Before my husband and I got married, we went to the Cake Courtesan to go cake tasting. I made an appointment to see them on a Saturday. When we arrived, they had already made 20 samples for us to try. Each cake was unique in their own way and they lady explained the differences to us. She even explained the differences between whip cream, butter cream and fondent. It was an amazing experience and I would reccommend my friends and family to have the Cake Courtesan provide their cakes to them.

The Cake Courtesan created two custom design cakes for me and they were delicious. The decorations were one of a kind and the cakes were so beautiful that I did not want to eat them. The Cake Courtesan is awesome.

We love what we do, and it shows in every stunning cake creation

The Cake Courtesan was born out of a love of all things cake. We start by baking all of our cakes, fillings and frostings from scratch, using high fat European butters, eggs, non-pasteurized creams and buttermilks, all fresh from a local dairy farm. Add that to our use of only the best chocolates incuding Valhrona and Callebaut along with the highest quality extracts and freshly grated zests, and you'll see what we love about cake so much!

Next, we create unique and creative flavor profiles that are anything but ordinary, and are guaranteed to impress even the most discriminating palate. One bite, and you'll immediately notice how a exquisite a cake can and should taste. We don't do dry, we don't mass produce and we don't bake your cake weeks ahead of time. For us, fresh is best. There is no other way.

We match the incredibly delicious flavor profiles with an equally incredible appearance where we focus on making sure no detail is overlooked. Real edible gold details, extra tall tiers, realistic sugar flowers ~ all of our designs are custom made just for you, so we don't have a pick-by-the-number design or price approach. The Cake Courtesan offers a unique cake that showcases the individuality of YOU and your event.

All of our tastings are by appointment only, and we can only accomodate up to 2 persons in our design studio.

What are your tasting hours?

Please contact us directly for a tasting. We try our best to accomodate most schedules - including weekend appointments when available.

Describe how you price, such as by slice or by tier, for your cakes?

By the Slice.

Does the price include the top tier of the cake?

NO!!! We don't believe in you having to eat a dry, stale cake a year later. We provide FREE anniversary cakes!

Do you offer custom cakes, or do you work with pre-designed styles?

We are 100% custom shop, and do not repeat designs.

What (if any) special ingredients, such as fresh fruits or farm-fresh butter, do you use in your cakes?

Only the best and highest quality ingredients. We don't skimp on anything ~ including our fondant. One taste, and you'll immeditely see that not all things are created equal!

On average, how far in advance of the event do you prepare the cake?

All of our cakes are baked a few days before the wedding/event, and never, ever frozen.

How many cakes do you schedule for a typical weekend?

We book no more than 3 cakes a weekend!!

Will you work with the client's florist to garnish the cake?

We prefer to work with sugar flowers, since they contain no pesticides and can be stored as a keepsake. However, for budgetary reasons, we can work with fresh flowers, as long as they don't touch the cake.

What (if any) cake accessories, such as a cake stand or cake cutter, do you rent out?

We offer custom cake stands made out of silks, satins, organza fabrics and details.

Do you offer delivery? If yes, how much is your average delivery fee?

Our delivery fee starts at $50.
