The Edge Photography

We had done a lot of shopping around, and in the end the package we received for the price from The Edge could not be beat.
The way you tell the professionalism of a business is by how they handle the hard situations. Like any big event, we had some issues at ours (no fault of Don’s). I must say that Don handled our situation better than anyone could have hoped for. He fully addressed all our concerns to our full satisfaction and worked with us to make sure our photo album was a top quality product. It takes real integrity, compassion and the desire to deliver the best product possible to handle the situation the way he did; we are so thankful we selected him to capture our special day.
I looked at several friend’s wedding albums, and none of them could compare to what The Edge produced at a much better price. It's hard to describe how pictures done correctly could make such a difference, but they do. The proper setting, lighting, posing, and contrast all contribute to the quality of the shoot. The photographs were very well done with a good mix of staging the shots and capturing the candid shots to get the feel of the event. It's that pool of great shots that provides the basis for the books. Don did a fantastic job capturing the event for us.
Besides the beautiful pictures in the book, Ines did a wonderful job telling the story and giving an artful flare to every page. Unlike other albums where photos were printed on a white background , each page had a different color coordinated background which made the product look like a professional work of art. The books themselves, with high grade leather, were gorgeous! Each page was a heavy durable cardboard that will last for years. Thanks to Don, Ines and The Edge for such a wonderful product and keepsake. We would definitely recommend them to any couples out there planning their big day.

Don did a fantastic job and had some great ideas, both for the wedding and the engagement photos. We have already heard great feedback from the engagement photos and people are excited to see the finished product from the wedding. Thank you Don for making the night as memorable as possible

We're so glad the wedding coordinator from our reception site recommended The Edge Photography. During our first meeting, we knew we wanted Don as our photographer as soon as we opened the first sample photo album in his studio. The pictures were amazing!

We did the engagement photo session about a month before our wedding. I was very nervous before this session because I usually avoid cameras. With some coaxing and good humor from Don, I relaxed and we ended up having a great time. Don took us to several locations around Leesburg and we ended up with beautiful pictures that were used in our guest book designed by Don's wife Ines.

For the wedding, Don and his associate Michael were with us the whole day and took amazing pictures - preparations, ceremony, formals, and reception. Both photographers were very professional, yet personal. They managed to get a lot of great pictures without us even noticing them during many of the shots.

We recently had the wine and cheese party to see the slideshow that included hundreds of pictures. That was such a fun way to see the pictures for the first time! It was like going through the whole wedding day again! These personal touches show just how much Don and Ines enjoy what they do and it truly shows in their work. The next step for us is working with Ines to finalize our photo album and going through the DVD of all of the images in order to select pictures to enlarge for printing. It will be fun to do, but also difficult because we have so many great pictures.

We are so happy we chose The Edge Photography Studio for our wedding photos. Let me tell you, I searched and searched and searched some more for a quality photographer that didn't charge me for my first born. I am so glad I found The Edge. Don and Ines are very professional and talented. They didn't coerce us to choose a more expensive package, but encouraged us to only choose what we really need, and then gave us the flexibility of adding to the package at a later time if we chose to do so.
For the wedding day, Don and his assistant were wonderful. The worked hard from the moment they arrived to the hotel for the "getting ready" pictures until the lights came on in the ballroom signalling the end of the formal reception. We just got our proofs from the wedding day and are sooo happy with them. We have formal poses, photojournalistic shots and candids as well. A great collection. Can't wait for the album!

Don and Ines are a wonderful team. Our wedding pictures are beautiful and Don captured all the precious moments of our special day. We felt comfortable with Don and confident knowing our pictures would be beautiful. The wine and cheese party is a nice touch and a great opportunity to review all our wedding pictures and reminisce about our special day. The album Ines put together is stunning and the slideshow is a great addition.

We were very very pleased with the edge photography. Don and Ines are true professionals and have a very detailed eye. We met with them prior to the wedding to go over the timeline/picture schedule. I was very nervous about the schedule of the day and they were patient and understanding. We had engagement pictures taken and used them for our guestbook, we got tons of compliments on the pictures and I knew our wedding pictures would be fabulous. We had two photographers for the ENTIRE day. They captured all of the important events. We received our pictures promptly. I would highly recommend the edge! They were great :)

Don and his team did a great job taking pictures for our wedding, as well as our engagement photos. We are so happy that he was able to capture all the wonderful moments even better than we remembered. The Edge Photography made a personal touch by inviting us and our parents to their studio after our wedding and view the many pictures they took. They had taken the time to pick the best pictures and arrange them in a fantastic slideshow complete with music. It was a complete re-visit of our wedding night, almost as if we were there again. My Wife and I cannot say enough great things about EDGE Photography. A husband and wife team (Don and Ines) along with other photographers on the bench for the day of event. Their quaint and warm studio in Leesburg highlights a lot of their work, and is also where they throw you a wine and cheese party after your Wedding to show you your photos on a projector (make a very nice slideshow set to music etc). Aside from their warm personal demeanor; they take some of the best shots I have seen. A hurricane was in the area during our wedding so my Bride was very worried about having good shots, but Don nailed it and we were very impressed with the original shots he took despite the poor natural lighting (rain and gray skies) outside windows. They were around for entire day and evening and do not "count the clock" which is refreshing. Very prompt on email communications, good instructions for what to do when reviewing final selections of photos, and put together some very nice assortments to choose from for the final book to be published (Ines does great work). In the end their rates are very fair due to the unique artistic photo books they produce, their all-day attitude towards the event, the post-wedding photo party, and the fact that they provide to you DVD's/CDs with 100% of the prints so you can share/print/etc with anyone you choose w/o having to go to them for permission (although they can touch up the work so would suggest you use them for the "main shots"). CD's are nicely prepared in a leather bound book and include the slideshow movie they make for you which is a hit for future family parties for instance. Having the photos and no photographer's watermark on the photos is a big plus. Highly recommend their work as you get commercial results yet a small family feeling to the event.

Don and Ines Harper were instrumental in working with us for our wedding plans. We first saw their work from several of the potential venues that had albums. They truly set themselves apart from other photographers. Don and Stuart met with us beforehand at our convenience. Stuart and his assistant were awesome the day of the wedding. The pictures turned out fantastic. The album that Don and Ines designed really stand apart from other albums that we had seen. Highly recommend!

Don was amazing. He was so creative and the pictures turned out absolutely amazing. He shot over 1500 photos for us and they were all so beautiful it was hard to pick! His wife's creativity with our wedding album really helped in our final selections. I would recommend The Edge for your wedding, you will not be disappointed.

We selected Don and Ines, owners of The Edge, after just one meeting with them. We had researched quite a few photographers (approximately 10-15 in the local VA/MD/DC area) during the winter of 2011. We were interested in speaking with a few of them to compare packages, check availability, and meet the photographer(s) that would be part of our big day. We happened to attend The Hunt Country Wedding Show in March, where we met Don and Ines. They were on our list of photographers were were interested in speaking with (my husband actually found their website while we were researching), and set-up a meeting at their quaint, funky studio in Leesburg. After one meeting, we hired them, and have never regretted our decision.

We had our engagement and wedding photos done by them and absolutely love all of their work!! Don was our photographer for our engagement shoot. For our wedding, we had both Don and one of his partners, Brian; both produced awesome shots and were so much fun to work with. They are incredibly unobtrustive, captured our day with some fun and memorable shots, and were incredibly professional.

After the wedding, my husband and I, along with our family, returned to the studio where Ines and Don produced proofs, a video highlight of some of the best shots (with music), and discussed the package we ordered. Additonally, they treated us to cheese and champaign during the entire show! It was fabulous and so much fun!!!

We are so thankful for Don, Ines, and Brian and definitely look forward to working with them again some day!!!

This photography company was the company my sister and her husband chose for her wedding. There was no question that we would use the same company? We wanted the same quality and same wedding day comfort and that is exactly what we got.

I can not rave enough about The Edge. My husband and I were looking for a photographer that made us feel comfortable in the fact that they will be able to capture the whole night while maintaining a VERY low profile. Not only did The Edge manage to capture EVERY moment of our wedding, we found ourselves able to relive every moment of our wedding through their amazing photography.

The personal touches that are included in their services make you feel as if you are family, and your happiness is paramount. The photographers, and the book designer are warm, caring people who really understand the mindset of brides, grooms, families and friends. There is nothing that they are unable to do. I’ll just start off by saying, I am extremely picky and I know what I want. I spent an entire day researching wedding photographers (online searches, magazine searches, etc.) about 1 ½ years before our wedding. My parents, my now husband and I loved the photographs in the Edge Photography’s portfolio. We made an appointment with them right away and hired them on the spot (even without meeting other photographers). It was a great decision!!!

We had an engagement photo session with Don during the spring. He got some great shots that we absolutely love! The photos are very clear and vibrant and captured the love my husband and I have for one another. Ines created a wonderful photo book that we used for our guest book. It is a great keepsake.

Don and his associate were with us for the entire day of the wedding, from getting hair and makeup done at the spa to us driving away in the getaway car. They were unintrusive, as most of the time we didn’t even realize they were snapping shots. We were very anxious to see our photographs and we were not let down when we saw them. They were great! There were many great creative, beautiful and candid shots. We loved the slideshow that was put together as the pictures selected were great and the music was very fitting. My sister-in-law even said, “this is better than a video”.

Don and his associate did an absolutely fabulous job and we are grateful we have wonderful pictures for the rest of our lives. We would recommend The Edge Photography to any engaged couple seeking a photographer. You will not be disappointed.

Don & Ines are a professional and fun team. Don's photography is stunning and he's almost invisible as he works. Ines puts the photo books together and creates a treasure to keep and enjoy. They are both flexible and accessible. We were fortunate with all our vendors but the photography really stands out as exceptional.

Don and his associates at The Edge Photography Studio are absolutely fantastic. My husband and I had somewhat of an unusal wedding because we had two different wedding receptions. I was not expecting Don to come to the evening reception but he insisted that the photo collection would not be complete without those photos. He was with us from 9:30 am to almost midnight taking photos. You hear horror stories about photographers that make the bride and groom late to their own reception because they are too busy taking millions of photos. Not Don. Don kept us more on the time schedule then our own wedding coordinator AND we were able to get all of the photo shots we wanted. Not only was Don and his associate extremely professional but they were incredibly creative. The album they put together of the wedding wasn't just your typical wedding photos but a creative representation of the day. The photos were breathtaking. I would highley recommend The Edge Photograpghy Studio to any bride looking for a photographer because it is impossible to find anyone better then Don and his associates.

Don did a FABULOUS job at our wedding. Everyone was talking about how much they loved our photographer and his artisitic eye. He was constantly taking photos, but completely not obtrusive or obnoxious! The dvd is a MUST! I was bummed after the wedding that I didn't get a videographer, but then Don & Ines played the dvd they created with our photos and added music, AMAZING! The video captured key moments of the day perfectly and stuff we didn't see happening, which was awesome. The dvd was worth it and much better than a video. Thank you to Don and Ines for capturing our day in our album and photos. I highly recommend them. This coming from someone who works in the event planning industry!

Don Harper did the most amazing job capturing all of our special moments during our wedding. He was with us from start to finish and half the time we didn't know that he was there. He has a great sense of humor that helped capture our true expression. There are so many pictures to choose from and the quailty is just amazing. My husband and I are very pleased with our weding pictures! I will be ordering quite a few for gifts. I give The Edge Photography 5 stars and I highly recommend Don and Ines!

Don Harper and his team provided highly professional service. The outstanding quality and "capture the moment" feel of his photography is the perfect statement of a wonderful wedding day. He was able to be on the scene and behind the scene without being obtrusive or demanding. We loved his photo shoot in the old church graveyard and on the country club grounds. I was worried about the ability of getting good shots inside the very small country church, but Don and his team managed this as an everyday "no big deal" occurrence, The shots came out just fine and he managed to get some really great photos of the ceremony in progress. I didn't even detect his presence during that time. A true testament to his professional abilities. A great job and I would recommend Don Harper without reservation.

The Edge was recommended to us by a friend who said that they were her favorite wedding vendor, and we were not disappointed. Pat and Stuart photographed our day and they were wonderful. Our guests and attendants especially had a lot of fun with them. Don and Ines had a lovely release party for us, and we were so happy with all of the photographs as well as the DVD of the best photos set to music. They were very accommodating and responsive to my calls and emails with questions.

Don took so many wonderful pictures. It's great to have so many to choose from.

Don, Ines, and their associates were wonderful to work with. I loved how flexible they were both before and after the wedding. They were not pushy at all and blended into the day perfectly. Don took so many wonderful pictures and the wedding album was absolutely amazing. The Edge had several packages to choose from and we were excited how everything turned out. They were so friendly and professional, everything went super smooth on the wedding day (except for the weather!)

Also we were excited to get digital copies of all the Pictures on a DVD. The Edge is a top notch studio and we would recommend them to anyone.

After much searching and interviewing photographers, Jon and I went with The Edge Photography. What drew us to them was their prices and quality in their pictures. Come wedding day, they surpassed our expectations and we are extremely happy with the result. We had two photographers that I swore never took a break. They worked hard taking picture after picture. They even listened to me about the pictures I saw from other brides and wanted to mimic as well as giving professional advice for some spectacular shots. The pictures that we received are truly a piece of art. We were looking for something a little more “creative” then just the normal wedding pictures. Don really captured the perfect moments and froze them in time. We love that we have all the thousands of pictures on disks to use and give to our relatives. After an extensive search on the web for a wedding photographer we meet with Don and Ines at there Leesburg location. We immediately felt comfortable with them and there work. Don assisted us not only with ideas for our engagement photos but also in selecting a videographer and gave us feedback on our location and minister. Wow! We are so happy with our pictures from The Edge Photography. It is so hard to decide which pictures to choose to put into an album. Mark and I were married Apil 25, 2010. It was so easy to work with Don and Ines. We have so many beautiful pictures of the ceremony. I have to say, I don't even remember seeing Don during the whole ceremony. He got so many great pictures of our horse and carriage. We had 5 nieces that were in our wedding. We have some wonderful action pictures of them running in the grass outside of the reception hall. They were both very flexible, dependable and very easy to work with. Toward the end of the night of our wedding day, we were going to get a huge thunderstorm. I had planned on getting some pictures with some sparkler's. He saw me and said that from the weather we had just a few minutes to get some great pictures. Our friends lit the sparklers...Mark and I went running out in between our guests, and Don captured some truly amazing shots! We are so grateful to have our wedding day documented so beautifully.

Oh my god when we got our pictures from The Edge's we were SO impressed! We didn't know what to expect, but for what we paid for they really did a great job. Would recommend them anytime!

Don Harper and his assistant, Stewart, were the photographers for our wedding in Leesburg, VA on December 5, 2009. They were absolutely wonderful! One of the things I really liked about them was that they were so inconspicuous. They captured the whole event beautifully, and got some wonderful candid shots, and I never even noticed they were there most of the time. I've been to weddings where the photographer was literally laying down in the middle of the aisle while the bride walked down, in an attempt to get the "perfect" shot. All of my wedding shots were beautiful and unless they were actually posed photos, no one even noticed they were being taken.
Once the photos had been taken and it was time to do the designing, Don's wife Ines did a lovely job with the album and slide show! She really managed to pick out the best photos that captured the whole celebration. We will always cherish the album she made for us.
We will definitely be using The Edge Photography for any future photos we need taken (i.e. Christmas cards, baby photos, etc).

To say I was blown away from the services provided by Don, Ines, and company would be an under statement. The wedding planning process and events leading up was very stressful and I could always count on Don! Even though he hadn't been to the church or venue before he was able to find AMAZING shots and took SOOOO many photos. He spent the entire day of the wedding with us and didn't miss a shot! When I had a very rainy Oct. 17 wedding, Don didn't miss a beat and took some amazing outdoor photos even though it was 40 degrees and drizzling outside! At the reception when the party got started he got the best shots of our Dads taking shots, people dancing on the table, and me and my new husband having special moments on the dance floor. When we had our wine and cheese party, Don and Ines meet us, the day before thanksgiving just so all our family could attend. What amazing commitment! Then the slide show and album are beyond beautiful thanks to Ines loving, careful and creative placement! She treated it as if it was her own wedding album. I could go on and on! After meeting with several photographers I could am so glad that I went with this husband and wife team!

Don was our photographer for our wedding on October 9th, 2009. He and Ines were very kind and great to work with throughout the whole process. We did our engagement photos and wedding photos with Don, and we thought that they all came out wonderfully. Despite the fact that we only had one photographer (Don) cover the wedding, we were impressed by how many shots he was able to get. He must have been running around the whole time! Some how through all of this, he managed to stay unobtrusive and we barely noticed he was there. We were also very appreciative that Don and Ines helped us to stay within our budget - it really made a difference for us. Don and his assistant were awesome photographers. They were with my bridal party and the groomsmen the whole day. When it came time for the formal pictures, he listened to what we wanted and also thought of some creative pictures. If rained on our wedding day and Don was standing out in the rain with his rain gear taking pictures and took all our worries away. During the reception I never saw the photographers, but they got tons of pictures. They were very unobtrusive which is EXACTLY what we wanted. We enjoyed the day and didn't worry about a thing when it came to pictures. He took some of the best pictures I've seen and we are able to look at them and see how much fun we had because he was able to captured the love and fun times through the camera. I would highly recommend him to anyone...he had the best prices for the amount of pictures and times and everything afterwards. I will be using him again if I need a professional photographer.

I believe that the pictures of your wedding day are THE most important memory that you will cherish forever. Wonderful photos, a beautiful album, and a very pleasant experience from start to finish... that pretty much sums up The Edge. Don and his team are extremely adept at capturing the candid moments without being intrusive, as well as creating interesting and traditional poses. Ines does a spectacular job touching up the photos and recreating our special day with her beautiful layouts. We would not hesitate to recommend The Edge for our friends and family for any special event.

Don and his assistant were awesome photographers on our wedding day. They were very accomodating and followed both the bride and groom around prior to the wedding, including pictures taken at several locations. In addition, they were very patient with the young children included in our bridal party. They caputured great moments including posed pictures and candid shots throughout the whole day. the pictures of the ceremony and following reception are amazing! The turn around time for us to see our pictures was also very quick. We have gotten so many compilents from family and friends of the DVD slideshow that Don created for us. We have not gotten our wedding album created yet, but I am sure Ines will do a fabulus job....all of the samples in their studio are stunning.

Everyone we dealt with from The Edge was great. Don was extremely flexible working out our engagement pics - the weather just wouldn't cooperate. As for the quality of the shots, my mother-in-law never likes pictures of herself - she loves these!

When we began planning my wedding coordinator sent me a list of vendors and The Edge Photography Studio was included on this list. They were the first and only photography studio that we looked at. I fell in love with their work from the moment I saw the website. My husband- always one to compare several option before making a decision- said ok, lets go for a consultation however we should speak with at least 3 photographers before making a decision. Well an hour later my husband had completley changed his mind and was in agreement with me! His turning point? The sample wedding albums we were able to view. We both fell in love with the contrasting black and white photos that contained a single colored item. Since the wedding we have ordered several additional photos including a special order print that is absolutely stunning! We are so pleased with the album and photos that we plan on using The Edge Photography Studio to capture all of our memorable moments in the future!

Don, Pat and Ines captured our wedding day perfectly! The photography and albums are gorgeous - I couldn't have dreamed of a more fantastic end product. Ines is a rock star with her album designs and was SO easy to work with. Everything flies by so quickly on the big day, so I was relying heavily on beautiful photos to help me remember and relive it for years to come. Beautiful photographs and story telling of the entire day, from the wedding morning brunch for the bride and her maids to the happy couple departing in their limo amidst twinkling luminaries. HOWEVER, as georgeous as all the photos were, there was not one actual formal photograph of the bride and groom, their grandparents, or the families, even tho we asked for some of these to be taken. Lots of wonderful candids, but the formal shot to remember them by is non-existant.
We declined the album and opted for the digital version only with few photos ordered. Family was disappointed there were only candids to remember this wonderful day.

The Edge Photography is amazing. We were very impressed from the moment we met Don & Ines. They really stood out to us with their warm personalities, they were passionate about what they did, and the photos and albums were beautiful. We met with them twice because photography was so important to us,since that's what you always have from the wedding. The second time we met with them we requested to see an entire collection from a wedding. Any photographer can put together an album of 100 nice photos, but not every photographer can take hundreds and hundreds of fantastic photos. The vast majority of Don's photos were wonderful! The other photographers we met with cost more, some didn't have the passion, or their pictures just weren't at the same level. With the Edge, you get two photographers (more photographers means more photos and the same moment captured from different views/angles), unlimited hours(Don and his associate worked at least 13 hours on our event!), and you get the full rights to your pictures. They even put together a wine/cheese party and slideshow for us to show us our photos for the first time. To say that I am happy with the Edge is a huge understatement!

The Edge Photography was an exceptional value and the right choice for our special day. From the first time we met Don and Ines they made us feel comfortable with their skills, quality of service and the packages that they offered. Throughout the planning of our wedding the team from the The Edge Photography was very responsive and professional. We were very impressed with their follow up a couple of days prior to the event to make sure that they understood all of the people involved and the other key people (extended family members) that we wanted to be photographed. On the day of our wedding we were just blown away with their professionalism, their unobtrusive style of photography, and the amount of beautiful poses. The final results are AMAZING!! We love our wedding album and its encasement, proofs, etc. Whenever our family or friends come over they rave about how good we look. They love our album with the cameo of us on the outside. We had so many great album options in which to choose.

The edge was great... We haven't gotten our pictures yet so I can just tell you about the day of stuff. Taufiq was our main photographer and David was the second. We had them both all day (and I do mean all day 10am-11:30pm). They were both great. Taufiq hung with the ladies and David met up with the guys before the wedding. Taufiq, besides being a great photogrpaher, was fun to be around and sucha help. He kept us on schedule and even took care of the little things like plugging my cell phone in to charge before we left my house etc... They ended the night with some fun pictures of us in our hotel & hotel room. Can't wait to see the pics!!!

Don and Taufiq were complete professionals on our wedding day. We would definitely recommend The Edge Photography to any couple. We received so many comments from friends and relatives after our wedding about how they barely saw the photographers at all during the ceremony and reception. Our priest's number one pet peeve is to have photographers disturbing the ceremony... well this was definitely NOT the case. And the best part was seeing the beautiful pictures, and thinking, "where were they when they took that?" When we were shopping around for a photographer, we were very disappointed with the lack of quality and professionalism from our other options. However, when we met Don and his wife Ines, we knew from the moment we opened their first photo album that they were right for us. We knew we could count on them to provide us with an assortment of beautiful photos, which is exactly what they did... at a reasonable price too. Their prices were comparable to other photographers, but they offered higher quality photographs, professionalism, and to top it off, you share copyrights to your photos... so they're YOUR photos. Other photographers only provide proofs and you have to pay an arm and a leg when ordering photos through them. To make a long story short, we were definitely pleased with their service and quality of photos and professionalism, and would definitely recommend them!!
