Guests at our wedding told us that this was the best wedding cake they had ever had and we had to agree! It was beautifully designed and exactly what we ordered. We ate half of our anniversary tier because it was just so good! I highly recommend The Bake Shoppe!

Amy at the Bake Shoppe did a wonderful job coordinating with us on how we wanted our cake to look. She was very friendly and professional. The cake looked amazing and tasted soo good! I only wished we could of gotten more cake. All of our guest complimented us on how great our cake tasted. Thank you Amy & the Bake Shoppe.

After a brief meeting with The Bake Shoppe, and tasting their flavors, it was and brainer to choose them as our cake vendor. They took our vision and made it come to life. It was absolutely beautiful, never mind tasty.

I knew I wanted to use The Bake Shoppe for my wedding cake based on previous desserts I had tasted before. I knew I would be getting the best of the best, but I had no idea just how amazing the crew at Bake Shoppe really was... I wanted a design that was simple, but off the books. I only had a tiny picture of what I wanted the cake to look like, but Amy and the Bake Shoppe crew nailed it! The cake was gorgeous-- the picture of simple elegance. I chose to have white cake with white icing and I couldn't have gotten more compliments on how wonderful it was! All my guests just loved the taste! Two weeks after the wedding a guest even said to me, "I had three pieces of cake and I would have eaten more if it was socially acceptable!" Thank you so much for the most beautiful wedding cake I could have ever imagined! I will recommend you to every bride I know! THANK YOU!

The Bake Shoppe did and excellent job! I sent them a picture of what I wanted my cake to look like and I could not have been happier. The cake turned out better than I had imagined. Great place to get your wedding cake!!!

Not only was the wedding cake exquisitely beautiful and exactly what I had pictured in my mind, it was also beautifully presented and delicious! I had an almond layer, strawberry and raspberry layer and each one was better than the other. It was covered with fondant and had pearls around each layer, tiny pearls strategically placed on the layers and a pale pink ribbon around the bottom of each layer. The pearls looked like perfect real pearls but were edible much to the surprise of many people. The groom's cake was creative - they made it look like an x-ray because the groom is going to be a radiologist. It was perfect and the inside, red velvet cake was the favorite of the evening. We expected to have a lot left over, but other than the top of the wedding cake, which they set aside for us, there were only a few pieces left to take home - because it was so good, people kept going back for more! Hooray!

We were extremely happy with our wedding cake. It was exactly what we had asked for and looked great. The cake was delivered in plenty of time and the finishing touches (adding real hydrangeas) to the cake were perfect. We enjoyed working with Amy and would recommend this vendor.

Being from out of town I had to leave a lot of details to my mother. She had a few pieces of cake from 3 different bakers when I arrived to choose vendor products. The Bake Shoppe is who we both choose - me in a blind tasting! and the red velvet cake won me way over. It was SO scrumptuous even after a day in the fridge. Our wedding was a small lakeside on the farm wedding and suffice it to say the cake was one of the hits! We were so very happy happy to have such a gorgeously decorated AND tasting cake for our wedding. We chose a very simple design that accentuated every beautiful detail. Everyone had a little "to go" box of cake to take with them because we chose to have so much! We love The Bake Shoppe and will refer them to anyone!

Having worked with The Bake Shoppe for a couple of years for corporate events, when we started planning my daughter's wedding, I knew who to go to! Shanelle and Jon picked multiple flavors for their three layer cake and the "icing on the cake"...the designer worked in "hidden mickeys" into the frosting design to tie into their subtle Disney theme. Our guests had fun finding the mickeys before diving into the delicious cake. There is no end to The Bake Shoppe's creativity and their cake flavors are amazing.

Working with Amy at the Bake Shoppe was a delight. As the mother of the groom, it seemed an easy option to have the Bake Shoppe make the groom's cake since the bride and groom had already chosen them to make the wedding cake. Working with them over a long distance and through email was simple and convenient. However, I never dreamed they would do such a fabulous job with a challenging request. We wanted the cake to look like the renovated house that the newly weds had worked hard on and were going to move into. The cake looked exactly like the finished house we all have envisioned!!! The flavors of the wedding cake and the groom's cake were all different and all excellent. I would highly recommend Amy and the decorators at the Bake Shoppe!

I had the best experience working with The Bake Shoppe for my wedding cake!! I came in with a few ideas, and they helped me to create the most beautiful cake I ever could have imagined. They drew up pictures for me and we tweaked until it was perfect. They were very patient. Not only was it beautiful and completely affordable, but it was DELICIOUS!!! There is a huge variety of cake flavors to choose from, and I had a difficult time narrowing it down to just two choices. I would highly recommend this bakery to anyone!!

In a word... AMAZING. I didn't even know what I wanted when we met with Amy and after talking to her for a few minutes she has sketched my dream cake. It was beautiful and delicious, the sour cream almond is out of this world. We have gotten so many compliments on our cakes. They also made my husbands grooms cake. They did a fantastic job making his fleur de tiger come to life, it was the envy of all of his friends. The service and professionalism of this company is not something you see every day. Do yourself a favor and order your cake from The Bake Shoppe, you will NOT be dissappointed.

Amy at The Bake Shoppe was SOOO awesome to work with. She is funny, friendly and really knows cake. We had a very complicated, special request for the groomscake, and they blew us away. The wedding cake was to perfection as well. And the flavors were so good, my mouth is watering thinking about it. We also used the event space at 1418 for our rehearsal dinner and it was so wonderful. I'd recommend the event space and the wedding cakes there to anyone.

This is the best cake we have ever had. Our guests are still talking about the yummy cake and we are looking forward to having more on our first anniversary!

My cake turned out exactly as I had envisioned it even though I was a little nervous because I didn't provide an exact picture. I gave them a picture of a cake that was similar to what I wanted and made some changes, and they did an amazing job. It was also delicious!

I never thought our cake could be so beautiful! With just a sketch, they were able create the perfect wedding cake. Our wedding colors were copper and wine, and they matched it exactly. I'm recommending the Bake Shoppe to all of my engaged friends!

The most compliments we got about our wedding were regarding our wedding cake that Amy made us! Our guests told us it was the best carrot cake they have ever tasted! Amy was very creative and designed the perfect cake for us and helped us pick flavors that went well together since we wanted several different ones. My fiance and I currently live in Arkansas but planned our wedding in Nashville. I was a little nervous about finding trustworthy vendors that would make our wedding day special without being a local. I came across The Bake Shoppe at a bridal show in Nashville and could not be more happy with the work they did on our wedding cakes. We met with Amy to design our cakes as well as taste test flavors. Everything turned out just the way we planned. All of the flavors we chose tasted great and the wedding cake and grooms cake looked just as good. Amy was very easy to talk with as well as email along the way. I did not have to worry about anything because of her.There was some leftover cake, which my sister was able to take after our reception. (I had read a review that stated the opposite) There was also a box to pack our cake top into. Thank you Amy and The Bake Shoppe! I would absolutely recommend their services!

The Bake Shoppe was my very first choice and after checking out the competition I knew I had made the right decision. Amy was incredibly professional and walked us through the entire process. I didn't worry at all about the cake being beautiful or arriving promptly at the reception. After considering not going with a wedding cake and possibly doing some alternate dessert for our wedding, I spoke with Amy at The Bake Shoppe and she worked with me to find something that would match my "taste". It turned out beautifully! I can't imagine having not had a cake at my wedding! Surely, that would have been something I would have looked back on and regretted.I didn't have to worry about delivery and the real flowers I used in-between the cake tiers, she arranged! I wish I could include a picture because she did an amazing job with the flowers I had picked out. At the end of the night the extra cake was packed up and the top was saved in a separate box to freeze for our first anniversary! I can't say enough good things...I'm so glad I decided to have a wedding cake and chose The Bake Shoppe!! I didn't have to worry about a thing!

The Bake Shoppe is absolutley amazing! Not only was our cake gorgeous and very personaly, but it tasted delicious. It has been a week since our wedding and I still have a few pieces left and it is still delicious. I highly recommend this company. The were willing to do anything we wanted and were jsut wonderful to work with.

Overall, it was a great experience working with The Bake Shoppe. The cake was gorgeous and looked exactly like the sketch. The cake itself tasted amazing and the price was very reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend them!

The Bake Shoppe is AMAZING!!! They did our wedding and groom's cakes and I can't even begin to tell everyone how many compliments we got not only on the look and design of the cakes, but also the taste. I brought a somewhat complicated picture of what I wanted for the wedding cake and they were so excited to bring my dream to reality. The end results were perfect. Amy was so nice and helpful, and had ideas to make the cake even better. They also did our amazing groom's cake, and Amy helped me take a vague idea I had in my mind and make it better than I could have ever imagined. The two flavors we had that were the biggest hit were yellow cake with caramel filling/icing and strawberry cake with strawberry cream cheese filling/icings. I was trying to convince my husband that we didn't need to wait until our anniversary to eat our top layer!Depending on the day/week, sometimes it took them a while to return my call or e-mail, but I know I'm not the only customer they're dealing with, and usually it only took one follow-up from me to get exactly what I needed right away. We loved the service, value, and the cakes so much that I've already placed another order with the Bake Shoppe for an event I'm doing in May. I recommend them to EVERYONE!

5 stars all around! Kellie and her team at The Bake Shoppe were the perfect company for us to hire to do our wedding cakes since I wanted something very special and unique. They tried various new techniques to create something really spectacular. My wish for the perfect cake that told a great story was granted. Not only did the cake LOOK amazing but my wedding planner noted that she has never worked on a wedding where the cake had disappeared so quickly! Delicious indeed.

Our wedding cake was one of the highlights of our reception for us! We absolutely loved it AND we had a fun time meeting with the baker (Amy Witcher) and planning what it would look and taste like. She was so easy to work with and really supported our vision of our perfect wedding cake. When I would email her in the weeks leading up to the wedding she was very responsive and always so positive about the cake and the wedding (which is what a bride wants to hear!!) She also created our grooms cakes which were three cheesecakes, and were by far, the best cheesecakes we both have ever had in our lives! They were so creamy and delicious. Such great quality and the price was no more than what you would expect to pay anywhere else. We were very pleased with this vendor and definitely recommend.

Yum! The Bake Shoppe and A Catered Affair provided our cake, food, and bar services. They did a fabulous job! Amy was wonderful to work with and she was so accommodating with our requests. The cake and food were delicious!

The Bake Shoppe was great. It was so easy. I only had to visit once. I looked at their book and found something similar to what I wanted and explained the changes I would make to it, and it came out exactly as I wanted it. I gave them fabric samples from the bridesmaid dresses to get the colors right and they were perfect. The florist works out of the same building so I was able to have the same flowers from the bouquets on the cake and it all went together so well. They answered my emails promptly and took care of all my needs. They also handled the catering and the food was delicious. Their menu was very versatile. I would definitely recommend these guys.

My cake request was perhaps a little different. I wanted 1-2 tiered cake and 8-10" round cakes: each cake having a different, unique flavor. When I brought up my cake desires to the girls at The Bake Shoppe while mentioning that I wanted each cake to be on a different, clear glass cake stand, their eyes lit up! I was so excited! They were totally on board with me! we mixed and matched flavors to bring out the spring flavors for my April wedding (Lemon cake with raspberry cream filling and cream cheese icing, banana cake with chocolate icing, chocolate cake with strawberry filling, etc). The cakes were to die for!!!! People loved them and still are asking me and my family where we got the cakes. The value.... if there was a way to give them a 10 out of 5, I totally would. I had interviewed several bakeries for my cakes, and was getting quotes from $489-$2,500. These are cakes people!!! Flour, water and flavoring!!! The Bake Shoppe was the least inexpensive place we interviewed, and they had by far the best cakes!! The flavors were not at all over powering!!!

Our wedding cake was not only absolutely beautiful and exactly like I designed, but it also tasted amazing! We picked three flavors and everyone loved having the different flavor options. The people I worked with there were also wonderful.

Amy is a great asset to The Bake Shoppe. She was great in helping us pick out our cake and what would work best for our special day. She was very personable and easy to work with, along with reaffirming the choice my husband made for our cake (he picked it out).

Working with Kellie was fabulous! The wedding cake looked spectacular and tasted scrumptious. Kellie made a custom cake work within our budget and welcomed a couple of photographs that The Bake Shoppe absolutely nailed when making the cake. Another baker does not transport buttercream cakes to the venue we used because it is atop a steep driveway; but Kellie's team transported this buttercream cake and assembled it on site--many thanks. The tasting with the bride and groom beforehand was excellent. Emailing across the miles went terrifically; making connections via phone was a bit more difficult, although the receptionist was impeccably polite. Fantastic company and staff to work with. And conveniently located; easy to find.

Let me just say Amy is amazing, very talented and knows cake! She answered every question I had no matter how crazy it was:) Kellie and Amy are both a pleasure to work with! Our cake was delicious!!! They are great at custom cakes... They made a custom gun cake for the groom, it looked like the real thing and was SO YUMMY! I will attach pictures when I get them.

We shopped around for cakes for quite a while and had trouble finding a place that had great tasting cake as well as affordability for the amount of guests we had. After many consultations with other bakeries, we met with Amy at the Bake Shoppe. They have many different options to allow for a great cake to fit in your budget. And they have pretty much any flavor option you could think of. They also allow you to design your own wedding cake with many different features and no extra charge. We loved our cake, and would happily refer friends to the Bake Shoppe.

The Bake Shoppe did a wonderful job on our cake! It was delicious and everyone loved it! A lot of our family and friends have had bad experiences with the taste of wedding cake, but all of the ones who were skeptical said ours was very tasty! The cake was also extremely beautiful and went perfectly with the rest of our wedding details. We got lots of compliments! I was only slightly disappointed when we did not receive the cake plateau that we had agreed on in our contract, but we were not charged for it and the cake was still beautiful, so it was not that big of a deal.

The food was pricey, but absolutely amazing! The owner Kelly was willing to work with us on whatever we wanted. Our budget kept changing because our numbers kept changing. She helped us decided what was important for us and helped us change our menu to fit our budget.Her staff did a great job. They helped my family set up for the wedding. They did everything from moving chairs, setting up tables, picking up dishes, you name it they did it.

Amy at The Bake Shoppe helped me with my cake and it was everything I imagined and wanted! I had seen a similar design they displayed at a wedding show with a scroll pattern and she remembered exactly which one it was. It had several different flavors which were all great! I met with her twice to taste test many of the cakes and icings and she was very helpful. I also gave her a copy of my invitation with my monogram and she made a replica for the top layer of my cake which looked exactly like what was on the invitation and program. I also gave her a swatch of the bridemaid dresses so she could match the colors and she did a great job. She was very responsive when I emailed her changes, updates, ect... My ONLY complaint is that there was extra cake left over from the bottom tier and my family was NOT allowed to take what was left........ I don't understand this at all, if I am able to take the top to eat later, then why can't all the left over cake be taken instead of wasted...I wish the wedding day staff could have been more flexible reagarding this issue....I would still highly recommend Amy at The Bake Shoppe, she did an awesome job!

We ordered a three tiered round wedding cake with the following flavors: sour cream almond & kahlua chocolate for the first tier, red velvet for the second, and strawberry for the third. The cake was pretty, but nothing that would take your breath away. The cake tasted wonderful, but the icing was very sugary. I was a little disappointed by the dogwood blossoms I requested with it, there were just a few and they didn't really pop, our wedding coordinator/florist ended up taking extra flowers he brought to better decorate it.

We had a nice visit. We ended up going another way but they have continued to be courtious and pleasant.

Amy, at the Bake Shoppe, was very helpful in choosing a cake and cake design. Our cake tasted great and they had really good flavors. Everything went well with setup and delivery. The cake did not have as detailed decorations as we had hoped for.

The cake and the food was great we just had a hard time getting the caterer to call us back.

They make beautiful cakes. We have had the pleasure of photographing them for several of our bride and grooms who were very happy with them.

A Catered Affair has the most professional and accomplished team you would ever want to work with. They are detail oriented and caring artists who make every wedding and reception they do something special. Check out their new venue EVENTS on Church Street it is an unbeatable facility.
