The Country Lane Cottage made my day extra special. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted my cake to be so Esther asked me a few questions and then presented her ideas to me and I LOVED it!! The cake turned out beautiful and tasted GREAT! I have already used her for a birthday cake and that turned out great too. I would recommend Esther and her cakes to anyone!!

Country Lane Cottage listened to my desires and delivered results exactly to order. Owner/Operator Esther Black provides elegant, top-quality wedding cakes with promptness, painstaking effort, and professionalism. And have I mentioned her work is scrumptious? Husband raved and raved over the delicate buttercream icing and moist strawberry interior of the top tier; so delectable he couldn't get enough, we had to take the leftover cake along for the honeymoon. ;) Call off your search for the baker who will give you the wedding cake of your dreams; you've just found her.

I found The Country Lane Cottage here on WeddingWire. I live almost 2 hours away from them. But I fell in love with her cakes on her site. The prices were unbeatable! Esther delivered my wedding cake & sheet cakes over 2 hours away. There was a delivery charge but it was WELL WORTH every penny! Esther went over and beyond she did an awesome job at rearranging my flowers on the cake too! My friends and family can't stop talking about how incredible the cake looked and tasted. I've already referred 2 of my friends to The Country Lane. I'd marry all over again...just for the cake! ;) Thanks for making our day so memorable! --Ashley & Ryan

Do you provide customary cakes, such as Croquembouche?

Are you licensed by the state health department?

Yes

Do you offer private tastings or open house tastings?

Yes

What are your tasting hours?

Most evenings and some weekends. E-mail or call for availability.

Describe how you price, such as by slice or by tier, for your cakes?

We price per serving. Most of our cakes stay at the price per serving price. However the more custom and intricate the design of your cake etc...your cake will be a little more. Please, visit our website for our current per serving slice.

Does the price include the top tier of the cake?

Yes

Do you offer custom cakes, or do you work with pre-designed styles?

We are all about custom, however we work with pre-designed styles as well. We work with you to create the cake of YOUR dreams.

On average, how far in advance of the event do you prepare the cake?

Depending on how big your wedding cake is. Normally it's 3-4 days in advance. We do NOT freeze our cakes. Your cake will be as fresh as it comes!

How many cakes do you schedule for a typical weekend?

Because we are a small home-based business we are limited to one wedding per weekend. You are paying us to design your wedding cake. Therefore, we believe you deserve 100% of our hard work and effort to ensure your cake is exactly how you dreamed it would be.

What (if any) cake accessories, such as a cake stand or cake cutter, do you rent out?

We have a few cake stands for rent. Please E-mail or call for more information. We also work with a custom Laser engraver. (He has personalized many cake monograms and other items for several of my brides.) Timeless Impressions LLC also lasers wedding items including cake toppers, wedding goblets, cake knives, to personalized wedding gifts for the wedding party & guests.
