TAD AKERS Event Facility

Kay and her team were amazing to work with!! The day of the wedding all our guests were raving about how polite and attentive the staff was! They took care of everything that night! I would definitely recommend Tad Akers to anyone!! They made my reception absolutely perfect! It was beautiful!!!

I loved the fact that at Tad Aker's it is already beautifully decorated and they do a lot of services all in one. I was extremely happy about my cake from cakes by jula she did an amazing job with not only our wedding cake but also with my grooms cake. The only thing I did not like about the venue was my DJ, he did not play a lot of songs that I requested and suggested and played songs that are not in my generation but it was still very beautiful and I loved it. Tad Akers will help coordinate your entire wedding and with a very busy individual as myself I felt this was just extremely helpful to pull my wedding together. I loved the ceremony and reception. I did a very romantic theme that was candle lit and loved that I had sparklers for my exit. With Tad Akers being an historical building in League City and with myself and groom raised in League City and we currently live in the historic district it was very dear to my heart to marry there. I would choose Tad Aker again if I could do it all again :). Teresa, Leanne and Kay are wonderful.

I LOVED having my wedding reception at Tad Akers. It was very beautiful and fairly stress-free; they did all of the work for me! I'm not a party planner or a decorator, so I loved being able to hand that job off to someone else. The staff was extremely helpful and available for my questions at any time. I had a really tight budget, and they went out of their way to help me keep costs down. I would absolutely recommend Tad Akers to anyone looking for a reception location.

Teresa the owner has a fabulous personality, was more than accommodating and was a pleasure to work with! Her staff was very helpful and patience with me when planning the reception. I would ask some questions over and over and they never got annoyed or short with me. They even told me if I wanted to come in or call and just vent about the stress of planning a wedding, etc that I could do that as well. I thought that was great because every bride needs to vent…haha. I loved how they setup all the appointments with the vendors and kept me up to date on everything. I thought I was going to be stressed at the reception but Kay took care of everything and we didn’t have to worry about anything and everyone loved it! I would definitely recommend this place…Teresa and Kay are awesome!!

Tad Akers makes you feel super special no matter what your situation is...if you are the bride, then you are in charge down to every last detail. They schedule all of your vendor appointments with you and keep in constant contact through email. Everyone there is so sweet and special and all they want is for your day to go exactly the way you have always dreamed. Its really like being a princess, which is how it should be. Its absolutely beautiful inside...perfect for wedding pictures. Every detail was in place and spot on. This is the place to get married.

The staff at Tad Akers made my reception planning and wedding day wonderful. They were able to accommodate my requests and schedule. Everyone there was so helpful throughout our engagement. Kay stayed late a couple nights to meet with me during the planning process.

The set up was even more beautiful than I imagined it and the extra stuff I brought (table toppers, pictures, etc.) were set up just like I wanted them to be!

On our wedding day, Katie Beth was very sweet and took care of everything. She had everything just like we wanted it and guided us through everything during the reception.

I highly recommend Tad Akers for anyone considering a reception in the Clear Lake area. They are very professional and really nice! I loved working with them!

Very nice people, easy to work with.

Everything leading up to the wedding was great. They are really flexible about allowing outside decorations, and are very quick to respond to emails. It does get VERY expensive very quickly, but it includes almost everything you need. The only things not included were photographer and florist.

There were only 2 things that bothered me:
1) the way the price per person SKYROCKETED after you had locked in your number. We are talking, trippled. I guess I just don't understand why it should cost that much more when nothing additional except food has been added.
2) Their DJ was not great. I was assured he would be the one running the show and providing smooth transitions, but I ended up having to dictate when we were doing the cake, garter toss, etc. because he just wan't on the ball.

Other than that, it was an easy, stress free experience. I would go with...

The ladies at Tad are amazing. Kay helped us with our wedding from start to finish and honestly I would not have changed a thing. Although I picked a separate florist, she still called an confirmed everyone's arrival times so the only thing I was worried about on my wedding day after the ceremony was enjoying it all.

It seemed the agreement kept changing and we were left unsure of exactly what we were paying for. fi i had to do it all over again i probably wouldnt choose to do business with Tad Akers. I think that there are probably just as nice facilities available for a better bargain

We loved our wedding at Tad Akers. Our only problem was with the security. Apparently they would not let our bridesmaids and groomsmen fancy up our truck on site at Tad Akers .This was bothersome to our friends who were just try to make our day special. The security guard on site was very friendly at the beginning and then a major problem during this.
Also, for your smoking friends, make sure they are warned ahead of time that Tad Akers is a completely smoke-free facility (this means no where at all on their grounds can anyone smoke). This did not bother me as I am a non-smoker but for your guests that are this can be bothersome.
As far as the food, Akers uses Cafe Express as one of their catering vendors and they are awesome!!!! Everyone said how much they like the food.
Overall, it was a great day! The staff at Tad Akers did a great job!

Great team, beautiful location. It fit perfect with my rustic elegance theme. THe ladies are great, understanding and so HELPFUL. Theresa and Kay made my entire wedding process so relaxing. They even give you a free Bridezilla pass (not that i need it)

The ladies at TAD AKERS were absolutely AMAZING! They took care of everything and all I had to do was make the decisions of what we wanted. They are very flexible and kind-hearted. Without them, our day wouldn't have turned out perfect. I highly recommend TAD AKERS to anyone.

They were able to meet all my needs and were quick to answer all my questions and offer suggestions when asked. I highly recommend this place. All the recommended vendors were awesome. From the the cake to the DJ, everything was just what I hoped for. It was well worth the money!

The overall service recieved from Tad Akers was wonderful. I am quite the control freak & they somehow managed to make sure I was comfortable at all times. The planning process was very easy with their knowledge and assistance. Our reception ended up being a wonderful experience, more than we could have imagined. I would definately refer anyone looking for a banquet facility to Tad Akers. The atmosphere & the ladies you work with are both very charming!

Finding a place like Tad Akers to have my wedding reception was like a dream come true! Not only is the building gorgeous but the staff is amazing and the prices are very reasonable. My husband and I planned everything on a low, military budget and were still able to have what we wanted at Tad Akers. Planning a wedding is extremely stressful but, the ladies at Tad Akers helped me through and made sure that everything was the way I wanted. The night of the actual wedding everything was perfect and ran very smoothly! I couldn't be happier with the outcome of my wedding!!! Tad Akers Event Facility is wonderful and I would reccommend it to anyone plannng any type of special event.

Tad Akers was absolutely awesome. Working with all of the ladies there was just a wonderful experience. Honestly, they all feel like family now. They are so organized, meticulous & efficient, and yet they make it all seem so relaxed -- it's really so great. It can be such a stressful time planning a wedding, but they just have everything flow so easily! They help you with everything you could possibly think of. We just love them so much and would love to see them again. Their gentle guidance, their graciousness, and kindness was such a God-send. Tad Akers is beautifully decorated with unique antiques and such. It has an unbelievable ambiance - so welcoming and warm. We really can't say enough about them, except that we couldn't have done it without you!

These People are Awesome. They took care of everything for my wedding. The facility is beautiful at night. I was able to be in every detail of the wedding. They gave great advice, and they were very knowledgeable of local vendors we could use to supply us with flowers, cake ETC. They are Awesome, this is definitely the place to be. I have not one REGRET!!!! Thanks Theresa and Staff!!!

The wedding reception was wonderful and everyone said it was the best wedding they've been to! They compare other wedding receptions to ours! TAD Akers is fabulous. I grew up knowing the owner's sons and I felt completely at ease leaving everything to them. TAD Akers removes the stress from the bride and makes it an enjoyable and fun planning experience!

This is a wonderful space to hold your wedding. The space is beautiful and can be customized to what you are looking for. Has a wonderful connection for food, cake, and DJ services.

I thought everything was handled well especially since our wedding occurred within 40 days of setting a date. Teresa and Kay handled most items which minimized our stress. It was great to relax and let them handle the details especially on the day of the wedding.

I am very pleased especially with the manner that they handled 250+ guests arriving during a downpour. I was amazed at how the staff moved tables and chairs to transform different areas over the course of the event. The only thing I would have changed is to ensure that tables and chairs were set up in the dancing/reception area as promised. Having only room for everyone to stand caused the evening to end sooner. Having no seating for the elderly was difficult.

Find a new security guard. Other than that everything else was perfect and the facility was fabulous. The staff made the experience just wonderful. Everyone was very helpful to make our day special and were flexible when the weather did not exactly cooperate.

They are an all inclusive wedding venue. The site was very intimate and beautiful. They are willing to help with any aspect of your big day. They were very professional and very caring. We had an awesome time and they provided perfect service

Tad Akers was simply amazing. They were such a huge help during my whole wedding process. They took care of everything for me. All I had to do was be available on the phone and they made all my appointments and booked everything for me.

I think the wonderful people at Tad Akers aren't just there to do business, they really do care about their clients on a personal level. My first wedding venue went out of business and they truly cared about what I was going through. They made every effort to help in any way they could. We got a wedding planned from scratch in 3 months!

The staff at Tad Akers was fantastic. We were planning a wedding in League City while living in New York. We had three days over Memorial Day weekend to meet with all our venues. The staff at Tad Akers not only took time out of their holiday to meet with us, they help set up appointments with the officiant, bakery, and dj for us that weekend as well. They even helped keep the party going when a torrential rainfall and tornado threw our timing off during our wedding. I would recommend them to anyone with a small to medium sized wedding looking for the most for their money.

We had to plan our Wedding from 2000 miles away in New York and they were always flexible in meeting our wishes. We were actually able to finalize everything in a 3 day weekend! They scheduled all of our meeting (venue,cake,flowers,music,etc...) so that we had enough time to get everything we wanted. Everyone was a pleasure to work with and they had our wishes and dreams first most and didn't try to change our minds just did everything to make it "our" special day.

The staff was very easy to work with and helpful too. I had very few problems with the reception. They seamed to really care about me and my day.

Tad Akers is a beautiful Facility and the staff there is wonderful to work with. They do an amazing job!!!

I love working with the ladies at Tad Acres. The facility is quaint, understated and charming...setting the perfect tone for any event. It really doesn't take much to have a unforgettable and one-of-a-kind event with Theresa, Kay and the team. I promise that if you work with them your expectations will be exceeded!
