Takes The Cake

Takes the Cake did a fabulous job on our rehearsal dinnner cake. Hubby is a fisherman so I got him a caketopper with a bride dragging a groom away along with his fishing gear. They took the topper and created a whole lake scene including water, trees and rocks. It was fantastic and very creative. The cake was great to boot. Hubby was surprised and said "it rocked." Guests loved the whimsical decoration and the freshness. Highly recommend.

We absolutely adored our wedding cake, and got tons of compliments from our guests (quite a few of my friends told me that it was "too cute to eat" or that it was the "cutest wedding cake" they'd ever seen). I actually didn't get to eat any of it at the wedding, but we had the top layer left over and instead of waiting a year to try it I dug in the next day. Although I found the outer frosting a bit too sweet for my taste, the cake itself (a very light lemon flavor) and the strawberry mousse filling were amazing. Oh, and the price was significantly lower than that of the other bakeries we checked out.
