Unfortunately, I ended up canceling my wedding. I contacted Karen immediately to inform her that I had to cancel my contract. According to the contract, the initial deposits were not refundable. Those deposits were 100 for event coordination, 100 for linens and 200 for flowers. NO WHERE in the contract does it say that any additional payment is not refundable. I contacted her to get my money back and she told me that I would not be getting it back because I had met with her three times and my canceling meant that she lost too much business. She then told me that I could APPLY THE MONEY TO ANY FUTURE WEDDING. Who the heck says that to someone who JUST called off her wedding. Absolutely ridiculous. So now she has 3,000 dollars of mine. 400 of which I totally accept as lost, but the other 2600!? Guess now on top of all the heartache of breaking off an engagement, I now have to deal with small claims court. Absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention that any time I did contact her, it took her weeks to get back to me and the very first time I met with her, I waited in her living room for half an hour. I should have known then that it wouldn't go well...

I feel terrible for Brittany,but unfortunately our contract clearly states that at the time of a second meeting 25% of the balance is due. I actually had 3 separate meetings and we fully met our obligation towards that portion of the contract. No where does it state that any money will be refunded for a cancellation. This bride first reserved her date in July of 2011 she is getting married Memorial Day weekend and had reserved our services for day of coordinating, fresh floral,ceremony decorating, and reception decorations. For the last 6 months we have turned away numerous opportunities to book additional events on that weekend and in all likelihood there will not be any other opportunities to book coordinating or flowers for another client with this late of notice. I always tell our clients that just because there money paid isn't refundable I still keep it on the books for them so if they ever need our services in the future they can apply it towards their new order, no matter how long in the future it may be. That's a policy that NO OTHER business would offer thier clients! Again, I am sorry they are upset, but 25% of the contracts were completed and 25% of her balance was due.

Karen has always responded to our emails in a timely manner. Everything was set up wonderfully and looked exactly the way I had envisioned. It was beautiful! We could not have been happier!

I hired Karen to do my Gift Favors, Flowers, Invitations, Chair covers, Sashes, Cordinating, Centerpieces, and more! When I met with her, she showed me multiple times what my wedding would look like. Once we even met as a final time at my hall. I don't see many vendors do that anymore. She was always in contact with me and gave me very helpful tips! Without her I don't know how I could have completed my wedding!! The day of my wedding she came bright and early to give me lunch, help me get my wedding dress on, and deliver my boquets. I almost fell over crying, that's how BEAUTIFUL it looked!!!! After the Ceremony, she carried all the items she put at my church to my hall! When my Limo arrived at the Venue I walked in and the Centerpieces glowed like shining stars in the sky. IT WAS GORGEOUS!! The chair covers were tucked in- just liked they showed me at my meetings, my sash tie was exactly what I wanted it to be, and my favors were set up just how I wanted it to be!!! Without Karen I wouldn't have had any of that!! If I chose to get re-married would still and always go with The Elegant Touch!!!! I would recomend her to anyone I knew that was getting married and I know that they would have the PERFCT wedding just like I did!! GO WITH THE ELEGANT TOUCH!!!!!!

We only rented chiavari chairs from Karen, and it all turned out ok. We met with her husband for our first meeting and then all our communication was by email. Our initial reservation was for 100 chairs, then we upped it to 140, then gave the final count at 130. She always sent me an updated invoice to reflect the new number and it was always correct. On Saturday morning she showed up on time and the chairs looked lovely when they were all set up.

The Elegant Touch was recommended to me by another bride who used her and all I can say is she made our vision come true! She was always there when I had a question or second guessed myself in the decisions that we made with the centerpieces, chair covers and linens. Karen is a strong woman and sometimes persistant but as a bride I know how stressful planning can be, trust in her and you will have the most BEAUTIFUL day ever!
She was able to set the room up the day prior to the wedding and when I walked into the room for the first time I burst into tears, the room was so beautiful and elegant. Exactly what we wanted! It was so fun seeing the room put together with everything my husband and I picked out. She even custom ordered tableclothes that we wanted and were not charged extra. The things we rented through Karen helped us set the tone for our "winter" theme. Highly recommended!

You made me want to cry when I saw how wonderful everything looked the day of our wedding. Everyone at our wedding said how great everything looked and we are still getting comments on it today. When first meeting Karen she seemed like exactly the person I wanted to deal with for my wedding. She spent time talking to us about what we wanted and so fourth. Everytime we had to meet at her house which was about a 45 minute ride for us. Not that the ride bothered me but I made the mistake and thought our second appointment was an hour after we were supposed to be there, got there and she had a huge attitude and said she thought she was the one "loosing" it. As things went on, we ordered our invites, those came back wrong. Not terrbily, and they still were used. One thing about Karen is she likes everything her way. She wanted me to do everything in satin and I wanted NOTHING in satin. Settled on scalloping and sashes in satin. Like the other user mentioned, she doesn't want you to be around and lied to us about when she was setting up. Instead of calling me to comfirm number of chairs she decided to decorate them all and charge me for the difference. Instead she e-mailed me that night before to tell me that. Wedding day, I get the e-mail 2 hours before needing to get to my appointment and she already left. We fly to the reception site and it is a royal mess. First off, we were missing an "important" table and she insisted it was there. Nope, I have pictures. The napkins were terribly folded and placed horribly, (I have pictures as well) her scalloping looks like CRAP, all I could see were safety pins. To top it off, I gave her 2 swatches and the COLOR WAS WRONG. She is way overpriced for her quality of work, never will recommend her ever.

I would not recommend this vendor due to the lack of communication. They promised to be at my event early on Friday and were not there till later in the evening. They made several mistakes in writing up the cost of supplies and when asked about the error they offered to pay for the mistake. However, when it came time for a refund of what I did not use. They would not give me back my money. Please beware!

Wonderful value, least expensive chair covers in all of Wisconsin I bet! The covers were also very high quality. It was nice that they met me at the venue to show me samples. I never once saw them or had to deal with them on wedding day, it was really nice to have it just be done on time and not have to worry.
I too have had difficulty getting the money back that she owes me, although as of today I have been assured that there is a check in the mail. We will see I suppose. My advice to other brides is to go VERY conservative with the numbers as you will not see any extra money she owes you for a long time. It has been 4 months and she has barely responded or followed through with getting my money to me (the amount is over $100).

Bride did receive her refund in a timely manner,but first we needed to verify that all the linens used were returned without any damage and then the refund needs to be turned over to our accountant for processing. It does that some time for this process to be completed
