a tiramisu cake with pistachio and hazelnut mascarpone. They were both so yummy we wish we had more right now.

It was such a peasure working with Sweet Cheeks Baking! We were recommended through a work collegue and were not at all disappointed! We loved the tasting format - letting us take cake samples and frosting home to mix and match and come up with our own combination is such a fantastic idea! Elaine was so wonderful to work with and she sketched out our cake to match our invitations and overall theme. We had cupcakes with a top cake for us to cut. The cupcakes were delicious, and everyone complimented how great they tasted! We really appreciated the fact that Sweet Cheeks uses natural, wholesome ingredients, as this was something really important to us! We did have a little snafu with the cupcake tower, and they were really so gracious with us in the way that it was handled. I can't wait to have another occasion to book Sweet Cheeks!

We ordered cupcakes from Sweet Cheeks for our wedding. They were seriously the BEST cupcakes I have ever had! Our guests talked for days after about how good they were! We also had them make use a small 6 inch cake to cut--ohmygosh it was yummy! I don't even LIKE cake that much, and it was incredible.They are also great with email communication. I am a teacher, so I couldn't be on the phone with vendors. I needed people that I would get prompt info via email. Elaine and Donna were great with all of that.They are awesome, vivacious business partners. Their attention to detail, focus on natural ingredients, and the energy they bring to their company is going to make them HUGE in San Diego very quickly! My husband said "We have to figure out a reason to order from them again!"

Perfect! That is the most simple way to classify this company. I went to their shop with very little ideas, but Elaine transformed my small details into a beautiful and tasty creation. Everyone enjoyed the cake! I can't wait until my 1 year anniversary to have their immaculate creation again!

This was the best wedding cake I have ever had at a wedding. The two ladies that own this little bakery are definitely skilled in their profession. All the cakes are made with fresh ingredients and you can certainly tell. I was so pleased with my wedding cake. THey worked with me on every detail to make sure it looked and tasted exactly how I imagined. They were detail oriented and gave it the personal touch I hoped for. We were so thrilled with the result!
