The Eventful Planner

Tammy is the most amazing wedding planner ever. We planned my daughter's wedding from another state. She returned phone calls promptly with the information requested. She helped us plan the perfect menu. We received so many compliments from our guests on her fabulous food. She found the perfect band for us. The flowers were beautiful. Creativity is her strong point. Plus she is so patient, kind and fun!

Living in Texas and having a destination wedding in Florida I was nervous about everything coming together. I flew out to meet Tammy and immediately loved her. She was to the point and never once tried to talk me into something I didn't want. She also completely respected my budget which I really appreciated. I still can't believe how easily it all came together. I absolutely loved everything about my wedding from the food to the decor to the lighting -well, you get the point! And I could not have done any of it without her making it happen and working her magic.

Being from out of state & my son's wedding was to be in Destin Fla I immediately began researching caterers for our rehearsal dinner. My decision was based on the reviews from this website & my initial contact with Tammy at The Eventful Planner. Our rehearsal dinner was at the Destin Bay House which is a fantastic venue & was at Tammy's reccomendation. Everything that Tammy did for me was outstanding! She was wonderful work with & was a tremendous help. The food (low country boil) & our "passed desserts" were absolutely delicious! My guests raved about everything! Being from the east coast of Georgia even my family members who are great cooks themselves when it comes to a low country said that the shrimp were cooked perfectly! I was thrilled & could not be happier with my choice! She will not let you down!

I would absolutely recommend Tammy the Eventful Planner for any event! The food was AMAZING and the staff was all wonderful. She was so fabulous to work with and made my wedding come together so easily. Everything she did for us were above and beyond my expectations. Any bride getting married would be crazy not to use her for planning and/or catering!

I have nothing but stellar things to say about Tammy and her staff at the Eventful Planner! From the very beginning of planning our wedding, Tammy was very helpful in pointing us in the right direction and answering all of our questions...and I had many of them! She always has a smile on her face and sweet personality. Our wedding was absoultely perfect and I know that Tammy and her staff had a lot to do with that. Our guests keep raving about the food, the ambiance, the decorations etc. If anything went wrong at our wedding, I had no clue because Tammy took care of everything to make it an awesome, special day! I cannot say enough nice things about Tammy and Kim! We planned my wedding from another state, so everything was taken care of via email and phone calls. Also, it was planned in less than 2 months! Everything went off without a hitch and it was the most perfect day. We used Tammy for full service planning. She answered every question in a timely manner and she was so extremely friendly. She was able to take the ideas I had and mold them into the coolest wedding I have ever been to, if I don't say so myself! Kim was my coordinator and she was so awesome to work with! She fit right in like part of the family. I trusted them 100% and they made my wedding day completely stress free!

We also used Tammy for catering. She helped me come up with a great menu. I received so many compliments about the food- it was delicious! Everybody at our wedding said that it was the most unique, laid-back wedding they had ever been to and it was hands-down the best wedding food they have ever had.

I used Tammy for my October 1 wedding in Destin. I live in mississippi so it made things alot easier for me. She was great. She always responded to my emails in a timely matter. Seeing that I like to be in control so It probably seemed like I was annoying at times lol. I had lots of compliments on the food... its was great. The wedding turned out beautiful and Tammy handled everything perfectly. I would recommend her.

Delicious food, great service! I never tried the food before hand, but it was delicious and got rave reviews! The shrimp and gouda grits are amazing!

We can not say enough good things about Tammy and team at The Eventful Planner. They are amazing to work with and made our whole planning process totally enjoyable and fun! The Eventful Planner handled our wedding planning from day 1 through wedding day, and also did the catering for our rehearsal dinner and reception. Tammy was the best wedding planner I could have imagined. She was organized, professional and her personality seemed to fit just right with Steve and I. She kept us on track, never made us feel like we were behind on anything, and had some terrific ideas that we used in our ceremony and reception. You must talk to her if you are considering a destination wedding in the Destin area. She's the best!
The catering and staff from The Eventful Planner were awesome. All food was so delicious and beautifully displayed and served. Everything from the passed appetizers to the pork tenderlion to the mac and cheese was fabulous. The staff was all very friendly and showed interest in our event. They were super!

Tammy from The Eventful Planner was excellent!!! She made planning my wedding possible while living in New Orleans. Tammy had great suggestions, connections and advice while still allowing me to be a very hands-on bride and contribute as much as I wanted. She helped me create a vision for my wedding and contacted everyone who could make it happen. She kept us on track and followed up with our vendors and the schedule.

I am very picky when it comes to food, and since I was having a destination wedding I thought it was going to be very hard finding a caterer who would work out the perfect menu for our day. However, Tammy exceeded all my expectations. She was amazing!!! I would recommend her to anyone.

Our wedding was for 100 people based at a rental house in Santa Rosa Beach - so we had to create the entire weekend of events from scratch. Tammy had great suggestions, connections and advice. She kept us on track and followed up with our vendors and the schedule. She handled things I didn't even know I was supposed to worry about!! I truly didn't have a thing that didn't go as planned - and we really believe it was because of Tammy. The meals that she catered for us were wonderful and our family and friends loved the food. YUMMM-O!! Is all I have to say about the food! I had a destination wedding so I thought it was going to be very hard finding a caterer for my event. I had been to a wedding in the 30-A area a year prior to mine and remembered how much I LOVED the food! I contacted that bride and she put my in contact with Tammy. Tammy is like your long lost best friend from elementary school. You just click with her. She made the catering the process so easy from a distance. Tammy is also an event planner but was booked for that job the weekend of my wedding. Even though I did not use her for that and I had my own. I could ask Tammy any questions about the wedding process and she was glad to help in any way she could. Her food is so delicious and the wait staff, chefs and bartenders are very professional. Food was always cleared. Empty glasses were taken away. When you have an outside wedding on a blank slate you get nervous about bringing EVERYTHING in, but with Tammy you dont need to be! Everything was so great and I would recommend her to anyone!!

We cannot rave enough about Tammy and her staff. She made our wedding more beautiful than we imagined possible. When we decided to change the location of our reception to the beach, with only a month until the wedding, she didn't blink. Tammy just made it happened.

The food was amazing and was raved about by everyone. The fried green tomato BLT sandwiches were to die for. The smores at the end were great.

Planning a wedding long distance can be nerve-racking. It is hard to trust someone, with such an important occasion, that you do not know. Tammy eased our fears, answered all our questions, and made the wedding planning and event relaxing, stress free and enjoyable. We cannot recommend Tammy enough. If we could scream it from the rooftops we would.

Tammy was so fun and I couldn't have asked for more organization and support, as well as patience from anyone. Unfortunately, my daughter cancelled her wedding in the final week but Tammy was so supportive, we don't know what we would have done without her. She worked with everyone to turn the reception into a fun birthday celebration. Tammy is great not just in the best of times, but in the difficult times, as well.

Tammy was absolutely wonderful! She was very professional, budget conscious and very creative. I did not have to worry about anything on the day of my wedding and it was more amazing than I could have ever imagined. Her food was delicious and everyone raved about it. Tammy was wonderful to work with. We got married down in Destin, but live in Nashville, TN, so it was great to have her help with everything since she's in Destin. Tammy was absolutely amazing to work with. We got married in Destin, but live in Jackson, MS, so it was great to have her help with everything. Her contacts for flowers, cake, etc were all wonderful and did a fantastic job. She was very quick to respond to an email and get back to you. She would also be in charge of relaying information between vendors which was amazing! Her food is amazing as well!

Tammy was awesome! She was my rock and my "go-to" gal for everything wedding oriented. Sometimes I would think I would call her too much, especially when I would call her about wording invitations, or something silly like that. But she was always helpful and never made me feel like I was bothering her. She was such a joy to work with and when we would share ideas/decisions, it was a collaboration, not a control of power. She had lots of patience and made me laugh so much. Which is so important! She puts you in a great mood.

She also went above and beyond the call of duty on our wedding day. My husband got a severe tension headache while he was getting ready and Tammy pulled one of her employees (who was also a massage therapist) to give him a neck/head massage. Who does that?!?! Tammy does. Because she rocks! He's since said that his wedding day would have been ruined by the migraine if not for the massage. I would use Tammy again if I had to (I hope not!) and I would recommend her to everyone. We also used her for catering as well.....and yum! yum! We had compliments from all our guests. They all said how great the food was, the service, and some even said it was the prettiest wedding they've ever been to!! :) Go with Tammy. All the way!

Tammy is fabulous to work with. She took care of everything. There wasn't anything we needed to do the day of our wedding except enjoy ourselves. She coordinated all our vendors, set the timeline and kept everyone on schedule.

Tammy's food was simply delicous. We originally met with her for our tasting several months before the wedding. It was very good and we knew we made the right choice in hiring her. Well, the day of, the food was even better. We couldn't have been happier with the food and service Tammy provided. She made our dream wedding truly amazing. The Eventful Planner did an incredible job with the catering for my wedding! The food is great and the best part is that Tammy (caterer and event planner) comes along with it, so that makes it even better! She is fabulous and a joy to work with!

Tammy was one of the first vendors we hired, and she is so much fun to work with. You can't help but be happy when you talk to her. I don't think she ever has a bad day - she was always upbeat & happy to help me however possible. It was so nice to receive Tammy's occasional emails checking up on me. Most importantly since she is a caterer, her food is drool worthy. My mom and I had a tasting with Tammy in February and we left town craving her mushrooms. We've been talking about "Tammy's shrooms" for months now! Tammy's assistant/head chef Laura catered our wedding reception and did a fabulous job. I met Laura the morning of our reception when she arrived to set up, and she was just as upbeat and sweet as Tammy. Her staff was so attentive and thorough all night up until the last few minutes. Tammy & Laura both deserve kudos for being amazing chefs and amazing women!

At first, me & my dad thought we could do everything in planning my wedding. VERY soon into the planning process we realized that we COULDN'T! We were referred to Tammy from a friend. I've never met anybody that was so excited to work with us! She was so full of life, very assertive when she needed to be, & made my dreams come true!! It didn't take her long to figure out my taste & what I liked. She even came up with some awesome ideas herself!

She was always on time, always responded VERY quickly to calls & emails. I'd heard so many bad reviews about Wedding Planners, and I'll be honest...at first I was kind of skeptical about getting one but now, looking back, I wouldn't have had it any other way. I didn't have to worry about ANYTHING as the day got closer. I would tell Tammy some things I'd have to get done before the wedding & she'd always be so happy & say "I'll do it! I don't want you to worry about ANYTHING right now."

To sum it up, she was amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding. If it weren't for her, things would have turned out a lot differently & my stress level would've been up the roof! I'm so thankful we found her. I know any bride would be so lucky to have her as a wedding planner & I promise you won't be disappointed!

The experience we had during the tasting as well as all the planning was nothing but positive. During our wedding, I believe Laura was there in Tammy's stead. What a wonderfully positive and professional person despite her poor foot injury! The wait staff during the event were so discreet I barely saw them despite dishes and glasses disappearing. The food was amazing and although most scoff at not remembering their food during weddings, Russ and I certainly will! Many people commented positively and we admitted we could not take the credit. Thank you. We enjoyed working with you all.

Tammy (AKA the eventful planner) is amazing. We literally had the best wedding ever thanks to her planning (and food). She has the most creative ideas and constantly was available to us (although she had a number of other brides). We were planning from Birmingham- so she would set up meetings and we would come down for a couple of days at a time. She was so awesome with her scheduling. She found us the BEST vendors (tent, florist, cake, band, etc.) and our wedding at Rosemary Beach really reflected all of her hard work. Everyone told us that we had the best wedding band and food (thanks to Tammy) and they said that the decor looked like something from INSTYLE magazine (we used Nouveau Florists which Tammy set up). A lot of my friends that had destination weddings had "interesting" experiences with their planner- they were so jealous of the amazing job that Tammy did and how she put together such an incredible night/ weekend.

Her food is amazing- very gourmet, fresh, and absolutely delicious. She did heavy h'or dourves such as crabcakes and coconut shrimp (both awesome), a full buffet with salads, fruits, beef, chicken, and a mashed potato bar (everyone loved that!) and then a late night surprise with mini burgers and fries. The food was unique, very fresh and amazing!

I can't say enough about this vendor. I was so calm and collected the entire process because I knew that Tammy was in charge and that everything would be wonderful. And it was! The best day of our lives!

Tammy and her staff were very professional and FUN to work with. Our wedding couldn't have been more perfect and the food and service provided by The Eventful Planner was WONDERFUL! A big "Thank You" from both Jeff and myself.

We could not have had a better experience than we did with The Eventful Planner. Tammy and her staff were outstanding the day of the wedding going above and beyond in many cases. All planning and details were done in a flexible and accommodating manner as I (MOB) live in Chicago. I heard about Tammy "The eventful planner" through my wedding cake vendor (Fatty Patty's) which was also awesome. I was going through another vendor Forever I do for ceremony when I made the call to Tammy to talk about catering my reception. Tammy was amazing from the first phone call she was asking questions and exchanging ideas that I had not even thought about. After the phone call (maybe a little over 2 months before the wedding) I changed vendors for the ceremony and asked her to do BOTH. She was great! I recieved information I asked for within two days that I had been waiting two-three months for!!
Tammy kept in contact with me throughout the next couple months and called to check in, it was great!
The day of the wedding she was awesome she was our wedding coordinator, caterer and planner all in one. It was so nice to have her there with all the answers!! We rented a beach house where the ceremony (beach) and reception (at the house) both took place. She transformed the patio to a beautiful reception, the food was awesome, the staff was professional and very polite. Everyone went above and beyond. I am so thankful we found such a wonderful person to plan, coordinate and cater our wedding day. (She even put up with the groomsmen peaking at the food.)

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Tammy & our Eventful Planner experience. From the beginning, we felt as though we were working with a true friend. She helped with music ideas, decor ideas, securing our amazing band, and many other aspects of our wedding. The weather was unbearable leading up to our wedding, which led to a few last minute changes to our plan (rentals, rehearsal, etc.). Tammy helped us maneuver the obsticles with ease...and even managed to help me keep my sanity. The weather cleared a few hours before our outdoor ceremony, and the entire event was perfectly executed. ...Not to mention, the food was amazing! We are still receiving compliments on the food 3 months later. I highly recommend the Eventful Planner.

Tammy at The Eventful Planner was a God-send for my wedding!!! I live out of town and planning my wedding as a destination event was going to be a challenge, but then I found Tammy's website and as they say, "I knew she was the one" to help me plan the most important day of my life. She was so flexible on meeting times and made each meeting fun whether it was tasting food, searching for linen rentals, or scoping out the sites. She is an absolute blast to work with and doesn't leave any detail undone. The food she catered was amazing and the guests all raved at how yummy everything was and how beautiful the presentation turned out. I cannot say enough great things about Tammy and The Eventful Planner. The Eventful Planner provided catering and "Day Of" Coordination for our April 24, 2010 wedding. The food was delicious! The display was beautiful and very tastefully done. Days after the event guests are still raving about the beef tenderloin and mashed potato bar. And we could not have pulled off the event without Tammy serving as coordinator. She followed-up with all of my vendors and I did not have to take any calls the day of the ceremony and really that entire week. We had to move the ceremony indoors at the last minute. Tammy made sure that all the details were taken care of and it was just perfect. I highly recommend The Eventful Planner for your catering needs and Tammy is an excellent coordinator. Her bubbly personality makes her so easy to work with and it is contagious. Definitely the type of person you want to be around on the day of your wedding.

Overall, we were extremely pleased our wedding...it ended up being perfect! The catering, both the service onsite at the reception and the food was exceptional. I would highly recommend the eventful planner catering for any event!

My husband and I had a destination wedding and we were nervous about choosing our vendors from a different state. After browsing many reviews and websites, we chose Tammy from The Eventful Planner to cater and provide "day of" planning for our wedding. My husband is very particular and likes good food so he had many questions leading for the caterer leading up to our big day. During a couple phone conversations, my husband felt that Tammy was distracted and rushed. However, despite our intial concern that she may not have given us her full attention, when our day came, we realized that she had paid attention to EVERY detail. The food, from appetizers to deserts and everything in between, was the best I have had any catered event. Everything was fresh, creative, and delicious! Best of all, it was VERY resonably priced. Tammy also turned out to be our hero on the day of the wedding. All day, she was running around making sure everything ran smoothly. The entire day was flawless because of her impeccible planning. Our experience with Tammy was great! She took our event way beyond our expectations. Not only was it tastefully done, it was beautiful. We never imagined the weekend turning out so wonderful. Even when we thought there might be rain, she was on top of it coming up with a plan B making it where there was little stress involved. The flower vendor she used was remarkable and between her and Tammy the creativity flowed. Would highly recommend using this planner!

I found The Eventful Planner via Google when I was planning my wedding in Destin all the way from England where my husband and I live. Tammy was incredibly helpful and quick to respond to me with all the questions I had, which was EXTRA good because I was planning my wedding from the other side of the world! When we finally met, I absolutely LOVED Tammy and the way she handled her business. She was extremely kind enough to meet me and my husband the week before the wedding at our reception venue to let us know how she would set things up, and she also gave us a taster of what she would be cooking for us. The food was AMAZING!!!! Another amazing thing about Tammy was that she was kind enough to cater our pre-wedding day party, and she was able to cook up a delicous BBQ buffet for the people who attended our rehersal dinner/wedding party. This was a last minute idea we had, and she only had 24 hours to prepare....and she did GREAT!!!!!!!! Tammy and her wonderful staff did a great job on the day of our wedding, and I would 1000000000% recommend her to cater anybody's event!

I used The Eventful Planner for my Cater and Wedding Coordinator. Right from the start Tammy the owner was amazing. She was excellent in turn around time on calling back and working with my budget. This was a super plus because I was a bride planning a wedding in another state which added more stress and having to have faith in all your vendors. Using her Coordinating services also saved me money. At first I called vendors for quotes. It was extremely hard to get a hold of people and the prices were very high, I felt like I was getting over prices on everything just because I was a bride from out of state. Then I found Tammy! Everything from flowers, rentals to the amazing menu, she had the best price quotes for me. I saved money using her Event Coordinator services. I was so happy about that. Also she had the best coordinator fee prices in the area. As for the food, WOW! It was not the run of the mill menu, the food was delicious. All the guest commented on how that was the best meal they had ever had at a wedding. It was like they went to fine dine restaurant. I loved the fact that Tammy’s assistant (sorry I forgot her name) made sure the groom and I had a plate of all the hors d’oeuvres that were served during our pictures. She was on top of everything and extremely helpful. The only thing I was not please with was the bartender, he was not very knowledgeable of his mixed drinks. Besides that one little thing, they were amazing. I would highly recommend The Eventful Planner to all brides in and out of states.

We loved how they cooked everything right there infront of everyone...food tasted awesome and the cooks were very nice and entertaining!

She has such delicious food, and she wants to give exactly what you want for your wedding. I truly enjoyed working with this company.

Anytime I was worried about a part of my wedding, I would talk to Tammy and I was put at ease! She did all the worrying for me. If I had to do it all over again I would choose Eventful Planner.

Eventful Planner did our catering and Day of coordinating. I was 100% pleased with food! It was delicious, plenty of selection, price was very reasonable, and presentation was great. Tammy helped with bartenders, ice service, and some vendor recommendations too.

Our coordinator Markie was very friendly however she was late to our rehearsal and did not communicate well with our photographer. She was helpful but I still felt like I had to go back and double check everything...ie, the table setup did not leave room for a dance floor & the rental company started setting up the chairs in the wrong direction.

If I had to do it again I'd probably just use them for catering.
