I had such a difficult time with this property. The planning was time consuming and frustrating. I had 3 different catering managers throughout the process of planning for my event. This is a small property that is ideal for small weddings, very intimate and pretty...however...it is unfortunate that is it so poorly managed.
I had to really manage every detail and aspect of my wedding and reception. I was not prompted or asked about any specifics related to my wedding, I did all of the asking and confirming and hoping that I didn't miss anything, certainly no one was double checking or ensuring all of my needs were met.
When I did have a change to my BEO I asked over the phone 3 times in one coversation, I followed it up with 2 emails and still didn't get the change. I mean...it was more than frustrating to work with the Sales & Catering Mangers and Directors at this venue.
I would say it isn't worth the frustration and don't bother with this venue.
We had our wedding here last week (March 2009) and were incredibly happy with how everything turned out. Marie, the catering manager, was helpful in answering any questions and her banquet staff is unmatched in the South Bay. Service, food, landscaping, etc was excellent. We received endless compliments. The courtyard is very pretty and a perfect place for an outside ceremony of about 120 or less guests. Very intimate setting and cute ballroom right next to the courtyard as well! This luxury boutique hotel is decorated very glamorously and quirky at the same time. The lobby is a great place for pictures! If you are bride booking this location you must stay in one of the bridal suites the night before your wedding because it is HUGE! We had enough room for 7 people to get ready and the photographer and the hairstylist. The ballroom is a bit cozy but fine if you are having a smaller wedding. Also, if you have the extra time you are not too far from the beach to go take pictures. One of the best parts about this hotel is that it is hidden off of Sepulveda so it is a very private place that not very many people are familiar with. Definitely a must see for any bride! :)
