The Allan House

I didn't really feel like they had much interest in me at all. I guess they are a popular enough spot so that they don't really need to seek out clients. It was pretty from what I saw. I had emailed the event coordinator and she promptly sent me information, however when I emailed her to set up a time to come see the facility, she failed to tell me that the date I was interested had already been booked, also she told me to come to the "open house" instead of making an appointment, and when I got there, she had left the open house 45 minutes early... It was just frusterating because I'm living an hour away from where the wedding will be so I really would have appreciated her letting me know that my date was taken, or at least be there when you told me that you would be... I guess I should have been booking earlier, oh well I found a great place where I feel like they are truly interested in my day instead of just my wallet.

"My nephew and his wife were married in the garden on April 13th and it was the most beautiful event I have ever attended. The flow was great inside or outdoors with the band, tables, and lovely decorations. Justin and Marie picked a great spot to share their vows w/family and friends. The slide show in the LBJ room was also and neat idea!"

We loved the hardwood floors and all of the period features that added so much character to the house. It wasn't full of old, stuffy furniture and I could easily picture a wedding occurring there. The huge oak trees and the beautiful courtyard were exactly what I'd imagined. Plus, I loved the fact that it was downtown, close to everything. Looking at pictures now, reliving those few hours, I am so happy I found The Allan House. I know my wedding would not have been the one of my dreams had it been anywhere else. It was just too perfect!"

"The Allan House was the perfect venue for our wedding. On our wedding day the beautiful courtyard was filled with the scent of the flowers that had just begun blooming the week before. It was a picture perfect day with gorgeous weather, and our ceremony, lit by the setting sun, was like a fairy tale. The grounds and the house gave our ceremony and reception the feel of being married at the home of a dear friend. It was like coming home. As the sun set; the twinkle lights and the lanterns in the trees created a wonderful ambiance for dinner and dancing. We couldn't have asked for anything better."
