I think my wedding cake was even better than the picture. I was sad I only got one piece! So many guests got seconds and thirds which is a huge compliment. She also did our groom's cake - a new york style cheesecake that my husband loved--and that's saying a lot since he's a cheesecake enthusiast! While we were in her little shop choosing our cake, so many customers came in buying various cakes and telling us she had done their wedding cake and they hadn't stopped going to her since. How many cake bakers can say that?

Everyone I spoke to recommended Take the Cake. This vendor had a lot of books to look through for ideas. She was very knowledgable and was able to make our "Wii" shaped grooms cake. The wedding cake was exactly as I wanted it and we were able to make all the layers different flavors. She did check on how heavy our cake topper would be so there weren't any accidents on the day. The cake stand deposit is never deposited, the check is kept and then returned after the wedding. The location was hard to find, it is located in a suburb and the sign is small.

Did both the wedding cake and grooms cake. I described what I wanted and she did EXACTLY what I wanted! Both cakes were complemented, especially the Wii shaped cake. She never said no to any of my ideas and had books of things that she had done previously so I could get even more ideas. both cakes were FANTASTIC tasting. She was recommended by 4 different people.
