Szal Design specializes in crafting beautiful art glass objects, from art glass miniatures to larger stained glass works, including contemporary lamps and traditional windows and panels. Our small pieces make great gifts and favors, and we are happy to work with you to create a custom design. All of our products use only the finest mouth-blown glass. We believe in using all of our materials, and have created randomly-designed upcycled miniatures using scraps of glass from our larger projects.

Owner and founder Tim Szal has experience in making over 100 of these miniatures at a time, both for weddings and for non-profit Gala events. Bulk pricing is available, so please check out our website!

Describe the types of favors and gifts that you offer:

Favors fall into 3 categories.

1. Bullseyes - These hanging suncatchers are flattened discs of blown glass approximately three inches in diameter, and come in twelve different colors.

2. Upcycled Miniatures - These hanging suncatchers are made from random scraps of different colors and types of glass. They are designed on a whim and take various forms and colors based upon the glass I have on hand and my state of mind at the time.

3. Custom Favors - I am more than happy to work with you (and of course your budget) to create your very own favor or gift for your wedding

What specialty products, such as themed or monogramed items, do you provide?

I can work with you to develop a custom product that is personalized to your wedding.

What is your average turnaround time, from initial contact to shipment?

Turnaround times vary depending on the item. Upcycled Miniatures typically run from 2-3 weeks, and bullseyes and custom orders are around 3-6 weeks. However, I can in some instances expedite the process, I just depends on the situation. In general, the larger the order, the longer it takes. I do keep a small number of items in stock, so some small orders can be shipped the same day. 

I would recommend starting the conversation as soon as possible to avoid adding stress in the weeks before your big day.

Are you able to meet clients in person to showcase your product?

Of course. While my business does not have a physical storefront I am more than happy to meet in person to discuss how my services can fit into your wedding.

Is there a minimum order requirement?

No. I do offer bulk pricing on my Bullseyes and Upcycled Miniatures for orders over 50 pieces.
