Our reception was awesome, our guests loved the location and loved the food. The only complaint that I have with planning is that they didn't provide any bartender information when we first booked with them and we were down to the wire after they one they usually used was unable to do it. That was the only real snag, which they have seemed to resolve since that time.

I booked Country Barn Farm Market without even seeing it! I went off of a review and pictures of a former bride and this is what we were looking for. I met with Farmer Jim and he knows his stuff. He gave a great tour of the place and made suggestions. We are a nontraditional couple so i had a wagon ride out to the pumpkin patch for pictures then a pig race after dinner, i even got to "kiss" the winning pig! Our family and friends came up to us all night and said what a great time they were having, how excellent the food was that was served and how unique the venue was! We had our ceremony at the Manor View Inn Bed and Breakfast across the road which is family owned by Farmer Jim's parents. I had to give a low score under the professionalism category because there was no organization over at the B&B. The guys were never directed on where to get ready at so they choose the room that they thought was theirs. After the wedding a huge arguement happened between my husband, a groomsman and Jim's mother. It had everyone upset at the end of a pefect day. We mentioned this to Farmer Jim and he apologized and was upset that this happened.I would recommend having a wedding reception at the Country Barn Farm Market. It isn't your typical venue and that is what we loved about it and what our guests loved about it as well. Farmer Jim made our wedding day very special to us! I would just make sure that if you are to get married over at the B&B that everyone is on the same page and knows where to get ready at!!!!!

There are good and bad things about The Country Barn. It is beautiful, large, and the space is very fairly priced. The dance floor is a great size for larger weddings and the location provides wonderful scenery for beautiful photos. If your into real traditional country (like your husband will wear a cowboy hat on your wedding), this spot is perfect for you. Unfortunately if you're not into real traditional country (and we weren't) and, if you are a bride who is on top of things, on a budget, and want to see things accomplished your way, the owner is difficult to work with. The first couple of times we met with him, he really did seem like he was willing to work with us. He even asked us what our budget was for the reception. Despite his "concern", he still continued to try to upsell us from our price point by $1200-$2000 (not including a cake). (he eventually even told me I couldn't do a reception for our price point...but I did) If he would have been honest with us about what he could do for our budget, we would have used him for catering. We landed up finding another caterer instead (which now he doesn't allow you to do). Make him put everything he says into writing. His word is not always held up. I honestly feel like he tries to do too many things and doesn't truely have time to do any of the things he wants to do in the time frame he thinks and says he can do them in. The morning of our wedding, they were still laying down a brick sidewalk that he promised would be complete over a week earlier. (we were exiting the wedding through sparklers and needed the brick sidewalk completed to do this. he still let us exit through sparklers, but we had to walk part of the way through the wet grass and dirt to our car.) We were also promised that chairs and tables would be set up and they weren't. The chairs and tables were also filthy, so we had to clean them so our guests wouldn't get dust and dirt on their clothes. Each time I met with the owner, I felt like he was fighting with me for control of our wedding. (I said I didn't want traditional country, and he suggested using plaid tablecloths, a dusty boot, and paisley napkins.) I felt that he treated me with contempt for not using him as our caterer. In general, each time I met with him, he treated me unfairly, was oppositional, and kind of rude. I came home mad and upset each time I met with him. The barn is wonderful and beautiful, but be careful.

It was perfect, got a ton of compliments on the place to. Food was so good I am still thinking about it !

The barn itself is absolutely beautiful. The expense for what you get is horrible. There is never anything in writing. They never remember your name and are made to feel like an inconvenience. A month before the wedding I wrote them a check for what I was told was my final payment. 5 days before the wedding they called and asked for $800 more dollars!!!! I threw a fit and they said not to worry about it, it was probably a miss understanding!!! WHAT?!!! I was so stressed out from working with these people I was sick on the day of my wedding and had no voice!! They will nickel and dime you EVERY step of the way!!! Nothing is included in the initial contract. Only the use of the barn. They won't explain that to you though until 3 months before your wedding and its too late to switch vendors. All they kept talking about was how high maintenance brides are and how we shouldn't worry about details so much!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!! IT'S MY WEDDING!!!! Please find somewhere else. It is not worth the stress!!!! Plus the owner wore a BRIGHT ORANGE sweatshirt to my reception and started line dancing!!!

Country Barn is a wonderful, different kind of place to host a wedding. We walked into the barn and found a huge, beautiful, blank canvas of a space that really enabled us to create the wedding of our dreams. Jim Stauffer, the owner, couldn't be a nicer and more helpful guy, and the energy that he brings to the process is amazing. Our wedding went off without a hitch. The food Jim made was outrageously good -- our friends and family are still raving about it a month after the wedding! Jim is flexible, brings a lot of original ideas to the process and is simply a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Country Barn to anyone.

Absolutely delicious! The people at the Country Barn saved my life! They were able to offer me everything I wanted for my wedding in a complete package at a very affordable price. We chose to have a pig roast in the spirit of our fall country wedding theme. The people could not have been nicer to work with, the food was fresh and delicious and very beautifully presented on an antique wagon at my request (instead of a buffet table). They were willing to work with me to put together the wedding of my dreams in a very unique, enjoyable setting. I LOVE this place and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!!
