The 1927 Lake Lure Inn and Spa

Paula Benson and the entire staff at the Inn made my wedding a dream come true. They were there every step of the way, and made the experience an amazing one.

The Lake Lure Inn was a fantastic venue to work with. First of all, you can't beat the stunning beauty of the venue. We only had our reception at the Inn and were married in Hendersonville. The dining room, veranda and terrace were awesome, even in November. The cost was very reasonable, the food was excellent, the bar was excellent. Paula was our on site coordinator and she was very helpful even when I emailed her constantly with questions. If considering the Inn for a fall/winter wedding I would still recommend. The heaters on the veranda make such a difference! Steven and I can't thank the Inn and their staff enough for their help.

We held both our ceremony and reception at the Inn in October and were extremely impressed by the level of service we received. We initially visited the Inn without an appointment after driving out from Charlotte to visit another local venue and finding the space and service very disappointing. When we arrived, the man at the front desk was nice enough to step away and show us around, answer as many questions as he could and make sure we had all the contact information for the events department. After our visit, I was nervous that the Inn was out of our price range, but was pleasantly surprised by the flexibility in their package options. Patrick was fantastic every step of the way - especially scheduling time with us each time we vistited and making sure all our questions were answered during the planning, and checking in on us the weekend of the wedding as well. We held a bonfire/ BBQ on the beach the night before as well and our guests all commented how wonderful the food was at both events. The staff was attentive and went out of their way to make sure everything went perfectly (which it did). The Inn's staff had tons of great recommendations for all our out of town guests and everyone had a fantastic weekend. I am so appreciative of all their efforts to make our event perfect and highly recommend holding an event here.

My husband and I had our wedding at The 1927 Lake Lure Inn and Spa just a few weeks ago, and it was a wonderful experience. I simply cannot say enough good things about how well we and our guests were treated by Inn staff - they went above and beyond to help us and were incredibly flexible and accommodating. The Lake Lure Inn & Spa is a beautiful location for a wedding event. We used the Gazebo area for the ceremony and the Inn dining room, veranda and poolside for the reception. The Staff and Patrick Bryant, the event planner for the hotel, were remarkably helpful and friendly, professional and knowledgable, and we felt like everyone there went out of their way to make our event the most perfect one ever! From the very first meeting with Patrick, he put our minds at ease and reassured us that they would do everything possible to make our event exactly what we wanted - and they did! The venue was affordable and our budget was always considered and adhered to in the planning by the planner and caterer. Our day was the perfect day and many thanks goes to all the wonderful people of Lake Lure Inn and Spa!

Everything was perfect! The food was delicious and the table setting was wonderful. Patrick was the perfect director, available when and as needed with suggestions and ability to fix what ever was needed. The wedding cake was beautiful and the best I have ever tasted. The photographer and musician taken from your vendor list (James Barr and Regina Holder) were excellent.
I would recommend the Inn to anyone for a wedding. As the mother of the bride I had a very relaxed day to enjoy the wedding without worries and concerns.

We loved having our Wedding at Lake Lure Inn on 06.11.11 ... The venue is beautiful, the staff is friendly, the food is delicious, the Inn is an intimate setting and our guests loved the entire weekend. We had a bonfire beach party in place of our rehearsal dinner and it was gorgeous to be on the beach at night. Our guests loved it! The photos we have of our wedding day and reception are stunning with the backdrop of the mountains and the Inn. Since our wedding was a destination wedding for our guests, they loved having the Inn to stay and play all weekend. Some hiked Chimney Rock, took photos all over the property and others took the boat tour! I am so happy we had our wedding weekend at Lake Lure Inn and I highly recommend it! Patrick--who runs the place--has also become our friend!

My daughter's wedding was Sunday, May 22, 2011 and, except for some extremely warm weather, a more perfect day was not possible for the wedding. Patrick was a lifesaver in more ways than one and everyone went above and beyond to help make our day memorable.

We had our Son's wedding and reception at the Lake Lure Inn on 5/21/11. Paula was our coordinator. She did a great job of helping us plan the overall event. The staff was absolutely wonderful, very professional and extremely focused on providing excellent service. The food was delicious and was served to our guests in a timely manner. We had a wonderful time and would recommend the Lake Lure Inn as a excellent location for your wedding!

The Lake Lure Inn and Spa is the perfect atmosphere for a wedding. It's classy, it's quaint and the workers there are very attentive to helping you. I needed very little decoration as this historic inn was all the decoration you really need! About the food: everyone RAVED about the filet mignon. I wish I had gotten it. The salmon turned out to be a little dry. But that is the only negative thing I could say about this place. Paula Benson was a great help with everything. I highly recommend. We will be coming back again and again! For a classy wedding- THIS IS THE PLACE :)

I cannot say enough good things about our wedding at the Lake Lure Inn. The entire weekend was absolutely perfect! Below are my top 5 reasons to consider the Inn for your wedding:

5. The beautiful location. Whether you're at the lake or at the Inn, everything is picture perfect. Morning rain prevented us from having our ceremony out at the lake, so we moved it to the Roosevelt Hall. It looked absolutely beautiful (and was not as hot as the lake!). Our rain back-up wasn't an old stuffy ballroom in a random hotel; it was a beautiful dance hall that made a perfect backdrop for our ceremony.

4. We had a dedicated wedding coordinator from the Inn - Patrick was a huge help and a resource I knew I could reach out to by email or phone with any questions I had during our planning process. He kept a file with all of our conversations and as we made changes, he sent out an updated document with a detailed plan for the weekend.

3. The one stop shop for venue, food and drink. - Some people prefer to outsource this to different vendors to save a few dollars or get the exact feast they had in mind, but I was very happy having the Inn handle everything. The food at the Inn is exceptional, and this was one less thing I had to worry about.

2. The price was right - We researched several other venues in the Western North Carolina area and having our wedding at the Inn gave us more value for our investment...and the beautiful setting was better than the rest! We were able to work with Patrick to spend less on things not as important to us (chicken and fish instead of steak), and spend more on the things that mattered (extending our reception an extra hour).

1. The service was TOP NOTCH! - We had 150 people at our reception and everyone was served a plated dinner of chicken and fish very efficiently. The staff took care of us every step of the way. We met the bartender for our wedding a few nights earlier while she was bartending at the Moose & Goose. She learned our favorite drinks and made sure they were always ready to be served. It's little things like that you just can't expect to get somewhere else.

BONUS - The hotel is dog friendly! - We were sold when we found this out. Our dog is part of our family, so he was able to be in the wedding AND hang out with us on the veranda for the reception!

We had our ceremony under the Gazebo at Lake Lure Inn & Spa and the reception in the Tanner dining room and Veranda. Patrick our event manager was absolutely fabulous to work with. He was very professional, enthusiastic, flexible and so helpful! He made sure everything for our rehearsal dinner and wedding day went so smoothly and he did it with a smile. The entire staff was accommodating and wonderful. The service at both of our events was absolutely impeccable…the type of service you would expect at a 5 star restaurant, not a small historic inn in the North Carolina mountains!!! All of our guests were commenting on how great the whole staff was and how wonderful the food was. The only thing slightly disappointing was the rooms at the Inn. They are historic, so they are very small and could definitely use some updating. Otherwise, the venue and staff were wonderful. We got some gorgeous pictures overlooking the lake and mountains and around the Inn. Lots great photo ops throughout the property! I would definitely recommend Lake Lure Inn & Spa for your wedding or special event!

It was wonderful having our ceremony in Lake Lure and our reception at the Lake Lure Inn! Patrick was great to work with, especially with how specific/anal we were.

The only recommendations I would make for future bookings is to guide the bride & groom about what they are supposed to do when cutting the cake. We had absolutely no idea (as this is both of our first marriage) and there was no plate for us to set it on. Also, there was a huge delay in time for our last table to be served. Almost the whole rest of the reception was done eating by the time the last table even got their food - we're not sure what happened there. These aren't criticisms but more so recommendations to make it smoother for the next person :).

I would definitely recommend Lake Lure and the Inn to any bride who would want to have a similar type of wedding that I had - simple, elegant, and fun.

Paula and the other staff members at Lake Lure were fabulous. They were very easy to work with from the Spa ladies who did the bridal party hair to the Chef who prepared the most wonderful meal for our guest to Paula herself that was there for me every step of the way. This place was wonderful!!

The Lake Lure Inn was gorgeous and an amazing venue for a wedding. Everyone loved it and the space is perfect for a wedding. There really isn't a more beautiful place in the mountains.

Our actual wedding day went off without a hitch. They were great to move around the tables when family members thought the setup would be more conducive to guests mingling. The months leading up to the wedding were stressful though as it was sometimes difficult to get ahold of our wedding coordinator. Do not let this detour you though because it was definitely worth the effort as this location is beautiful.

The Lake Lure Inn is one of my favorite places to photograph weddings in the area! You couldn't ask for a more beautiful setting and the people are so friendly and great to work with!

Our brides and their guests are always treated with first class service, from Heather, Patrick and Paula in the events department to the smiling staff at the front desk. We have watched the Lake Lure Inn grow into a wedding destination venue that is second to none.

I absolutely love the 1927 Lake Lure Inn & Spa! It's beautiful and romantic. Their staff is very professional and knowledgeable. They make my job a lot easier to do. They're helpful and their food is great! I've been bringing my family there to eat their Sunday brunch during the holiday season. My kids love it especially since they get to talk to Santa.
