Tall Timbers

The setup for our gazebo ceremony at Tall Timbers was beautiful. My day-of assistant Jamie was very helpful during our rehearsal and helped my fiance safety pin his bowtie (which was missing the hook and eye closure). Nanette and Deidra were both great every time we talked with them. There was some confusion about the number of tables we needed; they weren't sure they would have enough champagne glasses since there were three other weddings that day. However, the issue was resolved the same day (two days before the wedding).

During the planning process, the wedding coordinator left Tall Timbers and there was a period of time where we could not get into contact with anyone by phone and would have to wait a week or so for a return email. Also, when we arrived for the rehearsal, the parking attendant there for the wedding that day had no idea where we were supposed to park or what to do.

The food and service the day of the wedding were great, and everything seemed to go as smoothly as possible.

We had a wonderful morning wedding at Tall Timbers, the Food was amazing! The reason I gave responsiveness a low rating was because we were have a few email mail timing issues, but once that got worked out everything was great! I would recommend the morning wedding, because it's a way better value, it isn't as hot in the morning for a summer wedding, and then you can have an after party like we did at my parents that went well into the night. It was an all day event. One of the things I really enjoyed from them was that we were able to take our leftover food, which was great because we used what we had for the after party, and a few meals after that. I would recommend this place for sure, friendly, profession, great value, and made a wonderful day thank you for giving us a great day.

The arbor ceremony site was beautiful. Every staff member was very helpful and helped everything proceed smoothly. The food is absolutely delicious.

Overall, Tall Timbers did an amazing job for our recent wedding reception, and on an extremely busy holiday weekend where they were fully booked for afternoon and evening weddings. The only slight issue we ran into was that sometimes we did not always coordinate or speak with the same person when we called or came for meetings, but even in spite of that, the staff were all amazingly helpful in planning our wedding since we were coordinating everything long-distance from another state.

Everyone at Tall Timbers was extremely helpful and flexible when we were actually in town for tastings, showings, and especially during the final week before the wedding in delivering items and setting up last minute details. Another plus to the outstanding service was during the ceremony the staff ensured that the VIPs all had food and drinks, which was great because the food was amazing, and the buffet service served on the wedding day was just as good as the individual portions we tried at our one-on-one tastings.

The staff helped coordinate all of the vendors before the reception without having to contact or distract us from the rest of the activities we had going on during the wedding week, and everything went incredibly smoothly during the reception. Everyone had a fabulous time, and after the wedding the staff was also helpful in getting the items we accidentally left behind back to us immediately. They offered great value for what you receive, and I'm only sorry that our reception couldn't have lasted longer!

This venue was perfect for our May wedding. They were willing to work with us to stay within our budget and it's such a beautiful facility and property. The staff was very professional, and made sure all the details were taken care of. The food was excellent. We got the lasangna (brainfart on the spelling), and it was fantstic. They packaged all our leftovers in containers for us so extra food wasn't money waisted. The office staff (Nanette) was wonderful about getting back to me promptly, either by phone or e-mail. It may have been later in the day, but I ALWAYS heard from her that day.

I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this place for any event. Weddings especially. Our wedding was spectacular, and one of the most amazing days of my life. Thank you all Tall Timbers staff!

It is a great place for the price! My bridal attendant was very great! They made my day special!

I was very happy with Tall Timbers! The food was delicious, although the meat was rather tough. I loved having a ceremony site and reception site in the same exact place. Wedding coordinators were so helpful through the planning process as well as on the day of the wedding. I also suggest having your wedding on a Friday or other off day. We had 2 hours on Thursday to decorate the Oak Fireside room, plus another hour outside to rehearse. On Friday, the day of our wedding, we weren't stressed about anything because it was all taken care of the day before. This would not have happened if we got married on a Saturday! I recommend Tall Timbers!

We used Tall Timbers for our wedding back in June, they were very accomadating to all our needs. Everytime we had a question they were quick to get back with us. They had one of their workers help with everything the whole time, which was nice...I was surprise to see fresh fruit and water waiting for us when we arrived, which was really nice while we were getting ready. I do wish the bridal room was a little bigger. The food was fatastic! and everything was awesome. Thanks Mel & Ricky

The staff was very helpful. The food was wonderful and we received several compliments about it. The only thing that was sort of annoying is that you only have the bridal suite for a few hours, which means you really need to have everything cleared out before the actual ceremony begins. This is just kind of stressful.

The staff at Tall Timbers was amazing! They went above and beyond to make our day very special!

We looked at Tall Timbers the summer before our wedding (May 2010) and loved it. The only reason we did not use the venue is location. DH is from Columbus, but my entire family lives in Springfield and Dayton. The distance was more than I was willing to have guests travel. Besides that one drawback, we loved the atmosphere, prices, staff, etc. a lot.

Tammy (a banquet server) was amazing. She walked around with me (the bride) getting my food, she made sure everything was at the table that myself, my groom and also my wedding party needed. She got us an extra chair, over all she was just extremelly helpful on our wedding day!!
The owner was pushy and didn't want to explain much detail about anything. The food wasn't good...thankfully Tammy gave me a steak knife, while everyone else at the wedding tried cutting their roast beef with a butter knife. Our whole wedding party was disappointed that they didn't supply everyone with a steak knife. Or else make their food tender so butter knifes could be used.

Great to work with, they were on top of everything, called to tell me a few days ahead when we had something due. Overall, they were very flexible, and they let us decorate the reception hall (with no restrictions) the day before our wedding, which was a HUGE help! The food was awesome and displayed beautifully, the staff working the reception was very professional and catered to our every need. You can bring your own alcohol, which they will serve, which saves you a ton of money. Very great value for your money. I have nothing bad to say about this vendor!

I thought this venue was a good value for the money. It was also nice to be able to purchase your own beer and liquor and bring it in. This saved us a lot of money in the end. The food was good, however one of our guests found a piece of plastic in their salad. We brought this to the attention of Tall Timbers and they did nothing to fix the situation, including not refunding our money for that persons meal.

Tall Timbers did a great job, and I only have a few things that I wish would have gone differently. They used plastic cups at the bar (which I didn't know about prior to the event), they hacked up the cake when they were cutting it (and they didn't even take it back in the kitchen to cut/plate it), the chicken was a bit tough, and the roast was supposed to be sliced before being put on the buffet but they did a carving station instead :(

But...don't let any of this steer you away from TT. The Chef is WONDERFUL and is very good at his trade and the ladies in the office were usually very accommodating when working through the planning stations. Sometimes it was hard to get ahold of them over the phone, but I think it is b/c there are only a few of them in the office at a time. The Oak/Fireside room was beautiful and TT did a great job helping us set up decorations. There is plenty of parking, and the guests all had a great time. I definitely recommend Tall Timbers for your event!

This place was very nice if you are looking for an outdoor wedding. The set up and tear down they take care of. THe manager even walks the bride down the food buffet and gets her plate for her. I loved it. If you are oging to have it there, go for a week night, you save so much more money.

One of our favorite facilities especially since they can also host the ceremony. Staff is easy to work with, the food and service is outstanding, and we're always sure to have a successful event.

A wonderful location for both your ceremony and reception. I've been playing here for many years and look forward to each and every time I'm asked to play at Tall Timbers. Highly recommended!
