The Blue Vipers of Brooklyn

Fantastic band, just my style! One of the most important choices in planning our wedding was music that would satisfy our families as well as our friends. I desperately wanted a live band, and The Blue Vipers play a great selection of blues, jazz, and swing that was perfect for us. They also learned two new songs just for us! I was so pleased, couldn't recommend them more.

The Blue Vipers were a hit at our wedding. We loved them. Our guests loved them. They actually begged for them to play an encore!
Chris was great to work with, professional and reliable. They even learned a special song for our parent dances.

We have already had several friends ask for their contact info to book them for their own upcoming events.

In order to match the intimate vibe of our wedding reception, we wanted a band that would be fun but not act as the typical wedding band. No Chicken Dance or Macarena for us, for instance. The Blue Vipers had that right vibe; they played traditional jazz but with a modern, funky take. Their music was appealing to young and old alike, and very danceable. Chris, the bass player and band leader, was very friendly and receptive to what we wanted to do for both the ceremony and reception. We had a few requests that weren't on their play list; for a small additional fee per song, the band learned the songs and did a bang-up job with them. Their play list, however, is quite extensive, with plenty to offer.

The Blue Vipers played both my ceremony and reception. They learned some songs specifically for our processional and first dance and their renditions were fantastic. Our guests couldn't stop raving about them and even our reception venue inquired about where we found them. They created the perfect atmosphere for our event and people were always on the dance floor enjoying themselves. We really lucked out when we found them.

I really can't say enough good things about The Blue Vipers. They were great to work with, so talented, fun and easy-going. Even when a wave crashed into them at our ceremony location right on the river, they kept their cool, moved a few feet and kept playing!! Amazing! They kept our guests feet tapping, and a smile on everyone's face.My only regret is that we didn't have them play longer!
