We had our ceremony at the Wedding Setting in the Withrow Nature Preserve. It couldn't have been more beautiful! It was perfect for a small ceremony (70 people).The volunteers were so great and helped with everything we needed. Having a house in which to get ready was a great benefit.Perfect for people who want an outdoor wedding.

The best part about having your wedding at the lakeside lodge,(in Sharon Woods) is the lodge. if you didn't have to participate in their ridiculous lottery to get the place.(all the people you know have to call in from 8-815 one year in advance and vote for you) Or talk to the rude woman who is in charge of setting up the room, you're golden. Because really the place is WONDERFUL, the price was right on, and you get the location from 10am till midnight, which is really really amazing. Plus you are able to bring in all of your own vendors, and I was a BIG fan of my vendors. :)
These people were great every step of the way. The food was very good. I thouroughly enjoyed my reception and would reccomend this place to anyone.

I would highly recommend using any of the banquet centers for your event. I had my wedding reception at Stonewood Lodge in Sharon Woods, Cincinnati Ohio. The week of the wedding a storm caused most businesses and homes in the area to lose power for a week. The manager contacted me right away to let me know the circumstances. She tracked down two generators and cooked the food at another catering facility so that our reception could go on with out a hitch. Most of our guests did not realize the power was even out. The food was delicious and it turned out to be an amazing night. The staff worked very hard to in the midst of chaos to pull my wedding reception together. I would highly recommend the venue.

A beautiful outdoor setting in Anderson, Ohio. A great value for the cost. You get six hours for approximately $100 an hour. Four volunteers are available during the event to answer questions. It's incredible. You can even get catering through the Park System!
Everyone at Sweetwine was great! The bartender even came out to dance with us at the end of the night! My husband has a rude aunt and uncle. We invited the 2 of them and they brought along 18 extra people. Needless to say we were short a table. THey brought out an extra table, but we were still short a centerpiece. So they went out in their garden and picked similar flowers and placed them in a similar vase. I never noticed, but my mom did and profusely thanked them for it.
Sweetwine is a very good place to have a reception. Everyone is very helpful, the food is good. All of the guest seemed to enjoy the place.

Very helpful planning the event and helping us decide which facility to use. Let us change our options right up to a few weeks before the event. They offer a full range of facilities from catered to just giving you the location and you can bring in your own vendors for everything.
About Hamilton County Park District
The Wedding Setting at Withrow Nature Preserve in Anderson Township is located within 270 beautiful acres. The Wedding Setting accommodates 75 guests on cloth-covered benches and seating for approximately 20 additional guests may be provided with the use of rental chairs. The Wedding Setting is available to schedule May through October for a three-hour period between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. or between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Included in the rental of the Wedding Setting is use of brides and grooms changing rooms in the adjacent Highwood Lodge.
Great photographic settings in this outdoor area are abundant. Nature provides many beautiful backdrops throughout Withrow Nature Preserve. Creative photographers may choose to pose your wedding party in front of an impressive dogwood tree or next to a stone wall running alongside a landscaped border. To complete your memorable event, the Hamilton County Park District also offers unique reception locations nestled on picturesque golf courses throughout Hamilton County. The nearest and located in Anderson Township is the Sweetwine Banquet Center on the Vineyard Golf Course. THE BANQUET CENTERS
MIll Race Banquet Center
Mill Race is a beautiful facility for wedding receptions and is conveniently located from downtown Cincinnati and the Tri-county business areas in Winton Woods. Mill Race works well for business meetings, seminars, banquets, golf outings and holiday parties, with groups enjoying the panoramic view of The Mill Course from the wall of windows. This is our premier banquet center, with seating for up to 150 guests.
Stonewood Banquet Center
Centrally located and close to the Blue Ash and Sharonville business districts, Stonewood overlooks the championship layout of Sharon Woods Golf Course. The banquet center is perfect for wedding receptions, business meetings, golf outings and holiday parties. There is a patio with a spectacular view that can accommodate a wedding or outdoor event. Stonewood seats up to 135 guests.
Sweetwine Banquet Center
Located in Anderson Township, just 15 minutes from downtown Cincinnati and northern Kentucky, Sweetwine is the ideal facility to host your next golf outing or business meeting. There is a covered patio. Sweetwine can also accommodate wedding receptions and holiday parties for up to 150 guests.

THE LODGES
Lakeside Lodge in Sharon Woods is a reservable lodge with a fireplace, kitchen, restrooms, electricity and heat, as well as tables and chairs to seat 115 inside and 200 outside. Beautiful location right on the lake!
Fernbank Lodge at Fernbank Park is a reservable lodge equipped with a kitchen, restroom, electricity, heated and air-conditioned, as well as tables and chairs to seat 100 inside and 40 outside on a beautiful terrace overlooking the Ohio River.
Riverside Lodge at Lake Isabella is another reservable lodge equipped with a fireplace, kitchen, electricity, heat and air-conditioning, as well as tables and chairs to seat 83 inside and/or outside.
