We worked with Sean on the day of our wedding. Everything far exceeded or expectations. All of our guest had a Magnificent time! Sean was even kind enough to get a plate of food for my husband and I after the initial dances, he was a pleasure to work with!

We used Sword Sounds for Officiant and DJ services. Robert performed the ceramony as well as provided DJ services for the reception. From the beginning Robert was excellent at communicating with me via Email and then over the phone, giving me many ideas on how to do the ceramony. We thought it was so nice to have a pre-wedding meeting with Robert face to face in order to get the entire ceramony and reception timeline figured out. Robert had great suggestions and helped make the day flow easily. It was a pleasure to have him at the rehearsal and his presense was so appreciated as he were able to handle a large wedding party and give us instruction on what to do that day. On the day of the wedding, he arrived early and was so helpful with the bridal party and letting me know things as I needed. I really appreciated that he was always letting me know when and where I needed to be during the reception. He even brought us drinks and appetizers from the cocktail hour while we were taking pictures with the photographer. As the DJ, he had the whole dance floor dancing all night long. I would highly recommend Robert Sword of Sword Sounds to any other brides out there reading this who are trying to make a decision.

Rob was great! From the moment we first spoke I knew he was the right fit. Very accommodating :) We recommend him to everyone! The only thing we regret was not adding more time to our contract with the venue so Rob could keep playing.

Rob Sword was our DJ. His quality of service went beyond exceptional. He arrived early to set up and was ready to go as our guests arrived. While his business is in Florida, and we were in a bind to get a DJ, he went out of his way to accommodate us in Knoxville, TN, for which we were very grateful. He was very professional. When I first booked Robert its was two years before our wedding... getting closer to the date we found out from another vendor that he was out of town due to family issues and may not be able to do our wedding. Keep in mind this is a month before our date I was livid I was freaking out and in panic mod that I wouldn't have a good DJ because your DJ is the heart of your reception no good DJ means 99.9% your reception will not go to well. He ended up giving us Dan one of his co workers he's been working with for years let me tell you what Dan was AWSOME!! I have no complaints AT ALL he was FANTASTIC....My ceremony music went VERRYYY smooth even though my bridal party kinda rushed walking down he adjusted the music accordingly. I had a song for the parents, bridal party, my self then right after the ceremony and top it off the reception was great to! I gave him a few songs to play then just told him to fill in everything else. he wasn't overly crazy and cheesy like some DJs he adjusted to how ever the crowd was if they where calm he was calm if I had a group of crazy people dancing on the dance floor he went right along with it. He was also very flexible to with any of the music. Dan was great!! you will not go wrong if you have him for a DJ and dont worry about those cheesy wedding songs you may hear at receptions he will not play those ( unless you ask him to )

Our wedding was at the Grand Plaza at St. Pete Beach. Rob was professional and fun. Rob officiated and was the DJ for our reception. He was so much fun to work with and our guests really enjoyed him as well. What I really appreciate the most, was that He brought my husband, myself , and the photographer water while we were shooting photos on the beach. We had Dan from Sword Sounds as the DJ for our wedding. Let me just say that nearly EVERYONE stayed until the end of the wedding to dance, and the floor was constantly packed. It was so packed with people at one point that some people had to start new dance areas outside of the dance floor and on the grass / sidewalk!!

He played beautiful music and classic favorites during dinner, and I don't even remember when the music switched to faster beats because it was such a natural transition. He was the main reason in our opinion that everyone had so much fun. I gave him a list of some songs we wanted and some we didn't, and incorporated the ones we wanted perfectly and within the context of the evening.

Sword Sounds sent out Dj Danimal to us for our reception. We were beyond impressed. He was punctual, laid back, and got every single person out onto the dance floor (even my 82 year old grandmother)! Our ceremony got rained on, and even though everyone was soaking wet, DJ Danimal made it into a great evening. Rob was amazing! He was my officiant and DJ and made the whole wedding flow so nicely. Every single person at my wedding commented on how awesome he was. After attending a wedding where the DJ was awful and cheesy I appreciated even more how wonderful Rob was.

Rob from Sword Sounds was great to work with in the planning period he was friendly and website was very helpful in selecting songs and keeping the special songs organized. DJ Dan was the actual DJ at our wedding and he did a great job! He was also really friendly and always kept the music going! Rob Sword was a fantastic DJ! He was professional and very accomodating to my requests. The online music selection option makes selecting your "must play" songs a snap. He kept our guests dancing through the night- both young and old! Also, as an added perk, he is certified notary! Our experience has taught us that exceptional service is just that; it is the exception and not the rule. Rob and our DJ, "DJ Dan", WERE the exception in that they always provided a level of communication and planning assistance which never left a doubt or concern about the services they were to offer for our wedding. Rob was great to work with from the very beginning. He was the officiant and DJ at my good friend's wedding two years ago and from the minute I got engaged, there was never any question as to who we wanted for our wedding. Rob was professional, easy-going, and flexible. Not only did he perform his DJ duties, but he pitched in anywhere else help was needed. One of my best vendors. Really worked hard to make my night as easy as it could be! Very professional and easy to work with! Quick to respond to all calls. Has alot of knowledge and experience and good recommendations. Was able to make the best decisions in the spur of the moment the day of the event when things didnt go as planned, and consulted with me the moment he was able to make sure the decisions he made were acceptable. Was very nice to my guests. Everyone loved him. If we ever need a DJ again I will use him!!!! I also used his uplighting and gobo, which turned out great!

Rob at Sword Sounds is a perfect example that you dont need to pay the most to get the best. Sword Sounds were reasonably priced but the services and the execution of the event far exceeded the costs. Rob is pleasant, professional and responsive. He is not one of those cheesy DJs that thinks the night is all about him. He stayed true to my list of play and do not play, and kept us on track with the timing of the evening. He was extremely flexible with his time - and even agreed to stay and play another hour at a reasonable and fair cost. In addition, he edited music for me prior to the wedding at NO COST! As a wedding planner (who also happened to be the bride) I would completely use him for all other events I need DJ services. He is the best and all of my guests keep raving about the music!

We had DJ Sean from Sword Sounds for my daughter's sweet sixteen. It turned out to be an awesome event thanks to Sean. He was polite, respectful, and new the exact kind of music to play to get everyone up and dancing. He even got the guests to participate in some really fun balloon popping games! He was awesome and my daughter and I talked about him for days after the party because we were so impressed by his friendliness and coolness!! DJ Sean will definitely be our DJ for any future parties we have. Sword Sounds owner, Robert, is also a very nice person to work with.

Rob officiated our wedding. He did such a fantastic job. It's been 3 months and people are still talking about a lovely ceremony we had. He then became our DJ for the reception. He really kept our party jumping. He mingled with guests, took requests, had a blast!! It was truly our dream wedding!

Cannot say enough good things about Sword Sounds. Rob did a great job and kept our dance floor FULL all night!! He played every song we wanted, and made sure to avoid songs we didn't want played. Everyone LOVED him!!! We would recommend him to anyone!

We used Rob for our second wedding reception in Tampa, and we couldn't have been more pleased with him and his service. Rob was timely and friendly in all of his communication, and he was just as wonderful at the event. He played music from our must play and request lists, and avoided our do-not-play list despite requests from some guests for those songs. Rob played music throughout the night that kept everyone dancing and having fun. My husband is a radio DJ and was impressed with Rob's equipment and his fun and pleasant demeanor. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ! If we ever need DJ services for future parties, we won't hesitate to call Rob.

Robert Sword did an amazing job for us as our officiant and DJ! I can't thank him enough for everything he did for us. Our ceremony was wonderful and even surprised us with an added rose ceremony. So sweet. During cocktail hour he made sure that we were taken care of while taking our pictures. He bought us hor'dourves and drinks for all of our bridal party. Even helped fix my bustle when we couldn't remember how to do it. During the reception set the tone for a great party! I love Robert, really can't thank him enough for everything he did for us!

Rob was a FANTASTIC DJ! I really could not have asked for a better person to be at my reception. Rob was the DJ for our May wedding. He was very good about explaining the flow of the event and gave suggestions on the types of music based on our preferences. The online system to rank must-plays and like-to-plays was helpful. I really appreciate that he had the venue bring our meals out first so we could eat and say thank you to all of our guests during dinner!

DJ Dan did a great job at our wedding. He showed up early to set up and even wore a tux. He was very responsive and professional throughout the entire process and kept our guests dancing all night!

I cannot say enough about what an outstanding job Rob did at my daughter's reception!! Rob Sword did an amazing job as DJ for our wedding. Prior to the wedding, he made everything so simple and was very accommodating. His website is set up so you can create your entire playlist from start to finish if you want.

DJ Dan with Sword Sounds did a fabulous job getting my guests to dance and keeping me on the dance floor for most of the night! Everybody had a great time. I really liked his suggestion of having an anniversary dance. It got all the married couples out on the dance floor and was very special to have my grandparents who have been married for 65 years out there too! Sword Sounds did a great job with our music for the ceremony and reception also with the lighting for our reception. I would highly recommend them!

I used Rob Sword with Sword Sounds. Right from the start Rob involved, gave me a call and went over what he did and the things I might like for my wedding. He spent almost an hour on the phone with me answering my questions to make sure he was the right DJ for me, this was before a contract was even signed! Once I signed with Rob, I knew I made a good choice. I asked him if he could help with uplighting my room and he worked with my budget to make sure he could give me what I wanted - I had already been contracted, he did not need to go above and beyond but he did because this is the type of service he provides.

As for the day of the wedding, Rob came early to set up the uplighting and his equipment. After he was finished setting up and making sure everything ran smooth, he came to make sure that my husband & I were well taken care of and asked if we needed any drinks or help with anything. So far beyond our expectations for what a DJ would normally do. Rob provided the music for our ceremony and for our reception and made sure the dance floor was packed ALL NIGHT! He walked around and talked to our guests, asked if they wanted to hear certain songs. He had a little surprise for the crowd by using some volunteers and had everyone on their feet and taking pictures!!

I can go on and on about the excellent service Rob Sword provided. Everyone who attended my wedding had all good things to say and my family will ONLY use Rob Sword in the future! I highly recommend him to every bride!

The event was an Award Dinner at an educational conference, not a wedding. The audience was very diverse. Rob kept them dancing the night away! In fact, he kept them dancing after the initial end time. Someone from the crowd paid him to stay later! During the conference planning meeting I asked if the group wanted the same DJ, and they all said 'YES'. (There are about 20 people in the planning group.) Consequently, I will see Rob again next year, and am looking forward to it.

Rob did an exceptional job of making our wedding run beautifully! My husband's grandmother was our officiant and we had planned a sand ceremony, well amongst her nerves she proceeded to leave this out of our wedding ceremony Rob was quick to jump in and add it to the very beginning of our reception without me even having to ask, this was a very important part of our day to me. During our photo session Rob took it upon himself to ask the servers to bring cocktail hour to us! My husband and I were very happy with Swords Sounds. Rob did a fantastic job. He helped the men with their boutonnieres. The music was perfect right out on the beach for the ceremony. He helped my sister, who was my maid of honor, bustle my dress. Later on in the evening my bustle came apart and he walked right over to me and bustled it again! It was great to see the pictures he took and to read his blog that he posted. We highly recommend him for your wedding AND reception. If you are getting married on the beach PLEASE PLEASE have him do your ceremony, don't use an ipod or a cd player. It is SO worth it, trust me!

Rob Sword of Swords Sounds was a perfect fit for us and our Wedding Ceremony and Reception. He was very professional and great to work with. He met with us and explained how he performs and what to expect. He had a lot of great ideas and plenty of music to choose from. Their website makes it easy to choose the music, plan your day and even make payments. Plus he has a great light set up included in his price and has a lot of extra light options to choose from as well. We used his up-lighting which was awesome and I think he even used a few more lights than we actually paid for to fill the room. He had a great flow of music for our ceremony through cocktail hour and reception. He was a great MC for each part of our special day and a lot of our guests commented on what a great job he did and how much fun they had. We couldn't have had a better DJ and would highly recommend Rob and Sword Sounds for your event.

The music was great and the dance floor was always full. Rob was really attentive to us and what we wanted. He made sure we stayed on time with our event and was happy to stay late to keep the party going. Rob also played all types of music to connect with all of our guest.

Rob is great! No real new news here as his reputation precedes him. He was true to his word, helped me re-bustle my dress, got drinks for us, was totally in charge at the reception. His sound system (minus the new lapel microphone) was top notch. It really did sound like I was walking out to a movie soundtrack at my outdoor beach wedding. He even had the MSU fight song on file after they won the game. He was witty and got the crowd going. I will say he did play one of the few requested Do Not Plays but we got over it. He was just great!

As a nervous bride, he made me very comfortable throughout the entire day. He knew that my husband and I were very strict on our music list and didn't let any songs get through without asking us first. Rob at Sword Sounds is amazing. He will take such great care of you and make your wedding the day you have always dreamed about. He is so professional and accommodating. Robert was EXCELLENT! I met him when he came up with the wedding coordinator to bring my flowers to the wedding suite. He was very helpful! My mom could not stop talking about how Robert made sure he got her a drink while we were all taking pictures. She was so happy. The music was awesome. If you get Robert request that he has people put on the props for YMCA, it was HYSTERICAL! The music was great! We had so many guests complimenting on the music and how friendly Rob was. I would recommend him to anyone. He went above and beyond anything I could have expected and our wedding was wonderful. Before I had decided to go with Rob he called and literally talked to me on the phone for an hour going over EVERY detail. He truly knows what he is doing, he is a pro and doesn't treat your wedding/event like just another gig. Thanks so much Rob!!

Robert Sword provided a spectacular DJ experience for our wedding. He was very friendly and interacted very well with our guests. Robert also has quite an extensive collection of music that will be sure to entertain every guest's unique taste. The only problem that we encountered was that we were excited to have the Y-M-C-A played, with our groomsmen dressing up like the singers and performing a dance, but unfortunately over the course of the night the act did not happen. Other than that, everything was great and would definitely recommend Robert Sword for any bride that would like a very entertaining DJ for their wedding.

I used Sword Sounds for my wedding reception. Rob was my DJ. Setting everything up with him was a total breeze!! My guests LOVED the fact he went around asking for requests. He played most every song I had on my list (that time allowed). He made sure I knew when each mini event (garter, cake, etc) was about to happen so I could get ready & put my mind at ease. If you're looking for a dj and/or officiant in the Tampa area, look no further. I am the mother of the bride, who asked me to find a dj. I contacted a few dj's in the area, and Rob was the most responsive. He called me on the phone, and I liked him right off. He offered his services as an officiant, and also offered to pre-order the kids' marriage license. He did all he said he would do, and his fees were very reasonable.

Our guests are still talking about how beautiful the ceremony was. Rob fit in all the special prayers and verses that we asked. After the ceremony, he brought cold drinks to the wedding party while pictures were being taken.

I am so happy that we hired Rob as dj. He absolutely made the celebration! Before the wedding, we didn't know the groom's family or any of their friends. After Rob got everyone up dancing, we felt like we had known each other for years. We asked him to stay an extra hour because we were having so much fun. Thank you, Rob! Rob Sword from Sword Sounds was a fabulous choice to DJ our wedding. I heard amazing reviews before my wedding and I had total confidence in his work when I booked him. He definitely did not disappoint! First, we had some time issues prior to the wedding and needed him a couple extra hours; he had no problem adjusting his time schedule for us at the last minute.

At the wedding, he helped out all day! He was very social with family and friends and was always there to lend a helping hand. He took care of my throw away garter, brought us drinks during our formal pictures, and he even helped my mom to bustle my dress!

And of course, the music was wonderful. He really got the crowd going during the reception, and threw in a few surprises for the guests. My guests not only enjoyed the music, but they really enjoyed Rob as a person and I think that made all the difference for us.

Robert at Sword Sound was just amazing. He was such a great help to us. He made sure everthing was going smoothly when he had arrived and like a half hour before ceremony he came to my room and the grooms room and asked if we needed anything. He even helped out with our Rabbi, we had a bit of confusion for the signing of the ketuba. After the ceremony he went up and got cocktail hour ready and after everything was good he came down a number of times to the beach while we were taking pictures and gave us drinks and was telling us how the cocktail hour was coming along. After he even grabbed us appetizers so we could try our cocktail food. He was so much help and did an amazing job. I asked for his professional opion on songs and helped me out with picking out the song list. He even went around to alll my family and friends and asked what they would like to hear too. Rob was awesome! He is able to provide the type of DJ you are looking for. Whether your crowd is a party crowd or lower key... He can get them dancing and keep them going. He played all my requested songs (which was an extensive list). I really appreciated the drinks he brought to us when we arrived and the updates he gave me throughout the night. Wow, where do we start. First of all, you deserve way more than a 5 star rating. Rob went way out of the way to make sure every aspect of our wedding was perfect and worry free. Rob was our Officiant and DJ for the ceremony and reception, but he was way more than just those 2 things. He seemed to be everywhere and was taking care of our every need (drinks/food/special requests), you name it he would take care of it. We couldn't have asked for more or been happier with our choice. We would recommend Rob Sword and Sword Sounds to anyone and everyone in need of a DJ or Officiant. He definitely will not disappoint!

Rob was the man. He was super flexible with meeting up with us and planning for the wedding. He gave us great suggestions to make our ceremony original and kept the dance floor full when it was time to party. He also was on us and the entire wedding party like glue to make sure if we needed food, snacks, or drinks while everything was going on, and took care of it himself.

I can not say enough good things about Rob Sword and his company. Rob also officiated our wedding and I know what some people thought when I told them my DJ was going to marry us "CHEEZY!" But they were proven wrong the day of because he is the most professional person i have met. He spoke clearly and wasn't cheezy at all. My friends and family kept complimenting me on him all night. I'm so glad I decided to use him as our officiant.

As a DJ? Perfect!! He got people up and dancing that I would never expect to be up there. Even my anti dancing brothers in law were up and doing The Twist! And when my neighbors 14 year old daughter caught the bouquet he made a good decision by not doing the garter on the girl thing. She was in tears just thinking about it so I'm glad he made the decision.

I was very worried that with a small intimate wedding that no one was going to dance, but I was totally wrong. He got people on the dance floor that I never expected. Everyone had so much fun. Many of my guests stated he was the best DJ!! He goes above and beyond. He brought Matt and me drinks and hor Devours out to the beach where we were taking pictures. Communicating with Rob was a breeze, and their website makes planning your music soooooooo easy. Rob is well organized and is very experienced... he'll throw you a great party. Highly recommended!

Enough cannot be said to how awesome Sword Sounds is! Rob kept the night moving and people kept saying how great our DJ was!! They could not believe how friendly he was and easy to talk to. Rob made sure that Kevin and I had the night of our dreams and that everything went off without any problems! He is more than a DJ. He helped out in so many areas that we don't know if the night would gone as smooth if he was not there. This is a great company that helped make our night perfect. Rob, with the assistance of the lighting and music, kept the guests engaged and on the dance floor. We wanted to make sure our guests had a blast and they did! We will definitely be using Rob for all of our DJ needs in the future. We are also making sure he is the DJ for all of our family and friends now too! Trust me, if Sword Sounds DJ's your wedding.... Robert Sword is absolutely amazing. You can tell from the moment you meet him that he is dedicated to making your wedding a special one. Everything was completely customizable from the song list, to the lights, and everything in between. Robert Sword consistantly went the extra mile to ensure our wedding reception went off smoothly and that everyone had fun from teens to grand parents. Rob kept the partying going plain and simple. He adhered to the "must play" list and asked me if it was okay to play some requests that came in that were on our "no play" list. Since I'm game for anything to keep the party going, we rolled with the punches and went with everything and anything the crowd wanted. Seriously, the dance floor was packed from the first slow dance song to the very last second before our exit. What an incredibly fun dance party. I haven't danced that hard in a very long while. Rob Sword is the best, hands down. He was a wonderful DJ- kept the dance floor packed all night, but also he helped with the smallest things, like helping move chairs out of the buffet room, and holding my train, and getting us drinks during pictures... such a pleasure to work with and by far my favorite vendor we hired!!

Rob Sword of Sword Sounds was great! He took the time to organize all of the time line for the wedding reception with me, and place music to each of the events. I am not that music savvy and didn't know what I should pick or what certain songs were and he was more than happy to help explain it or play it so I could pick. He did a wonderful job helping to get the guests up and moving. He was also the DJ at my sisters wedding in 2008, and did a wonderful job at her wedding as well. I would reccommend using Sword Sounds.

Very organized and great fun to work with. Thanks for bringing us our cocktails and an hors d'oeuvres plate immediately following the ceremony, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to try any! The extra customer service really made a big difference and is hard to find! You were very easy-going but kept us on track, perfect!

From the speed of his responses to my communications, professionalism during our ceremony, taking requests from guests and getting them on the dance floor, bringing us food and drink between the ceremony and reception, coordinating and keeping us on track of our schedule, etc. we could not have dreamed up a better person for the job. Robert Sword is an amazing DJ. He did such a wonderful job at our wedding. Everyone had so much fun and he just kept the party going. Not only did he DJ, he would go and get us drinks, light candles, poured chamapagne and even bussled my dress back when someone stepped on it. I don't what we would have done without him. We really enjoyed having Rob as our DJ. Rob talked to us before the wedding to see what ideas we had and also told us some things he liked to do. He did a good job staying in tune with what we wanted and also keeping our guests involved at our reception. He was very profesional when it came to keeping our suprises, surprises. He did everything he could to make the reception run as smooth as possible. He even helped my wife with her bussel when nobody else could.

Rob was just AMAZING!!!!! From the first time we met him, we knew he was the one for us! He was such a pleasure to work with while planning the wedding (he returned emails and phone calls very quickly and met with us when we needed him to with no hesitation!) and was wonderful on our wedding day. Everything he says that he will do, he does... and so much more :) His personal touches made the ceremony very special for us. He brought all of us drinks while we were getting pictures after the ceremony since we were not able to make it to the cocktail hour, everyone loved it! And at the reception he got EVERYONE dancing, he even got my Grandmother to head the conga line. It was so much more than we ever hoped for! We had the most amazing day and we have Rob to thank for that! We HIGHLY recommend him!!!!!

Out of the entire wedding planning endeavor, Sword Sounds was the absolute best contract for services we made. Throughout the whole months-long process, Robert Sword was incredibly helpful and responsive. We got a great deal on an officiant / ceremony music / reception music combo, every one of my questions got answered in a timely manner, there was no problem with the contract, and I even got a phone call a couple of weeks before the wedding to go over details. The website is interactive; you can request songs for your reception there, assigning each song to which particular event (first dance, etc) you'd like it to play, if you like. There is even a "do not play" list, which is amazing. The freedom and flexibility offered by Sword Sounds for every step of the services they provide is just really invaluable. And on the big day Robert Sword was prompt, confident and capable in directing people and events according to the timeline, friendly to us and all of the guests, and extremely helpful in general (I even noticed him wandering around during some of the songs mingling and straightening up programs by the door!). I cannot say enough about how happy we were with Sword Sounds. Rob was the perfect DJ. He did the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. He arrived and set up very early. He spent some time with us taking pictures beforehand. He played everything we asked him to and did an excellent job making the choices that we left up to him. He got the party started and kept it going and we received many compliments on how smoothly everything flowed. He often checked with us and the wedding party and families to make sure we had everything we needed and was a gentleman and a professional.

Rob was great! He served as our DJ, officiant, and also helped our site coordinator make everything run smoothly. Leading up to the wedding, I emailed him questions pretty regularly and he always got back to me within 24 hours, and often his reply was almost immediate. During the planning, he was completely flexible. I wrote our entire ceremony script and sent it over to him, he looked it over, made a few suggestions, sent it back and was great at the ceremony. I had to be difficult and pick several songs for the ceremony and our first dance that weren't in his music library; he went out and got the songs for me, no problem.

At the reception, Rob took song requests, mingled with the guests, made sure my husband and I had everything we needed, and kept everybody dancing all night. Even when things got a little weird and went out of order for a while, he rolled with it, let me call the shots and smoothed over everything. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone planning any event... wedding, birthday party, work function... Rob's your guy!
