The girls their are friendly and helpful!

My experience with The Coach House was a horrible one. I purchased a bridesmaids dress there, for $160 (plus tax). By the time my dress came in, my husband and I (who have been together for almost 10 years) had found out that we were expecting our first child and we were so excited! I was told by The Coach House that I must purchase $75 in extra fabric in order to convert my dress into a maternity dress and that the cost to do that was $115. In total, my $160 dress ended up costing $350 (plus tax). I picked up my dress (from the seamstresses house). When I got home I noticed that not only was the dress poorly constructed there were stains all over the dress resembling grease or oil stains. I took the dress back to the store the next day and spoke to the owner at the advice of another staff member there. Even the owner agreed it needed more work and the seamstress re-worked the dress. I was still not entirely happy with the fit but it was better than it had been. I was in the store for a total of about 3 hours the Thursday before the wedding, while some of the staff kept taking my dress to the back to get the stains out; unsuccessfully. I was told by one of the staff members “It’s not THAT noticeable” and that I “should try to avoid certain light”. When I commented that for the price of the dress I shouldn’t have to avoid certain light, her response to me was “IT’S NOT OUR FAULT YOU GOT PREGNANT”. I have never in my life been so insulted! It was totally uncalled for! I advised the owner of the entire situation and she refused to do anything and after I had left the store in tears, my husband was told “Well, the dress was ONLY $160…” It shouldn’t matter if it was $60, $160 or $560…a brand new dress should come without stains! I realize that I cannot make them give me a small refund and it’s not even about that. A request for a letter of apology from the woman who made me feel like “some teen who got knocked up in the back of some car on prom night” was made and I have a feeling I won’t see that as I haven’t yet. I will NEVER go back there again and unless you wanted to be treated like garbage, you shouldn’t either. The bridal party that I am a part of next June has taken there business elsewhere and I suggest you do the same. Unbelievable!

Loved loved loved the Coach hosue.. had been having a really hard time finding my dress but the ladies who work in there are just absolutly wonderful and so understanding or a bride choosing that one special dress. Fittings were easy to work in to your busy wedding schedual as there hours are extended and have nights they are open later. The seamstress is a funny lady who makes you feel very comfortable and confident that you are getting your dress sized up the way you want it done. I asked for black buttons all down the back of my dress and they turned out just breathtaking... there work is fantastic, the staff is so friendly and the dress turns out just the way you want it! :)

I had a wonderful experience with The Coach House. As a plus-size bride, I was treated horribly by several bridal shops in the Hamilton area. I couldn't find any samples to try on over a size 8 and my self-esteem was pretty much crushed. When I went to The Coach House I was expecting the same treatment. But then I walked in and met Catherine. She brought me several samples in my size and was so non-judgmental and supportive! She helped me find my dream dress :)
I found the store had really good selection, even in plus-size gowns. The staff were always friendly and organized. My dress came in really fast!
The store has a lovely, homey feel to it but can be chaotic on Saturdays - go on a weekday if you can. They tend to be a tad pricey (not couture but not bargain basement either!), though the quality of the lines they carry is worth it in my opinion. I found their on-site seamstress to be a bit expensive, but considering I have no point of reference it was probably pretty standard. She did a really fantastic job though. Some later hours would be a bonus for the store.
Overall, I would recommend this shop to any Hamilton area brides-to-be and will return there if I need any formal dresses in the future!

I bought a bridesmaid dress at this store for my MOH's wedding. When we first started looking for dresses they were wonderful, very friendly and helpful, however when my dress arrived I was shocked to find they had ordered the dress in the wrong size (too small). The dress was altered but never fit properly and I always felt horrible after leaving the store.. I was very disappointed with the service I recieved at this store and would not recommend it to others.

The Coach House Bridal Salon is a wonderful place to find that special gown for your wedding. The owner, Pauline, and her staff are extremely helpful in helping brides, bridmaids and mother's of the bride to choose that special outfit for that special day. Great personal service.
