Working with Lisa was a dream. She was incredibly personable, and asked a lot of questions in an attempt to really get to know my husband Luke and I as a couple. Our pictures were amazing, from our casual and fun engagement shoot, to our rehearsal dinner when nerves were on high alert, to the actual wedding day. All of my friends and family raved that they were the most beautiful wedding pics they had ever seen and how amazing it was that Lisa was able to capture the true emotion and feeling of the day. Our personalities really shined through. We highly recommend Lisa, and feel fortunate we had the opportunity to work with her. She made every picture SO amazing that we are having the hardest time making an album. Thanks, Lisa!

The ladies of Sweet Tea were by far my favorite vendor to work with from the very beginning. Communication you would only dream of from your other vendors - immediate responses to even the smallest dumbest questions, and in a way that I never felt like a client but a close friend. Great prices in such an expensive area for photography, and we got exactly what we wanted with our pictures, including any specific shots and lots of detail shots. I had wanted a vintage feel and with muted lighting, and now my only challenge is choosing between the hundreds of versions of this that I got. We got our pictures back very quickly and are now looking forward to possibly seeing them in some editorials, which is definitely a priority for Sweet Tea which is great when as a bride that is your priority as well. Perfection all around, which is what you want from a photographer since these are your memories you're trying to preserve. Thank you ladies!

Sweet Tea Photography by Lisa Marie, was great! Not only the pictures that will last my lifetime, but the personality and spirit of the company is great. Lisa Marie is so willing to ensure before the wedding all the details and agenda is right on point. During the engagement session lots of laughs and great shots. Also she is so willing to go to all different locations – even if they are all around the city! On the wedding day, she and Michele, (second photographer) worked so well with all the bridal party. She also made sure that my style was addressed and also great shots. I highly recommend Sweet Tea Photography.

Lisa was the best! She was our photographer for engagement photos as well for our wedding. We are not the easiest to photograph (I seem to blink a lot!!), but our pictures turned out beautiful.

We LOVE Lisa Marie and Michelle!! They were both so wonderful to work with the day of the wedding, and all the months leading up. Lisa Marie is so responsive via email and spent countless hours making sure every detail would be just perfect. She also worked closely with our wedding planner to make sure everything was well coordinated. And last but certainly not least, our pictures are gorgeous!!! We had not one, but two weddings and Lisa Marie not only captured our memories, but the photographs really relay the feel of the events. We feel so lucky to have worked with her and Michelle.

Lisa Marie and Michelle were so wonderful to have at my wedding. They were helpful, unobtrusive, relaxed and fun! We had a very casual wedding and didn't want someone who would force too many posed shots (ie OK everyone at Table 3, SQQUEEEZEEE IN!). Afterwards, several guests even commented how easy going the photographers were. No one felt like they were being awkwardly stalked or photographed with their mouths full, etc. Oh yeah, and the photos were AMAZING. The style of her photography was exactly what we wanted for our outdoor, farm wedding. Thank you SO much Sweet Tea Photography!

Lisa is an amazing photographer! She handles each project with ease and is such a pleasure to work with. Whether it's a small intimate setting or a large festive reception, Lisa just glides through any venue. Most important: she captures all of the emotions in her photographs. You can "feel" the tender moments...as well as the level of excitement in her photographs. The best part...you can relive it all just by looking at her work!! We can't wait to work with her again!!

Lisa & Michelle are AMAZING!! They are both the nicest people in the world and are so creative. When we first saw our engagement pictures I was so thrilled with how they turned out I couldn't wait to use them for our wedding. On my wedding day Lisa & Michelle were so attentive to all of the details I had (which I had put a lot of time and effort into, so it was really appreciated). My pictures are not ready yet, but I'll be sure to comment again when they are! I know they will be beautiful!!

I highly recommend Sweet Tea Photography by Lisa Marie!! Lisa Marie made taking wedding pictures such a fun and easy part of our big day. After the wedding, we had such lovely and stylish photos to remember our wedding day. We felt so lucky to have found her and booked her when we did!!

Lisa Marie is awesome! She was able to roll with the punches with my bridal party full of hams and also reign us in and direct us.The pictured came out incredibly beautiful, my friends say they look like something out of an Urban Outfitter's catalog. She also was able to keep the mood really light and happy and fun and was able to get that we're not typical people. I was excited that day, so I look excited in the pictures. I'm not a day-dreamy person and there was no way I'd end up with "Bride looking bashfully at her bouquet" pictures. Lisa Marie also made a photobooth with silly props like mustaches on sticks and was all about it when I showed her that someone had left a box full of parasols at our venue. So now I have pictures of my friends and me playing with parasols and my husband's groomsmen playing that the parasols are a car and sitting on the front porch with them like southern gentlemen.

Bottom line: Lisa Marie is tons of fun, takes beautiful pictures, can direct you in to looking beautiful, and keep your bridal party in line.

We were in the DC area for a wedding and wanted to do some engagement pictures. Lisa Marie was willing to fit us in on a Sunday morning for a quick 2 hour session - she was ultra flexible with us! We had a great time, and the pictures turned out great! We got to tour the area a little and have some great pictures to go with it! She was easy to work with, and her laid back manner made us comfortable in front of the camera. We had a great time!

Lisa was wonderful to work with. I get compliments on my wedding pictures all the time. Her modern style still pays tribute to vintage traditionalism and that makes for absolutely beautiful and timeless photos.

Lisa worked with us to create exactly the kind of package we wanted, while other photographers wouldn't dream of doing what she did for us. We were very specific on the format the pictures were taken in and how we wanted to receive them, and this was no problem for her.

The day of the wedding Lisa was sick, but still came and did a fantastic job. She was unobtrusive but not afraid to pose us during formal shots. Turnaround time for the photos was incredibly fast, much quicker than any of my other friends who recently got married.

Lisa Marie was a joy to work with! It was important for me to have a photographer that was both fun and obviously loved their profession. She has a wonderful personality and makes taking pictures comfortable and easy. We loved our engagement and wedding photos, and really appreciated having the rights to the photos afterward. Although it's difficult with just one photographer, she manager to get pictures of the details of the wedding as well as fun ones that we enjoyed mixed in. Very reasonably priced for a very talented photographer, don't look any further! I will definitely consider her for future photography needs.

Lisa was very easy to work with while also being able to direct us into pictures that we would treasure. We weren't sure what to do during our engagement picture session, so we appreciated her giving us ideas. Lisa is also one of those rare photographers that we didn't even really notice during our busy ceremony and reception, and that's a good thing! She wasn't intrusive or uncomfortable at all. Lisa was also always available to me by e-mail (this was my preferred method of contact), and always responded quickly.

Lisa Marie was excellent - she listened to exactly what my husband and I wanted, while making some suggestions based on professional experience. We wanted more candid shots then portraits, and she definitely delivered, but we didn't feel like we were being photographed. Looking through all of the pictures (all 536) was like reliving the day and all the fun and memories.

Love love love this photographer!!! She was very willing to work with us, and change her plans based on our needs at the last minute! She traveled from Savannah, GA to Northern VA for a nominal fee.
