My wife and I are extremely happy we choose Ted as our wedding photographer. We spent months trying to choose a photographer and looked at dozens of websites. We knew when we met Ted that he was perfect for our wedding. If you look at Ted's site, you know that he's very talented as his work speaks for itself. What you can't pick up off a website is the photographer's professional demeanor. I've been to many a wedding where the photographer comes across as pushy and intrusive and generally get in the way of guests trying to have a god time. This wasn't the case at all with Ted. Ted is very laid back, yet managed to get all the pictures we requested and more. He had some great ideas for shots that we never would have thought of on our own. Ted was personable and accessible throughout the entire process. He paid great attention to detail and sought our input each step of the way. Also, he was extremely quick. We had all our photos (full rights), canvas, album and parent albums all within less than two month of the wedding. It was great working with Ted. Of all our vendors, Ted was the most involved and invested in us having a great time on our wedding day. When you look at his work, it's obvious he's very creative and more than just a wedding photographer, but an artist. His work is only matched by his work ethic and professional demeanor. Many of our already married friends have suffered from "photographer envy" once they saw our albums. Don't let this happen to you!

About Ted Nghiem Photography

I love life and culture. It is very fluid, robust, and extremely dynamic. Just as much as I like to shoot, I also love to live it! I, even, love to bust a move, regardless of my bad dancing skills.

As a wedding and lifestyle photographer, based in Princeton, NJ, I love to photograph the vivid emotions and eccentric lifestyles we all lead. That also is how you can define my shooting style. Dynamic, playful, sometimes a little eccentric, and artistic. Well, I was actually told I do a lot of guerilla shooting too....

Also as a globe trotter, image documenting the local cultures has always been one of my passions. How I go about photographing my adventures, is also, how I go about photographing weddings.

How many photographers do you work with?

Usually by myself, but a 2nd shooter would be made available.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

Yes! I love weddings, so I wouldn't miss it for the world!

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

I would never book two weddings for one day, however, I would do two a weekend, e.g., one on Saturday and the other on Sunday.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

Yes

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

All professional gear, two camera bodies, three lenses to cover all the needed ranges and macro-ing, two external flashes, extra batteries for the cameras and flashes, many Compact Flash cards, and flash diffusers.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

Yes.

Do you charge hourly or full day?

Full day

Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?

If requested I will make time for over time. Hourly rates is $300 per hour.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

A vendor meal is required.

Do you charge for travel?

Depends on the distance, if it is within reasonable travel from my place than no I do not charge for travel.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

Depending on the type of sessions, eSessions could be within a week, weddings could be up to two to three weeks.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?

Initial proofs will be online

How long can the client keep the proofs?

Since it is an online gallery, as long as the web lasts. But after the online proofs are seen, the physical dvd of the photographs will be shipped or delivered to you ASAP which are yours to keep.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

Yes. Though I do transfer limited rights to the clients to be used to for personal use only. The photographs cannot be sold for commercial profit.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

Yes.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?

No.

Will images be available for viewing online?

Yes.

What kind of albums do you offer?

Flush mounted, custom made, albums.

When will the client get the final album?

When it is done to be honest.
