Oh my gosh! Helen and Vanessa had me in tears more than once! They were incredible!!! Not only did I find the dress of my dreams, but they helped me envision how to transform it, set me up with a cleaner, and made me and my ladies feel like stars when we came to try things on. I have never had such a more wonderful experience. Truly one of the highlights of my entire wedding planning. I can't wait to take my beautiful dress back for someone else to love, donating even more to a brilliant cause, and attaching a photo and a story to the dress like it's previous owner did for me! THANK YOU everyone at the Brides' Project!!!!!

This was such a great experience! I went with my parents to pick out a dress here and I wasn't expecting much because I never thought I'd be okay with a worn wedding dress but I found "the one" here! The little house is PACKED with dresses and the ladies there were so helpful! I liked that we could pick whatever dresses we wanted and try it on ourselves in the room. There's no pressure at all to buy here so I was quite surprised when I left with dress in tow! After going with the cleaner they suggested my dress looked brand new! I've been telling everyone about this company since I bought my dress and would consider donating my dress back now that I'm done with it but, I love my dress so much I'm not sure I can part with it just yet! They also have shoes and one of the ladies there makes viels!

The Brides' Project allows you to book an appointment online, and they respond to you very quickly! They also allow you to take pictures. You can find both secondhand dresses donated by brides and new dresses from bridal shops. The most expensive dresses are $1200; the others range from $300-800. There's a ton of selection, and the dresses are organized in different rooms based on the size. I brought two friends and tried on at least 25 dresses, and I took home a gorgeous Sophia Tolli "Anne" dress for less than half price... plus the money goes to cancer research, so I don't feel quite as bad dropping hundreds of dollars on a single piece of clothing that I'll only wear once.Helen was polite and helpful, and overall I had a great time.

I didn't hear the end of it from my mom that she was disappointed that I got a second-hand wedding dress. But I didn't care. I loved the dress and wouldn't have had it any other way. To be true, there are a few things that need to go right for this option to work, but is it really any different from shopping at those warehouse-type places? Yes!- First of all, the girls that volunteer there are super nice, extremely helpful and because they aren't getting commission, are very honest. They won't let you leave unless you look fantastic.- The price can't be beat. I spent $678 total on my dress. Didn't have to get it clean. Didn't have to get it altered. - What a great cause! It's a great story to tell to your guests.- The dresses are by no means the rejects. They're dresses that looked stunning on past brides and will likely look stunning on you too! - I don't have room in my apartment for storing a wedding dress and how terrible would it be to have to throw it away. Thanks to the bride's project, I don't have to go down that road. I'm getting it cleaned and donating it back for the next bride. I wonder if the donation is tax deductible?- Whatever you decide to wear, you will undeniably look beautiful. This option just also gives you that warm fuzzy feeling that you did something good for others.

Love the Bride's Project. I got my dress there and was instantly in love with this place. Helen made my cathedral length lace trimmed veil and officiated our wedding. And the proceeds go to a wonderful cause.

I purchased my tiara from here. Very friendly ladies in the home/store. I really like the idea of donating my dress and being able to include a note for the future bride. Very good idea. I am thinking of donating my dress.

I loved my experience at the Brides' Project and would fully recommend it to anyone in the Ontario region. The Brides' Project receives donated or used dresses to sell and proceeds go to support children with cancer. After I got engaged I decided to make an appointment to check out the Brides' Project after work one day for fun - I hadn't look at any other dresses yet. When I got there, the staff figured out my "wedding" size - about 2 sizes more than normal, and sent me into my own room filled with dresses in that size. I loved the freedom of being allowed to look through and try on numerous dresses without an annoying salesperson around. I ended up choosing the second dress I tried on and spent months altering it to make it my own (I removed the train and added extra beadwork). All of their dresses are very reasonably priced so it was a great deal. The staff were extremely friendly and gave me lots of wedding advice. Highly recommended!

If you think that you need to spend a fortune on a dress that you will only wear for one single day of your life, think again -- and think used! The Brides Project, located in a big, old house in Toronto, has an abundance of dresses (some used, some in "last year's" styles, and all donated). The organization's philosophy is wonderful, and proceeds go to a camp for childhood cancer patients. It was a unique experience, being left alone to try on as many dresses as I liked in the "Sweet" room (that's the room for non-Twiggy-like brides-to-be). It was July, the house isn't air-conditioned, and the dresses were heavier than I had anticipated, but once I put on the dress that was "me" I couldn't have been happier.

Valencienne supports the tremendous charity efforts of the brides project and we will continue to donate gowns to their cause. If giving back to the community is important to you along with finding a gown that’s affordable then you defiantly need to pay Helen a visit .
It was a pleasure working with Brides Project, I look forward to more partnership ventures.
I can't say enough about Helen's amazing spirit and her passion for her work. I've had the immense pleasure of meeting her many times over the last few years at bridal shows and countless time when working with fellow vendors and couples all over the GTA/Toronto. The unanimous excitement about the unique services they offer blows me away every time. The brides haven't even HAD their weddings yet and they're already excited about their dresses being used again in future weddings! That speaks volumes. I can't encourage everyone enough to go to The Brides Project for an utterly amazing wedding experience. You won't be disappointed and you'll feel great knowing that your selections are not only going to be gorgeous for your own wedding, but you're helping a truly wonderful cause along the way. Love you guys! ;)
Helen and the Brides Project is something any bride that is looking for a dress must check out. A great cause and Helen is a wonderful person doing something to help fight the fight.
