The Cake Shop of San Jose

Our cake was gorgeous, and DELICIOUS. The cake was layers of white chocolate with raspberry filling and dark chocolate with raspberry filling. It was moist and very rich. We have been knoshing on leftover cake. Did I mention I've gained 3 lbs.? Gail listened to my requests, made helpful suggestions, and asked clarifying questions. On the day I went in to make my final payment, I noticed a detail on a display cake she had. I asked if I could add that to my cake. No problem, no additional charge. Gail has a lot of pictures and samples of cakes to look at. Some of the examples were mind-boggling. I also want to say their prices were very reasonable. I expected them to be expensive, since I'd seen them in a national magazine, so I was pleasantly surprised. One definitely gets value for the money with the Cake Shop.

The Cake Shop was fantastic. Our wedding cake looked and tasted amazing. We had 5 layers, with 4 different flavors and each was better than the next. The groom's cake was a replica of Notre Dame's football stadium, and they did a fantastic job. The cake looked very similar to the actual stadium, and it had the student and visiting sections in the right places, as well as the correct score of the 2005 USC-ND football game, at least from a ND alum perspective. The staff was a pleasure to work with, and although we do not live in Jacksonville, our family does and we will be using the Cake Shop for any and all cakes that we need going forward, I really can not recommend them highly enough.

Our cakes were beautiful and delicious! We got both the traditional wedding cake and the groom's cake from The Cake Shop of San Jose, and Gail was so accommodating and creative. She made a fly fishing creel (basket) full of tackle and flies with a fish on the side, for the groom's cake. It was a HUGE hit with my husband!! And the wedding cake was 4 tiers, two pecan praline filling, 2 coconut pineapple filling with buttercream frosting. IT was delicious!!!! When you have your consultation with her, she meets with you to go over your ideas, and really listens... She also gives you tastes of some of her most popular flavors. She's a JOY to work with!! You can't go wrong here!!

Awesome cakes!

The Cake Shop of San Jose is one of my absolute favorite vendors to recommend to my bridal clients! Their cakes always look beautiful and taste even better (if that's even possible). I always have guests at weddings approach me on the side to find out who made the cake. There are always tons of compliments throughout each wedding and the bride and groom are always extremely pleased. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They are wonderful!
