Barn at Gibbet Hill

love, love, love, love, loved working Sara @ the Barn at Gibbet Hill. the venue, food, atmosphere was perfect and the staff really went out of thier way to manage our special requests, last minute changes, and make our day perfect. It can be expensive to host a wedding here, but the staff and venue will not dissapoint.

I live in San Francisco and was getting married in Massachusetts and I had a weekend to visit several locations for prospective venue locations for my May 2011 wedding. I walked into the Barn at Gibbet Hill and immediately knew that this was the place. My decision was made and I chose my wedding date based on their availability. It was that easy for me. The barn is beautiful, the exposed wood beams, the open, bright floor plan, the amazing views, etc. I fell in love at first site with this place! It is pretty expensive, however, we chose to have a Saturday morning wedding and decided that to have peace of mind that everything would be taken care of the price would be worth it. I met with Deirdre and worked with her all the way through my wedding planning. I must have sent her a total of over 500+ emails in my year of planning and she was amazingly patient and responded within 24 hours. She worked with my schedule, helped me plan meetings during my trips to the East Coast and made my overall planning process so easy. My wedding day was amazing. Every single one of my guests complimented us on our choice of location. The staff was very professional and friendly. The servers were courteous and prompt. The food...oh, the food was amazing! I am vegetarian and had several vegetarian guests and Deirdre helped me find tasty food that we all loved. I can't say enough good things about the chefs at Gibbet Hill.Deirdre and the Barn at Gibbet Hill far exceeded my expectations and we are so happy we chose to have our wedding there.

Dream, Amazing, Everything I ever wanted in a venue. A few things that come to mind when I think of Gibbet Hill! From the minute I was engaged I knew this was the place where our wedding was going to take place. We just had to fit it in our budget. Meeting with Deirdre - she made that dream happen. She was perfect in every way a wedding coordinator should be. She answered every question (with the many we had), she responded within 24 hours... usually less!, she helped us fit ALL of our ideas into REALITY! It was a perfect dream that came together at the perfect venue. On a side note... my hubby & I are such foodies and were dying for a great wedding menu. Our menu was absolutely out of this world - and if you haven't tried the restaurant... you need to! From the appetizers to the full dinner menu - it is still mouth watering!I still pinch myself thinking that is where our wedding was! We cannot say enough good things about Gibbet Hill.

Gibbet Hill was the perfect choice for our wedding. It is a such a unique venue and we definitely wanted to avoid having a "cookie cutter" wedding. The setting is truly beautiful and the food is to die for. We worked with Sara who was there to help us through every step of the process despite being 8 months pregnant on our wedding day! Although Gibbet Hill is certainly on the pricey side it's well worth it!

The Barn provided a beautiful venue for our wedding and the service was incredible. The staff at the Barn are so organized that everything ran so smoothly - I had absolutely nothing to worry about. And the food is delicious. All of our guests kept commenting how it was the best wedding meal that have ever tasted.

I LOVED everything about the Barn at Gibbet Hill. The staff was amazing, the food was fabulous and the scenery is breathtaking.

Gibbet Hill was so beautiful and the food was awesome! The wedding coordinator seemed too busy so if you are high maintenance or too needy you may want to look elsewhere. Everyone that came to the reception absolutly loved it. I would definately recommend. Great place and very impressive!

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful location!

We absolutely loved this site! The place is beautiful, the food is fantastic, and the staff are very professional. So many of our guests commented on the high quality food and service. Carolyn, the event coordinator was exceptional and her experience really came through - she thought of everything! We had our ceremony and reception at the Barn and they were very flexible and responsive when we were planning. We had to move our ceremony inside because of rain and while Carolyn gave us advice, she allowed us to make the final call. The staff very quickly reset the Barn for the reception and we couldn't have been happier.

Gibbet Hill was a beautiful venue for my fall wedding. The barn is just beautiful and the food was outstanding. The first wedding coordinator we worked with was fabulous (Sarah). Very responsive, professional and had wonderful suggestions. She went on maternity leave about 2 months before my wedding. The next woman we worked with was ok. She definitley got the job done but just didn't have the same polish and attention that Sarah did. Overall Gibbet Hill was great- especailly if quality food is important to you. The meal definitly wasn't "wedding food".

The Barn at Gibbet Hill was a fantastic location for a wedding ceremony and reception. They have a very clear idea about timing and potential problems and make sure to take care of everything so that the bride just enjoys the day. Even the cake and flowers can be done by local vendors who are competent and familiar with the property. The couple gets to customize anything about the day to suit their dream wedding.

I really don't have anything bad to say about Gibbet Hill - everything was great. I think we felt it was a real value since we got married in the "off season" and thus everything was discounted. They were very professional, helpful, and pretty flexible.

The Barn at Gibbet Hill was a perfect reception site! Classic New England without being near the city. A lovely scenic drive and lots of parking, and fabulously professional white gloved service. The event manager could not have been more helpful in working with us - even to meet some of our "less traditional" desires for the wedding day. We were able to have a completely customized menu and all sorts of small interesting touches that people still remember and talk about. It's definitely on the pricey side for a venue so far from Boston, but worth every penny. The grounds are beautiful in the fall (and probably other seasons too) and the great photos we have make the venue worth it all on their own.

This is an extremely unique place to have a wedding. The wait staff was terriffic, the coorinator was quick to respond to all my emails and phone calls. I believe the staff was very professional, but we were still able to have a crazy party! The value is a bit extreme, in that weekend weddings are high cost, but the venue and food and everything that goes with it are well worth the price! The wedding cake is provided by either Frederick's Pastries in NH or by Konditor Meister, your choice. Overall, I thought this was the greatest place for a wedding! Rusitc with sheer elegance!
