Reviews for The Dresser

The Dresser was the 6th store that I had visited to find a wedding dress. Needless to say, after 6 stores, I had tried on probably about 50 dresses and had found "the one" here at The Dresser. I am a picky person and I just hadn't found a dress that I instantly knew was the perfect one. Until The Dresser! I went in on a Thursday afternoon, which I am so glad I did. It may be difficult to manage, but if you can get out of work during the week to shop, I highly recommend it. Shopping for a bridal gown on the weekend (at pretty much any salon) is just insanely busy. I worked with Tory, who was great. She put me in a few dresses just to test my reactions and find out what I liked and didn't like. And then she put me in the most amazingly beautiful gown by Winnie Couture. As soon as I saw myself in the mirror, I knew!! Throughout this whole process, I kept wondering if I would know instantly when I had finally found the one. I began to doubt that it would happen and then BAM!! There was no question about it. I had found my dress. One of the best parts was that it was within my budget, which was wonderful because I had visited The White Dress in Corona Del Mar the previous weekend, and they didn't even ASK ME what my budget was. I had to tell the consultant after the 3rd dress that was at least twice as much as my budget. Tory knew my budget and respected it.It is such a relief to have found the perfect dress. Now on to other planning!!

The shop is beautiful, the dresses are beautiful & the girls are so friendly! They have a great selection of dresses at all prices. I was amazed to find such beautiful dresses in my price range ($1000). They helped make the dress buying process easy, comfortable & fun!

Overall, this place was not bad. I had my bridesmaids order their dresses from this location because they had the dress that I wanted for the lowest price. Simple as that. A few things went wrong:1. I filled out the form that included the style, color, etc. of the dresses to be ordered with all the names and contact info for my 7 bridesmaids. A month or two later, I called to ask them which of my bridesmaids still needed to call and pay for their dress. As it turns out, all of them did - because the shop lost my form. (Thank goodness I'm such a control freak and called!) So they had to refill it out with me over the phone.2. My mom ordered my head piece through them because they had one that we really liked. They said they would call my mom when it came in. 3 months went by when finally my mom called them. Apparently, it has been there for a month and a half, and no one bothered to call. The girls who worked there were always very nice and very helpful - but it appears that they were very irresponsible. This store is only used to order dresses, no tailoring. Also, I only did my bridesmaids dresses and the head piece through them. This is NOT where I got my wedding dress, so I cannot comment on how they were with that.

I saw a dress that I really liked on theknot.com, but that brand was only located at a few locations. Luckily the Dresser had the dress I was looking for. The Dresser was the 2nd place I went to try dresses on. Once I tried the dress on that I had seen online, I fell in love. It was so beautiful, and I ended up purchasing it that day. It did take about 5 1/2 months to get that dress, but I ordered it altered already, so it might have taken a little longer because of that. When I recieved the dress it fit perfect, and I did not need to alter it at all. The girls at The dresser are very friendly and provide great customer service. Caitlyn was the person who helped me, she was great.

I loved my experience at the dresser. The women working there are so attentive and made sure my dress was perfect. Highly recommend the Dresser for their extensive selection and friendly staff.

As a larger girl, I wanted to find a shop that had every size of gown to try on, the Dresser certainly did. I tried on more gowns at their store than at any of the other six or so stores I visited before them. I explained my budget being around $800 or less and they just said "sure" and started pulling dress after dress, where every other place said they "had a few at that price" the dresser had dozens at my price range. The one I ended up choosing, I knew I wanted it the second I put it on... then I realized looking in the mirror that I didn't know the price. We took it off and she told me it was $630, I was stunned! and that dress was sold as fast as I could get my pen and card out. They were more than happy to help with mailing my dress to Canada and then, once I had flown back to the area a week before the wedding, had it steamed and got me an appointment for a petticoat fitting within days of the wedding during the busiest month of the year. They are very dedicated to my brides and every time I entered the store, even if I didn't have an appointment and just did an unannounced stop by to show someone my dress... they still remembered my name. A major plus in my opinion.

Wedding dress shopping can be exhilarating, overwhelming or a combination of both. Where I went wrong was expecting it to be like an episode of "Say Yes to the Dress." Where's the misty-eyed bridal consultant asking about the proposal? Where's the snappy gay fashion director? Where are my tears of joy upon getting veiled?Needless to say, my experience at 7 different bridal salons throughout LA was underwhelming. It wasn't fun or memorable because of the consultants. They must all get cut from the same cloth because the standard MO was a mid-to-late model woman who was cold, impatient and condescending.I left most shops realizing that the only reason these consultants made "sales" was because buying an overpriced wedding dress is a no-brainer, guaranteed deal. I mean, you don't have to be warm and fuzzy if one is hellbent on buying her $7000 Eve of Milady princess gown, right? This brings me to my experience at The Dresser. The reviews, I believe reflect the high expectations brides have for warm and fuzzy service. All things considered and with my slew of markedly inferior service at other salons, The Dresser was fantastic. My appointment was made a week in advance for a coveted Saturday time slot for me and my three bridesmaids. Caitlin, my consultant, was friendly, but rushed and frazzled. She told me that she typically does 8-10 appointments on Saturday (I was her 5th) and spends an average of 1.5 hours or more per bride. She was very patient and actively listened to what I wanted. After only 4 A-line/ballgown dresses, I asked her if there was something I hadn't considered that she thought would look good on me.At no time did I ever consider a fit and flared, dropped waist gown. Never. Nope. Turns out that I look fabulous in dropped waist - fit and flares! Caitlin pegged me exceptionally well! Not only did she pull a silhouette I never considered, but she picked one in an unconventional color and fabric and I LOVED IT. Then she did it again and again.Prior to Caitlin, there were no dresses pulled by consultants that I liked. Not one. At The Dresser, because of Caitlin's picks, I'm having sleepless nights debating between THREE dresses. That's a very good problem to have. The best part, she didn't try to upsell me. The first choice dress she pulled it $2000 below my budget.Diana Fang, another consultant at the Dresser was freakin' awesome! I ended up working with her for the remainder of my fittings and bridesmaids dresses.Tip for shopping brides: understand that these consultants devote a lot of time and many may not ever buy with them. It's a demanding job. But, it's the consultant's job to keep their feelings in check. If Caitlin was irritated, I never saw it. I could have been her first appointment of the day and I would have believed her. That's a quality sales consultant. So lower your expectations and sift through your consultants. It matters that you have a good experience with them, so give your business to those who earn it.

I feel bad for the people who have been mistreated by any bridal shop.
I too had a bad experience, at the Dresser in Fullerton and was very unhappy with the way they treated me and irritated when they proceeded to bad mouth The Wedding Day to discourage me from wanting to go there.. They suggested that I read the customer reviews on line regarding hidden fees and alterations.... So I started doing my own research and found a couple bad reviews for the Wedding Day, but I found many more for the Dresser.
The sales people completely ignore you until you speak up and let them know you have an appointment. Then they tell you it will only be a few minutes, when in fact you wait for like 20 mins, which wouldn't be so bad if you knew that you could walk around and look at everything. But nobody bothers to tell you that!! They just let you sit there like a fool waiting for someone to come out. I felt like a gnat on the wall and then when they finally did help me, they didn't even listen to what I was saying I had to repeat myself several times before the sales girl finally understood that I was there to try on a specific dress, which was why I had made the appointment in the first place, but they don't even note that in there book. They just let you waste your time like I did, in the lobby for almost a half hour. I can understand Saturdays are busy, but they had several people working and nobody said, feel free to look around while you wait, or let me pull the dress you came in to see. They finally started looking for it after like 20 minutes to stall more time for someone to help me try it on. Then she put it in the TINY dressing room and never came and told me what to do. So I waited some more!!!
The whole staff was snobby and uninformed!! They didn't know the answer to almost any of my questions and had to check in the computer or they would just tell me, " Well it doesn't really matter as long as you like the dress" . Wrong!!! It does matter that's why I asked!! I want to know the designer's name and the color. But they don't know that information because they rip all the tags out and don't even note white or ivory on the tag so how are you supposed to know!!! But "it doesn't even matter" according to them.
And don't even bother asking them to pin the dress to make it look decent because they said it wouldn't work! So I just stood there holding it up with my hands and trying to envision what it would look like if it were 2 sizes smaller. The more I think about my experience the angrier I get!!
I called the Wedding Day regarding the comment about hidden fees and expensive shipping and I have no idea where $300.00 came from, but the shipping cost is $30.00 not $300.00, which I found was particularly odd considering that the Dresser recommended I go on line and read the reviews about the Wedding Day and low and behold here are some comments that matched exactly what the sales girl at the competition was telling me.........hmmmmmmmmmmm... Coincidence???
I wonder who is really writing these bad reviews, kinda makes you wonder what to believe....
So I am going with my gut instinct and I will be making my purchase at the Wedding Day in Fountain Valley, because so far they have been nothing but nice and extremely informative and helpful. I have phoned them several times prior to my appointment and they have never pressured me to come in or brush me off, they have spent plenty of time assisting me on the phone and answering all of my questions....
It is because of that that I am going to happily make an appointment and spend my money there. If they can provide excellent service over the phone, I am sure they will be equally as helpful in person.
I encourage anyone who has a negative experience with this store to take the time to speak up! The information is very useful to shoppers such as myself and I am sure many other Brides to Be as well!

The service and quality of the dresses were impressive and perfect. I loved, loved, LOVED my dress :) The staff was extremely helpful in making sure all my bridesmaids were taken care of as well. Only problem was not being able to wear my dress again ;)

Catlyn was so helpful, didnt pressure me, made me me so comfortable and very HONEST. Even the owner stayed late one day to finish helping me making sure everything was perfect on my alterations. GORGEOUS dresses and very reasonable, alterations ughh kinda pricey but hey its a perfect fit and your the bride, well worth cost to look priceless. Definitely check them out.

The Dresser was a great shop to get my wedding dress. They sell affordable beautiful dresses. They have an adorable shop in downtown fullerton. The dress was a hard and daunting task for me and they had the perfect dress! We did have some difficulty getting a hold of them at times, and getting calls back. In the end they pulled through were able to do one fitting the week of the wedding and get the alterations all done for me with 2 days. I was an out of state bride getting married in CA. They were not able to give me lead time on when I could fly out prior to the week before but needless to say it all worked out just fine! And like I said lots of great dresses with good prices, and a great atmosphere I would definitely check them out!

I ended up buying my dress at THE DRESSER. I went during their crazy annual sale. Got my Winnie Couture dress with amazing details for only $500. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because their selections was few for this sale. But everything else was amazing...$500 for a $2500 dress!!
FYI: During this sale, you only have 15min in the store to pick and try on. There is a long line and I recommend being one of the first (I was the first), so that you have first "dibs" on the whatever you like. I took 3 girls with me, 2 to collect dresses to bring and 1 to help me try on...it was interesting nevertheless. Friends episode with Monica, Rachel and Phoebe in the wedding store fighting is what orginially flashed in my mind!

I got my dress at the semi annual sale, which was amazing. The staff was great in answering my questions, and I found my dress for 75% off retail price!!! Everything was great about this place, except the alterations. They were going to charge more than I paid for the dress, so I just got the alterations done elsewhere. The dress turned out fabulous!

I had a great experience at The Dresser. I found the perfect dress and the perfect veil, and Caitlin was wonderful!

The dress was the hardest decision for me to make regarding the wedding. I don't own ONE piece of white clothing and hardly ever wear dresses or strapless anything. I think I tried on over 30 dresses from 5 different stores and finally found THE one at The Dresser. What I loved about the dresser is that I came in to actually try on a very specific dress by Martina Liana that only The Dresser carried. I was almost set on buying that dress too until my sales associate Kaitlyn told me to come back in 3 weeks to take advantage of their trunk show discount price. SCORE! A store that WANTS you to save money was a huge plus in my book. I come back a few weeks later when the designer is in the store and end up intrigued by a dress that she brought in that had not been released yet by her Essence of Australia line. I hadn't even seen the back yet when I tried it on, but the second I stepped out into the huge mirrored room and saw the train on the back, I was in LOVE. IN LOVE! I placed my deposit and knew it was the one. The Dresser would often call me to give me ETAs and updates on the dress, so I felt very well taken care of. Once the dress came in, alterations were completed within days and everyone at the store was just so caring and supportive since I didn't have any local bridesmaids or parents that attended any of these appointments with me. I was nervous doing it all by myself but the faces on all my family and friends confirmed for me that I had made the right decision. I've never felt more beautiful (and skinny!) than I did that day.

I absolutely love this store, it's simply decorated, tasteful and organized. All the ladies that work there are so nice and the woman who does the alterations really knows how to get the job done! I found my wedding dress here and as soon as I walked out into the viewing area I knew it was THE dress. Caitlin and everyone else were so sweet and accomodating, my dress looked perfect the day of. My mother even got her dress from the Dresser, she looked fabulous and loved her dress too. I'm so glad we got our dresses there, it was a great experience and they have an awesome selection of dresses

I loved the atomsphere at THE DRESSER!! It's open but intimate! I had 6 girls with me and all of them were comfortable in the viewing room. The ladies there are sweet. I went there on a Satrday so it's expected to be busy. But, my consultant was running late before I got there, which in turn made me feel pressured to finish. But, other than that, i loved my experience. I plan to go back very soon to order my wedding dress. Their prices are really reasonable. :o)

My experience with The Dresser was full of hits and misses. The misses seemed to come from the same person though so I didn't let that outweigh how wonderful everything else was so here's my review:
I e-mailed the store about their selection and received fast and friendly responses each time. Based on those encounters I decided to make the trip down to Fullerton to check out the store in person. I made an appointment for a weekday mid-day to avoid the weekend crowds. I arrived a little before schedule and because I was unfamiliar with the area, I decided to give them a call and ask about their parking situation. Whoever answered the phone very gruffly replied that I should park on the street. I tried to thank her and explain that I wasn’t familiar with the area so I wanted to make sure it was okay and she kind of proceeded to huffily tell me to park in front of their shop in a sort of “duh" way as if she was annoyed with my question. I was about ready to turn around right there and go home but since we had already made the journey there I decided to give them another chance and see how they were in person.
They were completely empty when I got inside. My consultant, Diana, greeted me and registered me and asked me what I liked and didn’t like and sort of got a feel for what I hoped to find. At some point some other older lady came out from the back and gave us a weird look ("no hello, how's it going" either). I’m not sure what her deal was but I felt that was sort of out of place since we had made an appointment and it wasn’t like we just wandered in off the street.
The salon itself is very impressive. It’s clean and well organized and has a big selection. They basically have two big rooms full of dresses organized on racks (against walls) by designer and I was allowed to wander and pull as many dresses as I wanted. My consultant also pulled ones that she thought I would like. She had a dressing room ready for me with the dresses I had chosen to try on already organized nearby. The dressing room itself is tiny but it at least has a mirror so you can check yourself out before you go into the lounge area with the wall to wall mirrors and heart-shaped step stools for you to stand on. They also don’t follow you into the dressing room so you can dress and undress yourself and then let them know you’re ready so they can pin you into the dresses. I thought that was a nice touch since I was pretty much clipped into dresses everywhere else and the pins helped to give a better/more fitted idea of how dresses look on you.
I liked that the lounge area had huge sofas so it allowed my family to view me comfortably. It’s probably the BEST set-up out of all the salons I’ve been to because most only had a couple of chairs or none at all. I also appreciated that they allowed you to take pictures. As an indecisive bride, photos are important and I’m so glad that I was allowed to take them so I could go home and critique them.
Diana was really friendly and pulled some amazing dresses for me and engaged my family in fun conversation while I dwelled in my dresses. I appreciated that because I know how boring it can be for other people to go dress shopping with me and it gave me time to think about the dresses on my own without having to worry that I’m taking too long. (It helped that they were empty though because I don’t think it would be the same on a weekend).
After my first round, I was allowed to look in the 2nd room for more dresses but didn’t find many more to try on so I tried on the ones from my first round that I loved. At some point my FI came into the shop to see if we were ready to go (my phone was on silent) and this is where things got a little more sour. The lady that had given us a look when we first went in, came into the lounge and asked for me and told me that “some guy was wandering her store looking for me”. I told her it was probably my FI and asked if he could come into the lounge and she retorted, “I don’t care”. So if you don’t care, then why come in all gruff and say it like he was aimlessly wandering your store? When he was finally allowed to come in where I was he said there was no one at the front and he was actually looking for someone that worked there when she showed up sort of angrily and asked him what he wanted. I felt that her attitude was uncalled for and sort of made me take a star away from them because other than the look and the phone call, they were doing really well by me.
If it wasn’t for how great Diana was with us I probably wouldn’t have ever wanted to go back, but her all-star treatment and performance helped elevate the Dresser to “recommended” status for me. They have gorgeous gowns that aren’t at all like every other store and have a really nice set-up and are very no-pressure. So as nasty as that other lady was, Diana and the store itself was well worth the drive down to Fullerton.
The only reason I didn't buy anything from the store was because the dress I ended up wanting to buy was from a designer they didn't carry. Otherwise, I probably could've overlooked grouch-lady and given Diana my business. If you're in the area, make an appointment with Diana (or Alice) and they'll take care of you. :)

I LOVE my dress, however, everytime I went to their store it didn't feel like they were dedicated to making you feel comfertable. Trying to call them was also a hassle because they hardly ever pick up the phone. Overall, it was ok. I love my dress though! :)

I loved purchasing my dress from The Dresser! The service I received was fantastic, with the girls helping me feel very comfortable as I tried on various dresses. I felt that my dress was fairly priced. The only thing to be aware of is that you really must schedule an appointment in advance at this vendor.
GUEST

Was thrilled with my dress - perfect for a beach wedding! The price was great and customer service was the best I found by far!!

I bought my dress at The Dresser and everyone that works there is soo nice and honest! The helped me save money on my dress by letting me know to wait to buy it because my designer was having a trunk show.

I had the hardest time finding a dress...I went to so many shops and tried a ton on. The gals at The Dresser were so super patient and helpful! And, once I bought my dress, the great service continued. My fittings went well, and all of the alterations on my dress were perfect.

I would have bought my dress here If I hadn't found a dress at another store that was super discounted. Great prices, great dress selections. This was the first bridal store I went to, and I was very happy with my visit. I just walked in without an appointment, and they accommodated me and treated me very well. The sales girl was so bubbly and helpful even though she knew I was only looking and had no intentions of buying anything that day. I definitely recommend it. Oh, and they allow you to take pictures, unlike other places.

Love their dress selection, location and environment. Their sales ladies were great, I felt most comfortable here and found my dress within 30 minutes. They helped me find one in my price range. DON'T get alterations here, the lady (i think she's the owner) that does them is not very nice and didn't do a great job. My hem was jacked up and the dress was dirty when we went to pick it up. And its also overpriced.

I had the easiest time finding my perfect dress thanks to the great people over at the Dresser. The staff is extremely helpful, friendly, and patient. Alice did a wonderful job helping me narrow down dresses. Any time I needed an appointment they gave me lots of options and responded quickly. In my experience my alterations were perfect and the lady who does them has a lot of experience and is straight to the point because she has a business to run and knows what she is doing, not to be confused with being mean. Their dress prices are very reasonable and they will work with you until you are 150% happy. I have referred all my girlfriends to this store.

I looked at several boutiques in Orange County and found the selection and prices to be the best at The Dresser! I loved my dress so much, Caitlin (am I spelling your name right?) actually picked out my dress and I tried it on to be nice... it ended up being the perfect dress for me! I totally had that cheesy "this is it" feeling when I came out of the dressing room. She understood my taste and chose a great dress for me, thank you so much. We had some difficulties with my dress, getting the length right... the designers fault, no fault of The Dressers, but Mary Ann did beautiful tailor work to fix it and you couldn't even tell (she is so talented). I felt so pretty in both my dress and my veil (they have a great veil selection as well) and can't wait to share photos of my dress when the photographers photos are done! Thank you to all the women at The Dresser!
GUEST

Store was wonderful. Staff is very helpful and kind. The dress was very reasonably priced. The alterations were very expensice but were done well. The only thing I didn't like were the hours of the store. I found it hard to work with my work schedule since they don't have very long store hours.

Sorry this is long! I had my bridesmaid buy their dresses from The Dresser in Fullerton. The ladies at the front desk that helped us were great. All of my bridesmaids got their dresses on time. However, the problem with The Dresser is the owner/seamstress. She was not professional, and she was NOT nice. Because I liked the ladies at the front desk that helped us so much, I thought it would be easier if all of the girls altered their dresses at The Dresser. I was WRONG! The owner is also the seamstress who does all of the alterations. She was constantly grumpy and short with everyone. Also, she charges a lot for alterations. But the worst part was when she told me my alterations would be done for three of the dresses two weeks before my wedding. I was out of town that weekend (for the Bachelorette party), so she said they would be done and I could pick them up the following weekend. Well, she decided instead to take that extra time to procrastinate and she didn't work on my girls' dresses AT ALL. Then, she got sick on the weekend that I was supposed to pick up the dresses (the weekend before my wedding). Instead of being professional and hiring someone else to alter my girls' dresses, she made me stress out and wait to get the dresses. One of my bridesmaids was going to be in town on our original appointment date (she lived in Santa Barbara), but due to the owner's tardiness my bridesmaid wasn't able to try on her dress until two days before the wedding. Luckily, it fit...but talk about stressful! That wasn't even the worse part though...through it all, Mary Ann (the owner) was completely rude and even down right MEAN! I would not recommend going to The Dresser in Fullerton. If you want great customer service and good prices, go to Mariposa Bridal in Anaheim. I got my wedding dress there and they were wonderful!

I looked EVERYWHERE for my wedding dress. I had gone to over ten bridal stores! What I love best about this place is they are extremely honest, upfront, and not pushy. I never had the feeling or impression they were there just to "make a buck". Unlike a lot of bridal stores, they do not try to sell you on everything in their store. Their prices are bit more reasonable than other dress shops. My dress was less at the Dresser than other stores. Another store-Jinny's Bridal- told me, due to me ordering my dress late, that they'd have to charge me a "rush" fee...bogus!! The Dresser didn't charge me any type of rush fee and assured me my dress would arrive in time-came in 4 weeks. Another thing that stood out to me was that I was first quoted one price on my dress by a Dresser consultant, later Marianne (owner) said that was the wrong price but she honored what we had been originally quoted which I highly admire! They do not overbook, which is helpful because some bridal stores are swarming with brides and makes choosing a wedding dress excruciating-it's not fun having to share a mirror with ten other girls. The staff, including Marianne, are not the very overly warm, fuzzy type but they are honest, helpful- and compared to some other bridal stores- they are knowledgeable and down right good consultants. Marianne is great with alterations, had no problems; was willing to change anything I was not happy with. Would most definitely recommend this place!

I absolutely LOVE the Dresser! I went there yesterday to look at dresses and Allison helped me find a beautiful, perfect dress. They have a great selection of plus size samples so you can actually try something on to see what it will look like on you, if you aren't a size 2. She was very helpful making sure that I tried different styles on just so I knew what they looked like on. The salon is beautiful and kept very clean. There was no rush and no pressuring. Even with my mom's million questions, there was never a rush, eye roll, nothing. Highly recommended.
GUEST

Simply the best wedding boutique ive ever worked with. I love them! They helped me find the dress I wanted VERY PATIENTLY with never a negative word sigh or a roll of the eyes. Even when my dress was sent from the designer very different than the sample. They fixed it no questions asked. I cant express how much I appreciate and love them. Thanks Allison and Dyanna!

Was not too fond of this place, the staff was a bit brash and even though I had an appointment service was a bit slow and chaotic. They have a lot of dresses-- they especially have a lot of the sleeker evening gown styles-- but the condition of samples was not that great and the dressing rooms and mirrors also needed a bit of touch-up/upkeep. One cool thing about this place though is that they actually pin you in the dress instead of using clips so you can see what it would really look like (without all the chip-clips).

I went to the Dresser for their annual (semi-annual?) wedding dress sale - $100 a dress! It was such a great deal! After waiting in line for a couple of hours, I got to go in and shop. Even in 15 minutes time limit, the staff was super friendly and very helpful! I enjoyed the shopping experience a lot. The store had beautiful gowns from lots of designer labels. I would definitely recommend the dresser!
GUEST

All the ladies were nice at this store. My alterations were ok, but they didn't quite do everything they said they would. I could have gotten on them about it, but I didn't want to labeled as a crazy bridezilla who complains. The finished product was pretty good, but had some loose strings sticking out from where the beading had either come off or had been taken off and wasn't put back. Luckily I had small scissors with me and my friend cut them off. My dress was still a little too big, but it worked out ok. If you are pretty laid back, you'll be fine at this place. They were a lot nicer than other salons I went to.

Diana at The Dresser is simply the best!!! Customer service is relly important to me and she has superb customer service. She made looking for and finding a wedding dress a breeze. I went to over 20 bridal salons and she was so easy going and informative about my dress changes. I would definetely recommend to all my friends to go here. I was even a little bummed that I didn't find bridesmaid dresses here (I'm getting them made) because I would have loved to give them more business!

All the staff are very accomodating. Someone as picky as myself, they were very patient in making sure that I end up with the "perfect dress" for my wedding. The dress arrived on time and the alterations were right on. Everyone loves my wedding dress.
GUEST

My dress was a little harder to find because it was an older year and season for the dress. But The Dresses had it and even for much less then other dress boutiques that I went to. The staff was very helpful and the alterations were a breeze. I thought I looked gorgeous!

I used to live up the street from the Dresser and would drive by it every day on my way to work waiting until I could go inside I finally was able to last month and loved it! I worked with Alice who was so great and helpful, she even let me take pictures so I could remember each dress. I did go to a few different stores after to see additional selections but ended up coming back to the Dresser to order my Maggie Sottero dress, as it was a few hundred dollars cheaper than the other places I looked! They have a great selection and Alice is awesome. I have already referred a couple friends to them and they too loved the selection and helpfulness of their staff.

After months of searching numerous dress shops, The Dresser provided the whole package; Beautiful and clean shop, helpful and knowledgeable staff, reasonably priced attire and great service. I was able to find the perfect dress for me and was treated very good by the owner and her staff at the shop. They were very good at communication and did amazing alterations to make the dress fit me like a glove. I did have an incident with a tuxedo rental place that the dress shop gave me a coupon for, and when I let the dress shop know how poorly I had been treated by the tux shop manager over the phone, the dress shop staff really defended me and backed me up; that showed me that they truly care about thier customers in this highly sensitive and emotional time in thier life.. getting married. I highly recommend all of the ladies to help in the dress shop, but Alice was my girl and she was amazing!

I purchased a Winnie Couture dress there. They were amazing in service. Very nice and helpful! They did a great job on alterations as well!

Appointment are absolutely necessary here ! they wont help you at all without one. I walked in today with my mother and grandmother for the Casablanca trunk show and saw two gowns that I wanted to try on. I asked them if I could just quickly try them on since I did not see them helping any brides at the moment. I even told them that I would be fine if I didn't get much help as long as I get to see how they look. They replied with a no, I was not able to even try them on without an appt. I then asked if I could get the style number of the dresses and they told me that they used special number for their store and that if I wanted to get the style number to get it from the internet. I then asked if I could then get the designer and the lady told me a different designer which after a while of searching online I found was incorrect. I feel that gown shopping is a big part of wedding planning and that a bride should get a good experience. Unfortunately I did not get one here, I received way better service at Davids Bridal and Alfred Angelo which most brides know is not the best.

These ladies got this industry down. They sold me a beautiful dress then walked me though the whole process. I had a few alterations last minute and they did wonderfully. Great value, I got the dress I choose for over $500 LESS then the other local bridal stores.

I chose The Dresser to purchase my wedding gown at because they carried the designer dresses I was looking for, Winnie Coutour. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They tended to my needs and gave professional feedback. I love my dress and would definately recommend The Dresser to future brides.

I purchased my wedding dress from The Dresser. It was a pleasant experience and my dress was beautiful! The ladies are nice and helpful. I visited other wedding dress salons and was not impressed. The Dresser has a decent selection, the sales people are not pushy and the prices are somewhat reasonable.

My dress arrived very close to our departure to Mexico for our wedding in Playa Del Carmen. The service at The Dresser was fantastic - the dress was altered and ready to go and absolutely perfect!

I bought my High School Prom dress at the Dresser to headed back there for my wedding. They have great customer service and an excellent selection of dresses with a variety of prices. They were able to order my dress in petite length which prevented me from having to pay for hemming, so they are flexible and help you to save money if needed. They have a new location as of Spring 2008 in downtown Fullerton and it is much larger than their old store and is beautiful. Their tailoring is also great and very reasonable (many prices better than David's Bridal). I felt like they really valued me as a bride and not just another customer like I experienced at larger Bridal stores (I'm sure you can guess who I'm referring to). I highly recommend the Dresser for your wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, mother dresses, and any accessories you might need.

My first experience with the Dresser was when I was looking for my own gown. I had fallen in love with one dress and unfortunately this shop didn't carry the line. Even though, I was "just in case there is a better dress" shopping, Dianna was very sweet and spent over an hour with me helping me through their extensive collection. After shopping for myself, I knew that this was the spot to get my bridesmaids dresses. I had six bridesmaids spread all over California and the staff of the Dresser contacted and coordinated ordering and payment with all six so that I didn't have to worry about it...but it doesn't end there. I went with the Melissa Sweet line of dresses and as beautiful as their dresses are, the company is as difficult to work with. Melissa Sweet missed the shipping date and Dianna and Mary Ann spent hours on the phone with the MS rep in New York tracking down my dresses. Fortunately, because of the Dresser staff's tenacity, my dresses were located and shipped overnight. When the dresses arrived 7 days before the wedding, one dress was made incorrectly (the top was a different color from the rest) and Mary Ann completely remade the top of the dress out of fabric hemmed from another dress. The dress ended up looking 500 times better than in the original fabric. When my bridesmaids arrived 2 days before the wedding, Mary Ann made it a point to see every single girl in their dress and made all the necessary adjustments that day. I can't begin to express my gratitude for them taking a potentially disastrous situation and acting immediately to save my bridesmaids dresses! Side note: This is a great business that is run by a small staff and not only do they sell the dresses they do all the alterations too, so respect their request for appointments and you will be treated like a princess!

Everytime i went in for a fitting the lady kept telling me this will be fixed, this will be fixed, this will be fixed, but it never fully was fixed. She talked me out of taking it in a little more and I wish I had. The store is beautiful. Once we arrived early for a fitting but she hadnt even started to work on my dress and she had it for over 3 weeks.....in the end it turned out ok

Selecting my dress was easy. It was a great experience and the Dresser workers were excellent. They really listened to what I was wanting and helped me select the perfect dress. It was beautiful and reasonably priced. However after purchasing the dress everytime I went back for a fitting the Dresser staff was not nearly as friendly. And the dress was not altered at one of the fittings as it should have been. Don't make an evening appointment. The staff will rush you out so they can leave.

I loved my dress! It was a Maggie Sotero that I found at this cute shop for only $500.00! I was hesitant to go in at first after seeing the big stores (David's Bridal & Alfred Angelo's) but I am soooo happy that I did, It was the best decision of my entire wedding, I found the dress of my dreams and It's true that once you put it on, you just know it's the one! The ladies were very helpful, appointments were made to work around my busy schedule, the dress was perfect on the day of, they taught my MOH how to tie the back up and everything! I even got my veil and crown there :)

I loved my dress, but I have to say I loved the experience just as much. We bought my dress at The Dresser because of the service we were given. Their selection of gowns is set at the perfect amount... just enough to have the right amount of options, but not enough to overwhelm you. As a bride that was very important to me. We bought ALL of my accessories from them; my headpiece, petticoat, veil, 3 dresses (2 bridal gowns + one bridesmaid gown to be worn at a party), shoes & the CUTEST couture looking clutch you ever saw! My experience was all that I had hoped for, from my first initial visit to my final fitting. Every need and desire was met. Marianne & Diana are the best around! You won't be disappointed!

The ambiance in this shop really makes you feel like a bride. I think the customer service is hit or miss, but i adored my gown, it was 1000 and felt like a million bucks.
