Sweet Tooth Bakery

Sweet Tooth Bakery made our wedding cake for our November 2012 in Indianapolis. My sister found Sweet Tooth online and recommended we try it. We planned our Indianapolis wedding from Washington, DC, so I sent my mom and sister on the cake testing. They were honest about their experience and noted that the shop itself seemed kind of odd in terms of the retail side of the bakery. We ultimately selected Sweet Tooth Bakery for their pricing, skill, location and of course the great tasting cake!

Some of my lower star ratings are due to the experience at the physical shop for our appointments. It is slightly odd and very low key - staff is very sweet but somewhat "flighty." I felt like I was crossing my fingers and hoping for the best! =)

The cake was beautiful! We put a deposit on one of their cake stands and it was also beautiful. They decorated the cake with the orchids the florist left for this purpose and it was awesome. We had a four-tier cake, and each tier was layered with vanilla, chocolate, and red velvet - that way each guest could taste every flavor cake since they were being served by the caterer. (We had buttercream icing as well as chocolate mouse and cream cheese icing between the layers!) Whatever you do, trust the bakers when they say that they despise red velvet because the food coloring dries out the cake. Red velvet is my favorite, but unfortunately it was very dry in our wedding cake. And surprisingly, people were not shy about sharing this information with me - as if I hadn't tasted it myself.

Random notes: We did an additional sheet cake to cover the extra number of guests. You couldn't tell the difference between the four-tier slices or sheet cake. Perfect solution suggested by the bakers! We also did not save the top layer. If we are in Indy this November, I'll stop in for an anniversary cake or...

Hands down... the BEST cake in Indiana. When choosing a bakery for our wedding cake, my husband and I tried 4 places prior to finding Sweet Tooth. A great-tasting cake was one of our biggest priorities... we've been to too many weddings where the cake is not up to par. As soon as we tasted the first cupcake from Sweet Tooth, we knew we had found the right place. The employees are friendly, cheerful, helpful, and most importantly, they know how to bake a delicious cake. Our wedding cake was moist, flavorful, and beautiful. We only wish we would've had time to eat more of it at our reception. Our top tier might not make it to our 1 year anniversary...

Out of all the compliments I received about my wedding, I think most of them were about how beautiful and delicious my cake was! Sweet Tooth Bakery has very moist and flavorful cake and their service is just as wonderful as their cakes taste and designs. I changed by design at the very last minute but they were able to produce exactly what I had pictured. They are such nice people to work with and would recommend them to everyone!

They made a football helmet shaped grooms cake and it looked like a real helmet! They were great cakes were delicious, we had bailey's irish cream, guiness chocolate, snicker doodle, red velvet (can you tell we cake tasted on St.Patty's day?) DELICIOUS! The cakes were both perfect and looked exactly like the pictures!

My cake was a huge hit! Jennifer did an absolutely beautiful job and gave me exactly what I asked for. It was easily my favorite thing at the wedding.

I found Sweet Tooth online and decided to check her out. Her prices were very competitive. She had us over for a tasting of cupcakes and then put together the proposal. Even though she was in the process of moving AND I have severe food allergies to contend with, she did a wonderful job with everything. I had been sending her pictures of what i wanted the cake to look like (since I don't live down town) and she took it all in stride, creating exactly what I wanted when it came to the big day. Imagine my delight when it arrived right on time the day of and was DELICIOUS! It was easily the best, richest, cake I've eaten, especially at a wedding. And I didn't have any trouble with food allergies. I thought the bakery was lovely, talking to them was always a treat, they were very professional and did a great job. Perfect place for anyone who wants affordable cake with a beautiful result.

Amazing cupcakes and service!!! Weeks later everyone still raves about them. Jennifer was talented, helpful, and incredibly kind! Our favorite vendor, and we had a LOT of good ones. It's a shame she's moving from wedding cakes to more of a normal cupcake shop. :(

Pros: We met Jennifer Taylor at a bridal show and she was wonderful from the beginning. She agreed then to make us a faux cake for show and a sheet cake to serve. I was able to send her pictures of what we wanted and she replicated that perfectly. The cake itself was amazing. We had chocolate chip cake with vanilla filling and it was so light and tasted so good! Chocolate chip was definitely a flavor for us because it was different. She has a wide array of choices that would please any modern, traditional, or eccentric bride! Last but not least, you cannot beat her prices. Both the faux and sheet cake that served 150 people was less than $300!

Cons: I don’t have any cons for Sweet Tooth Bakery. I was able to communicate any and everything I needed from them whether it was via email or telephone. I paid the majority of the bill via Paypal which was very convenient for me. No cons from us!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Sweet Tooth Bakery! For our wedding, we ordered 112 cupcakes and one small cake for us to cut during the reception. Jennifer was wonderful to work with, and both the cake and cupcakes were AWESOME. We're still getting compliments on them. And, in addition to tasting wonderfully, they looked absolutely beautiful! We love the pictures of the cake! And, they were a great value. I highly, highly recommend Sweet Tooth Bakery!

The wedding cake for my daughter's wedding was delicious. Jennifer was a pleasure to work with and I think has now opened a shop on Mass Ave. The price was right and we had three different flavors. Everybody was happy and loved their cake! By the way, it was beautiful too!
