My husband proposed to me here, and we take our dog for walks frequently around the park- so Centennial Lakes is an extremely personal place for us. We love the fact that we could bring in our own vendors and saved a ton of money that way, the one required vendor was a beverage contractor and they had very reasonable packages. We couldn't serve hard liquor since we were on city property, but that was okay with us. Laura (Park Manager) was very helpful and always responded quickly to any questions I had. We found out kind of last minute that we were able to come in the night before to set up since there wasn't an event (we didn't use the ampitheater, just their centrum building) and that worked out extremely well! Our ceremony and reception was in the centrum building, worked out great for our 95 guests! We also took all of our professional pictures on the grounds, they're beautiful- it'd be a crime not to utilize them! All in all, I totally recommend this place for a smaller wedding on a budget!

Great location for our October wedding. The weather was questionable but it turned out well. Chose not to rent chairs for the ceremony in the amphitheater as they were pretty pricey for the allotted 3 hours to deliver, set up, and pick up. Our guests stood on the amphitheater steps but they could sit as well (if it was dry weather). You are able to use your own music, access to microphones, can decorate. Loved the view.

We had our ceremony and reception at Centennial Lakes Park and LOVED it! What a beautiful backdrop for our wedding day. We wanted something professional, romantic, yet outdoor/casual. This perfectly matched our needs. The park manager was very helpful in answering all of our questions throughout the planning process (no matter how many times we emailed/called!). They were flexible and accommodating, too, which was nice. We highly recommend them!

The value and location were great. It was the most beautiful place for a small wedding ceremony, dinner and reception. They did allow us sufficient time to set up. It was hard to get a hold of the only person that can rent the space for you. I also was unaware of who my contact person was on the day of the event. All of our gifts were sitting out for people to steal since they did not close the facilities bathrooms to the public.

The location was absolutely beautiful and the price was perfect. And because I could cater whoever I wanted in for food, it helped to keep me at or under my budget!

The park is absolutely beautiful and the Parlor/Fireside rooms are absolutely gorgeous! Our ceremony was set to be outside in the amphitheater, but we ended up moving indoors due to the weather. At first I was disappointed because I had my heart set on an outdoor ceremony, but the indoor ceremony was so much more than I ever dreamed of! There are beautiful fireplaces at both ends of the rooms that made the ambiance so much more romantic. Laura was super sweet and always there when I had a question or concern.

Lovely place with beautiful scenery. The only drawback is that it's a public park so the bathrooms are open to the public and the venue closes earlier but it worked out fine because we were so pooped by 10pm, we had the DJ finish early. :)

Centennial Lakes Park is BEAUTIFUL!!! The location has plenty of parking, there are plenty of hotels close by, and it is easy to find. The price was affordable and they also have an amphitheater that can be used as well. I had many guests say that they loved the site we picked and actually two of our friends are considering having their wedding there as well!!! The only things that can be a drawback (but we didn't mind) is the fact that it is a park. Because of this, the building closes at 11pm on Friday and Saturday and there is no hard-liquor.

This was my mother’s suggestion. We wanted to have the reception at our house, but given the space, we thought that a park setting would be better, especially if the park was located close to our home. We thought that parks were also free, but you have to rent the site. The price for just the amphitheater was around $250 dollars, and we were lucky to get it because another couple had reserved it but then changed their location at the last minute. It worked out well. The Amphitheater is really beautiful. It looks out over the lake, and the way the seats are set up, everyone can see clearly. It worked out well, because having it at the park means that we could invite more people to the ceremony without inviting them to the reception. Also, it gave us time to have pictures taken while everyone returned home.
This is a great location to hold both the ceremony and the reception. The park is beautifully landscaped and the ampitheater is overlooking the water. The reception hall is indoors. However, there are numerous doors with large windows which offer a nice view of the park as well as the water. This is a good choice for an outdoor wedding since the ampitheater is covered and would be useful in the event of rain. Overall this is a very lovely place to wed.
